Goods receipts, different layouts

Hi,
In goods receipt slip i see 3 layouts
1. warehouse information with storage loc & bin
2. consumption /usage information
3. warehouse information with warhouse no, storage type, bin , TR number & priority
what is the difference between these three layouts and especially between the two warehouse layouts and when those are selected.

As you said, and the long text to M7107 explains it as well,  you can manipulate yourself whether the message comes as error, warning, info or not at all.
Have you tried this?
I expect that SAP takes care about the internals, if SAP allows the consultants to change the message attributes.
You probably will not get the vendor number anymore in the material document header (or only the first vendor, but no info about the others).
If you want allow receipts from different vendors in one goods receipt (I really cannot imagine why one needs to do this, are there any time savings?), then you should test and compare the results.
SAP issues the message only in this case:
IF ( CONSI_ACTIVE IS INITIAL OR ymseg-sobkz <> K OR
               fuss-kzzug is initial and t156n-xstor is initial ).
this means that the message is only issued in case the order is not for consignment and is not a cancellation or a return

    My application creates Goods Receipt (object of type SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oPurchaseDeliveryNotes). This Goods Receipt is based on an existing Purchase Order. Creation itself (including the reference to the Purchase Order) works well.
    The problem is that using DI API, price in a document line is always set (automatically) to the price specified on the Purchase Order line. I'm not able to set the unit price to any other value. When I assign my unit price, document is added successfully, but my unit price is ignored. Unit price specified on the appropriate line on Purchase Order is used instead.

    Althought the unit price on the Purchase Order is for example 7 and in my code I assign the Price property for example 9, then when the document is successfully added, I see that on newly created document the unit price is still 7 (same as on PO). Value 9 is ignored without any errors or warnings.
    When I remove the code which connects this Goods Reception with PO (i.e. assignment to BaseType, BaseEntry and BaseLine properties), created document is correct. However when there is a connection to PO, I'm unable to set different unit price.
    Do you or anybody else have explanation for this? Or do you have some piece of working code you can provide?

    the field GR in the PO item is controlled by the usage of material being used, Account assignment category.
    In case of material which is Quantified & Valuated in the Plant, you cannot remove the GR & IR flag.
    In case of account assigned PO's this indicator is changeable.
    Using screen layouts you cannot control them.

  • Reversal of a goods receipt for PO in EUR is differently valuated.

    Hi,
    Do you know how can i solve such problem:
    The return delivery or reversal of a goods receipt for a purchase order, scheduling agreement, or production order is valuated differently than the original goods receipt becouse system takes exchane rate form the posting date. I wolud like to have such solution that system would take exchane rate from dokument date. Is that possible?
    Maby you know some sap Notes?

    Hi
    In the header of the PO there is a provision.
    Check the box in the header Exchange rate fix Under the Tab Delivery/Invoice.
    Exchange rate will be fix  from then onwards.
    I am suggesting for PO because for external procurement PO will always come into picture.

  • Mixing materials with different Goods Receipt date in the same Storage Unit

    Hello everybody,
    I´d like to know how  FIFO strategy would affect to this example:
    Adding boxes from one storage unit (pallet) to another storage unit (pallet). Both storage units have different goods receipt dates, so there is a pallet which has boxes with different GR dates.
    Would FIFO make difference among boxes inside the storage unit?. As far as I know, when adding stock (boxes) to a handling unit (pallet), the system keeps the oldest GR date and does not create new quant number for the incoming boxes

    Thank you for the input. I am receiving Stock from vendor and while creating Inbound delivery i created the Handling Unit and also packed it and i could also post it (PG Receipt). Now when i am creating TO i have that error message. The Storage Location where i am receiving is 9001and i have also maintained the partner Storage location,,, its like this Plant(1000)-SLoc(9001)-Partner SLoc(9002).... now the Storage Location 9002 is not HU managed,, the reason i gave this Storage location is, initially i gave 9001, but system said "Storage Location 9001 and 9001 must have different management systems". So now kindly tell me what is the purpose of the partner Storage location and which storage location should i give, as my partner Storage location across "1000-9001-????" thank you again for ur inputs.

  • Error Transaction Currency Differs - Goods Receipt PO

    I am trying to creat a goods receipt po for a overseas order which is in US $
    (System Currency in AUS $)
    When I try to add the Goods Receipt po i get the following error
    Transaction currency differs from account or BP currency
    [Goods Receipt PO - Rows- warehouse Code][line:0 ]

    Hi Sanjaya,
    Me again, I will be more detailed this time.
    The SO/PO will not be a problem as there is no Journal Entry created for those documents. For a Goods Receipt there is a Journal Entry created.
    The Journal will debit Stock and credit Allocation Cost account.
    The checks to be done:
    - The Business Partner must be set to either multi currency or the same currency as the document.
    - On the Item Master Data -> Inventory/Stock Data tab, check if the Item set to:
    Set G/L Accounts by: WareHouse, Item Group or Item Level.
    If it is set by Warehouse check the warehouse on the row level, if it is not already displayed use form settings to display it. Open it and check the above mentioned accounts. In this case they must be set as multi currency.
    If it is set to Item Group please check the Item Group on the Item Master Data of all the Items involved in the Goods Receipt PO. Go to these Item Groups and check the above mentioned accounts. Again, they need to be set to multi currency.
    If it is set to Iem Level, please use the Form Settings to display the allocation cost account and the stock account. The accounts will be displayed on the Inventory/Stock Data tab for each warehouse row. make sure that the accounts here are multi currency.
    If it still does not work, in the Goods Receipt PO use form settings to display the GL account on the row level. Please make sure that for every row the account that is displayed is set to multi currency.
    If there should still be problems start checking the tax accounts, after that if they are using additional expenses check those accounts as well.
    This should hopefully solve it.

  • 1 step approval good receipt with different Good Recipient

    Hi gurus,
    We have implemented SRM 5.5 (SAPKIBKT09).
    We are using standard WF's for goods receipt:WS10400002 1 step approval + WS10400010 Goods receipt without approval. This WF is working perfectly since using shop on behalf.
    Managers don't want to create any shopping cart neither confirm them. So, EMPLOYEE creates a shopping cart on behalf MANAGER throught Screen "Shopping Cart Full Functionallity" selecting "MANAGER" in field SHOP FOR and "EMPLOYEE" in field good recipient.
    After PO creation, Goods receipt without approval is working because EMPLOYEE is able to confirm the SC.
    However, when there is an internal dispacther that confirms and the 1 step approval WF is triggered, the item is going to MANAGER inbox, not EMPLOYEE's. Remember that the good recipient is the EMPLOYEE not the MANAGER, the MANAGER is only the Requester.
    Do you know why this is not working?

  • Goods receipt from process Order, different plants same warehouse

    Hi All,
    Would really apreciate guidence on my issue below.
    We plane to implement the following Org Structure:
    Plant A                 Plant B
        Warehouse 0001
    warehouse 001 shared by both plants
    I execute a process order in plant A, when I perform Goods Receipt against the process order will it show under Plant A or both Plants A & B.
    Plant A executes for Plant B as Plant B is new and all master data is set up in Plant A.
    My hope is to get the business to execute Plant B process orders in Plant B but this will require huge effort I think as masetr data will need changing etc.

    Hi,
    If you post GR in Plant - A, then the stocks in the warehouse will reflect for Plant - A & not in Plant - B.
    Although the warehouse is the same, it is linked to the combination of Plant & Storage location. You can check the warehouse stocks using LS26, just specify the warehouse number & material number.
    But there is also a concept of planning plant & production plant, so Plant A can be where the planning takes place, while Plant B is where the actual production takes place. In this case, although you produce in Plant B, the GR will be done in Plant A.

    What i wonder is when i do goods receipt in MIGO against Inbound delivery, the total goods movement status does not change to C-completely processed as expected, not like the effect when i use VL32N to post goods receipt.
    i spend long time to look for the answer but failed, please give me a hand.

  • Report with open Purchase orders and open Goods Receipt (without invoices)

    Dear All,
    We require a report in purchasing which will show:
    1. open purchase orders
    2. open goods receipts
    We do not want POs and GRs that have been created into invoices to be included in the report.
    At the moment we tried ME2N with RECHNUNG in selection parameters but it includes invoices. We have tried other selection parameters and reports but the results are not helpful.
    I have also checked SDN but there is no correct answer. Most of them specify the ME2N with RECHNUNG as a solution but this does not work for us.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    go to next screen....Go to change layout
    Select to be deliverd(Qty) and Value, also to be invoice(Qty) & Value.

  • Goods Receipt / Goods Issue / Transfer Posting

    Scenario:
    A pack contains 6 materials of same type but of 3 different colors viz Red:2; Yellow:2; White:2.
    I purchase this pack and sell the same pack.
    If sales of this pack is not not much, then i do a Goods Issue to a Cost Center. And then i want to do a Goods Receipt into my Inventory as individual items of 6.....2 nos. each of  Red, Yellow and White.
    How to do GR in to my inventory all the four materials viz:
    1. Pack (of 6 material)......ofcourse i am able to do w.r.t PO.
    2. Individual entry of all 3 types Red,yellow,white

    As per your 1st post, it seems that there would be a material code for Pack and 3 material masters for Red, White and Yellow materials (If not then create)
    And when you are selling to customer, you are selling the pack not individual material and when you are issuing against cost center, issuing the pack only.
    So
    GI of Pack; MIGO - Goods Issue > Others (Movement Type 201)
    And GR of Red, White and Yellow materials; MIGO - Goods Receipt > Others (Movement Type 202) from Same Cost Center as in GI. Enter Red, White and Yellow materials, plant, storage location, quantity, etc... manually.
    The above 2 transactions to be done separately 1st GI and the again go to MIGO and do GR.

  • Goods receipt MB01 with serial number problem

    Dear MM Experts,
    Iam a PM Consultant and this problem faced me while doing goods receipt from external maintenance order so i will appreciate any help regarding this issue,
    In serial number profiles i did the stock check indicator to give an error message if there were incosistinces in stock data,
    now this is the scenario:
    after doing an external maintenance order and creating a PO with reference to the maintenance order PR, and also entering the specified serial number in the PO:
    1) Goods Issuing: i used MB1B with movement type 541 and as the serial number already exist and not wrong so it didnt show any error messages and by checking the stock data in MMBE the material was in stock provided to vendor.
    2) Goods Receipt: when using MB01 with movement type 101 and when entering the serial number of the material it gives an error message ALTHOUGH it is the same serial number issued and the same serial number in the PO
    This is the error message :
    Stock data of serial number G081 not suitable for movement
    Message no. IO231
    Diagnosis
    The current stock information for the serial number G081 contradicts the stock information of the movement to be posted. The following stock information is valid for the document and the serial number:               Batch Number Stock data Serial data   C2
    Only the first different field for the stock data/serial data is assigned. However, further data may also be inconsistent. To determine whether this is the case, you can start an analysis.
    System Response
    Two system responses are possible (set using Customizing): If the case of an error occurring, the assignment of the serial number to this posting procedure is not possible. In the case of a warning, you can, if necessary, transfer the notification.
    Procedure
    Assign a serial number which corresponds in your stock information to the stock data of the posting. You can display the serial numbers which can be used using Select serial numbers.

    Hello,
    A possibility to fix serial number status is by running the report RISTEQ07 in SE38 transaction. Please run this report as mentioned in the SAP Note 316868 (point 2).
    While running the report please consider following points:
    The report does not set any locks on the records to be corrected, in other words, the report should only then be executed in the correction mode if the master records (within the client) are not being used in another (changing) access.
    During the search for inconsistent serial numbers, the system assumes that the stock segment is correct and the existence indicator might be incorrect.
    In the correction mode, the existence indicator is adjusted (depending on the existence of the stock segment).
    The report provides a test option (LP_TEST); if this option is active,  the system only checks whether inconsistencies exist. Corrections are  only carried out if the test mode is deactivated. Option LP_EXTD for the enhanced check should remain deactivated for the first run. In particular, if no inconsistency is recognized, the run should be repeated with the activated option.
    Another possibility is to create/post a physical inventory document for the affected material and serial number.
    Determine which material serial number is really on stock (physically on stock). You can do this, by either analyzing the history of each Serial Number or by carrying out a physical inventory.
    Before posting the Physical Inventory the stock validation of the serial number profile of the material has to be switched off in OIS2 transaction (if it is switched on).
    When you do this, you will get a Pop-up, please read the long text and execute the report RISERNR9 which is mentioned there.
    After executing this report the inventory can be posted. When this is done please switch stock validation on again and execute report RISERNR9 again.
    Perform this inconsistency correction only when you are sure that no one else is working on the system otherwise it could lead to more inconsistencies while the stock validation is switched off. Check SAP Note 612132 for further details.
    In another words, you have to:
    Create a physical inventory in MI01 transaction;
    Enter a counted quantity in MI04 transaction;
    Define each serial number to each qty on stock.

    Hi All
    Please give me the solution for the following scenario
    I want to place the order for ToolBox, it contains 5 different size of spanners
    Tool Box has the created as semi finished item
    spanners are created as Raw materials
    I placed the order for ToolBox -   100 Nos
    When i do the good receipt against  the Purchase order, system should update the spanners  stock along with tool box stock.
    How to handle this in SAP
    can any one suggest?

    Hi,
    Charlii is correct.
    Yes it updates twice the stock value.If do GR for both Semi finished material( tool box) and intern if you update raw material( Spanner) as per your scenario.
    This will lead to Finance discrepancy. Hence it is not available in standard as well as it is not advisable to go for Z development also.
    But there is way out,
    If you want to track the stock quantity of spanners based on order quantity of Tool Box.
    You can use Order qty and Order Qty SKU ( Stock Keeping unit field in Item overview - quantity and weight tab). There you can maintain the value for
    Order quantity 1(tool box) = SKU order unit 5 (Spanners).
    When you do GR for Order quantity 1. It updates 5 number for spanners.
    Keep in mind it updates only SKU.
    It won't update the Order quantity in the stock.(to Avoid double entry form FI point of view).
    But you can get the quantity of GR done for tool box (order unit via standard reports).

  • MM - Goods Receipt (MIGO) and Validity Period End (Contracts and PO)

    Hi Gurus,
    Within our PO process, I created a PO which references a contract. Both have a Validy Period Start and End set up in customizing and filled in. But my problem is that I can still enter a Goods Receipt in MIGO to that PO, after validity has ended. I've set up in customizing the system message 06-041 as Error, and I've put in Screen Layout the checkbox 'GR message' for both PO and Contract.
    Is there a way to block the GR threw IMG outside of the Validity Period ?
