I tried just about everything and finally brought my Ipod touch to the apple store. The tech installed ios 4.3.5 but still no WIFI. He recommended a $149 exchange - not really a bad deal with a new battery and 90 day warranty, but I thought I'd try again.
The "solution" was bizarre. On YouTube was a fix involving taking the motherboard out and heating the wifi components with a heat gun.
I did not like that idea, but another involved turning it off, putting it in the freezer for five minutes and restarting. It worked! I must admit the fix does not work reliably, so I may still go for the exchange. Still, I am now convinced that it is a hardware problem. i remember back in the old days, TV repairmen sprayed a suspected bad resistor with Freon. The chilled component would work long enough to identify what needed replacement. Perhaps something similar is happening here.
For anyone wanting to try this, I found it more convenient to place the back of my ipod on a frozen cold pack until the wifi is restored. It seems to happen when condensation forms on the face. I used a towel to wipe off the moisture so as not to add to the problem. -

Warranty and support is only valid in the country of origin. The only exception being the EU where a device bought in any EU country can get warranty or service in any EU country.
Warranty is determined by device (serial number), no documentation required.
Apple does not repair devices, they replace them. For that reason, ensure the device is backed up and any pictures take with the device are copied off the device prior to going in for service. -

This support document http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4451 relates to the 3194 error. Generally this error has to do with trying to install an iOS that is not the most current. Maybe you tried to jailbreak the phone, or downgrade iOS? Any of this apply to you?

I turned my iphone off when visiting the doctor's surgery and now it won't turn back on. It had 73% battery left and I have tried connecting it to my computer with USB but nothing happens. I have taken out and replaced the sim card too. Any suggestions
If wjosten's tip doesn't work try plugging it into a USB charger (not through your computer), wait about 30 seconds and it should come on. If it doesn't remove the cord from the phone and keep trying this. I've had this same issue and found a combination of the reset & charging cable tends to work. Sometimes it takes about 5 minutes for the phone to respond.

When I am abroad (living in Norway) the phone only temporarily (and seldom) connects to a network. Most of the time is says "no service" in top left corner...From advice I have tried to turn it on/off...with and without sim installed...roaming makes no diff. Can anyone help me?

If she has full reception and connection with the same cell phone carrier where you don't - with you both using a SIM card provided by the same carrier while in Norway with an unlocked iPhone, then make an appointment at an Apple Store if there is one nearby to have a diagnostic test run on your iPhone.
In the interim, I would contact this cell phone carrier in Norway to ensure your iPhone is provisioned properly. They can run a reset for your account that will require powering your iPhone off, so call them with your wife's iPhone for this. -

I have an HP Officejet Pro 7580 similar to the 8600 you have and after upgrading to Mountain Lion it wouldn't work. HP support site said download updates for Mountain Lion from App Store not their site so I went to software update but there were NO UPDATES FOR 10.8. Tried a million things and could not get printer to work. So I restored back to Lion figuring at least printer worked then only now I can't get it to work with old settings either. I am sick to death of claims by Apple and peripheral manufacturers that everything is compatible all you have to do is get updates well in this case THERE ARE NONE TO BE GOT and I don't have time to **** about trying to find 'work arounds'. There shouldnt be a need for work-arounds. Unless the updates are ready DONT release the new OS. You shouldn't have to be an IT tech to make basic things like printing work. I see also the HP 8600 is even sold by appstore so there is no reason why it shouldn't work with minimum fuss.

You should have yoru OEM OS X DVD, not one from another Mac, or retail, though the last retail OS X DVD was a year ago 10.6.3.
If it installed, I don't see an issue unless the drive had corrupt directory etc.
What you need to do is repair your boot drive or restore from backup. -
My CC wont open. and Once again my LR and PS keep asking me to licence the software. I am a fully paid subscriber to CC. This issue keeps happening and was only fixed by Adobe lastnight, but its happening again can anyone HELP?

Problem with iPhone 4s when ran out of battery. After charging and on main screen, Siri keeps telling me what I have on my main screen. I selected any icon and it's not responding except Siri telling me what it is. Nothing is happening. I cannot even move to next screen. I cannot use my phone totally. I need help. I turned off and on and not working.
It's not Siri that is talking, it is one of the accessibility features. If you can't go to Settings to change the accessibility settings you will have to restore the phone from Recovery mode: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
