Graphs for items that Performance Manager doesn't do

OnCommand Performance Manager has a fairly limited scope in terms of what performance it actually manages. Apparently it does capture the statistics but just doesn't show them. Despite the interface being pretty awkward to use in general, it would be nice if the range of graphs was expanded similar to what is available for 7mode. That aside, the recommendation is to use a third party system to pull the data from Performance Manager over API, for example Graphite. I'm wondering if anyone out there has setup Graphite for this purpose or have used other tools (if so, any in particular)? I was hoping to be able to see the traffic on a network interface, something that I had thought would be quick and easy, but setting up yet another tool is a bit of a speed bump.

OnCommand Performance Manager collects data only from clustered data ONTAP systems. However, there are two ways to get performance counters into Graphite (or any 3rd party monitoring tool): * API feed from Performance Manager - benefit - best quality metrics due to proprietery counter post processing not available through ZAPI* Collect counters from cluster using ZAPI and push into Graphite Our solution for customers using both 7-mode and Clustered data ONTAP uses both options concurrently so that in Graphite you are able to see metrics for your entire NetApp estate. iTunes Store menu > View My Account...
Sign in and select "See All" in Purchase History.
You can only see them in "batches" of ten. As far as I know there is no way to obtain a comprehensive summary.
The prices are tabulated in that list. If they were supposed to be free, and they show that you were charged, then click the arrow next to the suspect purchases and click "report a problem".

Standard BW reports for SAP HCM Performance Management

Hi all,
I'm preparing a blueprint workshop for SAP HCM Performance Management and the customer wants to see the reporting in BW. Does anyone have experience with standard BW reports for this HCM solution and could someone please provide me with screenshots of these reports?

Getting letters for items that have been removed from my credit report

I have gotten several credit cards in the past month as I have been working on rebuilding my credit. Over the past few weeks I have been receiving letters from collection agencies for items that have been removed from my credit report. Has anyone else had this issue? Should I just throw this stuff away since it's not longer being reported on my credit report and the collections are so old they've been removed from the report? I am freaking out a bit. Any advice is welcome.

Performance Manager doesn't work

I defined the preferred credential for database and Node, OEM works fine. Then I tried to use Performance Manager with OEM, but every time when I tried to connect to database, I always got the same error message that said:
VTD-0123: Error connecting to service Oracle9i.ORACLE
DBA-01200: Error: Oracle LOGON failed
ORA-28009: connection to sys should be as sysdba or sysoper
SQL: OCISessionBegin
ODG-05271: Error: message decode:VP_INITIALIZE_REQ : vppcallbb fialed
Even I tried Performance Manager without OEM, still the same problem.

Implementation timeframe for Oracle HRMS Performance Management

Hi all,
If an organization already implemented HR, Payroll, OTL, Learning Management, SSHR et. and is now planning to implement Performance Management, how long would it take to implement this piece? We're talking about close to 3000 employees here. Thanks for your response. No customizations and out of the box functionality is the goal.

This is an interesting question. I believe the range of functionality used will influence it greatly. If you are looking at standard appraisals, then the period may be shorter (probably three months). However, if you are looking at PMP (seeding appraisals , cascading objectives, separate objective update throughout the year etc) I think the time will be more. (4-5 months)
Also, from experience, I do know that requirement gathering will be a time-consuming process unless the company already has an online template for doing appraisals (even if it's just an excel sheet)

Performing a find for items that are located on connected servers

We store all of our job files on a server which we can have show on our desktop. When we do a file find using spotlight there are no search results. When we used 10.4.1 we could perform these finds with no problems. Is there a trick that we are not seeing. Even when I open the connected server and type in a job number that I know is on the server it produces no results.

I understand you are having trouble retrieving the items inside “My Wireless Cart”. I would be happy to assist you get these items to show up!
You will need to sign in with the same Access ID or Username from when you placed the items in your cart.
Once you are signed in, click the “My Wireless Cart” link. Click on “Retrieve cart”, and then once more.
You should now see the items you had saved to your cart! If your cart is still showing as empty, please let us know what error code you are seeing.
The error code would be red font inside of parenthesis.

Any WebI reports / graphs for job chain performance over time?

I am trying to get reports over time that contain job and job chain information such as job chain, job description, elapsed time, job status, etc to allow for trend reporting against the job schedules. Thanks for any help. I would have thought that there was some basic reporting that could execute and be saved for reporting and reference.

For WebI/Graph report, you need to create the Dashboard but it will not give details which you required. It will be created on basis over day, time and dialer. You can find the option there for Graph/Techno etc.

I went online today and added my new bank card and not even FIVE MINUTES of having my new info on.....my bank sends me a withdrawl alert and sure enough.....it was from itunes for the same amount of money, listed on my past itunes purchase history!!!???***??? Someone needs to credit my account!!!!!!

Change item to be managed by serial numbers

Hi All,
I know this is not an SDK/development question, but have no idea where else to search for answer. So any suggestions will be appreciated!
I have an item that is created as not to be managed by serial numbers. I then do a goods receipt for the item. Then afterwards I want to change the item to a serial item. Is there any way that I can allocate serial numbers to the items already in stock (those that were created before manage serial was switched on?)

Thanks for your reply. I have tried this, but it adds the quantity I type in the Initial Quantity to the existing quantity, so I have double the required amount in stock after this operation. I have sent a query to SAP and their response was:
Hi, unfortunately it is not possible to assign serial numbers to items in stock that was entered BEFORE you turned on the serial number management. The system assigns the numbers only to the items that had 'manage item by serial number' ticked before they were purchased/sold. But it is possible to add serial numbers to items with transactions, but you can only add them trough new receipt documents (not update the "old" items that were in stock before you turned on the "serial management") This also means that you cannot add serial numbers to this item in a salesorder, delivery or invoice that was made before the management was turned on - unless you cancel the document and enter it again. The "drawback" with this is that you will not have equal numbers of serial numbers and actual items in stock. (The customer will always come to a point where they need to receive more quantity of this item to create new serial numbers again.) The solution can be at some stage to issue the stock with no serial numbers to a different warehouse or to get rid of this stock in other ways. The other option is to issue all stock from warehouse, and enter them again trough an opening balance, this time WITH serial numbers. You will then have equal number of stock and serial numbers.
So, it doesn't seem to be possible.

Performance manager collection

The majority of the host end device data is collected but there are hosts that there is no data just n/a in the following fields:
Avg. Rx/sec Avg. Tx/sec (Rx+Tx)/sec Peak Tx/sec Peak Tx/sec Errors Discards all have n/a entries. How do I enable the collection for these hosts.

Performance Manager does not collect statistics on nonmanageable and non-MDS switches. Loop devices (FL/NL) are not collected.
One year's worth of data for two variables (Rx and Tx bytes) requires a round-robin database (rrd) file size of 76 K. If errors and discards are also collected, the rrd file size becomes 110 K. The default internal values are as follows:
â¢600 samples of 5 minutes (2 days and 2 hours)
â¢700 samples of 30 minutes (12.5 days)
â¢775 samples of 2 hours (50 days)
â¢300 samples of 1 day
A 1000-port SAN requires 110 MB for a year's worth of historical data that includes errors and discards. If there were 20 switches in this SAN with equal distribution of fabric ports, about two to three SNMP packets per switch would be sent every 5 minutes for a total of about 100 request or response SNMP packets required to monitor the data.
Because of their variable counter requests, flows are more difficult to predict storage space requirements for. But in general you can expect that, each extra flow adds another 76 KB.

PDF Error in Performance Management

When launching the Performance Management link from Manager Self Service (Role) --> Talent Management --> Performance Management I am getting the PDF error. Seems the page is trying to open the form in PDF, instead I want it to be displayed in html itself.
For Travel Expense form I have changed the URL parameter "sap.xss.tra.UsePdf=true" for the resource EMPLOYEE_TRAVEL_TRIPFORM_SRV05.
What is the PCD Object and the resource key for the corresponding Performance Management iView.

Did you get this error in the initial landing page?
Please detail out the error. And for the pcd location, it depends on the role you created unless you are using standard objects.
This iview should have a webdynpro application.
