Need new result file for each iteration of a loop

I am using TestStand 2010 SP1. I have a main sequence that essentially does the following:
Initialize the test equipment and set up the test environment [Sequence Call]
Start Loop
Run Tests [Sequence Call]
End Loop
Because testing can continue for hours, the resultant report file is enormous and difficult to evaluate. I need to create a new result file for each loop iteration. I know that starting a new execution of “Run Tests” will create a result file for each iteration of the loop, but the new execution will not have access to the handles to the test equipment that were made during initialization. The testing is time critical, therefore initializing the test equipment and setting up the test environment must occur outside of the loop.
How can I programmatically create a new result file at the beginning of the loop and close the result file at the end of the loop? I am open to any other suggestions. Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi,
You could modify your process model by making a copy of Test UUTs entry point. Then make the loop that usually tests multiple UUTs into your loop. Take the loop and init out of your sequence. You can init in PreUUTLoop or the other pre loop sequence, and maybe store your references in runstate.root.Locals and pass them to MainSequence. Then you can use Report Options to set it for separate report files.

The title really says it all. I dislike the guide lines in the new PSE 10 crop tool. Is there a way to get rid of them so the tool looks like it did in PSE 9?

A client developer on one my projects commented that using the keyword "new" results in brittle code and creates interclass dependencies.
Why would this result in brittle code?
Which design patterns alleviate these interclass dependencies?

Why would this result in brittle code?It's a bit of an overgeneralization, but the point is that if you do Foo foo = new FooImpl(); then you are coupling that code to a specific implementation of Foo. If you find a reason to use a different implementation, you have to change the code. You don't get to decide the implementation at runtime.
This is not always a bad thing. You don't go around specifying or optimizing implementations for every single type at runtime. However, as a slightly extreme example, it would be a bad idea in a JDBC context to do Connection con = new com.oracle.jdbc.Connection() (assuming that were the actual class name and it had a public constructor).
Which design patterns alleviate these interclass
dependencies? Abstract Factory or Factory Methd I guess.

Yahoo search has no link to news results

I tried to like new Yahoo search, but I like to search for news, and Yahoo result page has no clickable link taking me to news results.
I know normal Yahoo search has this, why is Firefox customized Yahoo results lacking of this?

I am aware Yahoo has previously made available a Yahoo toolbar but it appears at present that is broken and being worked on by Yahoo[https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/forums/contributors/711130 .] The toolbar will apparently only work in outdated unsafe Firefox versions.

How to refresh a table results before getting new results ?

I receive in a table results from a BI query that is first fed from a selection screen with different dropdowns.
My problem is the following:
- when a new selection is made, the table is updated with new results : OK
- BUT when the result of the query is empty, the table keeps the last results
How can I fix this problem?

OK, the model is really simple:
- Form with several selection dropdowns
- BI query
- table with results
Everything is OK but, if there are already results in the table AND the user starts a new search that provides no result (no applicable data), the table is not updated and shows the last results, which is a problem ...

This is a humble request to guide me through the new case management.

I read completely about case management.
But i didn't get that when we are deploying out case into the server then we should instantiate which one the processess which are promoted as activity or the case where we are required to enter the caseid and all.
If suppose we are doing so that we are initiating the case then nothing happens only a new instance is created
Is it so that suppose there are 8 processes promoted as our case activity then we have to TEST each of the process individually,then again for each process a seperate instance is being created and the data cannot flow from one process to another.
Please guide me through this ,I am totally cofused regarding this.

You cannot. From a legal standpoint, the license agreement for OS X mandates that you run OS X only on Apple hardware. HP is not (yet) owned by Apple.
From a technical standpoint, your HP laptop doesn't use EFI, but rather an early predecessor called a BIOS. Apple is the only vendor of consumer computer hardware that uses EFI; other vendors reserve EFI for use in servers.
Secondly, Apple's operating systems support a rather limited number of configurations of video hardware and mainboard chipsets directly since they need only support those systems that they manufacture. You cannot use Windows software or drivers on OS X, so prior to installation, you would need to write your own hardware drivers for your laptop, create an OS X drive image on a Mac, and then modify that image with your drivers before putting it in the HP.
It will be simpler (and legal), to simply purchase a used Mac. Apple's online store has refurbished MacBook Airs starting at $850 and Mac Minis for $700. If you go to e-bay or craigslist, you'll find used Macs for considerably less.

Guide Box Visible with New 2014.1 Version

With nothing selected when you go to the Shadow panel of the Effects panel what's displayed?

ACR 8.6 RC and the D810 - have the controls changed? And is there a guide to using those new controls?

I just changed from CS5 to CC to support the Nikon D810.
When I open a RAW file from the D810, I am confronted by different sliders - things like Highlights and Shadows. White Balance and Exposure haven't changed, but the ones under that are different, or in different places.
I opened a D800e file in ACR 8.6RC, and the controls look the same as they did in CS5; it's only on D810 files I see the new controls.
I know how to drive the controls for the old ACR. This new set of controls, not so much
Is there a guide somewhere explaining the impact of the changed controls? I remember a really useful guide when "Clarity" was introduced, which explained (amongst other things) why I should be using Clarity instead of Contrast, and where to set a level of sharpening - that sort of stuff. I'm kinda hoping to find a similar guide for this.

Can you clarify that both devices could sync with the Vista machine, or did they both fail? Was it 64bit Vista?
Did you try the Aceeca drivers as mentioned in the sticky post at the top of this section? (64bit Windows USB drivers).
I'm going to assume the same drivers might work with Win8. If you find this to be true, please let us know!

Pouring xml in indd cs3 results in unwanted paragrahs at tag ends

I am importing a XML file in my INDD template. I get lots of unwanted paragraph breaks where the closing xml tags for elements appear.
Can someone guide me please to rectify the problem?

InDesign doesn't support SVG without a third party plugin.
The problem with the file size is not because of the image, but because of the preview, so I don't think file type makes any difference...
If the graphic is a simple vector, you can try pasting from Illustrator as native InDesign paths. Those don't have preview images.

Guide Screws for your new Hard Drive.

Thought I would share this as I ran into the issue of recently receiving a new internal HD with out the guide screws. My initial searches for these little gems (due to their surprising price) was disappointing as I was finding the **** things to cost almost as much as new drive. $75!?
Anyways after some determined search to find better prices I came across this site and found the screws for $15 for a set of 4. I have already received them and everything worked out fine.

I'm pretty sure the guiding screws for the second drive were inlcuded inside my Power mac G5 ... cannot remember where they were located (near the second drive bay) but I can state they were !!!
I have not the installation guide at hand now but can remember that was indicated there.

Guided Procedures: Initiate a new Process

Hi All!!
I'm working with IP (Integration Planning) for a forecast of sales. In Portal 7 and BW 7. I want to organize all the steps involved in this process creating a Guided Procedure, so that the user can assign roles per every task, could review the status of this process all time, and receive and send alerts, etc.
My problem is that with Guided Procedures It's necessary to "initiate a new process" and assign roles per task every time that we need to start the process again. It's very difficult to do because we have n versions per month and the permissions in tasks are always the same.
Is there a way to "keep" the permissions per task in every new process??
And another question, We'd like to give a more nice interface to the users, and that they do not have to enter to the role "Guided Procedures" every time.
Is there a way to access this functionality from other tool like Visual Comoser ?

I must stress that I have very limited experience with the guided procedures, and never created anything that I saw going into production.
However, as far as I recall, if it really is as you say you can then hardcode the roles in the solution. There should also be possibilities for a sort of role concept, but nothing as advanced as in Business Workflow from what I could gather (which is one of several issues explaining why nothing went into production).
With regards to the second question I don't have a clue.
