Going from HTTPS - HTTP

I have an application which uses the Servlet 2.2 Web Application
method of logging on a user. To do this, on the front end I have a
servlet intercept the logon request and then redirect to the proper
url using https protocol.
All of that works just fine - I get my logon page and then once I log
on, I go to my confirmation page which is the actual target of the
initial redirect.
My only problem is that at that point,l am kind of stuck in HTTPS
mode. And I really don't need to be from that point forward - I am
only using it to encrypt the signon traffic.
I don't see where changing the url links in my logon confirmation page
is an option - because if I do that then I have to hardcode an awful
lot of things that are deployment specific. Not good!
So what is the trick? I hope I am missing something obvious and easy.
This is the first time I have had to deal with getting into/out of
HTTPS mode, so I really don't know the best approach to this.

I believe it is as simple as redirecting to a page that has the url plus or
minus the "s" on the protocol. In your front component, you can detect this
condition (i.e. the wrong protocol). The details depend on your app design,
but that is the summary.

Starting in Firefox 14, Firefox will guess an address and place it in the address bar (AutoFill feature). If you have ever connected to the site using a secure (HTTPS) connection, then Firefox will try to connect security to the address suggested by the AutoFill feature. To work around this you can:
* Edit the address to force Firefox to interpret your entry literally. For example, if there is a trailing / you can remove it.
* Turn off the URL bar AutoFill feature and just use the AutoSuggest drop-down.
* Clear Firefox's memory of the site so it doesn't default to a secure connection (however, this also removes any bookmarks you have to pages on the site).
To disable the in-address-bar autofill without losing the suggestions that appear below the bar:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the filter box, type or paste '''autofill''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click '''browser.urlbar.autoFill''' to toggle it from true to false. You're done with about:config and you can close this tab.
"Forget about this site" will clear cache, history, bookmarks, and permissions for the site, and probably any saved certificate. There are two ways to get to this:
* History > Show All History, right-click an entry for the site > "Forget about this site"
* Type or paste about:permissions in the address bar and press Enter, then select the site from the list on the left side, and click the "Forget about this site" button on the right side
Depending on the size of your history and cache, this may lock Firefox up for a minute or two while everything is cleansed.

Migration of documents from a http content server into sap kpro und sap dvs

I want to migrate documents from an http 4.5 content server into the sap knowledge provider (kpro) and in sap dvs with an abap program.
I know I have to create a PHIO and a LOIO and write it in the tables DMS_PH_CD1 and (only the LOIO) in DMS_DOC2LOIO.
Where I have to write my url for accessing the document on the content server?In which table?
What fm´s do I need to create the PHIO´s and LOIO´s?
Has anyone an idea and hints (like weblinks) to integrate documents from an content server into kpro and sap dvs?

in your AppServer directory $DIR_INSTANCE/sec and is
called SAPSYS.PSE. Where the PSE is a secude (www.secude.de) specific format which contains the private and the publik key.
But I guess you won't get the private key, because its private, unless you are the Administror

Get a specific Http header field from an http request in a component

In a custom component that I've created ( which extends ServiceHandler), I'd like to access a specific http header field from the http requests that this component receives.
I assume this could be accessible through m_binder or m_service, but I didn't find any solution so far.
Any Idea?

As it may help others, I answer what I figured out.
Every details of the http request is put into the m_binder.
So a specific field can be accessed with m_binder.getEnvironmentValue("My_data")
You can also list all the available data as it is a standard properties set.

Picking values from an http URL and mapping them to a SOAP receiver

and place them in a SOAP request in a SOAP receiver adapter.

Set flag ASMA, Apply URL Parametes in ID.
Give Parameter 1 as customer (names as in URL)
Parameter 2 as pod
Access the values in UDF through configuration key. For Eg: if Parameter 1 then the value can be accessed through field URLParamOne.
I never tried this before but I beleive it should work or throw aome light to you.

I somehow don't manage to open a pdf file directly with Acrobat Reader/Pro when trying to open it from a https site and using ie8.
With http sites everything works just fine.
Are there any settings to enable this with https sites?

How to receive XML from Flex HTTP POST

We curreontly have a setup where we have a FLEX frontend send an XML through a HTTP POST and awaiting a response also in XML. On the backend this is handled relatively simply by a PHP script that basically does the following:
read data (in XML)from FlEX HTTP POST into a new temp XML file.
execute a c++ program with the XML file as one of the parameter.
return the result to FLEX
We have decided to move to BlazeDS for various reasons.
Looking at the examples bundled with BlazeDS they have a jsp example that returns an XML result to FLEX so that part is fine. I am trying to find an example of JSP (or Servlet) that is able to read the XML data from FLEX and write it into a temp XML file. I would then try to use runtime.exec to invoke a local C++ program to process the XML file the result of which will be sent back to FLEX.
Any help will be very much appreciated!

No response from server HTTP 500

I am new to Widget world (in fact this is the first one). I am trying to implement Job Monitoring widget as explained in the weblog:

I have created wrapper function module : ZBP_JOB_SELECT_SM37B
Created Webservice called: ZBP_JOB_SELECT_SM37B
I tested this web service (via web browser providing WSDL url in web services navigator) and it is working fine.
When i specify the web service URL in Widget prefernces and click on search, i m getting error "No response from server". I have followed all the steps mentioned in the web log but still i am getting errors.
I am accessing internet via proxy. Can this be a issue?
Also i read other posts regarding the same issue, which suggested to Enable all logons in SICF. Can some one give details as how to enable all logons in SICF?
Correct answers will be rewarded.

Hi,
Need advise on how to block http/https traffic from certain IPs. Created an AD group and added the machines to the group and then added a Access Policy to block 3 Protocols but it didn't work.
Any suggestions?

In the WSA, you can configure Identity Policy based on the IP/Subnet and use this Identity in an Access policy to restrict access.
1). Go to WSA --> Web Security Manager --> Identities.
2). Create a new Identity and under "Membership Definition" --> "Define Members by subnet" enter the IP addresses.
3). Now go to Access policies, create a new Access policy and select the Identity created above.
4). Now you can go to "Protocols and User Agents" for the policy and block the protocols which you do not want the PC's the use.

In my WDJ component, I need to get the ServerName, Port and the protocol (http / https) from the WDJ application URL. I am able to get the server name and the port but unable to get the protocol. Any help would be highly appreciated.
Code I am using is :

NAT type detection from a HTTP request

Hello there
I got two JAVA class : httpServer and httpClient. Running in two different machines. Server is listening to a HTTP port in one machine and on the other hand client is sending its machine IP from other PC to the server. But the client is behind a NAT. Now I can detect in my httpServer class that it is behind a NAT. I check the requesting IP and the IP send inside the packet payload. If they are different, I decide there is a NAT in between. But how can I know from such HTTP request-response what kind of NAT I am behind? This is important to know because with symmetric NAT
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_address_translation) , where the NAT binding also include the outgoing address as well, my application is having problem.
I have solution like STUN/TURN server implementation. But I would like to know the type of NAT my client is behind without any extra deployment such as STUN or TURN server.
Any suggestion to detect type of NAT without any extra deployment and merely from HTTP request-response JAVA APIs?

It seems you are asking me to configure the NAT, may be with some programming. Or may be I should run the server class on the NAT machine.
But my client and server classes will be all over the world. Thus I think it is not a practical solution to ask the NATs to assist me. The intelligence should be in my client and server messaging.
So I was wondering, is there any way out for me to get the NAT type with JAVA programming, in the server side once I get a request from the client side. But without any extra deployment.
But as you said �There's not much of NAT types.� :(

Ideally the WindowsIdentity attribute is expected as part of the URL.

This is passed as a Windows token to the AzMan policy store. Is it
something possible?
Is it possible to integrate Windows AzMan with SAP Portal? Users will

As i understand your question, you have a SAP Enterprise Portal and a Microsoft Application which uses Authorization Manager (AzMan) for some authentication / role based access.
If your Portal UME is an LDAP source you can have the windows user id of the logged in user made available to the MS application. There are a variety of ways to do it and I guess if you search SDN you will get something, if not do post back.

I can see if we can get your phone back on! I understand how important it is to have a phone. Have you tried this to see if we can get it back on? http://vz.to/1DZhteH . If it is still goes to a red Verizon screen and then to black we might need to do a master reset.
