Revenue Account Determination based on Sales Order Document Type & Service Order Type
Hi Expert,
I have Customer Service Module with Resource Related Billing for services attached with SD.
When DP90 runs sales document debit memo request is created & then debt memo is created.
I need to configure Revenue Account Determination based on Sales Order Type and also based on Service Order Type.
I did not see any field catalogue in revenue account determination for order type, For communication structure KOMKCV Header and KOMPCV Item level there is no field for sales order type nor service order type.
Is it possible to bring in both order types? Can ABAP person do it?
How to bring these fields?
Is it possible & recommendd to have service order type filed AURAT for service order into this sturcture?
Is this configuration is OK acceptable by SAP? If so is there any chnace for issues errors & wrong determination from FI CO view?
Your valued input is highly appreciated.
Thanks
Prakash Parikh
Hi Prakash,
Yes, you can certainly add new table fields into the field catalog KOMKCV and KOMPCV and use it during account determination. You will also have to add these new fields in the user exit RV60AFZZ for it to work. I believe you will need ABAPer's help to make this work. The abaper will have to crate a ZZFIELD (ZZAUART for example) and put it in the structure and use the same in the user exit to pass the values.
In your case, what I am not sure is, are you looking to modify the existing standard tables or creating new ones. My suggestion is to create the new condition tables with these new fields (like document type) after adding it to the field catalog. Only modify the access sequence (KOFI) in such a way that your new tables are access first before it goes into standard tables (or you can adjust it according to your scenario.
We have done it in our company and it is working fine. Basically what we have done is to create new tables instead of modifying the standard ones. We have adjusted the access sequence in such a way that some of our custom tables are accessed first before the standard SAP tables (C001 to C005).
I found a similar requirement on SCN. This might help.
Adding New Field in Account Determination
Hope this helps.

Account determination error in sales order
Dear all,
Please help. Trying to release a billing document to accounting. Getting the error:
Document 90000004 saved (error in account determination)
Message no. VF051
While analysing: going to Environment - Accnt determination analysis - Revenue accounts :- no condition types are coming under the procedure KOFI000. Checked settings in vkoa. All G/L accounts are mapped. There are invoices of the same document type, with the same condition types in production with correct account determination.
On further analysis, found that no condition types are coming not determined in the sales orders. Yet there is no incompletion log. Quite baffled. The users are punching in cut over sales orders into production. Please help me rectify the situation.

Account Determination Procedure in Sales Order
Hi All,
I have a problem regarding account determination procedure in sales order.
When I create a new sales document, and go to menu Environment --> Analysis --> Account Determination, the information about the procedure is blank.
For your information, I already assign this sales document type to a billing type.
This billing type also already has an account determination procedure, which is KOFI00.
The G/L Account in VKOA also already been set up for the combination of Condition Type - Chart of Acct - Sales Org - Account Assignment Category in Customer and Material - Account Key.
But every time I create a new sales order, I cannot get the account determination procedure.
Anyone can please help me to solve this problem?
Thank you in advanceHi Surya,
Have you assigned Billing type For Ex: F2 or F1 to respective Sales Order Type in Sales Document Type controls VOV8.
Assign these F2 against Delivery Related billing and F1 is for Order Related billing.
Assign KOFI0000 to respective Billing Types F2 and F1.
And check, hope issue may resolve.
Revert if u have any query.

Account determination analysis in sales order
Hi there,
in a sales order processing (VA02/VA03) I'd like to know which accounts will be determined prior to invoincing it.
I find the "account determination analysis" tool through the menù path: "Environment" -> "Analysis" -> "Account Determination" (FCODE = 'KTPR'), but it shows an empty screen
The same tool shows the desired data during an invoice processing (VF02/VF03).
How can do to see the account determination analysis in sales order processing, and not in invoice processing ?
This tool shows an empty screen even if the order is invoiced, or not.
So I'm asking: which is the meaning of this tool inside sales order processing ?
Hope I've explained correctly my problem.
Thanks in advance.
AndreaHi Nagaraj,
the sales order amount is > 0, but the account determination analysis tool still show me an empty screen
It seems this tool runs only into invoice processing.
I try to follow the ABAP debugger and at a certain point it uses the "account determination procedure" (KOFI00), that in the sales order is missing ... maybe this is the problem ...
Best regards

G/L Account and Revenue Account determination
Hi all,
What is the difference between G/L Account determination and Revenue Account determination?
How to configure them?
Regards,
AjitHi,
The account keys ERL , ERS, DIFF which are related to revenue and sales deduction in your pricing procedure are defined in transaction VKOA. Here the account key, chart of accounts, your sales organization and G/L accnt combination are maintained.
Whereas all the tax codes G/L accounts get picked from transaction OB40 , So in your pricing procedure where ever you see tax account keys, make sure you go to OB40, input your tax code and then you will see all the G/L accounts against each respective account key. This is nothing but the calculation of tax on sales / purchases.
Alternatively you can check transaction FTXP based on chart of accounts and tax code which proposes automatic G/L accounts configured by FI consultants
Hope this will solve your query.
If it does, please dont forget to reward points for contribution.

Account determination for cash sale
Hi, sapcons
please can any body can help me by sending step by step notes on account determination for cash sales and rush orders
my mail id is [email protected]
thanks in advance
regards
srinivasHi Srinivas,
Account Determination for Cash Sale and Rush Order will be done in VKOA Transaction.
Please find below the Process of Cash Sale and Rush Order
CASH SALE:
Cash sales is an order type for when the customer orders, picks up and pays for the goods immediately. The delivery is processed as soon as the order has been entered. A cash invoice can be printed immediately from the order and billing is related to the order. Receivables do not occur for the customer as they do for rush or standard orders, because the invoice amount is posted directly to a cash account.
Process Flow
In the standard system, sales document type BV is saved for cash sales with immediate delivery type BV.
When the sales employee creates a cash sale, the system automatically proposes the current date as the date for delivery and billing. Once the order has been posted, a delivery with type BV is created immediately in the background and the system prints a document that is used as an invoice for the customer.
The invoice papers are controlled with output type RD03, contained in the output determination procedure for order type BV.
For Cash Sales the necessary Config Settings are,
Copy the BV Standard Order and Copy to ZBV and in the functionality of ZBV check whether the field " Immediate Delivery" has the value "X" or not because that creates the Delivery immediately when the cash sale order saved. Do the same for item category BVN as ZBVN. And check whether credit active unchecked or not in ZBVN.
Do the item category determination for cash sale for which u configured. And at the time of cash sale u will get the invoice. For that u use the output type Rd03.
RUSH ORDERS:
In a rush order transaction, the customer picks up the goods or you deliver the goods on the same day as the order is placed. In the standard system, when you save this sales document type, a delivery is automatically created and billing is related to the delivery.
Process Flow
In the standard system, sales document type SO is saved for rush orders with immediate delivery type LF. Once the goods have been removed from storage, the goods are picked, and goods issue is posted.
Once the billing documents are created (for example, in collective processing), invoice papers are printed and sent to the customer.
For Rush Order the necessary Config Settings are,
Copy the RO Standard Order and Copy to ZRO and in the functionality of ZRO check whether the field " Immediate Delivery" has the value "X" or not because that creates the Delivery immediately when the cash sale order saved. Do the same for item category TAN as ZTAN. Do the item category determination for cash sale for which u configured. And check whether credit active checked or not in ZTAN.
Please Reward If Really Helpful,
Thanks and Regards,

Revenue Account Determination in MM
Hi all,
Can i know the path for configuring Revenue Account determination in MM.
Regards,
Ramaswamy.Dear,
This is how Account determination done in MM,
Movement types have key role as central account determination in MM side.
This account determination is for MM settings u2013 group RMK.
Account determination is based for combination of valuation grouping code, general modifier/account modifier, valuation class in SAP MM.
This will be defined for particular transaction event key. Transaction event key will inturn be defined for each movement type of SAP MM.
Basically GL account are assigned for certain combination of above. To put down in flowchart format-
SAP RMK group (MM)
Movement type-
Transaction event key-
GL account determination (one debit and one credit)- based on below combination
Valuation Grouping code/ Valuation Modification -- Tcode: OMWD
Account modifier -- Tcode: OMSK
Valuation class -- Tcode: OMWN
SAP will see transaction is made in MM, it searches the transaction event key from movement types. Based on valuation grouping code, account modifier and valuation class, determination will be done for GL account for debit and credit.
and concern G/L Account assigned in TCODE- OBYC
Need further clarification revert back.
Dear atleast putup a thanks in responce to people efforts before closing the issue

<b>Why Material Account Assignment Group Important? Because at my clients place without maintaining Material Account Assignment Group they are able to determine the Revenue Account. They needs to know what is the advantage if they use Material Account Assignment Group. Can anybody help.</b>
See the reson behind maintaining Account Assigment Gp for material is to post the Revenue of Different on the Basis of Material Type .
Let say if u want the transaction related to Raw Material to be posted in different account than that of Semi Finished goods ,Finished Goods & Trading Goods for same Customer.
Account Determination Based on Account Key + Customer Account Assignmnet Gp + Material Account Assignmnet Gp .
So if the Accounting Key Say for Revenue account it is ERL and customer is same suppose 20003738 then if u want to post the Amount for Raw material , Semifinished, Finished goods and Trading Goods in different account then only option left is to maitained diffrerent Material Account assignment Gp and on the basis of Different combination u can very well post the Revenue in different account and Track the same.
Hope this clarify
U can go for it . -
Why do we need account key in SD revenue account determination?
Hi,
Why do we need account keys in SD pricing procedure and revenue account determination? If we dont use account keys wht will be the problem in priding procedure and revenue account determination?hello, friend.
account keys allow you more flexibility in assigning revenues, costs and other financial data to different GL accounts.
let us take, for example, surcharges and discounts. surcharges are extras charged to the customer for maybe freight, penalties and other services. discounts could be header or item related, and can take many forms (volume discounts, customer discounts, customer group discounts, etc.).
in SAP standard, condition types in pricing procedures that are surcharges (i.e. freight) are assigned to account key ERF. discounts are assigned ERS. when you do account determination, it can look like this:
condition type KF00 (freight), account key ERF, post to GL account 600010.
condition type K007 (discount), account key ERS, post to GL account 700010.
however, your company might want the different surcharges to be posted to different GL accounts. let us say your company wants you to define additional freight surcharges KF01 and KF02. the company also wants you to post these to separate GL accounts. so now, you define additional account keys ZF1 and ZF2. you then assign these to the condition types in the pricing procedure, and then do account determination as follow:
condition type KF01, account key ZF1, post to GL account 600020.
condition type KF02, account key ZF2, post to GL account 600030.
these are just some impact of account keys.
hope this helped you.

Different product hierarchy in sales order and in service order
Dear experts,
In VA03, I notice that
- under Line Item > Sales B, there is a field Product Hierarchy
- under Line Item > Account assignment, there is a field Order. From here, it links to a service order. In the service order, I can see a field Product Hierarchy too.
I would like to know if there is an implication when the field Product Hierarchy in sales order and in service order are different. Is it possible that this will cause an inconsistency?
Usually these two fields have the same value, since the value in sales order is copied from service order. However, in my case, the product hierarchy is changed/updated in service order, but not in sales order.Hi,
We have document pricing procedure maintained at two levels for Sales order or Billing type.
The pricing procedure is determined based on SAles Area Customer pricing procedureDocument Pricing procedure+pricing procedure.
Example :For Sales Document type the document pricing rpocedure will be A and for billing type 'B"
Sales Area1A+Pricing procedure A
Sales Area1B+Pricing procedure B
Now A will be maintained in VOV8 and B will be maintained in VOFA.So two pricing procedures.

Proceeding document for service order
In the case of recall/upgrade for service industry, product service letter can be created as a proceeding document for service order. I used to 0CRM_SRV_PROCESS_H for the service order. The BI content ODS for service order header is 0CRM_PROH. It contains an infoObject for proceeding document 0CRM_PREDOC. But it is not mapped in the transformation.
I have 2 questions:
1. which source field should 0CRM_PREDOC be mapped to?
2. is it possible to include produce service letter in regular service order? The object type for produce service letter is BUS2000210. I noticed only BUS2000116 (service order) is being extracted via 0CRM_SRV_PROCESS_H.
Thanks,
JenniferMadhu,
I am sure you can create a follow-up transaction from a Service ticket to Service Order, All you have to make sure is the setting in IMG for Follow-up are active and right.
