Guest user password

For about the last three weeks my guest user is being asked for a password. I have no idea what that password is so that facility is now useless. Have tried disabling and then enabling (managed) and it clearly states that guest users do not need to log in. Help would be appreciated.

Open the Terminal utility and run the following command:
sudo passwd Guest
At the first password prompt, enter your current user administrator password. Then press Enter at the second and third password prompts use an empty password for the user. This should clear the need for the password on the Guest account.

Navigate -> Security -> User -> Define -> Query "User Name":
Type a temporary password in the "Password" field -> hit the Tab Key
and confirm the password ... Then log in to Oracle Applications Forms
Interface as this user and change the password, when prompted to do so,
to match the value set in the "Guest User Password" profile.
Finally if the Oracle Forms Interface is not available for some reason you
can use SQL*Plus and the Applications API - FND_PROFILE.SAVE(). You can use
the file that generated this message (FND_TOP/patch/115/sql/afgstusr.sql) as
an example of how to code this function. Set the value to a known good
User_name/Password combination. Remember to go back and properly set up
a default GUEST account and to synchronize the profile after your upgrade is
complete using the appropriate steps shown above.

I have r12.
I try to do the Application Object Library AOL/J Setup Test http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B40089_10/current/acrobat/120sacg.pdf
There is the error under "Verify Guest User" of Coonection Test.

I am unable to reproduce the issue on my R12 (12.0.4) instance as the AOL/J test shows the following:
Under "Verify DBC Settings" page:
Checking guest user/password... ...verified:GUEST/ORACLE
Continue to next step only if you see no errors in this page.
Under "Making AOL/J Connection":
=>Testing validateLogin...
validateLogin(GUEST,ORACLE) returned: true
Successfully created WebAppsContext, login validated.Get the value of the GUEST password from the application context file (search for "s_guest_pass"), and use this password in the following command:
SQL> select fnd_web_sec.validate_login('GUEST','Guest Password')
from dual;This should return something like the following:
FND_WEB_SEC.VALIDATE_LOGIN('GUEST','ORACLE')
YPlease verify that the GUEST password is set properly in the following:
1) DBC files (under $FND_TOP/secure)
2) "Guest User Password" profile option
3) The above SELECT statement

SOLVED Ok. I actually was able to disable it. I had to actually log in as the guest user to make it accessible in the preference window. Then I disabled it and logged out. Apologies if this was obvious for some people, but I have had some sort of issue with something every update since Snow Leopard.

Ditto. Guest accounts shouldn't have a password. No way to enter one in System Prefs...

Restart the computer (with Parental Controls off) and try again. If there's no change, see below.

El usuario invitado sirve para habilitar acceso anonimo a ciertas partes del sistema.
Si no se usa, deshabilitalo. Entra a Preferencias del Sistema / Usuarios y Grupos con una cuenta con privilegios de administrador. Haz click en el candado de la esquina inferior, pedira el password de la cuenta. Selecciona al usuario invitado y asegurate que todas las opciones esten des-seleccionadas (sin paloma).

WLC Guest access Daily user/password

I have a WLC 2100 and 1131 LAP's does anyone know whether it is possible to create a local net guest user that either has a changing daily password or whether it is possible to create multiple users that are only valid for a specific time period. Basically all i want to do is, once a month create new users or passwords for each day of the month and the credentials are only valid for that day. I can see that i can time limit users but this would mean creating the user at midnight every day.

A1: No that is not possibe on WLC local guest users
Q2: it is possible to create multiple users that are only valid for a specific time period?
A2: Yes, you have lifetime per guest user that can be configured.
For your requireent, You need to maybe have a look to other Guest appliance like the NAC Guest Server, or create the user DB on ACS Radius Server for time restrictions.

Forgot password, tried randomly guest user, now nothing happens

Today i tried logging Ón my MacBook Pro when i found out that ive forgot my password..
While panicking i clicked ón guest user (1. Time)
Afterwards it just kept thinking like if it was setting something up. After 1-2 hours i held Down the turn ón/turn off-Button to restart so i could get back to my Own login-start page.. When i turned it ón again it started "setting up" the guestuser.. So now i am stuck!!! I Cant get back to my Real start-login-page......
Andy solutions? Shall i try to put an internetcable to my MacBook Pro?

It's rather odd that you need an admin password when you are the only user on it. This leads me to something malicious. Just to be safe, Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. 
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. 
All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

How can I reset my main user from my guest user when I forgot my password for the main user? Please help me!!!

Ok. I know I'm really stupid!
I forgot my main user password and so then allowed someone on my laptop who accidently changed over into the guest user! Now I can't get back into my main user and I was wondering if anybody could either help me reset the password from the guest user or even reboot my laptop so the memory is wiped and I can set up my main user again. Please help me!!!

I accidently logged off with Guest user and now I cant get back into my computer it is threatening to loose all my documents

As i am the sole user of my computer i dont use my password, therefore to be honest i have forgotten it. Now I dont know how to get my password back and i cant delete the guest user which seemed to have put itself there. if I try to delete. It I am told i will lose all my files. Your Mac encrypts your password as it is entered. It is never stored "in the clear". It cannot tell you what it is, or even how many characters are in it. All it can tell is, when you enter it again and it encrypts it again, "was that it?"
So you will need to Reset your password, which changes it permanently, deleting the old one.
