i have got one Group Contact in my Gmail (about 20 Person) and evry time that i write new mail i mail this latter for all just with tayping my Group Names And now i Using Apple Mail and i need to Crate My Group in my mac but i don't find plz help me

I have the same problem. And I changed the prefereences setting in Mail so that the addresses show. They don't, and you can't send to groups.

There is a separate application called Contacts in the Applications folder. You will also find Calendar there. They are also in the Dock.

Group emails using Apple Mail

From time to time I like to inform about 40 people that I have updated my iWeb site. To do this, I have assembled a 'group' of addresses and I send the update information to them.
It does not appear to be possible to do this using Apple Mail. I have tried breaking the group down into small bite sizes but poor old Mail just can't hack it. It is not up to the job using an internet connection in Australia or in Canada.
Creating such a group using Gmail Mailplane) does not seem to be possible. Indeed that is a distinct deficiency with an otherwise splendid facility.
I am always obliged to fall back on my dusty old copy of Entourage which does the job flawlessly. Unfortunately, Entourage does not send the sexy update message so handily supplied by iWeb.
I have just gone through this again today. Mail did not hack it. It first tried to use the Gmail SMTP server and then the old Dotmac one and finally my ISP provider's outgoing mail server. None of thse worked. Error messages about time outs on Port 25 arrived.
It would be nice to have the various Apple products working together seamlessly but, in my hands, this is not the case.
I am using the latest version of all software.
Any suggestions will be gratefully received and acknowledged.

Once one has updated iWeb a three pronged invitation appears on the screen. One of these invites you to 'announce' your changes. If you click on that, Apple Mail fires up with a pre-printed message and a nice little logo. It is up to you to insert any addresses to which you might care to send the notification of your up date.
Now, I have created a group of addressees in Address Book that I call Blog Group 1. I have arranged this group such that the addresses of members are concealed from other members. This you can do in Apple Mail preferences under 'composing.'
I then press the send button. Wheels spin and the machine whirrs and I receive a message that it can't be sent and that I should use another server. It supplies a list of possibilities. I try them all with the same lack of success. I no longer have the exact error message to hand and could only get it by sending my stuff out again and thereby unnecessarily bothering my correspondents.
After messing around with all of this, I use precisely the same group with Microsoft Entourage and hey presto! it works.
If I can send group emails with Entourage but not with Apple Mail then I hardly think that this can be an issue with my ISP. (I tried to phone tech support today to clarify the point but they are down!)
Why then not use Entourage and be done with it, I hear you cry? For reasons that I cannot explain, I try to avoid using Microsoft products unless there is no alternative. Apple purports to have nicely integrated software and so why not use that?
Do you now follow my problem? If you have any further insights, I shall be more than happy to hear them.

using g mail --I can compose an email using a buddy group. When I sync my ipad and use mail that group of buddy contact won't show up. what gives

I wish everyone would be forced to learn how to create BCC groups!!!
I have 'friends' and family that have been using email and computers for 20 yrs that resist so I had to stop asking "don't put my email address out there in TO: for everyone, and use a BCCs!"
And afterall, it is EASY / easier and that way you can keep a group informed about updates in lives of everyone.
There is also a setting in Facebook for Secret that only a group can see, so you can also have private group communications. Yes, I have my doubts, some days I think NSA invented Facebook/Twitter to lull people into turning over the keys to the car and make their work easier.

How do I add a contact to Apple Mail?

This seems like it should be a simple thing to do but I've struggled with it for a long time.
I am asked to ADD an e-dress to my contact list, in order for it to not be seen as spam. However the sender of that message was NOT the pertinent e-dress.
This is definitely not, for me, a user-friendly item. I have often gotten lost, as I am now.

It was in the dock as a default, you must have taken it out, but it is simple to put it back.
There is no need to 'search' Contacts, type the name in Mail and it will do the rest, you are over thinking this, are you a recent Windows convert?

Group contacts cannot send mail

I created a group, and tried to send them an email, but got error message "invalid address." Also would like names not to show when I send. How to send?

Welcome to Apple Discussions.
On your "invalid address" error, did it give you a Warning recipient does not appear to be a valid email address... If so, check the that particular address and make sure you have a valid email configuration.
Not showing the names requires a Bcc (blind carbon copy). The easiest way to do that is send the email to yourself and send all the others in the group as a Bcc.
If you have not set up that field in your new message pane, click on New then go up to View>Bcc Address Field. That will add the address field where you will insert your group. You can also pick out a person in the group to send to other than yourself and the Bcc the rest. No one in a Bcc group will see the other recipients other than the "main" one that you send - To:

I have a group in Contacts. When I type in the name of the group, a list of names appears, but it's not the complete list. Is there a fix for this?

How to Transfer apple mail data to windows outlook 2013

Looking for a solution that will help me transfer all my data, from emails to address book and contacts from apple mail to outlook 2013 in windows system.
I have gone through Imap way of email, but there are some few thousand emails stored as archive and are not available on server. And via Imap I cannot export my contacts and address book. So how can I transfer all the data from mac to windows outlook 2013.

If both system are using the IMAP mail provider all you have to do is setup the connection to the mail server and all the emails and folders will be copied down to the windows computer. That is what IMAP is for. The mail stays on the server, and can be store on the local computer also, and when you connect to the server with another device, computer, phone or pad, all the mail with folders gets copied to the other device.
But I think some of your mail was gotten using POP so it is not longer on the server.
Or you have emails in local folder only and they would be on the server. But you can create folder on the server in one mail program, or on the mail web interface and then copy those emails into those folder on the server byt copying them in one of the email programs. Then when you log on with the other device all of them will be downloaded to the other device.

Apple Mail Rules no longer seeing Contact Groups

I am running 10.8.3 and have many rules set up in Apple Mail, most of which label and organize my incoming e-mail, but something has happened and the rules stopped applying. I went in and checked my rules and the problem is that Mail is no longer seeing my groups in contacts. The drop down menu when I set Sender is member of Group now is grayed out and says no groups in Contacts. This is not the case, I have many groups set up on Contacts.
Anyone have any idea what is going on or how I can fix this. I have run permissions and run Disk Warrior on my drop, but neither seemed to do anything.

Try booting into the Safe Mode. Shut down the computer and then power it back up. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application unistaller. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

Apple mail and group contacts

I have created a group in my Address Book app. When I try to use Apple Mail to send an email to the group, I type in the name of the group in the To: section and after typing sa few characters, it recognizes the group name and (in a highlight) completes the name, but when i use the "right arrow key" or the "return" key to accept the group name, it disappears and does not enter the group in the To: field. I have tried this in the Bcc: field as well and it still does not work. I use a gmail address as my default mail account in Apple Mail and my group has only 19 contacts in it, and it still refuses to work. Please help!

Apple Mail: How do I add contacts to address book?

In the Apple Mail program, there is an option to add sender to address book. But when I do that, it just adds the sender to my address book, oftentimes without a name associated to the contact. So that contact could easily get lost.
I'd like to be able to add a sender from Apple Mail, then, at a later point, go to the address book and review who I've added, and edit their information.
Is there a way to add the sender to the address book, and have that contact added to a default folder within address book. That way I could later go back and review a bunch of contacts I've added at the same time. Thanks.

Adding an address to Address Book opens Address Book so that you can edit the card before saving it. Is that not happening for you, or is that happening but you want to ignore it until you're ready to go add other information?
If the latter, you could always create a smart group in Address Book with the criteria "Name" "is not set". Then just go in now and then and add names to everything in that group. Of course, the problem with this technique is you may have to go back and find that address in Mail and refresh your memory as to who it belongs to. It would probably be quicker, overall, to just add the name at the time you're adding the contact.

I have this same issue. I have over 100 email addresses that I need to add to a group. The issue is not making the group, it's getting the email addresses from Mail to Contacts.
Dragging the email addresses does nothing. You can copy the addresses, but there's nowhere to put them. You can make a VCF for an email address, but then you have to find all of them to add them to the group. How do you automate this?!
I'm astounded that there's so little support for such a common issue for which people have been asking for years.

Some of the people in my contacts have multiple e-mail addresses. Using contacts from within Apple Mail I can see these e-mail addresses. I then select the e-mail address I need to use and it is highlighted in blue. However, when I drag that e-mail address into the e-mail it uses the first e-mail address on the list and does NOT use the one that is highlighted.
This worked perfectly with good old Snow Leopard. Why doesn't it work now? What is the procedure for selecting an e-mail address that is not the first one in contacts ?

To see if there's a recovery volume installed reboot with the Option key held down and see what volumes are shown that you can book from. If there is a recovery volume it will be displayed. The arrow keys can be used to moved to the desired volume and the Enter or Return key to start the boot.
Yes I did that. I don't no why, but I have no recovery volume.
However, I do have mavericks on a USB flash drive. I booted from the flash drive and followed your procedure. This did not fix my Mail problem.
I notice now that after I drag an e-mail address into the header there is a small down arrow next to the incorrect e-mail address, this allows me to choose from a small group including the correct e-mail. I'm just wondering, perhaps this Is the way Apple Mail works in Mavericks.
