Graphical Modeler, Attribute list filter

Hello experts,
I am working on CRM 6.0.
In the Web UI, when trying to perform a segmentation I need to create some filters on attribute lists.
To do so, I assign value(s) to my filter by using the "match code" or "value help" (do not know what is the proper name).
However, the message "No predefined filter values are available" is displayed sometimes. The system can also display a list of values which are limited to 500 max, though.
My question : Is it possible to display all the possible values for the filter or at least increase the limitation?
My second question why the message "No predefined filter values are available" is shown when the system should propose the available values for the filter?
I would welcome any hints, thank you in advance.

In response to your second question: While assigning data sources to attribute list(when creating attributes/attribute list), you will see technical name beside description in the pop-up, that technical name corresponds to a field in a table or a data element. if the field in the table or the data element has value help, then you will get value help while creating filters. If the value help is not available at the field level/data element level, you will not get any value help for that attribute.
For the first question most of the standard sap value help provides 500 entris to the max. i will check n let you know if it can be increased in this scenario.

I have created an Attribute list in the T-code CRMD_MKTDS and a filter criteria for this attribute list.
Now, I would like to use this filter criteria to create a Target Group.
So, is there any Function Module, standard Report program or methods of any standard class to create a target group using this filter criteria ?
How can I determine the BPs related to the filter criteria and assign them to a Target Group?

You can use class 'CL_CRM_MKTTG_GENIL_TG' or Function module ''CRM_MKTTG_TG_READ'
to create Target group's from Profiles.

CRM2007: Segmentation: Attribute list - mass filter creation

Hi all,
For a client I need to set up the marketing segmentation in CRM2007. They want to have "postal code" as a segmentation option, but they don't have a regional structure maintained.
Manually creating all filters isn't an option because all postal codes of UK is to much.. Anybody an idea if you can mass create filters. Or other options to segment on postal code?

Hi Francis,
Please do the following steps for your current requirement:
- Go to transaction CRMD_MKTDS (Maintain data sources and attribute list)
- Click Push button Create Selection Attribute list
- Give Description, Category, Usage ID and Segmentation Object as Business Partner and press enter
- Now click push button Assign Data Sources
- Double Click BP Address
- Select by tick mark City Postal Code and Country Key
- Now select City Postal Code and select create filter button (4th from left in toolbar)
- In screen Create Selection Attribute List, give description, short description and in criterion Select Interval from drop down list and give the From and To range of postal codes
- Repeat the process if you require further range of postal codes.
- Now select Country Key and select create filter button (4th from left in toolbar)
- Give description, short description and in creterion select Equal To UK
- Save the Attribute list.
- Now when you select the attribute list in the segment builder (crmd_mktseg), you can provide the required range, that you have defined in the previous step, by drag and drop in the staging area
- Repeat the process for country key UK by Keep functionality.
By doing the above process, you can create a segment of all BP's belonging to UK within a specified postal code range.

Filter in Attribute List

Hi all,
I have a requirement regarding Filters in Attribute Lists.
We want to provide an Attribute List in english. But Data Sources and marketing attributes are only displayed in German. Even if the Filter is a Standard SAP-Field like City or Country. The Attributes are translated. I would have the option to translate it manually by the description but it is to much and has to be done for every new Attribute List.
Does anybody know how to get the translation?

Hi
Even after making the attributes as nav attribute in Master data they ought to be marked as navigation attribute on the infoprovider on which you are creating the report.
If the report is based on the cube that uses company code then you need to check it as navigational att in the cube and incase you have a multiprovider at the top of the cube then you again need to check this attribute as navigational in the multiprovider too.
Thus by making comp_code_zregion as nav att in the master data you will not see it in the report you need to make it as nav in the report as well as multiprovider incase the report is based on multiprovider

How manage unsubscribers from Target Groups created in Graphical Modeler

We have a communications database which I've created in Graphical Modeler. I have used a SMB filter and then subtract a 'Do not Contact' filter.
How can I manage those contacts who do not want to receive these email campaigns? In general: how can we manage unsubscribes when creating Target Groups in GM?

hey main thing is that when we design all the things our out put is reflected in both interface & most important thing is that 90% of our customization done in gui.only web_ui related customization done in web_ui.

As far as I know,data sources and Attribute lists need to be maintained in GUI but these can further be used for Segmentation in Web UI using the Graphical Modeler.

Details Area in Graphical Modeler blank

Hello,
Does anybody know what the problem is if the details area in the graphical modeler is blank? I get the target group in the staging area on the right side of the screen. Below there are two boxes, right is the profile set which shows used criteria and the left one is empty.
In training material I can see that it is possible to have a graphic there e.g. a pie chart.

I have found a way now how to get the pie in detailed area but else as described in the thread you are referring to.

What I did is: right click on the attribute in the attribute list and then choose 'Display Distribution'. Directly after clicking this the detailed area is filled with a pie chart for the chosen attribute.
Please let me know if you can connect somehow the pie chart with the target group as you described earlier. This would be much more usefull for the user.

Segment builder and Graphical Modeler

Hello I have not been able to find any assistance with following issue.
I am trying to create a target group from the Web UI. I have followed the basic steps logging into Marketing Professional
Marketing -> Segement - Name and Save Profile Set then click Graphical Modeler.
I then choose from the Arrtribute list and create my filter - I try to drop and drag my filter in the work area so I will be able to right click to create target group the problem is nothing appears in the work are - I don't get the little people.
After this didn't work I save my information within the Graphical Modeler and went back to Profile set. I then tried to pull the filter I created and saved in the Graphical Modeler through the Profile Assignment block. But when I searched for the filter it is not listed.
Does any one know how to resolve this issue and any assistance will be helpful?

The solution for the problem is as follows,
When you upgrade to JRE 1.6 version 19 patch 4, in the graphical modeler, the filter drag and drop doesnot work. In this case,    add the following line in you JAVA POLICY file.
    permission java.awt.AWTPermission "accessClipboard","read,write";
    you can find the POLICY file in the path:
       C:\Program Files\Java\<JAVA VERSION>\lib\security

Can't create target group in graphical modeler

Hi,
I have a problem with the target group creation.
To create the target group I have done the following steps:
1. Go to Marketing -> segment;
2. Create Profile Set; save.
3. Go to Graphical Modeler;
4. Drag&Drop the attributes to the work area;
5. Select Count;
6. Select Build target group -> In Dialog;
7. Save target group;
8. Select u201CBacku201D to go to the Profile Set;
The system doesnu2019t do any error, but when I go to the profile set, in the block Target Groups doesnu2019t appear the target group that I have created.
If i go to the CRMD_MKTTG_TG_T CRM table, my target group is not create.
Can anyone help me, please.

Hi,
As Graphical modeler run on java make sure that you have implemented the most current Java 2 Runtime Environment           (SE v1.4.2_09 or higher) on your PC; after this you'll be able to create target group from graphical modeler.
Before creating target group you have to create and assign attributes to BP also have to create data source for attribute list further you can use this attribute to create target group
Steps:
Path: WebUI->Marketing->Create-Segment
1) Create Profile set
2) Save Profile set
3) Click on graphical modeler to create target group using BP attributes.

7.0 Segmentation: Datasource, Attribute List using InfoSets.

Hello All,
Issue: Target group based on attribute List built based on an InfoSet datasource not being populated in Classical Segmentation.
Steps:
1. Created InfoSet using table joins- BUT000, BUT020, ADRC, CRMM_BUT_FRG0041, CRMM_BUT_FRG0100.
2. Created Datasource based on InfoSet
    - RFC Destination: CRM
    - Infoset selected
    Details
    - Business Partner (BUT000-PARTNER_GUID)
    - BP Category (BUT000-PARTNER_GUID)
    (All other fields left blank)
3. Created Attribute List based on Datasource
4. Logged in CRM Web UI using Marketing Professional role
5. Created Profile Set -> Profile -> Create filter on Attribute List. Search returns zero results.
Created Query based on Infoset returns results as expected.
Any suggestions would be great? All above tables are standard with standard fileds. I do not think this will need any function module for conversion to be specified in creation of Datasource unless I am missing something.

I get a feel that since even the basic attribute lists are not working and you are not able to create target group, it looks like you are not creating the attribute lists in the right way.
To understand the issue which you are getting, i also tried creating infoset based on the table CRM_MKTTG_BP_CENTRAL.
Then i created data source based on this infoset.
Then i tried creating an attribute list based on the above infoset. And here i get the below error which shows that you are not choosing the right Field while creating the Data source. Did you also got the same error ??

Diagnosis
The business partner field BUT000-TYPE of InfoSet CRM_MKTTG_BP_CENTRAL does not return the business partner GUID. The Segment Builder therefore cannot generate a target group from this data source.
Procedure
In the business partner field for data source CRM_MKTTG_BP_CENTRAL, enter a field which returns the business partner GUID. Alternatively, specify a function module capable of converting the content of the field specified into a GUID.
After seeing the above error, you might have understood by now that you need a select such type of field which returns the business partner GUID.
Try using the field "BUT000-PARTNER_GUID" in the Filed "Business partner" in the Details assigment block while creating the Data Source. This time the Data source gets created properly without any error.
Now try to create target group based on some filter criteria set in this Attribute list. Make sure you have the relevant data. For simplicity try to create filter on the attribute "country".

Problem when mapping model attribute to dropdownbyindex

I am mapping model attribute ( this is mapped to Model field of RFC ) to DropDownbyIndex.
Once i call BAPI the executed list of values populates into dropdown but it doesn't show first value, instead it puts one extra space in dropdown ( 1 blank by default + 1), when we try to select this blank value it gives error.

It might be write the all code in BAPI side only.
After writing the bapi code u can retrive thru only DropdownbyIndex.
What ever u created means Cusomecontroller or component controller in init() method u created BAPI instance and send input to the BAPI.
When you setting the paramaeters in init() megtod
U can do like this.
bapi input = nwe bapi();
input.setparametername("firstparameter displaying onthedropdownbox");
for example
input.setDoc_type("orders");
add like this.

Add_item : Attributes list collection sort order

I created multiple custom attributes and added them to my custom item type. I need to apply these attributes while adding an item programmatically.
1) How do i define the order of the Attributes list via the Portal builder so as to match the corresponding values read from a list/table,etc. ?
2) The ordering arrow buttons in the attribute list of my custom item type does not match the result set from my query. I tried all options of "order by" clause. Here is the query - (componenttype is the name of my custom item type)

Document Sets are great tools for grouping multiple documents together. However, if every set has exactly one document, it would be better to just upload the file and not place it within a Document Set:

If you have requirements to use Document Sets, keep in mind that this adds a layer of complexity beyond a simple Document Library. Behind the scenes, each Document Set is treated as a separate folder, and although can you query items within it, there might
be extra steps for getting the sort order to ignore the folder structure. Can you try setting the Scope to be "Recursive" and also specify that you are looking only for files and not folders:
