GoodsMovement BAPI from VBA

Hi,
I am trying to retrive material document data through the BAPI_GOODSMVT_GETITEMS. In the following code, the connection works fine, but when I get to the line:
Set matdocitems = MatDoc.GetItems(mat)
I get an error:

Hi, how are you?
Look, it's easy to do a rfc call to SAP.
But, if you look in the Netweaver Developer Studio 7.1, the SAP CONNECTOR is deprecated. So, my recomendation is to convert your RFC's to Web Services, and consume them like that, you won't have any problem with SOAP.

  • Calling BAPI from VBA - type mismatch error

    Hi,
    I am trying to retrieve data from SAP R/3 material documents to Access VBA. In the example below, the connections works fine, but when I assign the value to the parameters, fx:
    MatDocItems.exports("MATERIAL_RA") = "000000000001032197",
    I get an error in vba: Run-time error 13: Type mismatch.
    A similar code works fine with USER_GETLIST, and I am thinking that the problem is related to the multiline check box in BAPI_GOODSMVT_GETITEMS.
    Hope someone can help,

  • Calling custom BAPI from VB/VBA

    Hello, all,
    I have written a custom business object and its associated function module.  I can single-test the business object inside native SAP, and it works successfully.  I can also establish a handle to the business object from VBA (using the .GetSAPObject method of the BAPI control object.)  I can't call the method of the custom BAPI, though--I get error message "UploadResults is not a BAPI method."  (UploadResults is the name of both my business object and the method of the business object.)  Here's my source code:
    Sub UploadChemToSAP()
    Dim gConnection As Object 'global connection object
    Dim oBAPICtrl As New SAPBAPIControl
    Dim oBAPIService As Object
    Dim boFunction As Object, boResults As Object, boReturn As Object
    'Set up connection object for SAP.  Note that the SAP BAPI ActiveX object must be available on the form or otherwise.
    Set gConnection = oBAPICtrl.Connection
    'Log in to SAP.  Seems like passwords must be in uppercase.  There are examples of people defaulting some (or all)
    'of the login values
    gConnection.logon
    Set boFunction = Nothing
    Set boResults = Nothing
    Set boReturn = Nothing
    Set oBAPIService = oBAPICtrl.GetSAPObject("UploadResults")
    Set boReturn = oBAPICtrl.DimAs(oBAPIService, "UploadResults", "Return")
    'Log out of SAP.
    gConnection.logoff
    End Sub
    To my knowledge, I have released both the business object and its associated method.  The function module has been released, too.  Any suggestions on where to go from here?
    Thanks in advance,
    Eric

    Hey,
    Please check the "Processing Type" of the function module implementing the method. It should be a Remote-Enabled module.

  • Reading data from ERP 6.0 (using BAPI) to VBA (MS Excel)

    Hi Guys,
    I want to learn something about RFC called from VBA using BAPI's.
    I was able to write a simple VBA makro to read data from single record, but now I would like to wirte something using GetData. Here I have problems and could not find useful information.
    I have something like this:
    Set boOrder = oBAPICtrl.GetSAPObject("SalesOrder")
    Set oSalesOrders = oBAPICtrl.DimAs(boOrder, "GetList", "SalesOrders")
    oCustomer = "1000"
    oSalesOrg = "xxx"
    boOrder.GetList CustomerNumber:=oCustomer, _
    SalesOrganization:=oSalesOrg, _
    SalesOrders:=oSalesOrders, _
    Return:=oReturn
    My question:
    How do I access the data I have read from ERP system using GetList?
    How do I check how mane record I read (accoriding to the selection criteria)?
    Can somebody advise me on that?
    Please not that I am using in in VBA and not VB.
    regards
    Rafal

    Hi,
    I came across this problem aswell and it's so frustraing and little information available how to resolve this, so I decided to post this.
    When you execute the transaction 'S_ALR_87013635' there are 3 options in the menu bar:-
    Output parameters...
    Data Source...
    Extract parameters...
    Go into extract parameters, click 'create extract' and enter a description.
    You should then be able to run the program. Ensure that you have the correct macro settings also i.e.
    1) Enable macros
    2) Trust all sites with Visual Basic
    Hope this helps other people with the same issue!

  • Calling BAPI_COMPANYCODE_GETDETAIL from VBA (Excel)

    Hi,
    I've successfully called a number of BAPIs in VBA, however am getting a problem with BAPI_COMPANYCODE_GETDETAIL
    It doesn't seem to pick up the structure of the tables - the 'Tables' objects just get set to 'nothing' rather than pulling back the structure, like it should. The call itself doesn't fail but obviously no data is returned.
    Much appreciate any ideas!
    Set oSAPFunctions = CreateObject("SAP.Functions")
    Set oSAPBapiFn = oSAPFunctions.Add("BAPI_COMPANYCODE_GETDETAIL")
        Set oSAPECC = oSAPBapiFn.Exports("COMPANYCODEID")
        Set oSAPICCD = oSAPBapiFn.Tables("COMPANYCODE_DETAIL")
        'Set oSAPICCA = oSAPBapiFn.Tables("COMPANYCODE_ADDRESS")
        Set oSAPTRet = oSAPBapiFn.Tables("RETURN")
        oSAPECC.Value = "xxxx"
        If oSAPBapiFn.Call = False Then
            iRet = False
        Else
    'worked
       EndIf

    Hi wg,
    Thanks for your reply, however I'm not entirely sure what you mean: the TABLES parameters are returned FROM the function module?
    However I attempted what I thought you meant and changed the code as below:
    Set oSAPFunctions = CreateObject("SAP.Functions")
    Set oSAPBapiFn = oSAPFunctions.Add("BAPI_COMPANYCODE_GETDETAIL")
    Set oSAPECC = oSAPBapiFn.Exports("COMPANYCODEID")
    Set oSAPICCD = oSAPBapiFn.Tables("COMPANYCODE_DETAIL")
    'Set oSAPICCA = oSAPBapiFn.Tables("COMPANYCODE_ADDRESS")
    Set oSAPTRet = oSAPBapiFn.Tables("RETURN")
    oSAPICCD("COMP_CODE").Value = "" <---- new line
    oSAPECC.Value = "xxxx"
    If oSAPBapiFn.Call = False Then
    iRet = False
    Else
    'worked
    EndIf
    However I got the error that oSAPICCD hadn't been set yet, probably because it doesn't seem to be pulling down the structure of COMPANYCODE_DETAIL from SAP (i.e. being set to 'Nothing').

  • How to call a BAPI from Visual Composer

    hi,
       I am new to Visual composer. can some body give me step by step information of calling a bapi or RFC from VC.
    Thanks in advance,
    Gopi

    Hi Gopi,
    Steps involed for calling RFC/BAPI from VC
    1. Choose Model->Select Data Services.
    (Alternatively, click the Data button in the task panel toolbar.)
    2. In the Portal field at the right end of the main toolbar, enter the URL of the portal from
    which you can access the back-end system used by the iView.
    For example, you could enter: http://<yourportal>:50000/..
    3. Click the traffic light icon to the right of the Portal field. The portal Welcome screen
    appears.
    4. Log on to the portal as a user that exists in the connected back-end system, or which is
    mapped to a user of that system. Click OK.
    Once a connection to the portal is established, a list of system aliases defined in the
    portal system landscape appears in the System drop-down
    list.
    From the System drop-down list, choose the SAP system that contains the function module.
    6. Under Search SAP System, click the Search tab and in the Name field, enter the search string: <RFC/BAPI name>. Then click Search (at the bottom).
    5. A list of function modules matching the search string is displayed.
    7. Drag the function module/bapi from the Data task panel into the
    workspace: The data service is added to your model.
    8. Periodically save your work. To do so, choose File->Save Model.
    Finally test the iview in VC.
    In the workspace, drag your mouse from the Input port of the data service, <inputform> and dragn your mouse from the outut port from the data service <tabelview and etc..>
    or

    Hello Ravi,
    In the proxy before calling the BAPI, construct the table, fill it with the appropiate values by lopping over the proxy request object. Now use this table for calling BAPI

  • Call BEX-Query from VBA with BEX-automatic login?

    Hi,
    I'm trying to call a query from VBA. I have two problems/questions:
    1. Automatic login?
    I want to do an automatic login. I found this peace of code here, but I get an error:

    The error is by this row:
    Set g_oFunction.Connection = g_oConnection
    Object is needed! How is the g_oConnection-object defined?
    2. How can I pass values for the parameters from VBA?
    If I open the query usually from SAP-BEX-Toolbar, after selecting the query, I get a parameter mask, where I must put in a value. How can I this automatize from VBA? Has anybody a short samplecode for that?
    Thank you for your help

    [email protected]

    Peter and others:
    What I really want to do … is write a stand-alone application that I can run from windows scheduler … that queries our BW for sales data for certain items (in a tabular form) … and pulls that data into a VB recordset, or a .NET dataset … so that I can insert the rows into another database (SQL Server, or Access) … I already know how to do all the data movement to/from datasets and databases … I just cannot figure out how to programmatically grab this sales data from BW … our company has “workbooks” already set up that aggregate WW sales information by region (IE, there is a separate workbook for each region of the world) … I can manually go into the Excel interface, tell it which items to pull the sales info for, and it dumps the data into the worksheet (organized by customer, and then by cat #) …
    So, what I’d like to do is write an app that will pull data every week or so from the BW (from each region’s sales invoice detail “workbook”), and insert it into another database that we use for reporting other, non-sales, data.
    Thoughts on this ?  Is there another, non-BEx method that is better ?
    thanks !!

  • How to create SynBO with  BAPIs from R/3 server?

    Hi,
    Can I get any documents or links regarding Syncbo creation with BAPIs from another R/3 server. I think I have to create RFC destination for this. The steps for creating RFC destination in Netweaver 2004s is also helpful for me.
    Also I need the required configurations also.

  • How to call BAPI from R/3 system

    hi,
    i am doing small application by using Model. that is calling BAPI from R/3 system. but i am not able to get data from the back end system. please suggest me regarding this problem
    thanx
    tanvi

    steps:
    1) create Model
    2) bind Model to component controller ( you can use data modeler.) 2.1) open data modeler; if your model is not there, you can add by clicking add existing model;
    2.2) create data link between model and controller, it will open map dialog.
    2.3) click and drag BAPI_xxx_Input to context of controller and select all nodes inside
      - if there is any duplicate nodes, just rename it.
    3) map context to view controller
    3.1) map input parameters separately ( which takes value for IMPORT to BAPI. select only that fields
    3.2) do map for output (exact node which contains BAPI output)
    coding:
    1) in component controller you need to instantiate model and bind to context
    BAPI_xxx_Input my_input = new BAPI_xxx_input();
    wdContext.nodeBAPI_xxx_Input my_input().bind( my_input);
    2) create a method in the component controller so that we can execute it from any of views used.
    try{
      wdContext.currentBAPI_xxx_Input my_input().modelObject().execute();
    }catch(WDRFCException e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    wdContext.node<ExactOutput>().invalidate();
    // this stmt will reflect new values
    3) Go to view and bind values to UI Elements
    in wdDoInit()
    IPrivate<Comp_Name>View.I<ExactOutput>Element  input = wdContext.create<BAPI_xxx_Input>Element();
    // see if this may demand model instance as parameter
    wdContext.node<BAPI_xxx_Input>().addElement( input);
    4) In OnAction you just executes the component controller method
    wdThis.wdGet<Com_Name>Controller().executeMyBapi();
    // executeMyBapi() is the method contains the mentioned try..catch code

  • Calling transactional BAPI from Web Dyn Pro

    Hi,
    I am trying to call an RFC from web dynpro, unfortunately I'm a java person rather than ABAP so am struggling a little.  The Bapi is BAPI_BPCONTACT_CREATEFROMDATA, which a colleague has wrapped up so that it saves data from memory and then commits.  I can successfully create sales activities using this RFC from the GUI.  I have connected it to a web dynpro screen and am sending the same information I send from the GUI but get the following error message
    Msg Type I.  Start Processing of refernce object - Handle generated: $000000001 Message variable $000000001 Msg.no 000000 Msg.no 082 MessageID V3 Lines in parameter 0
    Msg Type I.  Integrity rule F0026 broken (field check) - Object $000000001! Msg Variable F0026 Msg Variable $000000001 Msg.no 000000 Msg.no 084 MessageID V3 Lines in Parameter 0
    Msg Type E.  Partner function CR is not defined from fiedl VBKAKOM-PARVW_BPARNR Msg Variable CR Msg Variable VBAKOM-PARVW_BPARNR Msg.no 000000 Msg.no 688 MessageID V1 Lines in Parameter 0
    Msg Type I.  Integrity Rule D0008 broken(dependency) - Object CR VBKAKOM-PARVW_BPARNR! Msg Variable D0008 Msg Variable VBAKOM-PARVW_BPARNR Msg Variable CR Msg.no 000000 Msg.no 085 MessageID V3 Lines in Parameter 0
    Msg Type I.  Business partner 100000000 with function CR from VBKAKOM not in VBPAKOM Msg Variable D0008 Msg Variable 100000000 Msg Variable CR Msg.no 000000 Msg.no 075 MessageID V3 Lines in Parameter 0
    The implementation within web dynpro is forcing to add a Bapi_Sender which I don't have to specify when using the GUI.  I am sending a bapi_sender object in the call with no information which is what I do when using the GUI.  As I mentioned before the parameters I am sending work perfectly when sent from the GUI.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated and I will award generous points. FYI I am also going to post this in the ABAP forum.
    Thanks in advance John Abbott

    Hello John,
    seems to be a customizing problem in SAP. Error says, that the Partner function CR is not properly configured in the tables VBKAKOM and VBPAKOM.
    Did you try to execute the bapi from se37 with function module -> test -> single test ? That is a comparable situation
    The sender has to be a logical system, that in this case, i suppose, has to be declared in SAP (and referenced in the Partner function) to create Data. It depends on the 'type' of function you are executing, reading or creating data in SAP.
