GW 2014 saving Custom Views

Has anyone been able to create a custom view in the 2014 .ghv format and got it to work? We have repeatedly tried on a Win7 pc. We are able to create and save the view as a .ghv file, but it does not show up for use under the New Mail pull down and if you try to open it directly it states it is not a view description file.

Check your custom view location under options, it's probably not set correctly.
Lep pozdrav / Best regards

  • Not saving customized view

Is the OnPlus interface supposed to save when a view is customized?
    Please see this thread.
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3925799#3925799
I thought I had this issue resolved but it appears that after a certain period of time not being logged into the OnPlus interface, it changes the customized view back to the defaults.  The only view that I have tried this on this the Overview page.

    Far from the first.
You win a new Mac Pro although it will cost $2500 in shipping costs.

  • Safari 8.0 preferences such as homepage or customized view not saved or maintained.

Cannot seem to maintain Safari 8.0 preferences such as homepage or customized view between sessions.

Back up all data before proceeding.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership, permissions, and access controls to the default. If you've intentionally set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it, but you do need to follow the instructions below.
    Step 1
If you have more than one user, and the one in question is not an administrator, then go to Step 2.
Triple-click anywhere in the following line on this page to select it:
    sudo find ~ $TMPDIR.. -exec chflags -h nouchg,nouappnd,noschg,nosappnd {} + -exec chown -h $UID {} + -exec chmod +rw {} + -exec chmod -h -N {} + -type d -exec chmod -h +x {} + 2>&-
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
Paste into the Terminal window by pressing command-V. I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting.
You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command may take several minutes to run, depending on how many files you have. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1, if you prefer not to take it, or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Start up in Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
              Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open. In that window, type this:
    resetp
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
    Select
               ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.

  • Saving a customized view in Aperture?

Is it possible to save a customized view in aperture like you can in Bridge? I know you can swap inspector and browser but I constantly have to change it because it will go back to default.
Help is very much appreciated. Thanks

This should happen automatically every time you close Aperture.  That is is not happening indicates some problems with Aperture.  Try repairing your Library after rebooting, then reboot again and see if it works as it should.  If it doesn't, your next step is to delete your User Preferences.  This almost always solves UI misbehavior.
Details on repairing your Library as well as on removing your User Prefs are on this Apple support page.
I find it is a good habit to close Aperture prior to putting any machine to sleep or shutting it down.

Obviously, as seen above, I'm doing something wrong or Live View does not do all the functions that Design View use to do.  I realize I can still access Design View in non-Fluid Grid Layout documents and that is my current work-around.  I copy from my Word file into Design View available in non-Fluid, then copy that code into my Fluid Grid Layout document, not real efficient use of my time.  And, even that work-around may not be available after the next upgrade.

Hans thank you for your reply and attention to this matter.  Moreover, with your steeped expertise I do not, in any fashion, intend to be flippant or capricious.
However, I do not believe the reply is on point since I'm not discussing the insertion of an HTML tag/element; but rather, the placing of complex formatted text into my various web pages.
Design View and  2014.1 Live View seem to serve different functions.  That is, Design View, for us, serves as a highly sophisticated HTML5 code generator that allows us to properly display complex formatted text that originally is created as a Word docx file.  As I noted in my original post, the complex formatted text from the Word file is then pasted into Design View and thus properly renders on the web page.  I invite you to try this yourself.  Simply copy my properly formatted text in my original post (that can be found at "Using Design View the web page rendered this way:") to a Word file, and it will retain the complex formatting, then copy that Word file text to both Design View and  2014.1 Live View files.  Please apprise me of your results.
Discussion has been had in at least two separate threads on the Design View disappearance in Fluid Grid.  In https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1597260 staff member Lalita wrote "It would be helpful for us if you list the issues you are seeing with fluid grid live view editing."  And in https://forums.adobe.com/message/6807088#6807088 staff member Subhadeep wrote "If you can list down the workflows you are trying while editing in Live View & the issues you are facing in doing so, it will help us understand what is amiss & suggest alternative workflows to do the same."  I believe I've pointed out issues when attempting to use Live View for functions or work flow that customarily had been done in Design View.
Being a CC subscriber, if someone can provide me with a workflow using other additional Adobe products to get my complex formatted text from Word ultimately to my Dreamweaver web page, be it an image insert or whatever, I would take the suggestions.
The difference in the coding of my example in my original post is as follows.

It is readily apparent that Design View is a much needed code generator in the Dreamweaver product.  Live View serves completely other, and needed, purposes.  Therefore, I still, after all the forum discussions, do not understand why Design View has been removed from Fluid Grid.
Again Hans thank you for your reply.  But unless I'm missing something, citation to the links you provided does not solve my problem.  And that problem is this: If Design View is on its way out and thus will be completely removed from Dreamweaver at some point, then how do I provide my information (i.e. complex executive job descriptions) on my website?
Apparently a vote is taking place https://forums.adobe.com/ideas/3922 on the issue of placing Design View back into Fluid Grid.  I do not understand why the need for two rather disjunctive functionalities are at the mercy of the democratic process.  These are matters of engineering principles not "town hall gatherings".

  • Adding Flex-field to Custom View in the Worklist

    Hi,
I am using OAS10133. I have mapped a SIMPLE_TYPE payload attribute to a flex field label in the worklist. I created a custom view. I want to display this playload attribute as a column in custom view and want to make it searcheable. But when I create the custom view, then at the time of selecting the columns, I do not find the name of this label listed in the dropdown.
I have also made an entry in WorkFlowLabels.properties file.
Can anyone please let me know if I need to follow any other step to display the flex field label as a column in custom view?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Pete,
There are two exits that were used.
A user exit IMRC0001 (MeasPoint/MeasDoc: Exit before update (after COMMIT WORK) /  FM: EXIT_SAPLIMR0_001) for the transaction IK11 to enter the value for the custom field. When the measuring document is saved a pop up appears wherein the value for the custom field can be entered.
A menu exit IMRC0003 (MeasDoc: Menu exit for customer-specific function / FM: EXIT_SAPLIMR0_003) for the transaction IK12 in order to change the custom field.

  • How to restrict an infopath custom view based on SharePoint group or security group membership?

    Hi,
I have created a custom view in InfoPath Designer 2013 based on a SharePoint online - custom list.
Right now the custom view is available for all users in the "View:" dropdown under the "PAGE DESIGN" tab in InfoPath.
I would like to make this view available only to a set of users. (i.e., users of a SharePoint group / Security group).
Please let me know how I can do this..
    Thanks,
    Thanan

    Hi Thanan,
We can use check the current user permission using REST API in SharePoint 2013, then hide the dropdown the "View" base on the permission.

  • CC 2014: Saving Workspace doesn't (really) save it. Ugh!

Drives me crazy.  I'm working in a big 3d project with lots of nested comps. I set up my two screens with locked viewers showing the two essential comps, usually in two views -- active camera and custom view. It takes time to set this up.  I save the workspace, but when I reopen AE and select the saved workspace it doesn't give me anything like the elaborate workspace I set up and saved with all the viewers I carefully set.
Is there any way to REALLY save a workspace, because right now it looks as if the only way to save it is NOT to close AE. Ever. Until I'm done with the project.

    Hi
    And velcome to this forum.
Sounds very irritating. Only time I got this kind of problem was when I used
an external hard disk. Sound and audio should be integrated in the same file
but it is most certainly more to that.
I had my Camera connected to my ext hd and from this to my Mac.
This is a way to work with some Canon Cameras but nothing I suggest.
Now I connect my Camera to my Mac and do the import/capture to the internal
disk drive (nothing external connected but the Camera).
Then if I must I move the movie project out to the external disk for editing
but I try to make space on the internal one to be able to work there most
    of the time.
    Other origins to "wandering audio":
    - to little free space on the internal hard disk (more than 20Gb recommended)
    - wrong mix of program versions
    (Mac OS X.4.8 + iMovie 6.0.3 + QT 7.1.3 (or 7.1.2 - there can be problems
with both of them) I use this mix and it works OK for me.
Please keep in tuch and tell on progress.
    Yours Bengt W

  • Outlook 2013 custom view reverting to default at random times

I have a customer who uses very specific view columns, color coding, and ordering to go with some custom addins. Every couple of months, his default view settings saved under "userdefaultview" will revert to default for no apparent reason.
Windows updates are not causing this as there is no time correlation.
System restore has worked once in the past, but is not working right now.
User is on Outlook 2013 connected to Exchange 2010 through an onsite server. He only uses one onsite desktop, and remotes in with other devices due to the large amount of customization on his Outlook client.
    Thank you.

since Outlook 2003, the view settings information is stored in the mailbox or PST file. it may be difficult to determine the root cause because this issue happens every couple of months. the cause may lie with the client side or the server side.
to work around it, try to back up the custom views to a pst file which we can use to restore the views if this issue occurs. see:
    http://www.outlook-tips.net/how-to/copy-outlook-custom-views/
after the backup, we can also try starting outlook with outlook /cleanviews and wait to see if it will fix the issue.

  • Is there any way to create custom views, like in Thunderbird & Evolution?

    Hi Folks,
I have recently switched to Mac. Before this I was using Linux. For mail I used Thunderbird (TB) for many years, and then eventually switched to Evolution Mail (EM) for its smoother integration into Linux.
On both TB and EM I revolved my work flow around custom folder views. As new email came in I would label it (on EM, or tag it on TB). I have numerous inboxes (email accounts) so I would generally be starting out in a smart folder that displays all mail in each inbox. I would most of the time view that smart folder with a Custom View filter in place. The filter would simply display ONLY mail with NO tags/labels.
Once my filter inbox showed NO messages it meant I had labeled everything. I would them use other smart folders to display mail with certain labels AND NO "Completed" label. That way I could go to my "Reply ASAP" folder and see what needed my immediate attention. Each email I replied to I would then add the label COMPLETED and it would vanish from my view.
I explain the above in case someone has specific suggestions on how to achieve a similar workflow on Mail.
In short, what I am wondering is this:
    - Is there a built in way to filter a folder on the spot (with a drop down list of predefined and custom Views) --- I have looked and so far did not find this feature
    - Is there a way to do this with a script or add-on? I have looked at many and not found a suitable one yet.
I am appealing to the knowledge of those with more experience in Mail. It is new to me.
I am currently using TB on my Mac because it gives me the above feature. BUT it does not have the same degree of integration with the OS and other Mac specific apps that Mail has. Thus I am keen to stick with Mail.
    With thanks,
    Jonathan

    In addition to above:
I have installed a trial of Mailtags. It certainly improves the tagging capability of Mail.
I have also looked at the Smart Mailboxes and Smart Mailbox Folders.
As far as I can tell, however, there is no option to set up a smart mailbox that ONLY shows message with NO LABEL or NO MAILTAG (as the case may be). I can display messages with particular TAGS but not NO tags.
Is there any way to add more options to the Smart Mailbox filter system?
    Cheers,
    Jonathan

  • Error while adding a attribute to the the Custom view through a wizard

    Hi ,
I have created a new custom view with value node through wizard  succesfully.
Now I want to add a new attribute to that node.I am trying to do that by a wizard.
But i am getting the follwing error " Error during analysis of Source Code" although i have
commented or removed my all custom code from that view.
I tried adding the new aattributes in the metthods "IF_BSP_MODEL~INIT " and
"GET_TABLE_LINE_SAMPLE " manually but that also does not worked.
Plz help me with this asap.
    Regards,
    Sharad

    Hi Sharad,
I hope all your classes are active. In case you want to add a new attribute there are two steps.
1.Right click on context node and create attribute, it opens a wizard and continue. This will add the field in the context node and generate the getter-setter methods.
    2. In the above two method whcih you mentioned add the new field in the structure of value node. And then create your own getter-setter methods. and activate it. After this you will be able to see the attribute added in the context node.
By using any of the two approaches you will be able to see teh new field in the configuration.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Ruby.

  • How to create a customized view in SCOM monitoring to view alerts

    Hi All,
I am trying to create a customized view in SCOM 2012 R2 monitoring for command center team to have the alerts from Server OS, AD, Exchange and few other MPs. I understand that I can use the option "Create by Specific source" and by selecting the

    Hi Srini,
Based on the above requirement, You want to create a Dashboard view with Specific alerts but not all right ?
Based on my understanding on your above requirement i created one in my SCOM. Please let me know if this is what you really wanted ?
For the below you really need to know what are those alerts, ONLY those alerts you want to be displayed in the dashboard.
Then Go to the Monitoring tab in SCOM and then Right click Active alerts and select New -> Select New Alert view
When you select new alert view you will need to specify the Resolution state and the Specific alerts you want.
In the below example i have selected "MSExchange Active sync Alert" as a example. So my goal is here such that only the alerts i have specified from my selection ( "MSExchange Active sync Alert") if it appears in New state will appear
in this view not all other alerts.
So for that i just used the below options:
    Resolution state & Alert name
    Resolution state = New
    Alert name = %MSExchange XXXXXXXX%
Also as of i see there was no option for entering multiple alert names. But i think there is and i am still trying as it accepts some SQL Wild cards. So if any one has an idea what is the wild card what is to be used to mention multiple names in that Name
    view please let me know.
