GR/IR for value 0.

Hello,
Can anyone please help me with the following process.
I create a PO with two lines,
line 10 qty 5 price for line is 20 USD
line 20 qty 5 price for line is 20 USD, return item is flagged.
I perform GR (101) for line 10 and GI (161) for line 20.
Now here is my question,
What should I do now regarding to the GR/IR account?
The total of the order is 0 but it is not cleared, I order is still open.
Should I perform MIRO,MR11 ??
What is the regular process in such a case?

In a normal case you would do the Invoice receipt for item 10 & credit memo for item 20 using transaction MIRO.

i dont want to create sales order with referance to contract.
i have done below.
1. i created assortment module in wsv2 tcode for value contract
2. i created value conract (type WK1) in va41 tcode
3. i created (messages about outline agreement) "check at item level and copy if unique" sales doc type OR in tcode vov8
so, when i created a sales order (OR) without referance to value contract, i want the sales order to find the related contract at item level and copy
but sales order cant find the material in the assortment module that i created in contract type wk1.
where am i doing wrong?

Hi,
Firstly, I assume you have properly setup all the copy control of of the document types you want to use and also properly defined the document types and item categories you want to use.
Maybe you want to check/try the following: -
1. Check the validity of the assortment module you have created.
2. Try to create the assortment module again using tcode WSO1.
3. In your Order Type "WK1" and under the "Contract", maybe include the subsequent Order = OR
4. Check that your material has the product hierarchy properly setup?
5. Finally, try to use indicator "B: check at item level" instead of "D: check at item level and copy if unique". You would not get a dialog box in OR if you use indicator D as it will automatically copy to the OR if there is exactly one reference document created.

Diagnosis
Characteristic value GB does not exist in the master data table of characteristic 0CURRENCY. Therefore, this value could not be transformed into the internal SID.
Procedure
Check whether the value is correct or not. If it is correct, you need to generate the associated master data. Note: For characteristics 0FISCVARNT, 0FISCPER and 0FISCYEAR, there must be a corresponding fiscal year variant (see table T009). In addition, there must be units in table The value for 0FISCPER must be valid according to the fiscal year variants. This means that only the periods 0 to (no. of normal periods + special periods) are allowed. If the fiscal year variant is year-dependent, then only the periods defined for the corresponding year are valid. You can make these settings in Customizing in theactivity Maintain Fiscal Year Variant. T006 and currencies in table TCURC. Also note that the units must be of
Units that refer to 0UNIT must be available in table T006, and currencies that refer to 0CURRENCY in table TCURC. Note that the units must be available in internal format. Owing to the presence of a conversion exit in field MSEHI of table T006, you are only able to see the internal format if you deactivate this exit. ( Settings> User Parameters> Tab DataBrowser > Consider Conversion exit must not be set). Also take a look at note no. 619987.

I followed the steps:
Goto to RSA1-> Source systems--> Transfer Globle settings and Select Currencie, Ubits and Fiscal year, Factor...etc and select Update
Just would like to check with you, currently we are extracting data from SRM & SAP R/3 system.
I got the error while doing the data loading for SRM system. I did the above steps for both systems.
Is that anything else, i need to do....
Currently i am going to do the master data load, then i will do the transaction data & check with the currency error.
could you please elaborate the steps
1)How to check 0currency is getting updated in our system.
2) how to verify custom z program used
3) How to maintain the currency manually in BW.

Hi All,
iam loading to ODS from flat file and iam getting the error"No SID found for value '000 ' of characteristic 0UNIT ". to be more clear the load is taking place and the activation of ods is not taking place .
we added a new key figure to ods and when we add the data of the new field to the flat file we are getting this error . but when we load with the files which does not contain data to the new key figure its successfull .
can some one guide me how to resolve it.

the data which i entered for the new key figure is 000 . is it because of it ? so , if i enter some value instead of 000 i may not get this error ....... am i rite? so checking the values means is it for the new key figure or there is an info object 0unit also in my case ?

Request your help for the following issue observed.
Please find below the details of the issue observed:
Scenario: A flat file upload in and ODS with field Alternate Unit of Measure (mapped to 0UNIT)
Issue: While activating the data in the ODS (Transformation, RSDS transaction datasource), it gives an error stating 'No SID found for value 'FOZ' of characteristic 0UNIT'.
Measures tried: Transferring Global Settings, Checking in the table 'T006', Checking the format of the flat file.
May I please request your help for the above issue at the earliest.

Same issue here.
I've checked the entries in 0UNIT SID table: The unit "xxx" is not present.
But this unit is present in T006 table, with no specific option.
The update mode for Master Data on SPRO is : "Create master data if Not avalaible (Auto_sid)"
The update mode in infopackage is "Always update data, even if no master data exist for the data"
I've used the "Rebuild tables" mode for Units of measurement for my source system.
The tried the simulate update for my datapackage.
==> No errors
==>deletion of package on the data target
==>manuel update of data from the package
==>change to green
==>check the 0UNIT SID table : The unit "xxx" is now present !

I am getting this above error message 'No SID found for value '0CURR' of characteristic 0CURRENCY' when i am trying to load data in my cube from an ODS.
For the Keyfigure that is using the currency i had to write the following routine in the Update Rule fo rthe Keyfigure:
DATA: l_MZPLP1 LIKE /BIC/PMMAT_PLNT-/BIC/MZPLP1,
l_MZPLP2 LIKE /BIC/PMMAT_PLNT-/BIC/MZPLP2.
SELECT SINGLE /BIC/MZPLP1
INTO l_MZPLP1
FROM /BIC/PMMAT_PLNT
WHERE
/BIC/Mplant = COMM_STRUCTURE-/bic/Mplant
AND
/bic/mmat_plnt = COMM_STRUCTURE-/BIC/MMATERIAL.
IF sy-subrc = 0.
RESULT = l_MZPLP1.
ENDIF.
result value of the unit
UNIT = '0CURRENCY' .
Also i checked the 'UNIT CALCULATION IN THE ROUTINE' box.
And under UNIT it does show 'Target Unit' - 'Currency Key'.
Please advise what should i do to resolve this.

the error message normally indicates the value is not exist in table currency/unit
Note 619987 - No SID for the 0UNIT or 0CURRENCY characteristic
you can try transfer unit and currency from r/3, rsa1-> source system->right click 'transfer global setting', mark 'currency' and 'unit of measurement' (fiscal year and factory calendar also) and option 'update tables' and execute.
you need to schedule this update, better daily before the transaction data load, to do this, from same screen go to menu program and schedule in background.

Solution
If you do not find the value in the T006 or TCURC table, you must insert it. Note that the initial value is always allowed.
If you nevertheless receive this error message for the initial value, this means that there is an inconsistency in the SID table for the 0UNIT or 0CURRENCY characteristic. You can eliminate this inconsistency by calling the RSDMD_INITIAL_LINE_INSERT function module with I_CHABASNM = 0UNIT or 0CURRENCY.
If units are loaded in the external format, you must either convert these into the internal format in the transfer or update rules or change the extractor/file.The CONVERSION_EXIT_CUNIT_INPUT function module converts the external value of a unit into the internal value.

If change in PO value, need other rel stategy made for value change only

I have customized PO Relase strategy based on value. working correctly.
In that, if there is a change in PO value after the PO release, then Release strategy is being redetermined according to new value. But user wants that if there is a change in PO value, it should follow different rel startegy for which change value is >0 USD(not regular release startegy defined for each value range).
For this to happen, for value change, what kind of characteristic(table field) I can use as criteria so that new release startegy can be determined for any change value after final relaese?
Is ther any possible way to make this happen? Pl. suggest me different ways.

In order for another release strategy to getting determined, the PO should have another set of value
to meet the characteristic for the new release strategy or else it will use back the same release strategy
with approval reset and management need to reapprove again the same release strategy.
Based on your description, there is no need for another release strategy to get determined if the PO
still contain the same set value that meet the previous release strategy . Let say you increase the
total value of the PO, incase the release strategy still meet the current approve release, it should reset
it again but not another release strategy that not meet with value in the PO.
If you create another new release strategy that the criteria overlay the characteristic of this old release strategy,
for new PO, no release strategy will be getting determine.

Hot to show documents for values of infoobjects (master data)?

helly everybody,
i try again to explain what i wanna do. maybe anybody can help me? thx anyway for all other replies before!
by SEM-BPS planning functions our users can create documents for values saved in cube and infoobjects masta data. in another function they want to view all documents for an given value. I know to get the documents via functions but i dont know to show this data in web. Can anybody tell me an way?
How can i get back the result of my programmed functions back to the web interface and create a table with the data? or how can i download the data to files? I found the gui_download_services but it isnt working by web because of not knowing handler of the gui environment.

Did you try the WebApplication 'Document Browser' and the WebItem 'List of Documents'. For the list of documents you could create a DataProvider (Query), which contains same or similar filter as the BPS planning function and the list would then show all documents for this selection.

Problem when querying OLAP for Value based hierarchy

Hi I have problem when querying OLAP for value based hierarchy , for level based dimension it work fine
the strange part is if I only put one value, it will work perfectly
for example if I put only 1 value for that value base hierarchy like CF_HIER::426362, then it will get the correct value for that id 426362
but if I put multiple value to the list
CF_HIER::426362
CF_HIER::424470
CF_HIER::429073
CF_HIER::424230
then only some value will come out correctly, some of them will be 0, I wonder why because if I query using each value, then it show correct value
for multiple value usually only the top in hirarchy give correct value, but the leaf will give 0, but if I query only the leaf, the leaf will give correct value
this problem only happen for my value based hierarchy, for the level based hierarchy it work fine both for each value or multiple value in the list

Loading 0FI_GL_4 data from R3, get some red erros, the 1st error is:
No SID found for value 'BTL ' of characteristic 0BASE_UOM
Check the above red error details:

I get a BRAIN 70 error - "No SID found for value 'BOX ' of characteristic 0UNIT "
Diagnosis
Characteristic value BOX does not exist in the master data table of characteristic 0UNIT. Therefore, this value could not be transformed int othe internal SID.
So, I made reference to SAP Note 619987.
If you do not find the value in the T006 or TCURC table, you must insert it. Note that the initial value is always allowed.

Hi,
As Aneesh said, first Check the table T006 for the record for 'BOX' unit. If it is not there you have to do Replcation of Units from source system.
It does not affect the data existing in datatargets. It simply update the table T006.
Then after also check the table T006 for this record.

Regarding Exception handling for Value mapping

We have a requirement for resending the message (using SXMB_MONI)for Value mapping and other message mapping related errors . Is there any others way we could achieve this , Any help on this is appreciated ?

Hi Jishi,
I don't think that SXMB_MONI is the solution.
If you have a mapping error this can belong to two things:
a) either your mapping is wrong
b) or your message is wrong.
In case a) you have to correct your mapping
In b) The sending system must look what happend.
In my opinion in both cases (a & b) the process must be restartet from the source system. That's the way we do it.
Additionally we send a information message in the exception branch to the sending system
