Graphic Images Behind Tables

You can add graphic images behind your spreadsheets. Place the image and send to back. Select your table(s) so the corner / center drag icons show. With the Inspector change the table fill color to "None".

If you control-click in one of the images and copy the code to TextEdit, you might get the code being used. The image is hosted at photobucket.com and I paste the code from the HTML link provided.

  • Images Behind flash banner

    I was wondering if there is any way to place an image behind a flash banner or picture so incase someone dosnt have flash they can still see a non animated verson of what would be there.

    Use SWFObject Replacement.
    Add some alternate HTML content for non-Flash supporting devices.

    As Walt says - you need to use CSS to declare the background
    for the
    cell..maybe this will help:

  • When opening a word doc in pages i am loosing the graphic images from powerpoint that were embedded in the word doc

    When opening a word doc in pages i am loosing the graphic images from powerpoint that were embedded in the word doc

    Are the images placed in a table? Many Word user have the habit of doing that. Tables are not handles the same way in Word and Pages so they get "hidden" in Pages. One way to find this out is to change the size of the paper of the document. You do that in the Page setup in the file menu. Create a document that is much longer that the default one and see if you images will pp up.

  • Inserting shapes and images within tables

    Hi all
    Is it me or it's impossible to insert a shape into a table by trying to drag it in there? Same with images. I'd really love to have this functionality. It seems that everything works fine when it's outside a table, but when I attempt to drag an image from Safari - it won't work. What gives? Is there a workaround?
    Thanks in advance.

    About images in tables!
    At this point tables in Pages don't accept floating images in individual cells. You can drag an image onto a blank area of the screen and choose Inline from the menu bar. Then you can drag it into a cell on the table.
    I needed to create business cards and this is totally unacceptable using inline graphics. So, I opened up Numbers and created an Avery template by resizing the columns and rows to fit. Then you can drag floating images such as pictures, logos, etc into an individual cell.
    Hope this workaround helps!

  • Images Behind Text in RTF Template

    While creating a few rtf templates, I noticed that if an image is to be shown behind text then the image will not render to back to .rtf by bi pub.
    If I put the image inline with text, it renders just fine.
    Am I missing a step that would allow me to render the image behind text or is it just working as intended?

  • How to insert image into table and to in Oracle 9i intermedia?

    Mr Lawrence,
    I want to ask something:
    I use Oracle 9i intermedia
    If i use this script:
    CREATE TABLE images (
    file_name VARCHAR2(100) NOT NULL,
    image ORDSYS.OrdImage
    then
    CREATE OR REPLACE DIRECTORY imgdir AS 'd:/data';
    then
    INSERT INTO images (file_name, image)
    VALUES ('tree', ORDSYS.ORDImage.init('file','imgdir','tree.jpg' ));
    I put tree.jpg in directory d:/data in my hard drive.
    Is my tree.jpg file had already get in to my images table?
    I'm little confuse, because when i check my table with this script:
    select file_name, i.image.getWidth() from images i;
    it's show that my i.image.getWidth() for file_name tree is empty.. that mean my tree.jpg doesn't get in to my table.. am i correct?
    N also i want to ask how to display to screen all of my image from images table?
    Is it posible Oracle 9i intermedia to support display image from table?
    How?
    thanks Mr Lawrence

    -- First step would be to create a directory in oracle and map it to the folder where your image resides.
    create directory image_dir as *'c:\image_dir';*
    Then you would have to use a procedure to insert the image in your table. SO first create a table to hold the image. Note that you have to use a BLOB to insert the image.
    CREATE TABLE test_image
    ID NUMBER,
    image_filename VARCHAR2(50),
    image BLOB
    Now let's write the procedure to insert the image in the table above.
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE insert_image_file (p_id NUMBER, p_image_name IN VARCHAR2)
    IS
    src_file BFILE;
    dst_file BLOB;
    lgh_file BINARY_INTEGER;
    BEGIN
    src_file := BFILENAME ('image_DIR', p_image_name);
    -- insert a NULL record to lock
    INSERT INTO temp_image
    (ID, image_name, image
    VALUES (p_id, p_image_name, EMPTY_BLOB ()
    RETURNING image
    INTO dst_file;
    -- lock record
    SELECT image
    INTO dst_file
    FROM temp_image
    WHERE ID = p_id AND image_name = p_image_name
    FOR UPDATE;
    -- open the file
    DBMS_LOB.fileopen (src_file, DBMS_LOB.file_readonly);
    -- determine length
    lgh_file := DBMS_LOB.getlength (src_file);
    -- read the file
    DBMS_LOB.loadfromfile (dst_file, src_file, lgh_file);
    -- update the blob field
    UPDATE temp_image
    SET image = dst_file
    WHERE ID = p_id AND image_name = p_image_name;
    -- close file
    DBMS_LOB.fileclose (src_file);
    END insert_image_file;
    Now execute the procedure to insert the image.
    EXECUTE insert_image_file(1,'test_image.jpg');
    Thanks,
    Aparna

  • I created a signature ID and customized the signature; however, when I go to sign it only shows the name layout or graphic image? How do I go back to using the certificate?

  • I cannot insert a graphic image in a new composition: win 7, tb 24

    At times when composing a new e-mail I cannot insert a graphic image in the message. I have tried both the Insert button and the Insert icon. This does not happen all the time; but, when it does happen I can't seem to make it work. My system is a Win 7 with Thunderbird 24.3.0.5. I have tried inserting different graphic images and have tried all combinations in the Image Properties pop-up window.
    I have closed and reopened Thunderbird. I have restarted my system. I have closed all windows except Thunderbird. Nothing helps. Help! Thank you, Bill Gray

    Bill Gray here again. I find that if I open another Write window, then copy/paste my entire e-mail from the initial window -- I can insert graphics into the new window.
    What happens in Thunderbird to make this happen? This has happened a number of times. But, at least now I know that I can open a new Write window and get around the problem. Yet, I am still stuck with the nagging question: Why does this happen?
    Thank you and God bless, Bill Gray

  • Pages 5.0 removing images from tables.

    After upgrading to Pages 5.0 I now receive a message when opening any file with a table that has images in the cells.  Basically Pages is removing all images from table cells.  Anyone having this problem and is there an easy fix?

    DrBrian, this is what I did to resolve this issue.  I found out that we may still have Pages 09 installed on our systems! Go into Finder - Applications.  If you have a folder titled iWork 09 click it and you may find Pages 09 there.  Double click to open Pages version 09 where you will be able to open all of your files just as they should be.
    I will not be using the new Pages upgrade.  I have too much time invested in creating documents and templates for my business and I am not willing to re-learn a new package which has much less functionality.  Hope this helps you.

  • How to import many large graphic images to fit into column width?

    I have a 2-column layout and about 150 large graphic images which must be imported so that they fit exactly into the column width. These are bitmaps which have all the same dimensions. All of them will need a border (stroke). And they should be inline graphics because they belong to exact positions in the text flow.
    What would be the sensible approach to that (apart from scripting which I have not done yet)? I tried to define an object style which has the attribute "Fit content to frame", but this does not scale the image to the column size. How can I avoid to format 150 those images manually?

    It may be easier to change the ppi in photoshop so the image can be placed at the exact size.
    so if the image is 10 inches and the file is 300 ppi
    with resample image unchecked change the width to whatever you want it say 2 inches no the ppi will automatically change to 1500 ppi. Save. If you are creating a PDF make sure these images are not downsampled if you need the resolution.
    another way if all images are the same size would be to size one and place it where all the images go and relink to the other pics, when you relink it should retain the properties of the previous pic.

  • Insert image into table

    Please let me know how to insert images to table using SQLDeveloper?

    Some history...
    SQL Developer 1.2.1 actually does support loading BLOBs and it has an internal viewer that can display some, but not all, common extensions (e.g., jpeg images will display, but not flv - flash). The 1.2.1 UI is different than the 3.0/3.1 UI Jim describes in his blog post: double clicking on a BLOB cell in the Table Data tab causes it to display a "..." at the right-side of the cell. Clicking that takes you to the Edit Value dialog where Load/Save/View capability resides.
    External editor support was in place at least by 2.1, but large BLOBs seem rather slow to load. Improved performance and the current UI appeared at least by 3.0, including the Pencil icon and the hyperlinks.

    ...snipped...Not very nice code... why create an empty image row, then lock it (it is already locked by the uncommitted insert statement), and then update it again? Not very efficient or sensible.
    image is on local machine.When a row is created on the server from user input on some PC, who supplied that input? Who read the user's keyboard input on that PC to obtain the values for the columns for the row to create?
    Did PL/SQL read the keyboard of that remote PC? Of course not. The client program on that PC read the keyboard input. It then made a client call to the Oracle server. It supplied the data entered via the keyboard by the user to the Oracle server (using a PL/SQL call or using a SQL statement call to Oracle).
    Now why would a local image data on that PC be treated any differently than the keyboard data on that PC? How can you expect PL/SQL code running on the Oracle server, to read that image data from the remote PC when the same PL/SQL code is incapable of reading keyboard input from that very same PC?
    You need to review your understanding of client-server and how it pertains to using Oracle within client-server architecture.
