Hello, recently I read in an article that the Skype plugin for Firefox was banned so I went to uninstall the plugin but it would not allow me; What do I do, how do I get rid of the plugin?

to try to uninstall it manually, I went to computer > Uninstall or change a program > "selected" the skype toolbar and then selected unistall but then it comes back with an error message saying "the folder path 'entire copy' contains an invalid character.'

After using firefox for a while if I exit, parent.lock is locked and i have to reboot to reload firefox.
I have killed all firefox applications from task manager (usually there are none). and I have tried 3 different "file unlock" programs including unlocker to no avail.
I also recently installed a program that shows -all- open files, and parent.lock is not listed, and thus not closable/unlockable from there.

When I was trying to download, I wasn't certain whether I was being "prompted" to attach the firefox icon to my application folder. I searched my application folder and finally found firefox - it was in the form of a piece of paper - when I clicked on the paper the 3 icons appeared on my desktop. I surmised that I had successfully downloaded firefox 3 times...but I really don't trust myself in deleting 2...lest I thereby delete all of the download completely. Further, if it is safe to delete 2, is it enough to simply press the delete button over the icons to be removed or do I have todo something else?

You only need a Firefox icon, which you drag to the Applications folder alias after downloading the Firefox .dmg file.
Once the "Firefox" icon is inside the actual Applications folder, all other icons can be moved to the trash, including the Firefox .dmg installer, which looks like a piece of paper. The Firefox disk image, which looks like an external hard drive or Flash drive icon, should be ejected.

And then when you reply to a post you click the camera button at the top of the post window to attach an image.
From your description it sounds like you are adding an event to iCal and it is syncing (which is what its supposed to do). If you see something in iCal on the Mac and you don't want it there, click on it once and then go to Edit > Delete.
If you still can't delete that event:
1. First make an iCal backup: Click on each calendar on the left hand side of iCal one at a time highlighting it's name and then going to File Export > Export and saving the resulting calendar file to a logical location for safekeeping.
2. Go to iCal > Quit iCal
3. Remove the following to the trash and restart your computer:
Home > Library > Caches > com.apple.ical
Home > Library > Calendars > Calendar Cache, Cache, Cache 1, 2, 3, etc. (Do not remove Sync Cache or Theme Cache if present)

You may have installed the "VSearch" trojan, perhaps under a different name. Remove it as follows.
Malware is constantly changing to get around the defenses against it. The instructions in this comment are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data before proceeding.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

It is an iPad 2, 64GB, with wifi and 3G, running the latest iOS 8.1.2, with 43.7 GB available. I am not using the cloud. Everything I need is backed up, so loss of the information on this device is not critical.
About 2 years ago I canceled this account and created a new one when I abandoned my road runner email and change to gmail. Tech support talked me through the transition then and it is fine on all my devices (iPhone, Mac-mini, Macbook Air) except the iPad 2, which i use the most. The same thing happened to my mothers iPad 3 a few months ago, with the same repeating pop-up after changing email/appleid accounts), Apple support helped me restore hers, but mine is no longer a covered device.
This issue started about a year ago, I can cancel the pop-up but it continues to returns, it went away for a few months, then somewhere in the last few months it started happening daily, now it cycles through about every 5 - 15 seconds. Can't do anything, I have reset the iPad 2 all that did was delete my existing settings, it will not accept the old password all I can do is cancel it (until it returns again).
Need the directions to delete the old appleid and accept the new applied on this device.
