GR55 Report Customization

Can the GR 55 report painter reports be designed so that the subtotals and totals appear above the accounts that are being subtotaled or totaled, or do they always have to appear below?

  • Selection criteria in GR55 Reports

    Hello,
    Where do I customize the selection criteria in the GR55 reports? It's bringing a Controlling Area default that is 0001 and I want to change it to bring the controlling area from the company code defaut.
    I changed it in SU3 and worked for myself, but I wonder where can I change for all the users.

  • How to run GR55 reports in background for cost center hierarchies

    1.  I have been asked by our users to create batch jobs to run in the background for some GR55 reports, that can then be sent directly to cost center managers via email.
    I have figured out the process to do this as long as the cost center manager only needs to see a single cost center at a time.  However, if they are in charge of multiple cost centers, we also want to send them a summarized report using the hierarchy we have set up.  I can't seem to make this work, as the job only seem to recognize the last cost center in the group and the report is for that cost center.
    Example.  cost centers 100, 200 and 300 belong to hierarchy abc.  If I run the job just for cost center 100 it is fine.  But if I have a variant to run hierarchy abc, or even if I use the range 100 to 300, all I get is a report for cost center 300.
    We cannot use BW because we only have revenue in BW.  I am being asked to make this work from standard R/3 within the GR55 realm of reporting.
    2.  In addition, the report selection criteria includes two separate plan/forecast versions.  They need to update these each month prior to running the reports and sending them out.  I looked at the variables associated with the versions and tried to set them up with default values that I hoped would update automatically so that they don't have to manually change 50 or so variants each month.  But I don't see any dynamic variables that I can use to have the system make that change without going into each variant individually.
    3.  There is another piece to this equation as well.  There is another report they want sent out in batch, but it is several pages wide in SAP and several pages long.  So when you run it in batch and either spool it or get it sent as an email, it is very ugly in the formatting due to all the page splits horizontally and vertically.  If anyone knows how to get the report to stay together like it would if you had excel integration turned on, it would be very helpful.  I have tried running it with that integration turned on, but the jobs are set up with user batch_mgr and not my id, so it isn't working well.  The batch_mgr id is just a system id, not a dialog id.  We also don't want the jobs set up with a regular user id because if people leave, then the jobs all need to be changed.

    I may have options for issues 1 and 2. In case of 3, what I can tell you is I understand the concern, but this is what  typically happens in some standard CO reports that are not ALV compatible, I don't think there is not much  there to do unless you add some custom code for the output.
    In regards to point 1, yes,  I have noticed that this happens in some standard and custom reporting, not sure what is going on. I came up with a work around that  made the trick for my client in a similar scenario; which is editing the cost center groups. For instance, instead  of having the group set as a range from 100 to 300,  the groups are have  listed the cost centers, 100, 200 and 300. Obviously, the disadvantage of  this option is  that it would require a bit of more cost center group maintenance.
    In regards to point 2,  I understand from your note  that your users already have set up selection variants for the report. One option for you is to get the help from a developer to create a custom period variable and tiny program that runs in batch every month that would update that variable accordingly. Once that's done, you may have to update at least once, the selection variant  attributes to change the period to a selection variable, so everytime from that point of time forward that the variable gets updated,  it will be ready with the right value for every selection variant that uses it.

  • Difficulty in adding new parameter in selection screen of GR55 report

    Hi Gurus,
    I have a requirement to add an extra field in Cost center:Act/Plan/Comm CC Cur report.This is otherwise a Z report in report painter with 0% code (T-code : GR55-> Report group->Report).But,when we go to technical information of this report,it has four standard sap programs,which contains code for this selection screen.It does not even have a modification scope.
    Selection screen of this report contains following parameters:
    Selection values:
    Controlling Ar
    Fiscal Year
    From Period
    To Period
    Plan Version
    Selection Groups:
    Cost Center Group
    Or value(s)
    Cost Element Group
    Or value(s)
    My requirement is to add one more parameter : Purchase oeder in new block:
    Is there any way to achieve it.
    Note: Copying the standard progs into custom prog is not working,i already tried that.
    Please let me know your suggestions,if any one of you came across such requirement before.it is very impoertant for me.

  • GR55 reports display in different currency

    Hi SPL gurus,
    Hope you can help me with this GR55 question.
    My customer needs to apply different (constant) exchange rate type while running the GR55 reports for all the company codes to ensure constant reporting across without taking account the flux in the exchange rates. I have therefore setup a constant exchange rate types, ratios and exchange rates in customizing.
    When I then run GR55 some reports show the figures in the new rate and some seem to ignore the rate (currencies/company codes are the same). My question is - does anybody know if there is a second setting for the currency rate type on the Report Painter/Writer itself? If so can maybe somebody point me to it?
    Any other suggestions why some reports do work and some don't?

    Thanks for the answer. It is not user specific problem.
    I think I already found an answer myself - some of my reports are in corporate currency and some in local.
    Anything in Global currency does not for some reason convert, only the reports on local currency do apply the different exchange rates correctly.
    I think I will need to redesign all the Global currency reports. Do you agree?

  • Updated SET but does not update in GR55 report

    I add few accounts under a new node in Account group hierarchy using transaction KDH2. However when I run GR55 report that uses the SET(hierarchy), the node and accounts does not show.
    Kindly advise i am missing a step in the process.

    Check whether any amounts have been posted to the mentioned GL codes. If no postings have been made then ensure that the layout has a settings to display zero rows.
    Also try generating the report.

  • GR55 report : incomplete information reg internal commitments

    Hi Experts
    The purchase requisitions generated for stock item (item cat L and AAC: Q) are not reflected as internal commitments in the report GR55 (Report group Z6P2). However i am able to see the purchase requisitions created for network (item cat N)
    I believe that whether stock or nonstock, the PR should be recorded as internal commitment. Please suggest.

    Missing is due to not having cost element of category 90 for the stock account relevant cost element.

  • Defaulting fiscal year in GR55 reports

    Hi Experts,
    I had a requirement in defaulting the fiscal year to 2011 in our client's GR55 trial balance. What I did was, that I got the relevant variable (YEAR) and in GS12 changed the default value as 2011. Then when the report was run the fiscal year appeared as 2011.  However,   when I ran it for the second time I received the following error (when executing)
    "REPLACE_VARIABLES; SUBRC= 0; &PERLAST
    Message no. GR016"
    Could you please let me know if you have ever encountered this problem and how I could resolve this

  • PCA Plan Versions Not showing in GR55 Report

    Hi Gurus,
    My user has uploaded the PCA plan and could see the same in GP12NA for 2011 for plan version Z2. But when she is running the report (P&L )from GR55, the report is not pulling up the plan values.  (The report has Z2 as one of its parameters.)
    Could you please suggest the places i would need to look to fix this?
    (I've checked that the plab vesion is activated for 2011)

    GP12NA is new GL.. So, have you created the report using 0FL LIbrary or a Z library based on FAGLFLEXT?

  • Authorization-check in company code for GR55 reports

    Hi to all!
    Created User: ZTESTUSER
    The scenario is this.
    We created a report in GR55(Report Painter) and we want users (ex. ZTESTUSER) to access only company codes 7000 to 7999. How will I be able to do that?
    I am thinking of creating a role or profile then assign it to the user, but I was not be able to locate an authorization object for GR55 reports.
    The authorization object in GR51 is not doing what we want. It only control the create/change/display and execution transactions.
    I tried using validation in GGB0 but I can't find a parameters where the GR55 reports will be checked so the users will be limited by company code.
    Can somebody help me?

  • Calling javascript function from report customization form

    I have been unable to call any user-defined javascript function from Portal Report Customization forms.
    Even a simple Message Box function doesn't work. I've been placing my code in the ..after header PL/SQL section for the report customization form.

    How do you display the report customization before the report is rendered?

    If the Report is used as a portlet, I think it's not possible. Only the personalize link will display the customization options
    If the report is display in a full page, try: <SCHEMA>.<REPORT>.show_parms

  • Running GR55 reports for special periods

    When running GR55 reports, the selection field for "Period" only lists periods 1 to 12. We are using the standard K4 FI year variant.
    Can someone tell me how to get the 4 special periods displayed for selection?

    The drop down in the "To" field only lists periods 001 to 012, but it lets you manually enter other periods such as 14 or 16.
    So you are not limited by the periods displayed in the drop down box.

    GR55 is the report group that contains the respective reports. You need to look in GRR2 or GRR3 to look at the respective reports to looka their layouts which is independent of the report group
