Header and Navigation bar not showing in IE browser

Hello there!
My headers and navigation bar are not showing up when I view in IE, although they do show up when I view the live design in Dreamweaver. They also display properly in Chrome. Any thoughts?

Navigation bar not showing in IE browser?!!

The navigation bar is not showing in Internet Explorer at all! It is just fine, of course, in Safari.
Firefox shows the nav bar but in two lines, and another info box appears for a second then vanishes.

IE won't show your navigation if the user has Java turned off.
You need to hide the standard iWeb navigation and create your own....

You are using the "Darkroom" template and your navigation box is offset to the left - probably because you extended the page width beyond the default.
This template has its problems and slows the download speed of your website.

Navigation bar not showing images

I'm still new to app express and I'm sure I'm missing something. I understand how nav bar images are supposed to appear, however, I'm not seeing it displayed in the application. I'm using one of the built-in templates (#3 Business), with One Level Tabs. When I create my nav bar entry, I include the image filename (located at the default image location) but I never see the image in the application. Any idea what I could be missing? Or is it possible that this built-in template doesn't show images on the nav bar?
How can I see exactly what the variable #NAVIGATION_BAR# contains?

If you navigate to your page and click on the word 'Templates' you will see all installed Templates.
Select the 'One Level Tabs' component and scroll halfway down to the 'Navigation Bar' and 'Navigation Bar Entry' fields.
It looks as though that particular page template refers to a CSS type that doesn't contain an image - #TEXT# - this can however be changed by overriding the style in a custom style sheet.

Header and footer does not strech 100% in browser.

I cannot get header and footer to strech 100% in my browser. I started having problems after installing the November 21st update. What can I do to remedy this problem? Thank you for any help.

Aggregator project and navigation bar not aligned

The navigation bar is cut off in the Aggregator project. It seems the entire slide is moved down as there is also white space at the top of the page. I have set the table of contents in the individual projects and set them to not stretch. I have also tried setting the TOC to stretched but with each the navigator bar gets cut in half in the Aggregator project. How do I ensure these align correctly.

I had this issue too. What I discovered was that some of the slides in one of my presentations were off the screen. Some because I had dropped pictures onto a blank slide, and others because I switched background images on recorded slides and didn't merge the images into the existing background. After fixing those issues and republishing, I put the revised .swf into the aggregator and it worked.

IWeb - Main Navigation bar not showing up in Safari

After publishing my site to a folder and uploading to the net the navigation menu is no where to be found. Yet when I publish to a folder and click on the "view site now" button everything looks normal - anyone else have this problem

when you upload to your host, ensure that you are uploading ALL files including the ones that you think are irrelevant. Grab the whole folder and uploaded it, rather than its contents only.

Navigation Bars not working as expected...

We have 7 different roles with a different page look and feel
for each role.
Based on each role, portlet layouts and page contents will be
different.
We need to drive tabs and pages based on these roles...How do we
do that?
The second, related part of the problem is creating navigation
bars based on those user roles. We have pretty much a static set
of navigation bars to show. But, since there are 7 different
pages, we need to know how to point the links within
each "navigation button" to the current page, showing the
contents of the link INSIDE the current page.

I can't suggest anything other than the features you're already
aware of. You can have different tabs on a page with different
privileges on each tab - users will only see the tabs for which
they are authorized. Similarly, users will only see the
portlets for which they are authorized. If those security
features don't work for you, then the next release of Portal
(iASV2) will support function-based security, where you can
write a procedural rule that executes at run time.
The portalstudio link doesn't work, so I'm not sure what you're
referring to.

I had same problem last night with a movie rental not showing up under the 'Rented' tab in iTunes/Movies on my iMac: as I had no other rentals, there was no 'Rented' tab at all.
In iTunes 11, the Downloads icon only appears next to the Search bar while there is an active download. Once any downloads are finished, the icon disappears. I had no icon so I had to assume the downloading had finished (in the previous UI you could check download progress even after they had finished).
My movie rental did, however, show up under 'Rented Movies' under the 'Movies' tab in iTunes/Devices/(select any i/device) so I knew it was somewhere in my iTunes. Yet, we couldn't access it via Apple TV.
I fiddle around for a bit, restarting iTunes, restarting the iMac, to no avail. Then I did a little housekeeping and moved a different movie I'd imported awhile ago, from the 'Home Videos' tab under iTunes/Movies. Under File/Get Info, the 'Media Kind' was incorrectly set to 'Home Video' so I changed it to 'Movie'. Thus the file was moved over into the Movies tab. Hey Presto! The Rented tab suddenly showed up, and there was my rented movie!
This is the second time a movie rental did not show up after downloading. Unfortunately my husband initiated the download so we figured he must've messed up somehow as he's not as familiar with iTunes as me. Hence we opted to download the movie under a different iTunes account, which worked the second time with no problem. Needless to say the invoice for the original download had no problem in finding us, hence we were effectively being charged twice for the same movie! We have to contact apple support (such a hassle) but hopefully they will understand the issue (that's the difficult bit) and they are usually good at refunding when they finally accept the customer is genuine in their claim.
In case anyone is tempted to critique my method, we download rentals through iTune on our computer as we had too many problems trying to rent via Apple TV. Often the movie was not available to watch for many hours after it was rented, even though we'd start 'download' halfway through the day and sit down at night to watch it! We have also had problems with movies that kept stopping during viewing because it wasn't streaming fast enough. We'd give some time and come back to viewing, only to encounter the same. One time we gave gave up and tried again the next evening, only to find the movie expired. There is meant to be 48 hours after you've started viewing to resume watching a movie. Apple's only response to this was to advise we needed a broadband internet connection to stream the movie - this was despite me already telling them we have broadband.
Anyway, I hope this helps anyone experiencing similar issues with movie downloads.

Have you tried the standard fixes:
- Reset:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore the iPod from backup via iTunes
- Restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod.
If still problem you likely have a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genus Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Tab navigation does not show at all in FP 10 it shows in FP9

Hi,
I have module that is loaded at runtime,
it has simple tab navigation with 3 children,
in FlashPlaer 9 Debug, tab navigation shows fine, even
thought for some reason it looks like linkbar :)
also numericStepper looks like inputBox and ComboBox has no
arrow, (they all look fine in FB 3.2)
in Flash player 10 tab navigation does not show at all, is
there any obvious thing that I am missing ?
I am guessing something terribly wrong with flex styles, but
I am not overriding any styles,
my environment :
vindows Vista 64 bit (although I use jvm 32)
project is build with latest flex sdk :flex_sdk_3.3.0.4589
P.S: I cant attach image here, so I will record video

I purchased Lion on the app program but that did not seem to update my software or my operating system. Curious. It showed up on my menu bar saying it was downloading then disappeared. I can't seem to find it anywhere. Suggestions where I should look to make sure it is installed (which clearly it isn't)

Combined logo and navigation bar

Is it considered to be poor layout to combine the company
logo and navigation bar in the same image? I have created this
image in Fireworks 8 as a jpeg to keep the gradients looking good
for both the logo and navbar, but am not sure if it makes the page
load any slower by having them in the same image? I do have
rollover buttons on the navbar so I do have to export it as
‘HTML and images’ w/slices. I do find it easier to
setup in Dreamweaver if they are together but could separate them
with some extra work. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.

I installed Firefox 4 and the Orange App button plus the reload and stop are not showing.

You see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox button if the Menu Bar is hidden, so you need to hide the Menu bar to get the new appearance.<br />
If you need to access the hidden Menu bar then press F10 or hold down the Alt key to make the Menu Bar appear temporarily.<br />
You can also place the Tab Bar on top.
* View > Toolbars : [ ] Menu Bar
* View > Toolbars : [X] Tabs on Top
Firefox 4 uses a combined Stop/Reload/Go button that is positioned at the right end of the location bar.<br />
During the page load process it shows as a Stop button and after the loading has finished the button is changed to a Reload button.<br />
If you type in the location bar then that button becomes a Go button.<br />
You can middle-click that Reload button to duplicate the current tab to a new tab.
To move the Stop and Reload buttons to their position to the left of the location bar you can use these steps:
* Open the "View > Toolbars > Customize" window to move the Stop and Reload button out of the location bar.
* Drag the Reload and Stop buttons to their previous position to the left of the location bar.
* Set the order to "Reload - Stop" to get a combined "Reload/Stop" button.
* Set the order to "Stop - Reload" or separate them otherwise to get two distinct buttons.
