Help about web publishing assistant...

Hi:
I have installed the Oracle8i Enterprise Edition in my PC(Winnt) and created some tables. I wanted show the result of query in webpage using IE5. But the web publishing assistant only products the .htx platform files rather than .html files which are needed. It also tells me "Ok" or "Successfully", but the "modified" is always "unavailable". What shall I do?

Hi 71316,
After installing all the software in the disc driver, then you should be able to publish your application. To begin, take a look at this Developer Zone tutorial http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/4791 which shows how to correctly publish your application. In specific, make sure the LabVIEW Web Server is enabled to allow users access to the front panels on the Web.
If you are still having trouble after following the tutorial, please post back more details of your application. Is this a Real-Time application? What version of LV are you using? Are you working with an executable? What error messages do you get when you try to load your applicaiton on the web? List the drivers installed on the cRIO.

Oracle Web Publishing Assistant...

Hello everybody.
I4m using the Oracle Web Publishing Assistant. I4m trying to do the TUTORIAL 1 (using the generated defaul template).
I did all the steps, but I can4t to view the page. My conecction with the database is good.
Theese are the steps that I did:
1) Enter database login information (Login=SCOTT, Password= TIGER).
2) Select the Build a Query from a Database Hierarchy method for creating a query.
3) Click Local Database, and navigate to SCOTT > TABLE > EMP
4) Select EMP, and click Next.
5) Select the Once scheduling option. Select any day and any time in the future to generate the web page.
6) Select Generate Default Template File.
4) Click Finish.
After that, I can to see the File name, Location, Schedule and Modified (Not Available).
I press the botton "Generate" but never the botton "Preview" is enabled.
Somebody know why?
I hope that someone can help me!

I read about outside publisher assistance that helps get the books correctly formatted for uploading - any info on this? I found it yesterday while searching iBooks Author information and have lost it! :) thanks

Is this assistance, for a nominal fee, called aggregators? I can't find this info anymore, and wonder if anyone else has heard of this.

I have a j2ee web application with oracle database.
I finish the function implementation by put all caculaton inside oracle query ( funciton (todayData - avg(historical data )) / std(historical data) and using group by and sub query .but performance is very slow about 3 minute whick is far from client's 10 second requirement.
My question is if I take raw data from database and do the caculation part in Java will it be faster. Is there some other way to speed up the process?(historical data is big)

process?(historical data is big)My initial reaction would be no, you should focus on opportunities to tune the SQL within Oracle. If you are talking about large volumes of data, pulling that data across a network or even through memory structures will only slow you down. Don't look for nits, look for changes that will have significant impact on performance, this could be creation of a new index, perhaps a bitmap index for performance, it could be simplifying the query by nesting queries rather then using sub-selects, based on the volume of data materialized views may be in order.
I really believe that focusing on Oracle will be the quickest solution for you to implement and has the best of chance of improving the performance to meet your users demands.
Having said that...
Given the scale of the problem, you may want to consider re-architecting the work that is being done by the query. This may include a hybrid solution that includes Oracle providing smaller subsets of data (lists) that can be quickly returned to the program and are in turn used as part of an ensuing query. This suggestion is different then pulling the raw database data into the application in that you are only pulling small amounts of data across the network. A hybrid solution, can be a very effective algorithm when combined with proper and efficient JDBC coding.
This is all pretty vague I know, but since I haven't seen your code or query it is difficult to be specific.

Hi All,
We use jdev 9i for the apps development.
We are integrating many applications to talk to each other and get the data .
For which we are planning to use web services too.
My question is : Is it possible to call web services from OAF using 9i jdev ?.
Can any body point me to some docs or tech urls to start with knowing these web services from OAF.

Bridge mode, share a public IP address,& Filemaker instant web publishing

I have finally wrestled my Time Capsule into working order as a router. For some reason, when I try either to use the router in Bridge Mode or Distribute a Range of IP addresses, I couldn't connect to the internet through an ethernet cable to a ComCast cable modem. It works fine with Share a Public IP Address, so I'm happy . . . until I went back to the filemaker instant web publishing.
The instant web publishing seems to need an absolute address (e.g. 67.123.45.23) rather than the relative address (e.g. 10.0.1.4). I tried to go to Whatismyip.com to get my actual IP address, but I can't get to it that way either. Is there any way to keep the relative addresses distributed by the Time Capsule while sharing an IP, but still have a fixed IP to publish the filemaker database to? Any help would be tremendously appreciated.

Well, my posts a year late, but just a suggestion:

I think I might remind you that they meant a "static IP", which doesn't change every time you connect. An absolute IP would be virtually impossible unless you requested it from a top-tier company. (And yes, you can subscribe to a service that gives you one, but it's way more than any ordinary person can afford) The other option, which you (and the rest of us) are using is a dynamic IP. It assigns an IP to each of our computer every time we "log on" to the internet
But, if you say that you only need instant web publishing, you can always try some kind of service like dynDNS that can redirect any (of your) domain(s) to your IP every time you connect.
dynDNS is free, but has business accounts....
(iWeb, on the other hand, is entirely different. iWeb is designed to export the website to Apple's server, therefore you do not need to deal with the whole IP thing.)

Network Error (dns_unresolved_hostname) about Web dynapro

Hi Experts,
Today I do a test about web dynapro componet. I create a new compoent and active. It's the first tiem to make web dynapro.
After creating the applicaton and test, the issue occured. Please help me check the following error message notice. I'd like to where is the error and how to solve it.

It is an article on Fully Qualified Domain Name. ABAP systems required the URL be fully qualified and have a properly formed domain. You can change the profile parameters as suggested in this help link and add an alias to your DNS so that your server is accessible via the full domain name.

World Wide Web Publishing Service Stopping

Hi,
I have Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition R2. The World Wide Web Publishing service keeps stopping randomly, making it impossible for people to access their emails via OWA.
Would anybody know why this would be occurring and how it could be resolved.

Hi, I would add to Susie, that depending on your Exchange version, as I guess you are at 2007 (as it support 2003x64), you can repair the IIS website easilly.

Do you use that IIS to deliver other website ? or only the OWA ? If only the OWA you can safelly repair it with the Exchange built-in commandshell.
If you tried in the past to remove the IIS, or such manipulation it break deeply Exchange, thus can lead to a buggy IIS. See that link if you tied some manupulation on the IIS (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/320202/en-us)

Web publishing tool not working

Hello guys,
I am trying to do web publishing of my VI. The problem that I am facing is that it is working on one system but not on my other computer. Both the computers have evaluation version of LabVIEW and the operating system is Windows XP.
Here are the other details that I have -
1. The Web server is enabled by going to Tools >> Options >> Web Server
2. Port 80 is not blocked on both the computers.
3. Firewall is disabled on both the computers. Even the antivirus is disabled.
The error message that I am getting has been put in the attachment. The error text is " You must start the LabVIEW web server before previewing in your web page. Would you like to start now? " After this when I click yes, it is still not publishing.
Could anyone please let me know what might be the issue? I am unable to figure out why it is working in one and not on the other. For my application, I need to use both the computers.

Further to my query above, I have one more observation. It gives the message saying " Downloading Panel 0.00% of o bytes" but it never downloads anything.
Could someone please help me out with this, my applicaiton is struck because of this.

Help about Warning Security IE 8.0

Hello Guys,
I need help about warning security IE 8.0.
When I try install a software from my webserver is display the following message:
I can't check the publisher.Are you sure install the software?
This file does not have a valide digital signature that verifies its publisher.
You should only install software from publishers you trust.
Well, I already enable:
Download signed ActiveX controls
Download unsigned ActiveX controls
Allow active content from CDs to run on user machines Enabled
Allow software to run or install even if the signature is invalid Enabled
Check for server certificate revocation Disabled
Check for signatures on downloaded programs Disabled
Is there somewhere I disable all settings warning's about IE or one specific GPO I need disable for this warning don't display for me?
In the same installation a lot of about file .cab are installed, only one specifc I don't have sucess.

I installed teh update a few days ago but when I open Firefox it says :"You're not on the lastest version . . ", but at "Help" & "About Firefox" it shows 9.0.1 "latest release". There's a glitch somewhere.

This is the message when I Open Firefox:
"You're not on the latest version of Firefox. Upgrade today to get the best of the Web!"
At <Help> & <About Firefox>, it shows

9.0.1
"Firefox is up to date"
"You are currently on the release update Channel"

Is your homepage set to www.google.com/firefox? If so, that page is wrong. You should change your home page to about:home or some other site instead. The google.com/firefox page is no longer supported.
