Having major issues with Amazon App Store on my Passport

I got my Passport earlier this week. I haven't been able to download any apps from the Amazon App Store. Everytime I try to download anything from the Amazon App Store, I get a "download failed" message and a popup saying "There was an error while downloading.... Please try again".
Has anyone else encountered this issue? Please let me know if you did and, more importantly, how this issue is fixed. At this point, I can't download ANYTHING from the Amazon App Store.
I've made phone calls and had live chats with Amazon and they can't help me. Any help I can get here on the forum will be greatly appreciated.

Amazon apps aren't updated as often and are usually behind the most current versions. While it doesn't happen that often I've gotten around the Google Services issue by using Lucky Patcher (there is a thread on CrackBerry about it) to rebuild the apk. It requires a few extra steps but I've only had to do it with a handful of apps.

    Links should not create any problems in Keynote.  If they are set up correctly on text, the text will be underlined. Objects that have links will have a curved arrow bottom right, if you click the arrow a popup will display the link information.
    Try this repair for Keynote,  ensure you complete all the tasks and in the order shown:

    delete all the iWork applications if you have them, not just Keynote, using Appcleaner from Mac Update, its a freeware application

    empty the trash:  Finder > Empty Trash

    Shut down your Mac, wait 30 seconds, then power on the Mac, immediately after the start chime, hold down the Shift key
    When you see the grey Apple symbol and progress indicator (a spinning gear), release the Shift key.
    If you are prompted to log in, type your password, then hold down the Shift key again as you click Log in.

    Let the Mac fully boot up, it will take longer as the OS is repairing the drive

    when fully booted, go to Applications > Utilities > Disc Utility; click on the boot drive then First Aid tab and click  repair disc permissions

    when complete, restart the Mac normally, Apple menu > Restart

    install Keynote from the Mac App Store

  • Issue with the App Store showing up blank.

    Issue with the App Store, it will not let me search for new apps.  The screen is blank.  The update section and features section works, but it will not let me search for new apps. I have restarted my phone and no changes. The newest update to the iphones when the iphone 5 came out, i think, messed up this app.  When i am looking at how to fix it, it tells me to delete it and try again, but the App store is not a deletable app.  Any ideas why my App store, specifically the search section of this app doesn't work?

    I suspect it is on Apple's side of things. Mine was blank too, but now it works again. Fixed itself one morning.

    Having major issues with InDesign CS6. Not only is it crashing, but it is corrupting the existing file.  Then when I relaunch, it is not allowing me to open the file again.
    In another instance, yesterday I opened an file created 3 months ago and it allowed me to make changes, however I could not save them to the existing file, or not even to a new name.
    I had to copy each layer on each page to create a new document.  NOT GOOD!!!

    Yes, I would certainly get the latest update. That we often solve issues like these, for this is not normal. Some further tips would be quite InDesign, then to trash your InDesign preferences and then re-start InDesign (it will rebuild them again). Some further areas to look into would be:
    * Corrupt Font(s) (or corrupt font caches - see below)
    * Corrupt Image(s)
    * Power Failures (power surges)
    * Placing images via drag-and-drop from an Internet page
    * Working on an InDesign file over a network or on a remote server

  • Anyone else having major issues with 1.1.4?

    So I updated to Firmware 1.1.4 a day or two after it came out and I've been having major issues. This is on a phone purchased on launch day that has not been jailbrokened or hacked in anyway.
    Battery life...when the phone actually works, is down drastically. I went from 2.5 days with Bluetooth and Wi-fi on to about 12 hours at one time.
    Wi-fi...when it works, just cuts in and out even when the signal should be all full strength.
    Clock...even though it is set to sync with network time, can be accurate one minute and lags behind as much as 15 minutes.
    I've done numerous restores, both from a backup file and setting the phone up as a new phone. Nothing seems to fix the problem so far. Has anyone else run into these issues and/or know of how to fix it.
    I was contemplating downgrading the firmware to 1.1.3, but I don't believe there is an official way to do it.
    Any input would be appreciated.

    I have exactly the same issues, After the Update the sound quality of my calls dropped drastically! I tought first I got a cold or something like that...but it was not I cannot hear as clearly as I used to before and increasing the volume does not solve anything!
    I also noticed that trsitionning from an application to another and especially using the home button to got to home page is getting slower. I need more time to lose safari and go to emails than before.
    My Memory usage is exactly the same as I havent added anything to my library or so. Aroud 3.5 GB free.
    Anyone with same symptoms?

  • I need help re-installing my OS on a new hard drive. Having MAJOR issues with this simple task.

    I have a MacBook Pro 15" (mid 2009) I recently needed to get a new hard drive for it, the old one stopped working. It came with OS X Snow Leopard already installed from Apple, and it also came with the install disks. I have booted up using the install disks and put OS X Snow Leopard back on the computer.
    I tried booting with a USB install disk of OS X Lion (10.7) but had no luck on multiple occasions. It would only get through the initial step of the install and then say it couldn't download additional components needed for OS X 
    So finally, I decided to try a full erase and reformat of my brand new hard drive (less than a week old) and stated with the basic software that came with the computer. Installing that worked fine, until I tried to do a software update through the built in program. My computer refused to download 10.6.8 from the apple servers, so I had to find it on a 3rd party website. Once I found it and downloaded it, I finally got it installed. There were 12 more updates after I did 10.6.8 and none of them worked when I tried downloading and installing as a group. I had to do each one individually, the last one being a security update.
    Up to this point, the Mac App Store didn't work (even after the 10.6.8 update), I couldn't download any of my previous purchases. I needed to download lion, to see if having it on the Mac hard drive itself would help with the install, but I couldn't do that until after the security update.
    Other than that, the Mac worked normally except for during each start up, the apple logo would flash along with the forbidden sign and the folder with a question mark on it. It flashed for a few seconds randomly, then would boot up normally or say that my computer would need to be restarted.i figured this issue would be fixed after I successfully installed lion.
    FINALLY I got the App Store to download lion, and began the install process. Halfway through the install, it failed and when I tried to restart the computer, it continuously flashes through those three symbols at startup. I can't get it to do anything else. I'm so ****** off I'm ready to just sell it for parts.
    My questions are:
          1. Can I install OS X Lion OR OS X Mountain Lion clean from the start after a full format of the hard drive?
          2. How do I go about installing clean and get my computer to stop flashing those symbols during start up?
    *I have performed the Apple Hardware extended test and all systems are reporting normal function*

    Okay, so, fast forward from July to now -
    - I've visited my closest Apple store's genius bar twice now. (Over an hour and a half away.)
    - My computer spent at least 8 hours behind their closed doors in the workshop
    - Several complete erases of the harddrive have taken place
    - Most of the Apple geniuses I dealt with were nice and very knowledgeable, but they were and still aren't 100% sure exactly what is wrong with my computer.
    The good news is:
    - They were able to at least get it running again, with a clean install from their servers of OS X Lion 10.7.5
    - They believe that my problems stem from either 1 of 2 things:
            - Faulty Hard Drive (even though it is brand new)
             - The wrong build of software being installed.
    Now, while the wrong build does seem like it could be the problem, it doesn't make sense in the aspect that all of the initial problems began when the first hard drive failed. The same problems continued when I changed out the failed hard drive with the brand spanking new one, and only slightly improved when I was able to successfully install the OS that came with the original disks for my computer. I'm not convinced this thing is back to normal, but hopefully I can make it last through getting a shiny new retina Macbook Pro in the coming future.   • Who else is having MAJOR issues with their Droid DNA post 4.4 (KitKat) update??

    I usually don't complain or post much about my phone because problems are generally quickly fixed, but this update is just ridiculous. After updating to KitKat, my phone has the following problems:
    1. Text Messages - I constantly get text message errors. Always get the error that my message is not able to be sent. I have two problems with this. First, I get the error that the message was not able to be sent, but the recipient tells me they get mass spammed the same message 3+ times. Second, sometimes the recipient does not receive the message and it never goes through.
    2. Network connection - Since the update, my phone usually does NOT have any type of connection whatsoever. The status bar shows I have 3G or 4G, but when I go to the internet app or try to use any form of data, I get the No data connection/no network connection error. Also, many times I am unable to receive/place calls.
    2. Battery Life - significantly reduced battery life. This is not too big a deal because I'm assuming the new Android version takes more battery power. I can stomach this.
    Please assist me with this as soon as possible. I'd hate to have to drop Verizon for such a silly issue.

        I'm sorrry to hear you're having so many issues with your Droid DNA after your update pl124. I can understand the frustrations you're experiencing but we are here to help. Have you performed any trouble shooting steps with us regarding the issues you're having? Although I'm unable to fix any of the functionality changes caused by the update, I can help with the issues. Are you using a 3rd party messaging app? If so, its always a good idea to temporarily remove it to see if its causing an issue. We also recommend safe mode, which disables all apps and allows you the opportunity to readd them one at a time to see if that particular one is causing an issue.     Additionally, if you're having issues with missed calls and text, we also recommend a SIM card pull to reconnect your phone back to the towers. Just like rebooting a computer down completely and back up. Where are you located (zipcode)? Are issues with calls and text occuring inside or outside our home? There may be an issue in the area.     The great thing is you always have the chance to download apps from the app store to help with personalization for your ringtones, wallpapers, graphics, and minor functionalities. I know its upsetting to have so many changes after personalizing your phone but we hope the software gave you some benefits. If you continue to have problems, a hard reset is the last step that can usually correct minor issues but will also require a complete reset back to factory settings. Keep us posted and let us know if the phone gets better with some of the steps above. We want you to love your phone again and only change devices because you are ready for the latest and greatest and not because of issues.

  • Having major issues with Adobe Media Encoder (AME) - exporting with weird image flickering/colour anomalies, crashing regularly, freezing during encode...!

    Hi Guys
    I am having some real issues with Adobe Media Encoder (AME) at the moment.  It appears that I am unable to encode an h.264 for Vimeo from a Premiere Pro Project file at the moment without at least some weird image issues that are not supposed to be there.  These include weird flickering, colour changes, artefacts etc.  This is if I am lucky...often I am unable to get the process to complete as the application either crashes and tells me there has been a problem or it simply freezes and I have to force quit the application and often restart my machine.
    The problem seems to not to just be with h.264 for the web encodes but also with BluRay h.264 as well. As yet I haven't seen if there is a problem with MPEG-2 for DVD so I will check this out too!
    Does anyone else see this happening or does anyone know what might be the problem?
    I thought the Premiere Pro project might have been corrupt so tried a different project but the same issues were happening here too.
    Any help would be really gratefully received.

    Agreed, I now have a project to GET OUT, and AME crashes consistently 1/3 into the render. It appears to halt all processing after (real time) 00:02:30
    Am seriously considering uninstalling CC as I am beginning to find other issues in some apps, and going back to CS6/MC just so I can get work out. Durn it Adobe this is AWFUL!!
    Alright, let's try to be constructive instead of throwing rocks... but the frustration level is high, and I have material on deadline. Let's get with this, guys...
    What OS Win7, 64-bit
    What version of AME/PPro (Please be specific by getting the full version number in the About Adobe Media Encoder screen) 8.2.0.54 Ppro: 8.2.0 (65)
    When is it crashing (Again, the more detail here about where it was in the encoding process the better) roughly 1/3 into the sequence, always on exactly the same frame - tried replacing the clip with something different to see if it was a timeline error, and NO EFFECT.
    What is your source (PPro project or media file (what kind?)) PPro
    If the source if a PPro project, does it work when exporting directly from PPro? NO
    What format are you exporting to? H.264, QT, WM, tried everything my client can play.
    Do other formats work? MPEG2, QuickTime, etc? NO
    Have you tried with GPU rendering on? How about turning it off by switching to Software-only mode? Mine doesn't have any choice, it's software-only.
    Have you tried disabling Native Sequence Loading? (AME Preferences: General > Enable Native Sequence Loading) No effect
    Other things I tried: uninstalling/reinstalling AME, setting cache to a fast local disk.

    Has anyone else had issues with the BC App Store?
    Long story short I hope:
    We purchased Client Trainer through the App Store, the app didn't get applied to our account and we waited over an hour before contacting support. Once we contacted support, we were told that the Database on the server had issues and that was the reason why the App wasn't added, but it was now fixed and we needed to the Fresh Install. We logged in and could see that both the Update and Fresh Install buttons where available, we clicked on Fresh Install the OAuth window opened up with the App Name:  Client Trainer (version 1.0.2), App Developer: BC Gurus and Website: which meant to be a live search, we double clicked the input field, nothing happened... Began typing the name of the website... Nothing happened. We then tried a different web browser, nothing happened. We contacted BC support thinking that because it was an OAuth issue to contact them but no, it's not we needed to contact BC App Store support who is owned by BC Gurus. A few emails back and forward between us and support and as I write this post we get another email saying "i have to extend this to Adobe. I should hear back from them early next week. Thank you for your patience.".
    I'm really not happy with the fact that BC App Store is maintained by a 3rd party provider, BC support won't help, BC Gurus can't do anything until Adobe helps them with the issue. I was really looking forward to developing BC Apps, however this has made me not want to develop and I think Adobe need to take over the running of the BC App Store if they want it to take off.

    Thanks for the notes on your issue. I completely understand your frustration and apologize for any inconvenience this is causing your business.
    I have found your tickets and am looking into the issue. I can assure you that we take running the App Store very seriously and have worked hard with Adobe engineering to make the purchase and distribution of apps seamless. You are right that some of the issues that come in have to be resolved in collaboration with BC engineering and that is the case with this issue. I'm not sure why you are not getting any sites in the oAuth window - but I know that we'll be able to resolve that as soon as possible. We're still in the early days of the project and continue to come across edge cases that cause problems. We want these resolved for good.
    In the future, if you could direct all App Store related issues directly to BC App Store support, that will save a step if these types of issues come up in the future. The general retail BC support has little to no connection to the under-workings of the App Store - in these early stages, it's imperative that my team is able to get the issue as soon as possible in order to investigate and escalate to our contacts in BC engineering, if the issue is on their side.
    While I understand your concerns about a 3rd party running the marketplace, I hope that we have been able to prove our business in the BC market over the last 6 years. Not only that, but I think most partners would agree they would rather have BC engineers focused on core platform than operation of the App Store.

    What problems?
    The first thing to do is trash the preferences. As far as affecting Logic 7, once you install 8, 7 is "forgotten" about. I'm assuming your L8 is a real version, not a "borrowed from the interweb" one.

  • I'm having major issues with battery life on my iphone 5 . When I'm on 3G my battery on lat 6 hours . But when I'm on edge network I get almost 8 hours usage and full day stand by . That's a. Major difference. But these phones were built for 3G and LTE .

    The battery only last 6hrs complete with basic normal usage . I tried all the suggestions and nothing was helping. I finally tried switching off the 3G to EDGE and what a major difference in battery life . My phones last more than a day . I got so far 8 hrs usages And 25 hours standby . But that's phones were created to handle lte and 3 g why is it killing the battery life ?? How can I resolve this issue ?

    Thanks for the replies. It took a while not hearing anything so thought I was alone. I have done many of the suggestions already. The key here is that it occurs on both phones with apps, and phones still packaged in a box.
    A Genius Bar supervisor also checked his Verizon data usage log and found the same 6 hour incremental use. Suprisingly, he did not express much intrigue over that. Maybe he did, but did not show it.
    I think the 6 hour incremental usage is the main issue here. I spoke with Verizon (again) and they confirmed that all they do is log exactly when the phone connected to the tower and used data. The time it records is when the usage started. I also found out that the time recorded is GMT.
    What is using data, unsolicited, every 6 hours?
    Why does it change?
    Why does it only happen on the iPhone 5 series and not the 4?
    Since no one from Apple seems to be chiming in on this, and I have not received the promised calls from Apple tech support that the Genius Bar staff said I was suppose to receive, it is starting to feel like something is being swept under the rug.
    I woke up the other day with another thought ... What application would use such large amounts of data? Well ... music, video, sound and pictures of course. Well ... what would someone set automatically that is of any use to them? hmmm ... video, pictures, sound. Is the iPhone 5 succeptible to snooping? Can an app be buried in the IOS that automatically turns on video and sound recording, and send it somewhere ... every 6 hours? Chilling. I noted that the smallest data usage is during the night when nothing is going on, then it peaks during the day. The Genius Bar tech and I looked at each other when I drew this sine wave graph on the log print outs during an appointment ...
