Header price into revenue account posting

Hello,
We have a condition type with calculation type is set as FIXED VALUE and relevant for header condition. When we insert the price in document header for header condition type, system automatically replicates/split the price into line item wise and during revenue account postings, system post the value for each line item instead the header price, example - PRICE IN BILLING DOCUMENT
Header Price: Stamp Value: 100 USD
Line Itme 1:
Quantity: 1
Basic Price : 200
Stamp Value : 50
Line Item 2:
Quantity: 1
Basic Price : 200
Stamp Value : 50
Revenue Account Posting -
Customer 500 Dr
Revenue Line 1: 200 Cr
Stamp value: 50 Cr
Revenue Line 2: 200 Cr
Stamp Value: 50 Cr
However we need the value in revenue account posting as below -
Customer 500 Dr
Stamp value: 100 Cr
Revenue Line 1: 200 Cr
Revenue Line 2: 200 Cr
Please suggest
Best Regards,
Goutham

Hello Goutham,
if I understood well your requirement:
2 billing items with 2 materials, every item has Price condition and Stamp value condition.
You want in FI document the 2 Price conditions separated, creating 2 FI lines.
Whilst the 2 Stamp conditions joined in 1 FI line.
In the standard, SD passes to FI one line for every condition of every item (+ customer line).
Then in FI side the lines are summairzed, or not, depending on setting in OBCY.
If in OBCY there is only the line ''  '' then system does not summarize the lines with different materials.
So in the standard there is not a solution for your requirement (as both Price line and Stamp value line have material).
The lonely possibility is to clear the material in the lines referred to Stamp value condition, and leave the material in the others.
In this way only the Stamp value lines will be summarized.
This can be done by one of userexits mentioned in note [301077|https://bosap-support.wdf.sap.corp/sap/support/notes/301077].
Consider theis would be a modification, and so it is not supported by SAP.
Best regards,
Ivano.

  • Posting Ar-invoice with 2 revenue accounts

    Hello experts,
my client would like when posting an AR invoice to withhold a given amount out of the unit price and post it in a separate revenue account.that amount is multiplied by the quantity as well. (basically the ARinvoice should post into 2 revenue accounts)
Ex: qty=10, unit price=1000, amount to withhold by qty:20
    revenue account no 1= 980*10=9800
    revenue account no 2=20*10=200
Can anyone help with this please?

  • Inital posting to a revenue account

    Hello Gurus,
How do I populate the values in the revenue accounts that are plugged in the access sequences in VKOA before Go-Live. My concern and confusion is that these accounts are plugged in VKOA so ideally they should get populated via some trigger. If I try to post a journal entry directly, then I get the error ,'Enter true account assignment'.
For example, when the question of populating trade receivables domestic account (recon account in customer) came up, that account will get populated automatically when we upload open AR balances.
But in case of revenue account, I am not sure what exactly needs to be done.
    Any suggestion/advice
    Thanks
Edited by: SB on Sep 17, 2008 9:46 AM

The revenue accounts (for that matter all GL accounts) will be updated when the GL balances are uploaded before Go-Live. Normally from FI side four types of opening balances will be uploaded before going live.
    1) Customer balances
    2) Vendor balances
    3) GL Account balances (which includes excise opening balances)
    4) Asset balances

  • Posting to revenue account of another company code

    Hello,
Can anyone guide me if we can attach a revenue account of another company code to our conditons, as in if any revenue has to be charged to tenant but posted to a sister company code under same chart of accounts through our contract conditions??
    Veena

    Hi Severina,
I saw the settings in replace account symbol. I wanted to know if someone can help me understand better, since my understanding is as below.
Since if there are two active companies and the user posts in company code A, the sytem recognizes that we are running a periodc posting in cc-A and need to post in rev acc X (in cc-A).
Then when we run for cc-B, system would recognize the PP is in ccode-B and help us post in rev acc X in cc-B.
But can my contract in CC-A, have a condition which will post to account X in cc-B, i dont see a config setting where this cross correspondence happens.
Business case : We may have a levy (revenue) of some sort is charged by company code "A" to their tenant and posted via cc-A contract to revenue account of cc-B. I dont think this is doable.
All Experts, any experience please advice.
    Thanks

  • I have a macbook pro version 10.7.5 and my mailbox will not open at all and comes up with a quit message even though it is not open. how can i get into my account. it works on my iPhone an i have internet and all other functions working on my computer

I have a macbook pro version 10.7.5 and my mailbox will not open at all and comes up with a quit message even though it is not open. how can i get into my account. it works on my iPhone and i have internet and all other functions working on my computer

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
Enter the name of the crashed application or process in the Filter text field. Select the messages from the time of the last crash, if any. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
    Step 2
In the Console window, look under User Diagnostic Reports (not "Diagnostic and Usage Messages") for crash reports related to the crashed process. The report name starts with the name of the process, and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report and post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot. I know the report is long. Please post all of it anyway.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report—they're very long and rarely helpful.

  • Revenue Account Determination based on Sales Order Document Type & Service Order Type

    Hi Expert,
I have Customer Service Module with Resource Related Billing for services attached with SD.
When DP90 runs sales document debit memo request is created & then debt memo is created.
I need to configure Revenue Account Determination based on Sales Order Type and also based on Service Order Type.
I did not see any field catalogue in revenue account determination for order type, For communication structure KOMKCV Header and KOMPCV Item level there is no field for sales order type nor service order type.
Is it possible to bring in both order types? Can ABAP person do it?
    How to bring these fields?
Is it possible & recommendd to have service order type filed AURAT for service order into this sturcture?
Is this configuration is OK acceptable by SAP? If so is there any chnace for issues errors & wrong determination from FI CO view?
Your valued input is highly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Prakash Parikh

    Hi Prakash,
Yes, you can certainly add new table fields into the field catalog KOMKCV and KOMPCV and use it during account determination. You will also have to add these new fields in the user exit RV60AFZZ for it to work. I believe you will need ABAPer's help to make this work. The abaper will have to crate a ZZFIELD (ZZAUART for example) and put it in the structure and use the same in the user exit to pass the values.
In your case, what I am not sure is, are you looking to modify the existing standard tables or creating new ones. My suggestion is to create the new condition tables with these new fields (like document type) after adding it to the field catalog. Only modify the access sequence (KOFI) in such a way that your new tables are access first before it goes into standard tables (or you can adjust it according to your scenario.
We have done it in our company and it is working fine. Basically what we have done is to create new tables instead of modifying the standard ones. We have adjusted the access sequence in such a way that some of our custom tables are accessed first before the standard SAP tables (C001 to C005).
I found a similar requirement on SCN. This might help.
Adding New Field in Account Determination
    Hope this helps.

  • Account posting for the GR of subcontract PO

    Hi experts;
We have a special requirement about the account posting for the GR of subcontract PO, 3POP process is used here means we create the SO, PR is created automatically. then convert to PO (Account assignment 'E', subcontract PO) . Basically now when the account document is created upon GR of the PO (101 E for FGI, 543 O for Component), the posting is like below:
Itm PK CoCd Account  Account short text     Amount in LC LCurr         Amount Crcy      LC2 amount Trs
        1 89 1000 792000   Finished goods inven        100.00  EUR          100.00  EUR                  BSX
        2 96 1000 191100   Goods Rcvd/Invoice R         90.00- EUR           90.00- EUR                  WRX
        3 91 1000 893010   Cost of goods sold          100.00- EUR          100.00- EUR                  BSV
        4 86 1000 417001   Purchased services           90.00  EUR           90.00  EUR                  FRL
        5 99 1000 300000   Inventory - Raw Mate         20.00- EUR           20.00- EUR                  BSX
        6 81 1000 400020   Raw materials consum         20.00  EUR           20.00  EUR                  GBB
Then the requirement is that the line item 3,4 should be combined together and 10.00- value posted. (Maybe then the transaction is BSV or PRD?)
Anybody know how to fit this gap? kindly telll me. Appreciate!
Hoping for a positive & prompt response

    Hi Gaito,
Thanks! but this configuration is not the right one. This is for the different posting like below. But can't conbine BSV and FRL into together.
    Posting schema without price differences:
    Stock account FERT : 400 +
    Stock change : 400 -
    GR/IR clearing acct : 250 -
    External service acct : 250 +
    Compon. stock account : 100 -
    Consumption account : 100 +
    Posting schema with price differences:
    Stock account FERT : 400 +
    Stock change : 350 -
    Price difference :  50 -
    GR/IR clearing acct : 250 -

  • Unbilled Receivable and Unearned Revenue Accounts

We are using expenditure items for generating revenue and then for billing.
When we generate revenue, the entry is: Revenue Cr to Unbilled Receivables Dr
When we generate Invoice, the entry is: Unbilled Receivables Cr to Receivables Dr, which is file
If we cancel above invoice for some reason and again process invoice, then entry is: Unearned Revenue Cr to Receivables Dr
Due to this, we are having Unbilled Receivables & Unearned Revenue balance in the system (though the amount in both accounts is same & it nullfies, it is not correct representation). Ideally, when we regenerated invoice, the entry should have been: Unbilled Receivables Cr to Receivables Dr
Let us know why the system is bringing Unearned Revenue account in picture in this case.
    Regards,
    Ketan

    Ketan,
Let me see if I understand what you are saying. You have generated the draft invoice and interfaced it to Accounts Receivable, correct? That part is working okay, it looks like.
How are you cancelling the invoice? Are you doing that in Project Billing? Is it correct to assume that you are doing the "Cancel a released invoice" process, rather than the "Write off an invoice" process? Cancelling an invoice will create a credit memo for the entire amount of the canceled invoice (at least in R11, which is what I am on - you did not mention what version you are on). Did you get the credit memo generated and posted? If so, what was the resulting entry for that credit memo? That is what you need to focus on first, I thiink. If that entry is Unearned Revenue Debit and Receivables Credit, then it does make sense that when you regenerate the invoice, the entry would be Receivables Debit and Unearned Revenue Credit.
I am guessing here is how the Oracle designers were thinking. Again I am guessing. And I am not saying I agree/disagree with such thinking. I think the idea is that it is not going to be unbilled receivables now because you had billed the revenue at least one time. After all, the cancellation technically does not undo the billed invoice - it merely creates a credit memo. The revenue had already been generated, so the Revenue account does not come into play. So, if not unbilled receivable, and you don't touch revenue, by default that leaves the unearned revenue account to hit.
Now, like you, I would think Unbilled Receivables would be the better account to hit. It could be possible that you have run across a program bug here. So here is my thought process -
    1. What was the journal entry generated by the invoice cancel?
    2. Is the journal entry generated by the invoice regeneration not the reversal (in effect) of the credit memo entry?
    3. If those two entries are not offset, I would log a service request with Oracle support. Either they have a bug or they have a design flaw. Of course if a design flaw, then you are stuck. You would have to enter an enhancement request to get Oracle to change the process.
    4. However, if those two entries do offset, and it sounds like they do, then you have a system that seems to be working as designed. In that case you need to submit an enhancement request to have Oracle change its current process.
    Does this make sense?

  • Freight account posting.

I have a created a PO with std price + Freight. When i post GR for the above PO std price & freight are posting into same account i.e stock account. I want freight alone to be posted to seperate account. Is it possible ? how to acheive it?

    Hi
If you need the Freight cost to post into a sperate account you need to Maintain the accrual flag  for the Conditon type in M/06 & In the Pricing Procedure maintain the Accrual key for the Condition type in M/08.
At the time of GR the Freight amount is accrued into this account.Maintain the G/L account for the Accrual key in Transaction OBYC

  • Why do we need account key in SD revenue account determination?

    Hi,
Why do we need account keys in SD pricing procedure and revenue account determination? If we dont use account keys wht will be the problem in priding procedure and revenue account determination?

    hello, friend.
account keys allow you more flexibility in assigning revenues, costs and other financial data to different GL accounts.
let us take, for example, surcharges and discounts.  surcharges are extras charged to the customer for maybe freight, penalties and other services.  discounts could be header or item related, and can take many forms (volume discounts, customer discounts, customer group discounts, etc.).
in SAP standard, condition types in pricing procedures that are surcharges (i.e. freight)  are assigned to account key ERF.  discounts are assigned ERS.  when you do account determination, it can look like this:
condition type KF00 (freight), account key ERF, post to GL account 600010.
condition type K007 (discount), account key ERS, post to GL account 700010.
however, your company might want the different surcharges to be posted to different GL accounts.  let us say your company wants you to define additional freight surcharges KF01 and KF02.  the company also wants you to post these to separate GL accounts.  so now, you define additional account keys ZF1 and ZF2.   you then assign these to the condition types in the pricing procedure, and then do account determination as follow:
condition type KF01, account key ZF1, post to GL account 600020.
condition type KF02, account key ZF2, post to GL account 600030.
these are just some impact of account keys.
    hope this helped you.
    regards.
