Having problem at displaying RSS Feed

Hi,
I am having problem in displaying the RSS feeds at the Global homepage applet in Single tenant Pod. Are there any special settings required/ or could there be any restrictions? I tested the same in one of the multi-tenant pods and is working fine at the same network. However facing issue in displaying the same at Single tenant pod.

It doesn't show me any error message, it just displays the blank screen. Waited until the complete page loads, however still the same blank screen. When I access the same link in different tab (Not in OnDemand), can see the screen. What could be the problem?

I have got an assignment of developing a HAVi widget to display RSS feeds using the NanoXML parser. I am a beginner in JAVA tv concepts and is stuck with this problem on how to start!

Havi widgets are lightweight components. You could start by creating a Havi widget extending HComponent and overriding paint method. For the initial urpose, try using some dummy text to fill in your widget. You can later experimenting with the XML parser and query it to dislay the actual text you would want to (remember to get rid o the dummy text).

Having problems changing my RSS

Hey everyone, I've been reading on how to change my RSS feed in iTunes. I switched to a new client recently and am still pretty new to any form of coding. So I was wondering if anyone here knew of a simple step by step or video tutorial to do this. Or if they can help themselves that would be fantastic.

The previous feed is the one you find in the iTune store but that client only holds a few episodes, the second feed works in iTunes and can hold a lot more episodes. I mentioned to my listeners and subscribers that the feed is changing but am having trouble migrating the new one in.

You have to insert the following tag into the top section of the feed, between the 'channel' tag and the first 'item' tag:
<itunes:new-feed-url>http://feeds.feedburner.com/PowerUpPodcast</itunes:new-feed-url>
(No line breaks within this.)
I don't know how podomatic works: it very possibly doesn't allow you to access the feed to modify it, and may or may not provide you with a method of adding the tag - probably it would have no interest in helping you to leave it.
If you are unable to add this tag to the feed you are rather stuck, and have only two options. The first is to abandon the old feed altogether. You should get the old podcast removed from the Store - instructions at http://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/specs.html#changing - and submit your new feed as an entirely new podcast. You will probably need to make a small change in the title, as a bug in the Store software may tell you that the podcast has already been submitted: and of course you will lose any subscribers or comments.
The other option is somewhat uncertain. iTunes Support is notoriously unhelpful, often sending back form answers which often don't deal with the actual problem, or referring the questioner to the Discussions Forum (which may have sent the questioner there in the first place): however it has been known for someone to persuade Support to shift their podcast to a new URL, so it's worth trying. It's probably just a matter of luck who you get. To contact iTunes Support, go to http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ - click on 'Other iTunes Store Features' in the list and then on 'Podcasts'.

Display RSS Feed Description of selected Title

Since i'm no programmer, i should be able to make this happen in siena, so thanks for clear explanations in advance. I would like to display the RSS-Feed Titles in one Listbox, and then show the Content (Description) of the selected RSS-Title in the second
Listbox. How would i do this? My best attempt ist the following sting which doesnt work:
rss_1(Filter(Listbox1,SelectedItems!Description))
rss_1 is my RSS Data Source

I found a solution to this Problem (Thanks to @Marcel Spring)
1. Create a gallery (i used a custom gallery)
2. Use a Text Label as Visual
3. Only Show RSS-Title
4. Add Visual HTML Text
5. Use the function <<Gallery3!Selected!description>> In my example, the Gallery3 was the above mentionend custom gallery.

Did Firefox 5 drop the ability to display RSS feeds?

With previous versions of firefox, i could load an rss feed and it would display in the main window, nicely parsed and styled. this functionality seems to have disappeared in firefox 5. load an RSS feed such as http://feeds.nytimes.com/nyt/rss/HomePage and you get an opportunity to create a live bookmark, but the rss/xml is not displayed in the main window. "live bookmarks" still work, but i'd like to see the firefox display the RSS natively without an RSS-reader plugin. Has this feature been intentionally dropped, or is this a bug? or am i missing something?

The button was not used by most people so Mozilla moved it off the location bar.

from a remote location and just display it on my site?

analyser
available in cf admin.

Problems with SDN RSS Feed - part 1

Hi all, this is the first question I have regarding the SDN RSS Feed and it's processing. I have followed Brian's weblog 'RSS = HttpClient + XML + XSLT' (link: /people/brian.mckellar/blog/2004/06/25/bsp-programming-rss-httpclient-xml-xslt). When testing this example I run into a problem when executing the following commands:
node = element->find_from_name( name = 'creator' ).
<blog>-creator = node->get_value( ).
node = element->find_from_name( name = 'date' ).
<blog>-date = node->get_value( ).
Both values seem to be empty resulting in a HTTP_COMMUNICATION_FAILURE. When I comment these lines out the example runs correctly. Checking the actual RSS Feed, http://weblogs.sdn.sap.com/pub/q/weblog_rss_topic?x-topic=24&x-ver=1.0, there are entries for dc:creator and dc:date, so I changed my code accordingly but no success. Having trouble setting up RSS feeds

I am new to Firefox , just switched to a Mac. I have tried to set up my RSS feeds on my sidebar. I am not seeing the option for live bookmarks. I imported the feeds from IE, some a showing twice. I am not seeing highlighted posts for new posts.

Problems with the RSS feed for my podcast

Hi, am very new to this so apologies if this requires a simple solution.
I was told that to find the RSS for my podcast, I hover my cursor over the subscribe button and this will be it. When I do this I get:
itpc://www.jilt.org.uk/publichtml/publichtml/Podcast/rss.xml
I have tried this with itunes and it has been rejected as not working.
Other information that might be useful for anyone trying to help is that my url is www.jilt.org.uk.
I have entered "jilt" as the sitename on Iweb but this doesn't seem to come up anywhere.
Am very confused by it all and would hugely appreciate any advice.

You seem to be uploading to a server that uses a public_html folder as the root folder.
Inside this you have a copy of the public_html folder and, inside this is a copy of your website.
You also appear to have your files uploaded to the public_html folder because your podcast is available here....

So that you don't break the RSS feed what you need to do is this:
Publish the site to a local folder and you should get an index.html file and a folder named "jilt".
Upload these to the top level public_html folder. Now open the site in the browser and hover over the "Subscribe" button to get the feed's URL.

X3 02 Having problem with display

I tried to download a file from nokia website and all of a sudden my X3 02 is having display problem. it is flickering and very hazy. Can someone help me out.

Do you mean an application from the OVI Store ? If so did you install it after downloading ? Un-install that application in that case and see if the problem goes away..

Since I upgraded FireFox to 3.6 the majority of my websites are having problems correctly displaying information. This is not happening in Chrome, Safari or IE8.

The new version of Firefox appears to have display problems on both input fields and control button fields. The wording and button are completely out of alignment

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Use the "code" formatting tags when posting code so the code retains its original formatting.
I didn't really look at your code but this type of problem is usually caused by executing a long running task in the Event Thread. Therefore the GUI can't repaint itself until the long running task is finished. Solution is to create a separate thread for the long running task.

Having problem in displaying the word doc

i am searching for text in local files by taking as inpt.i am getting the result like in 1st line requested srtring
2nd line whre it occured in text and
3rd line with hyper link
when i click hyper link here i am able see the text file. so i have placed word doc too in my input.here i a getting first and 2nd line fine. when click the 3rd line (hyper link) it is not showing the out put properley.it is not displaying tables and screens.can we open the word file directley?

Take it to an Apple Store for evaluation. If manufacturing problem, you'll get a replacement if still within 1 year warranty. If there's any evidence of dropping, you'll have to pay for repairs.
If out of warranty or you dropped it, here's an alternative.
