Java EE 5 download?

Does anyone know of a page where I can download the Java EE 5 SDK? I have the SE 5, but I'm working with JWSDP 2.0 and it requries some classes that aren't in the SE.
Every link I try on Sun (Oracle's) site takes me to the EE 6 download page. It's really starting to pi$$ me off. I know they want to sunset the older versions, but some of us are stuck with what we have.

hai all of you,
i have a problem regarding downloading plugin.
i am using <object > and <embed> tags to download the plugins inorder to run the applets. but it is taking long time to download the plugin form sun.com.
so what i have done is, i downloaded the plugin.exe file and .cab file and put it in my tomcat server mainted by other party.(y application if for internet purpose only.)
i refered to http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/1.2/docs/intranet.html. there it is mentioned that, to download the plugin.
for I.E i can able to change the code.
but for NetScape it's a little bit confusing.
i have downloaded the binary file in my own directory.
here he is asking to set up a java plugin-in download page.
instead of this "plugin-install.html" page what page i should create and what should be the code in this page if i have to write on my own. please let me know if anybody know about it.

I have successfuly done this.
Change the converted html as per the instructions to point to another page.
Here is an example of the new html page you need to create:

If you put the file j2re-1_3_1-win.exe on a web server somewhere then you will have to prefix the file with

Depending on your OS, you should be able to use;
Win:

Some have found that the page may turn up blank to start with, so it may be necessary to reload the page.
Others have found that it may depend on browser. Specifically, a switch from Safari has solved it in one case.

Can't access JAVA plug-in download site

I need a JAVA plug-in installed to complete a shipping transaction on eBay that I have already been charged for.
EBay window will not let me automatically install the plug-in so I click on the manual install choice & navigate to the JAVA Free Java download buttom page.

First Java Web Start download doesn't update, second time does

I'm using Java Web Start with our application. This release we upgraded to java 1.5 from 1.4. Now I have a few PCs, not all, that do not get updates the first time they launch the application. But when the launch it the second time they get the download. The jnlp didn't change between releases? Any suggestions? I'm not using lazy loads, in fact I'm using the default which should be eager.

I have similar situation. At the machine is installed Java 1.6 u1. Setup first version of application. After deploy second version of application and run application start update, but console show that application use old packages. At the same time main package is uploaded? I'd try to use <update check="always"?> but there are no positive result.
At the same time then installed Java 1.6 u2, all works fine.
Any suggestion, how it could be resolved, without Java 1.6 u2 installation?

Mostly, these pages seem to solve the issue, however, one small problem still exists for me:
Due to a combination of not having dealt with this issue in a long time, and being not at all computer savvy, I'm not sure which exactly I should download.
I'm pretty sure that it's Java JRE 8, but I want to be sure so I don't cause a bigger problem than I already have.
Also, clicking on the Java JRE 8 button leads me to a list of download links, two of which are for "Windows x64", which is what I have. One ends in ".exe", and one ends in ".tar.gz". Which do I download?

You install Java for your whole system, not only your browser. It's always recommended to upgrade to the newest version, so do that. You might have to restart your browser afterwards for the changes to take effect.

www.jscape.com has a great library for FTP as well as HTTP protocols. The library contains support for a host of other protocols as well. A trial version is available, but the licensed version is $95. I tried to find freeware for this type of functionality but none of them were very good. Shelling out the $95 ended up being a wise decision.

Hi,
you should first deploy the drivers for MySQL to the server, then define a custom DataSource (with native or vendor SQL).
