Had no luck trying to get a bill error fixed.

BT Sport is suposed to be free with bt broadband ( infinity 2 to be specific ) right?
Well I agreed to re-contract 12 months with that starting early feb 2015 with infinity 2 discounted, and paid a years line rental up front to boot and agreed that the package included BT sport for free ( Though i'm expecting to have to pay extra in the comming months for champions league so it should be discounted by £13.50) for 12 months,  and that i'd pay £3 a month BT Sport in HD and the £7.45  for unlimited lan line calls.
First 2 bills after the re contract are fine. the 3rd bill i get hit by this unexpected charge.

Which I quickly call up about and the customer service agent agrees this is wrong, This will be credited back to my account and count towards my next bill.
Now i'm buzy so i don't always get chance to check everything right away only to find i'm still being charged £6.75 for bt sport which should be free. If i'd have know this was going to happen and agreements would be broken i'd of gone with plusnet and got BT sport with them instead. 
I've called again and taled to an indian guy who i'm not sure fully understood what has been happening, trying to get me re-contracted ( and i will be really anoyed if he did that ), but i already did that to get bt sport free.  I'm not sure if he fixed it or if i actually have the correct credit on my account from the months i should of been having BT sport free.
I now make it my next account should be £39.54 in credit to go towards my next bill ( which is more than my bill should be), how on earth do i get though to a anyone in customer services that can actually fix this properly, and not just talk a good game, convince me they have fixed it only to find out a month later that it isn't !

    No you cannot.
    You can only make a backup dvd of your movies, fo use in itunes on yur computer.  You cannot burn a video product to dvd to watch on a dvd player, just as you cannot copy a dvd that you purchase.

    Apple supports most of their computer products for a 7 year period, could be that your IBook is well past any kind of help.Secondly parts are no longer being made for this machine and never will be again. Finally I find it hard to believe that nothing has been done with this for 6 years.Have you documented the reasons why you were turned down for repairs ? were the replaced Ibooks within a couple of months of warranty expiration? What model is your IBook ? At least if we knew what the model #, some of the more techy types could find out if there were any repair programs for your model.
    Seems odd that you'd hang on to a non-working IBook for that long.

  • Trying to get a billing issue resolved, getting no...

    I have been been going around in circles with BT.
    It all started about a month ago when we recieved a call from BT saying that if we didn't pay our bill, we'd be cut off. We hadn't received a bill, it must have never been sent, or been lost in the post. The guy on the phone told us how much we had to pay so I paid the bill online.
    That would have been it except that I was really in a rush when I did this and by mistake I put in the wrong account code, so the bill payment went into someone elses account, not mine.
    A week later I got called again by BT being threatened with having our phone cut off, so I rang them back and figured out what the problem was and explained to the person in the call centre what had happened, and he said that he'd marked the payment of the bill so it would be transferred to our account, not the account I had put in by mistake. The last thing I said to the person on the phone was "Will BT cut me off now?" and he said "Absolutely not."
    One more week went by, and BT restricted my line, for not paying the bill. I called up, again, and explained the problem, again, and the person in the call centre apologised and had the line reactivated and said that the payment would be switched to our account. He said it would be expedited, and we wouldn't be charged for reactivation, and that we wouldn't need to call back about the issue anymore.
    Another week went by and you've guessed it - We get another call from BT, saying they're going to disconnect our service permanently if we don't pay the bill. At this point I just capitulated and paid it, AGAIN, online, with the correct account code. In all honesty, I'm expecting BT to cut us off on saturday regardless of the fact that I've now paid my phone bill, twice.
    We've been perfect customers with BT for twenty seven years and they just turn around and treat you like **bleep** the moment there's the slightest problem.
    All I want is: 1) the original, incorrect payment I made either transferred into my account, or refunded to me and 2) to not have to pay any stupid late payment/reconnection fees. We paid on time, despite the fact there was never a bill
    I want to know what I can do from here - I really don't want to have to call anyone else, I've spent about £50 on endless calls to people in BT's call centres who just don't understand what the problem is, and can't do anything to help.

  • I'm trying to buy ebooks from app store.I've just used old one before w/no prob downloading apps.  Never had much luck trying to make these changes.

    It keeps saying Invalid e-mail address.  Used new one & it says the same thing.  Have Had New e-mail address For 6 months, but it never synced in App store.   Have downloaded apps before using old address w/no problem.   I wanted these books download by tomorrow since I won't have access to Internet for a week.

    That is priceless!!!  Thanks!  I sure needed a good laugh after spending/wasting hours & days trying to either get my c6280 to give up on its Ink System Failure fixation, or find a decent replacement.  Unfortunately I need the Smart Web Printing feature that I guess only HP has, or I'd try a different brand. And now even HP has very few models with that available.
     My error msg is a little different from those previously stated, but close:  0xc18a0201.  Even tho there were frustrations with my c6280, I did like several of its unique features which are hard to find now under $100.  I hate how HP (& I suppose other brands also) are CONSTANTLY changing models & then of course ink cartridges.
    Oh heavens, I've had the c6280 a whopping 2 1/2 years!   I'm sure they want us poor slobs to have to buy a new one every year & a day!  To say nothing of the exorbitant prices for ink.  And now if this one is really dead in the water, I have SIX unused #02 ink cartridges which I cannot return---I got them in a combo pack, & for some reason have wound up with THREE lite pink & THREE lite blue cartridges, while having to buy extras of the other colors, that ran out before the others!!!   Yeah, & what's with that not being able to print in BLACK if a color runs out????
    Anyway I really loved your essay!   It's a classic!  And says it all!  I hate that we have to be 'slaves' to the electronic 'wonders'!!!

    Hello,
    I've been stuck for some hours now trying different things to install Windows 7 on my Macbook Air, and I think now is the time to call for some custom help.
    I'm using OS X 10.9.5 Mavericks.
    So some months ago I just wanted to run Linux on my laptop so I installed rEFInd, shrunk the Macintosh HD partition by 25GB and booted on a linux live USB flash I burned using dd.
    Then I used gparted to create my linux partitions.
    It worked just fine, even though disk utility from OS X seemed quite unhappy about this (it seemed to have incorrect informations about the filesystem on these partitions, seeing them as journaled Mac OS while they were clearly not). At this point already, the Recovery HD from mac showed up in disk utility, which I found weird but didn't bother me.
    But recently I needed windows on my Mac. So after a few tries for the triple boot, I managed to create a bootable USB stick with boot camp, which already showed me the message "The startup disk cannot be partitioned or restored to a single partition" and hence refused to partition/install himself.
    So I thought "OK, that's no big issue, I can just partition with disk utility and then boot on the USB stick and everything will work fine". But when EFI booting on the USB flash drive I got stuck at the beginning of Windows installer with no keyboard or mouse support.
    After some hours spent googling, I was unable to find a working fix for that, and as there was no support for my case (where I used bootcamp to create the bootable flash but NOT to partition/reboot) I decided to give bootcamp a try.
    So I erased my linux partitions, and cleaned up everything I could on the HD with disk utility. That means I now have two partitions showing in disk utility : Macintosh HD and Recovery HD.
    When using disk utility from terminal, the list is :
    /dev/disk0
       #:                       TYPE NAME                    SIZE       IDENTIFIER
       0:      GUID_partition_scheme                        *121.3 GB   disk0
       1:                        EFI EFI                     209.7 MB   disk0s1

    But boot camp still isn't happy, and the message "The startup disk cannot be partitioned or restored to a single partition" keeps popping after the intro and I can't partition/boot from bootcamp.
    So, as I don't understand what is wrong here anymore, any help would be greatly appreciated!
    I will be watching the thread a lot because I really would like this resolved (or windows installed one way or another) this weekend; so any questions on my past manipulations or config just ask!

    keyboard issues are also something of a common issue.
    I wish the best threads were voted to the top of forums, something! Me, I literally burned out here, but after installing 10 Preview, wanted to "see what was going on" after hiatus of a couple years and see if anything had changed (no, not really!)
    Also, these new Communities are not putting "more like this" and failing to help too.
    I think rewriting Boot Camp Assistant's built in help and pdf would help a lot, and needs to be clearer and go into details. And Yosemite was not it seems tested against Boot Camp, and drivers for new Macs + new OS also lag behind. Again, common and no sign of improvement or change.
    One of the tricks to the "can't partition" is rather simple - of course backup is step #1 and is spelled out - SHRINK the main HFS+ partition! then stretch it back to full length. Sometimes a reboot is needed, and sometimes even do a Safe Boot - not sure what but Recovry Mode might be a good option too. That does seem to consolidate free space, move files that are locked and cannot be moved otherwise, and allow BCA to partition, jusst be sure to have enough space left and large enough for a proper Windows install (and fudge factor).

    You have to.

    In March I edged up my wife's phone line, no problems.

    I am table which holds records for bill generation. I have column name gene_bill_date which is date field and it holds a value the date on which the particular bill was generated.
    Now I am trying to get previous bill date, not the current bill date. I can to Max(gene_bill_date) to get current bill date, but how do I get previous bill date?

    You didn't post any sample data, so I'll use the scott.emp table to illustrate. Let's say we're interested in deptno=30 only, just to reduce the output from 14 rows to 6.
    If, for every row, you need to know the most recent gene_bill_date before the one on that row, you can do something like this:

  • Previous perchases billing error

    Have been getting a billing error saying that the previous perchases but I have not tried to download anything. I have filled in the propped information and was charged a bill for $30 which I contacted iTunes for a refund for. While I had paid for this the message went away and I was able to continue downloading an updating my applications. However iTunes granted me this refund and the bill was reversed and the billing error message is now popping up again. It pops up when ever I try to update applications any sujestions to how to cancel this payment without having to pay it or delete the applications that it is connected to??????

    So why don't you do as the error message told you.
    This is a user to user forum and we can't do anything with bills here.

  • Connecting DVR to Airport Extreme for remote viewing of my home 16 camera system. I have tried for 2 days and still stuck. I have secured a dyndns account and have had no luck for 2 days. A detailed list for an amateur would be much appreciated.

    I have been trying for 2 days to connect my home camera dvr to the internet through my Airport Extreme. I have read several previous posts on this topic and have not been able to get this completed. I secured a Dyndns account and registered a host domain. I am not clear on which ip address to use and really which is which. Seems like the ip address for the router is different from the ip address that showed up when I secured my dyndns host name. I used the one that was listed on the signup that staed " your ip address is". I have read up on port forwarding and watched UTube and still no luck. Can someone walk me through a steo by step process on how to get this completed? I want to be able to watch my cameras from my iphone, ipad, macbook pro and the internet. I do have a manual that came with the DVR but it seems everything is setup for Windows and a different router, seems like the AE router had different settings. I can usually figure these things out eventually but I am really stuck this time. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

    I wish I could share the two screen shots I took, but this question site doesn't have the option, so I guess I'll describe where Bing is showing up.
    In the left hand of my browser, just to the right of the back and forward arrows, there is speech bubble with a black eye ball or something. I found out it's Bing-related by clicking on it. There is no option to remove it with either left or right clicking on it.
    Also, in the right hand corner of my browser, at the very end of all my tabs, there is a white rectangular box with an orange "b" and a magnifying glass symbol. It will not respond to anything I try to do to it either, but if clicked it opens a new tab with a Bing search dialogue box.
    Finally, any new tab I open automatically opens to the Bing search dialogue box (versus Google).
    I need to get specific, step-by-step instructions for removing this Bing stuff from my computer. As I said, I have already gone through all steps outlined in the article I mentioned above as well as not been able to locate Bing in my control panel.
    Please help. I'm certain others are having this same issue. I use Windows 7 and Firefox. Thanks.
