HAP_DOCUMENT in ERP2004 and ERP2005.

Hi
We are in the process of upgrading our ERP package from ERP2004 to ERP2005. The BSP Application, HAP_DOCUMENT in ERP2005 has got many new "pages with flow logic" like
         1. document_upload.htm
         2. document_upload_inside.htm
         3. document_download.htm
         4. document_create_status_note.htm
         5. document_display_status_note.htm
Can anyone tell me why these pages are used? Is this upgraded HAP_DOCUMENT better than the old one? Any information that you could provide will help me out in deciding whether the hap_document upgrade is necessary or not.
Regards,
Aruna Nivetha.R

All those pages are enhancements to the OSA functionality.. you can  upload an old Appraisal document or download the current document..maintain comments for status chage etc..There is a PDF document in the service market place that details what is new in ERP2005,, try there  ie

  • What is the difference between ERP2004 and SAP 47 Enterprise?

Currently we have SAP 47 Enterprise with WAS 6.2. I understand ERP2004 is NW and 6.4 sp9. Can any one please let me know the major difference between ERP2004 and SAP 4.7 Enterprise ( more from abap / workflow view)?
    Thanks
    Swamy

From Abap point of view some of the major add-on in erp2004,netwever :
    1) Development of webdynpro studio for java development for portal and iviews.
    2) Major abap development uses <b>Abap object oriented</b> methodology, rathet hten old conventional Abap,i.e MVC model (Model,View,Controller) where in it uses concept of classes, interfaces, etc.
    3) Advanced BSP tech using MVC model to develop web based modules
    4) It is closesly integrated with web-based CRM and BW/APO

  • ERP2004 and BI Content landscape question

    Hello,
    Quoting the installation guide :-
"SAP Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW 3.5)
A restriction exists if you wish to operate Business Information Warehouse and ERP Central Component in the same system. In a production environment, this setup can only be supported on a project basis. If you are interested in implementing this setup, contact SAP. Nevertheless, a common client for SAP BW 3.5 and SAP ECC 5.0 is not supported."
Does this mean that on a three suystem landscape you would activate the 3.5 content on DEV and QAS and have a seperate PRO system for ERP2004 and one for PRO BI ??
If yes then how do you deliver conistent configuration transports to the 2 PRO systems ??
    Many thanks in advance.
    Alex

    Hi
you just need to do the integration steps in Box1 use this link for configuring and have the  <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/45/2f76471ca96d7be10000000a114a6b/content.htm">link</a>
Its quite very similar with EP6  integration. you might need some additional  portal content specific to BI in Box2 to operate fully.

  • System copy PRD-- TST (ERP2004) and system source in BW

    Hi,
we have landscape for ERP2004 DEV-TST-PRD and made system copy PRD on TST.
Also landscape for BW+EP, systems BWD-BWP, and source systems TST/PRD are connected to BWD/BWP.
After copy (according to manual, did by consultant) on BWD we have problems with source system on TST, cannot activate with message "BI is unknown in source system".
    Any ideas ?
    best regards,

    Hi Michal,
check if is  set up as an RFC connection in SM59 in R/3.
run also BDLS in R/3 for converting your BW logical system.

  • EP6 -- EP7 ESS and ERP2005

    Hi,
we are planing to migrate from R/3 4.6 HR to ERP2005 HR
On the portal side, we would like to keep the existing HR-Application with Business Package 50.3, i.e Travel (TRIP) and UWL and some more iviews from the package.
Do we have to migrate the portal from EP 6 to EP7 as well or can we keep the Portal EP6 and migrate only the HR Backend from 4.6 to ERP2005?
    Any experience?
    Thanks

Are there any restrictions regarding the ESS-Scenarios? From what I read in the manual, my impression was that there is no difference between the internal scenario (ABAP Stack and Java Stack together) vs. external Portal. From my understanding, it is just the deployement of the ESS business package, that counts? Is this impression true?
    Thanks

  • I need some detail solutions and suggests about below these problems ?

I need some detail solutions and suggests about below these problems:
Problem 1: SAP Management Console cannot start successfully
    • Problem 1.1: Click on SAP Management Console, but yellow light continues for a long period of time.
    • Problem 1.2: In DOS, startsap command cannot start SAP R/3.
    • Problem 1.3: Oracle 9i database automatically shutdown by itself.
    • Problem 1.4: There is very low disk storage left (say less than 50MB) in the hard disk where Oracle 9i database is installed in the server.

    3.1 - If you client copy from client 000, you need to go to SCC4 and set the client to customizing chnages allowed;
3.2 - If you do a client copy from client 800 (the one that SAP delivers data in) you should have data. Client 000 is empty (almost).
3.3 - You should be able to change the password of SAP* PASS user.
I am not sure which version you are dealing with, but ERP2004 and ERP2005 allow you to change the password suring installation.
Also, there is a parameter that can be maintained that allows you to log on as SAP*. If you set as not available, no one can log on.
    Hope it helps,

  • Attaching xlsx files to email with CL_BCS and CL_DOCUMENT_BCS

    Hi
I have made a program that can send an email with attachments from GOS (documents attached to sales orders and invoices). This program works almost perfect. It seems my program can attach any 3 letter file types like DOC, PDF, JPG, AVI, EXE, XLS, but not filetypes with more than 3 letters like XLSX.
    I creeate a document with CL_DOCUMENT_BCS->CREATE_DOCUMENT
I attache the files with CL_DOCUMENT_BCS->add_attachment
and finally i send the email with CL_BCS methodts.
The problem is CL_DOCUMENT_BCS->add_attachment paramter I_ATTACHMENT_TYPE of type SOODK-OBJTP - this data type is only 3 chars.
How can I attach XLSX files whit these methods?
    Best regards

    Hi Thomson,
Thats true ABAP email API does not support 4 chars file types.
Since Office 2007 is released on the market the new extensions (docx, xlsx,...) lead to several questions in the SAP DMS area. So it might happen that Office 2007 applications raise some warning messages because the local copy of an original has only the 'old' extension xls or doc. Even if they were created with Office 2007 and new file formats.
    Reason:
Please note that SAP Document Management generally support the file format of Office 2007. But due to the fact that this change in file format is a very new one and the latest SAP Releases ERP2004 and ERP2005 were released some time before, the customizing field 'Suffix' could not be enlarged to four digits. So it is only possible to maintain suffix values like 'doc' or 'xls' and therefore the 'old' extensions were used if you display or edit an original. For further information please take a look at the SAP note 1147660, which was created by the Office Integration colleagues.
    Possible Solution:
What can be offered to you is a possible workaround, which was sent for this behavior to achieve that the local copied files have a extension like .xlsx or .docx. For this workaround the following steps are necessary:
    1. We have to create new workstation applications for the new file extensions with the mime-types of the new office applications (XLX, WRX and PPX).
    2. We have to customize them with %AUTO% %NO-LEAVE% instead of %SAP-OFFICE-INTEGRATION.OUTPLACE% %MAXSIZE%
    3. We have to use a BADI on BEFORE_CHECKOUT event to determine if workstation application is one of the XLX or WRX or PPX. If it is, we have to set the target temporary file extension to the corresponding 4 characters of the new extensions. This means that we can display "USER01.xlsx", in the user local PC, as a real office 2007 file.
However please note that this is just a possible solution and means to be a modification to the standard system.
Generally, it is recommended to maintain the following settings for working with Office 2007 and the new formats.
u2022 In transaction DC30, maintain the new file extensions (e.g. *.docx) or . as a general file format entry. This will avoid that you cannot add originals with the new file format to your document info records. This is very important if you have implemented SAP notes 948177 and 967839 which bring a tighter file format check into your system.
u2022 Further, test the behavior if you set the 'Do not rename temporary files' flag in transaction DC30. This will lead to the behavior that the file name is not changed if you check out or display the original file. Maybe this could also help to avoid that the original file-name is changed or corrupted.

  • Business Packages question

    Hi,
Can someone tell me if ESS/MSS Business packages are part of a Support Pack Stack?  In other words, are these always implemented outside of a support pack stack or are they also part of a support pack stack level?
    Your help is greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Rick Taylor

    Rick,
Business packages are add-on components on to the portal.
You might want to consider these sap notes for an insight into business packages.

  • Comp and Performance management on erp2004

I am seaking for information if there are new tools in ERP 2004 to implement Perfomance/MBO and comp management on ESS/MSS basis.
If someone experienced in this it would be graete to give me some feedback.

  • ESS ERP2005: total compensation statement and salary statement errors

    Hello everyone,
I am facing two problems with ESS on NW04s J2EE SP10 w. Portal and ERP2005 Backend. Both have been discussed here but some time ago and no sufficient answer has been found so I'd like to do a recap:
    1) Salary Statement (and Time Slip also).
Even if the PAY_SLIP_XY form in hrforms is correct, working within ERP transaction (PY-HF) and customized in IMG HRFOR, the iview producdes the error "<myForm>" not found. When I change <myForm> the change is recognized so obviously the customizing is correct. The same is about Time_Slip forms.
Anyway, can anyone point me to a link to integrate Adobe DS at this point, should I, or isn't this possible yet?
    2) Total Compensation Satement ivew throws an ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException -1. The first few stack trace lines are:
    at com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Record.getString(JCO.java:12778)
        at com.sap.aii.proxy.framework.core.JcoBaseTypeData.getElementValueAsString(JcoBaseTypeData.java:669)

        at com.sap.xss.hr.rep.fcrfw.FcRepFramework.callRfcGetForm(FcRepFramework.java:395)
Restarting the server doesn't help, the server was newly started as the error occured.
Maybe I missed some IMG activity? I went through the Company Compensation Management and added some values to compensation type, the structure is definied, but not sure if this is all.
Pls can anyone help. I'm just implementing the standard BP for the moment, no individual app.
    Regards
    Carsten

    Hi Patrick,
no unfortunately not and as you can see we've got no answers.
But I'm still in the need to fix it. It's not very urgent, but to know the solution would be great.
In general we still have problems with print forms in ESS/MSS webdynpro implementation. The HRFORM is defined and well customized in IMG, so I think this is not the point.
As I pointed out in another post I am confused if Adobe Document Services is needed to render (PDF) print forms since ESS/MSS 600 (for ERP 2005) or what else.
    Do you know?
Did you get other print forms like salary statement working?
I went through the entire post installation procedure regarding Adobe DS but it did  not help.
I always get ther failure "The form  is the form customized for ESS in IMG and the form does exist and is tested within HRFORM transaction.
Except the time slip (and as well total compensation), where we get this "ArrayIndexOutOfBounds" exception.
    Regards
    Carsten

  • E-Recruiting profile transfers and uploads

    Hello,
I wonder if anyone can help me with the following two questions?
    1) Would it be possible to build a transaction or program(s) that would allow us to transfer data on an external candidate's profile to a new internal candidate profile?  A lot of our new employees find it frustrating that they have to re input the data into their internal profiles once they become internal Bruce Power employees.
    2) There is a third party recruiting software system called Executive Centre.  One of the modules in the Executive Centre is called Career Portal (which is very similar to eRecruiting).  Would it be possible to create an upload of data from Career Portal to the internal candidate profiles in eRecruiting?
Thank you in advance for your help
    Sandy Wong

    Hi Sandy,
well I have a few questions. Do you want to transfer this data to the PA profiles in HR or to internal candidates in E-Recruiting?
In the first case I cannot help you, PA infotypes and E-Recruiting is not compatible at all.
But in the last case you can activate the direct movement of the external candidate to an internal ones.
Therefore you need an RFC connection from HR to E-Recruiting. Also the T77S0 switch on HR RECFA DTCBA needs to be set on the RFC-connection.
This shall work if you are on ERP2004 or ERP2005 (HR version).
In this case the hired candidate you hired via PA48 will reset to an internal ones. The external user will be replaced by an internal ones after next ALE transfer.

  • PO (smart forms) after upgrade ERP2005

    Hi,
we`ve got accomplish a UG from ERP2004 to ERP2005 and to be able to do now our purchase order, created in smart forms, no more provide and not print. In SAP-Note 843193 it is described that preconfigured smart forms are available only for erp 2004. We deposited a purchase order form with program SMB40/…. How can we use this now, but with that upgrade all preconfigured smart forms informations was probably lost? The preconfigured smart forms are to be delivered now with the baseline packages. Does that mean that we can prepare the program SMB40 now again with the Best Practices baseline DVD? Is it right and how do we have to proceed?
    Best regards
    Lutz Taubner

If you have old system copy try to copy forms into the new.
