Had to change my Apple id, now having trouble with email on icloud.
And also receive pop ups that says there is a with problem with photo stream which i can't use, with my operating system

For the ones that give you an option, select the option you want (keep on the Mac or Delete). For the ones that are simply warning you, click on Delete from Mac.
They will all come back when you sign back on, since all you did was change your existing Apple ID to a new email address. It's the same iCloud account, just with a different name.
It's the only way to get your updated ID signed onto iCloud.

yes! just loaded mountain lion yesterday beacuse my mail server was acting up and i thought it would help. now its worse, apple mail is giving me error messages, cant connect to server. i can get emails but can not send out. everytime i open the program it takes a VERY long time to load. thanks apple, great job!

My wife and I share apple id but have our own phones, and now having trouble with imessage. Sharing calenders, apps, music, contacts, etc...all great. But when we imessage each other. Our phones get confused and either not deliver message, or send it to and from itself.

Go to Settings > Facetime and you will see "You can be reached for video calls at:"
This should list your phone number (iPhone) and your email address (probably the gmail one).
And then an option for "Add another email..."
Choose that and enter your @me.com account and it'll send a verification email.
Same for iMessage: Settings > Messages > "Receive at" > Add Another Email
So you can be called by facetime and use iMessage through multiple email accounts yes.

I had to change my apple ID now how do I update icloud without deleting all cloud data on the computer?

My provider is terminating email service so I had to change my apple ID. I did that in iTunes but now my icloud on my PC wants me to sign in under my old id, I don't see a way to update to the new ID without deleting all cloud data on the PC. Is there another way so I don't have to resync everything from the cloud?

Having trouble with email reviews

Hi all, I am testing Acrobat X for my company and I am having trouble with testing for "send for email review/merge comments". In my last test I made a PDF from InDesing as usual and on my "test" Mac using Acrobat X I opened the PDf and sent it to 3 people for email review. One of the people was using a PC and Acrobat 9 Reader, the other two were using Acrobat X to make comments and send back. I should note that I am using one test machine (iMac) for all three of the Mac reviews, but each individual is logging on with their ID for the network and the email program (entourage).
All three reviewers were able to get the PDF in the email, make comments and then use the "send comments" button to send back to me.
My problem is that when I got all three emails back, and when I logged into the test machine as myself, opened the returned PDFs, I was only able to "merge comments" from one reviewer (from Mac) to my original PDF. With the email from the PC and one email from the iMac, I was UNABLE to merge these two sets of comments. The merge comments button was unavailable, I never got the message about if I wanted to "merge comments" or "No, open this copy only." And when I tried to go through "comments>merge comments onto master PDF" I was not able to see that option anywhere, either.
Sorry for the long explanation, but I want to include as much info as possible to try to get the proper feedback from you all.

" you mean that you have created 3 different users on your mac machine and configured entourage for each of them. If not then please explain this.
Have you tried using any of these:
a) 2-3 Mac partitions for the different users
b) 2-3 different mac machines for the same
c) maybe 2-3 Mac Virtual machines on a Mac main machine
If it is possible can you please try that scenario on any of the above mentioned combinations and let us know the results. This will help us a lot in narrowing down the issue.

If you are having issues with getting mail on your iPhone, then go over the troubleshooting in the article below. If all the settings and passwords look good, then I would recommend removing the account and setting it back up.

Having trouble inputting email in iCloud...

I'm having trouble inputting my email address in iCloud. It says "Your email address must be less than 21 characters", mine is 25 characters, and I can't change it because it's a standardised work email. Can I somehow bypass this?

I have tried cutting down the email to less than 21 characters and it says...
'Your email address can only contain non-accented Roman letters, numbers, underscores (_), and periods (.)'
I have tried everything but it won't let me set up an email address!
Re the contacts - I have restored from my back-up then, merged with the cloud again and the same thing has happened - all my contacts have disappeared and I am left with only Apple Inc.

Mail now having trouble with exchange server

Hi There,
We use a hosted exhange server for email which has been working fine for the last year but all of a sudden we seem to be having issues copnnecting - Mail just sits there with the spining animation and the Activity window displaying a variety of messages such as:
"Syncing Inbox"
"Requesting latest information"
"Traversing mailbox hierarchy"
"Adding messages"
I've talked to our provider and they say nothing's changed their end but we're seeing this issue several times a day accross both 10.7 and 10.6 macs and in different locations (work, home and when traveling).
Normally a restart will fix the issue but I know have a Mac that is just stuck - and a restart doesn't work.
Does anyone know how I might trouble shoot this issue and how I can help our provider to understand what might be happening on the Mac side?
Any help would be much appreciated.

So it looks like the issue was an untrusted certificate as overnight, all my email is back.
However, any messages that came in during that time can't be filed or even deleted - I see this error:
The message “Re:message subject"” could not be moved to the mailbox “Actioned — [email protected]”
An error occurred while moving messages to mailbox “Actioned — [email protected]”
Does any one know what the problem might be?

I have OS X 10.6.8 and am having trouble with email.

I use AT&T as my Home page and Mail for e-mail. In the past, my Account Type was POP but now it defaults to IMAP and there is no option for POP.
My Mail program now has another Mailbox that lists, Bulk Mail, Deleted Messages, Draft, Sent, and Trash on the bottom of the left column. All emails are being imported From a Yahoo Mail program from AT&T.
The Yahoo program Inbox on AT&T shows some emails and the rest are in its Trash folder; some show read and others show unread. I have spent hours with AT&T support and no one seems to know why they don't stay in the Inbox. I can drag the messages from the Yahoo Trash to its Inbox and they transfer to the Trash Mailbox in Mail mentioned above and not the regulare Inbox. I can then Drag all the messages to the regular Inbox in Mail but they don't stay. They eventually dissappear and reappear in the first Trash mail box. Then, yesterday all the messages were gone from the Trash. Is there a possibly a place I can search and recover the lost messages?
Is there a way to use mail without using a web browser. I.e. AT&T says I have to use the Mail icon on their webite.
I use iPad2 and can receive the through att.net which is POP. But as mentioned above, I no longer have an option to select POP mail when seting up email on my iMax. Will re-installing Mail solve the problem?
Any advice is appreciated. This has been a problem for about a month.
I would like to by-pass the Yahoo Mail on AT&T. Can some one point me in the right direction?

Not sure why it would default to IMAP? But any how, start the account anew, fill in the first page of info, but before clicking on the Create button, hold down the Option key until the Create button changes to read Continue. Click continue, and proceed in a more manual process during which you can set the account type as POP.

The outbox in my email account is continually trying to send causing enormous amount of data usage. 5.62gb in the last 2 days to be exact, any help on this matter would be greatly appreicated. I've deleted my account, did a master reset and after setting everything up again it still is doing this. Any suggestion?

Having trouble with email settings!!

Hello, I want the phone to only check my emails when I want to check the emails! I thought I had changed the appropriate setting to manual but yet I keep getting these long lists of emails on my phone!! I would prefer that I check my emails manually!!! What is the best solution to this minor issue. That I thought I had solved??

I'm having trouble with email access...

I've had my email account set up on my iPhone for just under a year now, suddenly I'm getting a error message that my log in details are incorrect so it will not allow me to send or recieve emails. Although I can still log on a PC with the same email log in details :S I've checked everything is wirtten how it should be but still no email access?
Any advice?
