GR and excise related

HI Guru's
I have a problem regarding gr cancellation.User had made wrong excise entries and with out knowing they have transfered the stock to production. So i have taken necessary action to bring the stock back to raw material store. So when i was canceling the GR,it was showing an error that deficit of stock QUALITY INSPECTION(which is in display mode). So i have made selected tc0de MIGO and entries as GOODS RECIEPT AND PURCHASE ORDER against movement type 102 which was fine ,but i was unable to cancel the excise duties.Pls help me out to cancel the excise duties.Points will be rewarded for helpful answer.
Orelse tell me to move the stock form unrestricted to quality.
In migo screen in the tab WHERE there is a field STOCK TYPE -it contains three options 1.blocked stock 2.quality inspection 3.unrestricted use.
My stock was placed in unrestricted use...so this problem was coming..pls let me know how to send this to quality inspection
Thanks in advance..Maximum points will be rewarded for the helpful answer.

Hi,
Hope in MIGO, the stock type is Quality inspection, if you use the mvt type 102 it won't get reversed. So you do the tranfer posting using the mvt type 322 to put your stock iinto Quality inspection, since your stock is now in unrestricted use.Other wise in Tcode J1IEX itself, you can change the excise entries by selecting the option. Try this & reply.

  • Free Goods and Excise

    Hi Friends,
    I have a scenario as
My client gives some free goods as free items in order. But these free items are excisable....so how do configure this scenario.
Where for customer it is free goods, but for company point of view, company has to pay the excise duty to authorities.
    Kindly guide on the same.
    Thanks in advance
    Shailesh

    Dear Shailesh,
    You can do like this,
1.You can define different pricing procedure for the FREE goods.(T.code V/08)
->In the Free goods pricing procedure you maintain Excise related condition types(T.code V/06)
-->You maintain R100 condition type for 100% discount after the total value.(T.code V/08).
-->Maintain seperate Account key for R100-Condition type, also assign same account key to the Price condition type (in Free goods pricing procedure only)
Maintain same account key for the Price condition type and R100 - condition type.(T.code V/08)
2.You define Different sales document type for FREE goods processing. (T.code VOV8)
-->You assign document pricing procedure C-Free of charge to this sales document.(T.code VOV8)
3.You determine the Free goods pricing procedure in OVKK transaction for this combination.
Sales areaFree goods Document pricing procedure(i.e C)Customer pricing procedure--->free goods pricing procedure.
4.When you do the Free goods process customer account should not get effet to avoid this ,you ask FI people to create seperate G/L account to post the Free Goods process values.
In VKOA transaction you assign free goods G/L account for R100 -->Condition type account key with other key fields(same G/L account For sales revenue and 100% discount).
Maintain the Condition record for R100 condition type with 100% in VK11 transaction
Now when you create Free goods sales order system will pick the Free Goods pricing procedure in that pricing Excise values and Price will come  but Total value will zero due to 100% discount.
    When you release to accounting
Excise values will posted to the respective G/L accounts.
Price and 100% discount will posted to the respective Free goods G/L account.
Note:- Make sure that you have done the CIN configuration settings regarding Excise duty.
I hope this will help you,
    Regards,
    Murali.

  • Excise modvat accounts not defined for DLFC transaction and excise group

    Dear Experts,
Iam raising this question after checking all the contents related to Sub Transaction type in SDN.
My prob is: for raw material sales scenario i have created order delivery and invoice. For Invoice i have done account determination with a different G/L in VKOA. Now i have to create an excise invoice and the accounting entry for central ED on sales should go to different G/L account. for account determination i have done the following settings:
    Maintained Sub transaction type in
IMG -> Logistics - General -> Tax on Goods movement -> India -> Basic Settings
    ->Maintain Sub Transaction types
IMG -> Logistics - General -> Tax on Goods movement -> India ->
Account determination -> Specify Excise Accounts per Excise Transaction.
Here against DLFC sub transaction Type is maintained..
    Also
IMG -> Logistics - General -> Tax on Goods movement -> India -> Account determination -> Specify G/L Accounts per Excise Transaction
Here maintained Excise group with DLFC Company Code subtransaction type, chart of accounts and all required GL Account .
But when the iam creating Excise Invoice in J1IIN and clicking on Subtransaction type-F4, no entries are shown. No values found is the message in green. Message no. DH801
If i use subtransaction type and enter billing document and enter, the following error message comes:
"Excise modvat accounts not defined for DLFC transaction and excise group"
Iam unable to understand why the subtransaction type maintained is not showing in TCODE J1IIN?
    Regards

For the error message DH801, please check note 840911

  • Cement Excise Related Problem

    Hi,
I am Implementing SAP in Cement Industry, I have some Excise related quiery which I am describing below.
Capitive Consumption of Clinker for grinding mill on which 110% of Production Cost Excise duty is Calculated and Excemtion is taken.
Similarly for loose cement to packing dept. (above excise duty is applicable.)

    Hi Devesh,
Which tax procedure u are using ?
If u are using TAXINN, u need to create a tax-code for zero rate taxes and u have to create the PO with basic rate inclusive of excise duty i.e. if basic rate is 100 and ed is 16 u ahve to give the basic rate as 116.
At the time of MIGO, u have to select the MRP indicator and give the break up of bed,ecs and secess.  Then in MIRO u have to change the basic rate to 100 again
Hope this will solve ur problem

  • Shipping Point and Excise Condition

    Hi,
This is my old issue for which I need solution.
When we change shiping point in sales order Excise condition become statistical for one plant.
But now with similar pricing with same sales organisation above setting are not working for other plant mean there is no change in condition when we are changing shipping point for that plant.
So please help me to solve this issue
    Lalit

There is no direct link between Shipping Point and Excise Condition but CIN related settings are mainly dependent on Plant settings.
So check whether any user exit is applied.

  • Diff between Commercial Invoice and Excise Invoice

    Hi all,
What are the differences between commercial invoice and excise invoice?
Which one is more related to SD?
    Regards,
    Ajit

    Hi,
Commercial Invoice contains information more specific to customer (Pricing, Tax, Payment terms), which becomes a part of recievables.
For Commercial Invoice, there is no need for advance declaration of the Number Ranges for the Document.
Excise Invoice contains information related to excise duties which has to be payed to the Excise authorities and also other statutory requirements .
For Excise Invoices, every manufacturing company has to declare the Number ranges (Per Excise Group/Series Group) to the excise authorities beginining of the year.
Nowadays most of the buinesses are directing toward common (Commercial *** Excise Invoice) printout , though in SAP its still a separate transaction for posting.
I hope this clears your doubt.
    Reward points if thie helps.

    Harsh

  • Standard DataSource For Excise Related Data

    Hi,
Please tell me are there available any standard DataSources for Excise Related Data like Excise Invoice Header data (Table j_1iexchdr), Excise Invoice Item details (Table  j_1iexcdtl), Excise Groups (Table  j_1iexgrps), Excise Part II details (Table J_1IPART2) etc.
If those are available in ECC 6.0, then please provide the information or for this I need to develop generic datasource?
    Regards,

    Hi,
There is no Standard DS for Excise.
I created the Generic Dss on those tables with delta enabled in my last project. And they are running successfully.
I created 2 DSs on the same table , one with delta enabled on Created date and  another one with delta enabled on Changed date ( Wherever this field is there in the base table). And used Lower limit as 1 as safty delta so that I was able to do delta loads multiple times in a day.

  • Excise related storagelocation !

    Hi
For excise related transcation do i've to make a storeage location specific to excise related material or can i maintain a common storage location and do my delivery
    Vinz

I dont see, any need to create seperate storage location for excise transactions.
But it would be better,if you  have seperate storage location, but not mandatory.
If QM is implemented, then there will not be any need, as stock will be posted once inspection is done.

These are various classification for utilization purpose
IDH Removal from factory on payment of duty for Home use
IDE Removal on payment of duty for export under no bond
and there are two or three more i dont remember exactly, but you can get that by searching.....

this is different from LoU,  IDE is Classification for Removal on payment of duty for export no bond

We have to make utilization determination based excise grp & series grp....
    SPRO>Logistics u2013 General>Tax on Goods Movements>India>Business Transactions--> Utilization -->Utilization Determination
Detailed about this is already discussed previously also.

  • Billing document and Excise invoice document number should be same

    Dear SD gurus
kindly help me following client requirement
in order to cash (domestic & Exports)
and sto (intra and Inter plant to plant) scenarios the billing document number and excise invoices number should trigger  same number
Example order- delivery- pgi- commercial invoice (VF01) --- billing document no.1234 here it should create automatically excise invoice no 1234
in J1iin disply it show ref document no( billing document no: 1234.    & excise invoice no 1234

    Dear All,
As per the standard it is not possible. But some times client says why two different numbers ranges we require same numbers ranges for both billing doc. & Excise invoice.
Please go through the following link
    http://saptechsolutions.com/pdf/SDDocumentNumberRangeEnhancements.pdf
Also check with the Abaper with explicit enhancement by maintaining the number range values in Custom table where we go when ever there is no option for(if client is not convincing) but which is not reccomandable but left out with no choice when client is demanding.

  • Difference between VAT AND EXCISE DUTIES

    HI ginius
can any body give the difference between vat and excise duties

VAT  is value added tax.  a tax levied by the government at the time of sales earlier it was LST ( local sales tax ) this is livied by the state goverments.
ok...example  .like if colgae is manufacturing toothpaste and yu are buying it ... so at the time of buying ap[art from the price of material you are payin the vat also.
but wher as excise duty is concerend it is levied by the central excise departments
it is lived on colgate company after it manufactured the product even before selling the toothpaste colgate should pay excise to central excise dept on toothpaste becasue it manufactured it in india ( ofcourse it again collects frm the customer by hiking price )
and excise is calulate don advolrem basis whcih is approx 16% on base price.

  • Number Range (series) for Billing Document (F2) and Excise Invoice

    Hi All,
I want to know how the number ranges / number series is defined for billing documents (F2) and excise invoice, for India business scenario.
In India, the excise invoice is given to the customer so that he can the excise duty/ cenvat. This invoice acts as the Tax invoice (having all pricing elements apart from excise duty) against which customer outstanding is considered. That is, the payment due will be tracked against this Tax (excise) invoice.
But in SAP, the accounts posting is done (customer a/c debited) when we creaate and post the billing document (type F2). Hence, the outstanding amount is tracked against the billing document created. This billing doc/invoice will have all the pricing components like price, discount, freight, etc apart from excise duty.
The excise invoice is created separately....with ref to the above billing doc....for posting the excise duty.
If the number ranges for billing document and excise invoice are different then it is difficult to trace the outstanding amount from a particular customer on the basis of excise invoice created in the system.
Can somebody provide inputs/solution on this?
    Thanks indvance.
    Rgds,
    Amit

    Hi Saurabh,
My question is not how to define number range for billing doc and excise invoice? i mean what procedure / tcode to be used for the same?
My question is whether we need to define same number range for Billing doc (F2) as well as Excise Invoice.
For example: number range 1000 to 1999  --- same for F2 and excise invoice....
Lets say billing doc 1000 is created. Further, when we create excise invoice w.r.t. this billing doc....the excise invoice created will also need to be 1000. ....so that we can identify that against this excise invoice, we need to collect the payment from customer.
If the number ranges for billing doc and excise invoice are different, then it is difficult for the user to trace the outstanding payment .....because genarally the excise is treated as Tax invoice by companies in India ...(so that the customer can claim the excise duty....when he purchases the goods from the company).
Whereas the customer account is hit when the billing doc is posted .....hence i feel, we need to keep the same number range for billing doc and exice invoice.
Hope the question/scenario is clear now.
I would appreciate the inputs on the above, from the consultants/experts who have worked on SAP implementation projects in India.
    Rgds,
    Amit

  • Creation of Delivery, Commercial Invoice and Excise Invoice in PS Cycle.

    Hi,
Pls explain how can we create deliveries, Commercial Invoice and Excise Invoices through PS cycle.
    Thanks and Regards
    Sriram Tumuluri

Assuming that the requirement is to differentiate only in print out, it is better to maintain the pricing condition in Euro itself instead of INR.  With the help of ABAPer, you can fetch the value as per the requirement.
Moreover, even if you change the customer master currency or document currency, it will not fetch the exact net value.
    thanks
