I have 50-60 Mac OSX devices on my corporate network.  I woudl like to install an "agent" on them that would allow me to report on how many have X copies of this or that software.
I also need a corporate Antivirus solution.
For PC, we have used things like MAAS360, Kaseya, Dell eSmart, etc....
What is a comparable Apple product for small business?

Scott if you are trying to install the Adobe Creative applications included with your Creative Cloud Membership then please see Install and update apps - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html.

what software can be used to manipulate photos on original ipad

There are a number of photo apps available in the iTunes app store e.g. the free Adobe Photoshop Express can do some basic editing (you won't get anything as sophisticated as Photoshop on a Mac/PC), and with iOS 5 the Photos app will allow you to :
Crop, rotate, enhance, and remove red-eye without leaving the Photos app
Though I'm not entirely sure whether that will apply just to photos taken with the iPad or all photos in the Photos app.

    Two thoughts:
    (1)     It is possible that your Adobe software was the result of belonging to a now-discontinued Adobe Print Service Provider program where for a certain annual membership fee, print service providers were provided with (a) both a Windows and Macintosh license to the Adobe print-oriented software products (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat) and (b) special direct product support as well as the ability to put your name on Adobe's website as a member of this program. The program ended over a year ago if I remember correctly.
    (2)     You may wish to contact Adobe Customer Support (not Technical Support) and see if they can track down any and all licenses associated with your company. If you have the names of the former employees who worked with this software, it would be helpful. Likewise, if you were a member of the discontinued Adobe Print Service Provider program, you may have some options for upgrading/updating the software you have.
Unfortunately, you cannot get any more definitive information about your situation on these forums.
    Good luck.

  • What software can I update with on my powerpc g5.  Running Mac osx 10.4.11, What software can I update with on my powerpc g5?  Running Mac osx 10.4.11

What software can I update with on my powerpc g5.  Running Mac osx 10.4.11, What software can I update with on my powerpc g5.  Running Mac osx 10.4.11.  Since it doesn't have Intel dual core processor, can't do Snow Leopard right?  Is there anyway to upgrade the software?

Snow is Intel only.  You could get Leopard 10.5 by purchasing a Retail (black) Disk off eBay or calling Apple Service and ordering one from them.  That would allow you to run Safai 5 and iTunes 10, I believe, but would lose Classic support in the process.

  • What software can be use to update iphone 3g 4.2.1 to iOs 4.4.4 without any error occuring...???

what software can be use to update iphone 3g 4.2.1 to iOs 4.4.4 without any error occuring...???

Ah...there is no iOS 4.4.4, & iOS 4.2.1 is the end of the line for your phone. There are no further updates available.

  • Encoded my surround files in compressor and now need to author to DVD. What software can I use?

I've created my AC3 file from my 6 surround audio files along with my video in compressor. What software can I use to author my surround video to DVD? I have FCPX but I don't have DVDSP or toast. Any suggestions?

Although I don't use it, I'm pretty sure Toast will treat the file properly. (But I would go on the Roxio forums to check.)
If confirmed, that would probably be your lowest cost solution.
Otherwise, if you know someone who has either Final Cut Studio or Adobe Production Suite you could use DVD Studio Pro or Encore.
    Good Luck.

  • Photo use only, what software can be removed

Purchased iPad specifically for photo and video projects. To increase capacity, what software can I delete from iPad to free up more space and not jeopardize integrity of device.

None.  Preinstalled Apps cannot be removed.  However their footprint is almost negligible in relation to the general OS space needs.
There would be no real benefit in removal even if you could remove them.
If you feel space is an issue, perhaps a larger capacity iPad would be a better choice.

  • What is the best practice to protect coldfusion administrator login page

    Hi all,
Can someone suggest what is the best practice to protect the administrator login? At the moment, there is only the normal administrator page password to protect. It seems like not very secure especially when the application is on the internet.
    Regards,
    Bubblegum.

You can protect the page with file system level privs.  Setup a new virtual server that maps to a seperate copy of /cfide (and remove /admin and /adminapi from the other cfide folder your internet sites use).  Limit what IP addresses can hit /cfide.
We run multiple instances, so we connect directly to each instance to manage it.  And those ports aren't accessable on the internet.  To top it off, we have an ISAPI ReWrite rule that sends a 404 if you try /cfide/administrator or adminapi.
If you're using CF8, you can set it up so it requires a specific username instead of a generic name.

  • Sun Java Web Server Administration Server Backup

    Hi!
I've a question about Sun Java Web Server Administration Server backup, how it's possible to backup all the config, the Administration Nodes keys included? I'm thinking about in case of full damage of Administration Server how can I install a new one and restore all the config so I can manage the cluster again? Or it is necessary to re-register the Node's to the new Administration Server? In this case how can I restor to the Administration Server the application's, virtual servers, etc...?
    Regards,
    bzg

The Admin Server is another instance of Web Server, but with some web-apps that know how to manage configuration files, etc. There's nothing real magical going on in there. You should be able to wholesale backup the entire directory and, if needed, restore it (in fact I've done this several times).
The files in the admin instance are considered a private interface, meaning that Sun does not guarantee that they won't change in location or format from one Update to another, but in practice they rarely change.
Regarding the nodes specifically - communication between the nodes and the admin instance is done over SSL using a self-signed certificate that was generated when the admin server was installed. The certificate is in the admin instance's config/cert8.db and key3.db files just as it would be for any "normal" instance. Keep those backed up along with admin-serv/config-store/ and you should feel pretty confident that you have the configs, nodes, and certificate/key backed up.
Again - the files in the admin instance are considered a private interface. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. You may burn your fingers and start a fire. Your mileage may vary. Files from WS7.0u4 may break things if restored into a WS7.0u10 deployment, etc etc etc.

  • What software can I put on my iPhone so no one can hack into my phone

I think my iPhone has been hacked.  Can anyone tell me what software I can put on my iPhone so I know my phone will be safe and no hackers will get into my phone? There has been weird stuff happening on my phone for example, my phone shuts off, my phone sends out text messages, and pictures get deleted off my phone.  I did a factory reset and that seems not to work.  I also took my phone into the store and they found spyware on my phone and we deleted that off my phone but since we deleted it, I am still having problems with my phone.  Any suggestions?

Unless your phone was jailbroken, there is no spyware that could have been installed. Like pogster, I'd like to know what "store" you took your phone into. Was it an Apple Store?
Restore your phone as new. Put a passcode on it. Do not let people you don't trust use it. Do not jailbreak it. That's generally all you need to do to protect your phone.

  • HT1338 I'm on 10.5.8 software and need to upgrade to a new version to allow new itunes software to work for my iPhone 5 what software can I get?

What software do I need to use itunes 10. and my iphone 5?

For an iPhone5 you will need iTunes 10.7, not 10.6.3.  Once you have Snow Leopard installed you will need to update it to 10.6.8 in order to install iTunes 10.7
    1) Make sure your computer meets Snow Leopard technical specifications - http://support.apple.com/kb/SP575  This mostly means making sure it is an Intel Mac and has at least 1GB RAM (at least 2 GB is recommended).  Go to the Apple in the upper left corner of any window, then  "About This Mac".  Does it mention  "PowerPC" (not Intel), or Intel? To check RAM continue to "More Info...".  It should say you have at least 1GB of "memory".
    2) Buy a Snow Leopard disc from Apple online
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard - USA
    http://store.apple.com/uk/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard - UK
or telephone Apple. In the USA: (800) 676-2775 (contact information for other countries: http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57)
Alternatively you can buy from online retailers but anticipate paying much more than the original price which is the price still charged by Apple
    3) Backing up your computer before upgrading is always a good idea.
    4) After installing from the DVD, update your Snow Leopard installation using Software Update or manually downloading and installing the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v.1.1 - http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399

  • What software can I get to completely check returned macbooks?

Does anyone know what software I can purchase for iMac's and macbook's, that have been leased by schools previously and I want to ensure all is working properly before I resell them?
Like pixels, disc drives, etc...?  Thanks!

The best test would be Apple's hardware test.  Another test product would be TechTool Pro. The version linked to looks to be one that can be used to test many systems, as opposed to TechTool Pro 6 that is licensed per system. I don't know if it's functionally the same as TechTool Pro 6, but you can look into if it would meet your needs.
