Hash Marks in Field Names

Forgive me but I have forgotten how to do this.
I'm trying to pass the query field name: "Pat #" , which
can't be changed.
<cfset pat_no = '#Pat ##'>
Problem is the hash mark in the field name.
I've tried:
<cfset pat_no = '#Pat #'#''>
but it errors out.

You escape ColdFusion control characters by doubling them. So
your line
should probably be <cfset pat_no = '#Pat ###'>

Your best bet is to alias the field name in SQL before you
start dealing with your recordset in CF. You should be able to
escape the hash using ## instead of #.
If for some reason you can't alias the field name in your SQL
statement, you can output query data in the following format:
QueryName["FieldName"][RowNumber]
I bet you can do something like this:
qMyQuery["Hash##Field"][1]

Hi,
I need to create a form with day, date, month, year and time for 12 months
Instead of coding them 12 times, I create day,date,month,year and time fileds in my form 1 time and then I use cfloop from="1" to="12" index="i" to loop these form fields 12 times.
I gave each form field name such as: <input type="text" name="ScheduleDate_# i #" value=" "> this way each of those field will be named differently such as:
ScheduleDate_1, ScheduleDate_2,ScheduleDate_3, ScheduleTime_1,ScheduleTime_2, etc
I'm facing problem when this form is submitted, I think the error has something to do with the pound sign (##) when it comes to updating the back end

You can't nest hash marks. Do this instead:

Make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

In MB01, after giving the PO number and when the 'Adopt+Details' button is pressed, a new screen opens, in which there is a field 'Reference Doc'.
My doubts on this field are as follows:
1. How to find out the screen field name for that field.

I need to know the master table for RFQ(Request For Quotation) number . The field name is ANFNR . In the T.code ME42, i found that it is using the structure RM06E. But i need to know its corresponding master table

the table EKKO (EKPO Items table) and you can find the Quote number in EBELN field. Don't go by the structure / field name on the screen
Forgot to metnion that you need to use the right document category and the document type.

I am having a screen where i enter a value in a field and that field is a structure field, I would like to know in which table and what field is this value storing?

Hi Satya,
In the field data section (technical information), you can double click on the field name then the system will take you to SE11 (Data Dictionary). From here, you can check whether the field is available in tranparent table or structure.
In general, as naren mentioned sales order header data stored in table VBAK and line item in table VBAP, VBEP, etc.
For request delivery date, it stores in table VBAK-VDATU.

How to programmatically retrieve the real field name from a view object ?

Dear all,
when I map a business component (a database table) to a view, the fields are automatically converted by JDeveloper, for example, a field named 'user_id' in the oracle table definition, becomes 'userid' in the view.
The question: how can I retrieve the right table column name from within a backing bean ? Please explain also what should I bind and how; should I use an iterator ?
Another more: since we can change the label of a field on a view, how can then I get the mapping between the column name on the view and the column name on the table in the database ?

The rest of my question: you know we can drop a view from the DataControls onto a ADF page, with each field of the table having a label.
That label is initially set like the internal table field name, so for instance, if user_id is the real table field name, userid will be the (by JDeveloper) internal renamed table field name, and the label would be userid too.
If I then change the label text to, for example, "myUserid", the question is: how can I know which real table field does "myUserid" point to ?
In other words, when my form is submitted, I want to know which field name has been changed and prepare an update sql in a bean.
For this purpose I bind each view field to a validator function in the bean, and collect al the pairs "label_name + submitted value" in an hash table.
Now inorder to build up that update query, I need the mapping between the label_name ("myUserid") and the real table field name ("user_id"). The question: how to map the label to the real table field name ?
By the way, I'm using JDeveloper 11g rel. 2.

Hash Marks Displayed In Date columns

Hi Experts
I have two date columns in my report.
But when i export this to excel spreadsheet i am getting
Hash Marks Displayed Instead of Dates on few of cells ....
I am really frustrated and tried everything by formatting date using to_char ,to_date in universe and also tried formatting
date in Infoview side.
But whenever i export this , I get ######## instead of dates .
Can anyone please advise ?

1. Fields in excel give ####### values when the column width is not sufficient to show the complete length of values in the cells.
I hope you've tried expanding the column width in excel.
2. Also, what is the source file? Is it a DB table or a BEx query on which you have built the Universe?
Worth checking the format of the date field in the source file.

Problem with XML FCP import - grey hash marks

I have an XML import from FCP and roughly half of the clips have the grey hash marks presumably because the clip is pointing to in and out points that are unavailable in the source file. I've seen these hash marks when a clip was shortened in an external editor, like Audition. Sometimes you will see only half the clip with the hash marks in that case. I suspect the project file is either misinterpreting the framerate of some of the footage (most likely, I think) or the translation from XML is inaccurate. All the source files play fine in the source monitor so I don't suspect a codec problem, but if you look for the in and out points of the selected clip they are often long after the video has ended. Normally if the source clip is offline it appears red.
The other odd thing, not sure if related, is that the audio gain in the clip efffects , which drives the yellow line, is set to -infinity in each which I manually reset to 0.
If anyone has any experience with this problem please share. I can manually slip all these clips to reveal the proper portion of the clip but that will be a tedious process obviously. I would love a global solution.

If this is the case, return to the project in FCP and export and EDL instead of an XML file. You can designate that the EDL include the Clip names or File names for each clip and will let you see them and where they reside in the sequence. Once you have exported the EDL, which is a text file, open it in Text Edit and print it out.

The error you are seeing is normal, all it means is that the list will be truncated meaning you will not be able to see the full list of people in the CC field but you can add more and it will send the message to all of them.

Turn off the 'build tag' hash marks?

We are upgrading to RH7 and have one project with Build Tags.
The tags are 'visible' in the file name in the left panel as
colored hash marks through the file name. This makes reading the
file name difficult. Its visible in both 'view by file name' and
'view by topic name'.
Is there a way to turn off this hash mark feature?

Select the pod.
Click on the View menu option and select Show - Conditional
Areas.
This toggles the conditional hash on or off.
