A magazine's app on my iPad has stopped working. When I open the Newsstand folder and click on the app, the screen dims briefly, then returns to the Newsstand folder. The other app in my Newsstand folder (Wall Street Journal) opens without any problem, and this magazine's app opens just fine on my wife's iPad.
I have deleted the app and reinstalled it from the Apple store and that makes no difference. I have also done a hard reboot on my iPad with no result.

I figured out how to fix the flashing yellow screen problem that I've been having on my MBP! Yessssss!!!

I followed the instructions on this page and here's what I did:
Resetting NVRAM / PRAM
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
I went through the 6 steps above twice, just to make sure I got rid of whatever stuff was holding up my bootup process. Since I did that, my MBP boots up just like normal. No flashing yellow screen anymore!!

I have been able to copy multiple photos on my Mac Book Pro by selecting the first picture and then holding the shift key while I select the last picture. This highlights all the pictures and then I can use the copy command. Recently that ability to select multiple photos (or files) has stopped working. I can only guess that I hit a combination of buttons that caused this feature to stop working. Any ideas on how to get this working again.

That's why you can't edit it.
Try opening your .dwt file in a plain text editor like NotePad. Remove the editable regions from code. Save. Open in DW.
You will need to SaveAs Template (same name as the one used by your child pages). Add editable regions to match the ones in your child pages. Save.

I followed the instructions exactly but I have no library button in the upper rt. corner. I made sure that I have "show Itunes in the cloud Purchases" checked and nothing I do works so I clicked on the link to apple support and it just sits there forever making little circles... Help?
If iTunes says "iTunes Store" at the upper-right, then you're already viewing your Library and don't need to locate that button. But if clicking the cloud icons directly in the iTunes library listing doesn't work, try this, presuming you're using iTunes 11:
- Delete the problem tracks from the iTunes library if you haven't done so already;
- Locate the "iTunes Store" button at the upper-right. If you see "library" instead, you're already viewing the iTunes Store.
- Click the Purchased link under the Quick Links;
- Log into your iTunes Store account if necessary;
- Locate the album in the sidebar;
- Locate the problem tracks and click the "cloud" icon.
If you are running iTunes 10.7, see the section titled "Using iTunes 10.7 or earlier" in the support article to which I linked in your previous thread.
If you still have problems downloading or the tracks still are defective, you'll need to contact the iTunes Store. That you can't use the link I posted in your other thread either, that may indicate a connection problem in your computer, perhaps security software blocking access to the iTunes Store.

My only options are:
1. Have them move some files over manually; which isn't feasible with students who are technically challenged.
2. Have them install an earlier version of Firefox. 11 is the last known good version that accepts the WMP install. The problem I am finding with this is even though I tell them not to update before installing WMP somehow they still manage to do it. A lot of times they don't know how to tell me what version of ANY browser they are using.
Firefox is one of the few browsers that work with our LMS well, but this plug problem is a real issue.
This only pertains to any student who has never had Firefox on their computer prior to 11.
Thanks in advance.I noticed it after 11, however with 12 students students experienced problems with puzzles in Angel LMS. We had people roll back to 11.
13 came out and that's when the trouble started. I usually stay in beta so I can get a idea of what's working. Once again I had people roll back to 11.
I logged into a system here I had not logged into before and did a fresh install of 11 and I was able to recreate the problem myself.
Getting people on 11 is a little harder this semester because I had to locate the 11 install and send that along with the plugin to new users. The 11 install likes to force the 15 update so they have to get the plugin installed right away. Sometimes the concept is a little much for some people.
Edit: 12 might have been okay, since we were rolling back anyway. I don't recall any issues with WMP the few weeks students had been using it.
Edit 2: I do remember trying to search these forums for the issue and someone posted that they had been experiencing the same problems with 12 beta (at the time it was beta) and I think it was explained as being a beta issue and it never went anywhere else. -
How to close the web browser already opened by a SAP report?

pretty strange question: a report written on an old 46C system "triggers" a web app opening a web link with the predefined browser.
I've seen many alternatives to open a web page (call method cl_gui_frontend_services=>execute, call method open_browser), but no methods to eventually close the browser and I wonder if it's possible.
The meaning of this request: the report will probably scheduled, so we'd like to trigger the web app and then close the browser... we are using this unusual method since managing web service calls in our obsolete system seems problematic (we opened a thread in SOA section specifically on the topic... seems it's not possible to do in a "clean" way).After trying a bit, I noticed it's not possible since there's no control on the lauched application. This is a major issue. I need the browser to open images left aligned like it did before this update. This is a major break to force this on people. There should be a option to click. "Check this box to open images centered in the web browser" and "Check this box to open images left aligned'.
Not that hard to do. Now I am forced to resorting to asking how I can force my browser to go back to how it worked before the update.Anyone have any idea how to force Safari to work like I want it to?

When I open up iphoto and click on the events tab then double click on an event, it used to show minis of all the photos in that event. Now it shows only one photo at a time. How do I get it back? Can you help?
On the bottom bar of the window (on the left iPhoto 11, on the right in other versions) note the slider. Drag it left.

I have CC for work and my PC to do work at home. At home I switched from PC to Mac this weekend. I want to redownload my apps for the iMac but it's telling my I'm using a 30 day free trial. I need to discontinue the PC apps and download to the new computer.
YOu need to sign out of the PC thru the CC manager and then sign in on the Mac.
