HELP! Access & Java connection problem

I am not able to access MS Access database nor can I access my own tables etc. I desperately need to find a way to be able to access the information. I have searched the forums, help files, etc with no success.
I have used the Capture Database Schema to succesfully capture the MS Access database.
I then opened the database and right clicked to get the generate java option. I selected this which opens the DatabaseSchema - Generate Java wizard. When I select next, a unexpected error occurs ands asks to report it. I am unable to continue.
I have also tried to use the JBDC Form Wizard but only able to complete up to step 2. It shows the "connecting" progress bar for a couple seconds and stops. Nothing else occurs. It starts but loses connection.
I have also looked at the Options tab under Tools which shows that there is an "error" with the database templates. This occurs even after reloading the SDK and Forte onto the system.
I am currently using Windows ME, Forte community edition v3.0 with SDK 1.3.1_02. I have also tried SDK 1.4.1 with same results. I have also used the update center to update the modules but no change.
I don't know what else I can do.

Help needed with connection problem before I chew off my foot.

I am on 24/7 with Virgin.
From last Friday, my connection telephone number has been constantly engaged.
BT tell me it is not a valid number (?).
I can access the internet just by changing the number in remote access to the one I'm using now - a pay by the minute number.
This leads me to believe thay my settings are correct - as they have been for a considerable time.
Virgin have responded once with a standard reply confirming the telephone number (useless) to four e-mails. There is an unconnected (no pun intended) 'server' problem with their 'online help'.
I am on Netscape or IE, external Zoom modem and I haven't done anything which might alter my settings.
Any help would be much appreciated - even sympathy might make me feel better!
Please bear in mind that I am a techno-idiot with any advice offered.

I get a perpetual 'engaged' tone with a mechanical woman telling me that the number is busy, please try later.
The 'helpline' is a premium number. Cleverly, I have had premium numbers blocked on my 'phone line to defeat the fraudsters re-directing calls.
This means that I have to use someone else's 'phone to call a premium number!
Since last Friday, I have sent a total of six e-mails to Virgin and received one 'standard' reply which was of no help.
I agree that it seems like an ISP problem.
However, perhaps someone could kindly talk me through the things I ought to be checking on my computer (in words of one syllable where possible!).

I just got myself a brand new itouch last week (I'm SO excited), the problem is this, i cannot get it to connect to the internet! I've got a wired connection, and i need to know how to either change everything over to wireless (which would be an expensive pain as I've got a HD tivo, a Wii, an xbox 360, plus my computed that are using up everything on my router) or somehow get a wireless router connected to all of this somehow...my cable modem has only one output, too. So, I feel TOTALLY helpless! Maybe there is something I'm missing or not thinking of or something, but I'm so frustrated! I love my itouch and want to definitely keep it but...how do i get it to connect to the internet? Sorry about the rambling message...Thanks for listening...

While an Apple Airport is a very nice router (and is clearly very Mac friendly in terms of setup and such), it is expensive.
You could achieve the same results - a wireless connection for your Touch - with a low-end wireless router from Belkin, Netgear, Linksys, etc. You only need 802.1 g/b (i.e., some of the newer, "faster" access protocol won't work on the Touch anyway), so you could go with some of the lowest-end offerings from these other manufacturers. Generally, such things are available from office supply (e.g., Staples) or big box (e.g., Best Buy) stores for under $50. You could also search somewhere like Craigslist and find and older one (that someone is upgrading from) for for next to free. If nesc, go to the maker's website to download a manual once you have a used piece of equip. Since you seem to be a PC (windows) user, you should be able to run the setup programs on the manuf-supplied CDs for most anything that you find.
In most cases, you can bridge your "new" wireless router to the wired router, thereby keeping your wired router fully in place. Or, you may be able to swap everything over to the wireless router (using its wired ports...most wireless routers have a least 4 wired ports...for those devices you have that aren't wireless). Depending on what you get for a wireless router, you have a variety of options.

Sreaming at the top of my lungs for HELP with Java Script problem!

I have this strange problem that no one seems to know why or how to fix it.Whenever I encounter a web site that has java scripting for anything pop ups or redirects to url's anything that says java script when I mouse over the link my browsers do nothing.That is for explorer 6.0 beta netscape 4.7 and netscape version 6.I have tried in another forum some suggestions but nothing changed even though I am told nothing is wrong with the java scripting.I used to be able to click java script's with all of these browsers but no longer.That was a few months ago.Now to try something new I tried to see if a new browser would work.I now have the latest version of Opera.It did work but using Opera on some sites limits what I can do so it doesn't solve my problem.Then I tried the Sun JavaHot browser it also worked but limits what I can do on some site's.I have Windows 98 & updated most of my dll's etc & my java is version 2 1.3.1.My java script is enabled in Explorer & netscape's & the security is at a minimum level.Please help me figure out why these other browsers work but the other's do not.I want to edit a web site of mine but I can't because of this problem.I am very frustrated by this and need as detailed help as I can get.Anything of a suggestion would be very much appreciated.But I am also not an expert on the working's of a computer so bear with me.

Well I am thinking that if anyone could know something about Java script it would be java developers.But anyways I had the previous version of explorer 5.0 & the java didn't work in it either.Now how weird is this,I opened netscape 4.7 today & the java scripts are suddenly working.This has me scratching my head wondering if my computer is possesed by some force beyond my capability to know...????Weird as it seems though the explorer still will not respond to a java script.

Can someone help with a connection problem?

I have a DroidX2 and have noticed that the phone routinely switches from 3G to 1X, especially in certain rooms in the house..
This is consistant and usually the signal is only two bars.
Whenever I try to watch a Youtube video it will play for maybe 12 seconds and then I will have to play with the settings in Youtube to download more of the video. Maybe 1 out of 50 times the video plays straight through without stopping. Most of the time the screen will show 1X instead of 3G. Could it be my phone settings, phone coverage or Youtube causing the problem? I sometimes have dropped calls as well. I have the most current software and Youtube was recently updated. I am also receiving "cannot establish a connection" messages on Youtube. Can someone please help? Thank you.

Help!! Connection problems using Dreamweaver 8 on OSX 10.4.5.

I have been unable to connect to our Web server from Dreamweaver 8 ever since I ran the Software Update 10.4.5. I've toggled on the "passive FTP" back and forth as it recommends. I've even deleted everything Dreamweaver 8ish and reinstalled the whole program. All of which has had no luck! The odd thing is that I am able to connect to any other server on my list of sites through DW 8 or even Transmit 3.5.1.
Is there any other area(s) that I can "toggle" with on my machine's settings or preferences that might help to reset it back to how it was before?

I recently had the same problem following the 10.4.4 update, and was told by DW tech support that there were a number of reported issues with the DW 8.0.1 update. If you're using that you might try rolling back to 8.0. Also, watch out when deleting the DW8 files before reinstalling. There were prefs all over the place: /Library/Preferences, /Library/Application Support, ~/Library/Preferences and ~/Library/Application Support, possibly others. FWIW my problem ultimately was traced to an illegal (for DW, not OSX) character in a recently renamed HD. It was weird, 'cause I had no trouble with DW7, Transmit or Fetch, just DW8.

Help! Vista connection Problem WRT54G2

I was connecting to the Internet through my wireless router for the last month without any problems. I was using the default SSID of linksys. I decided to change the SSID to make it unique to my house. I went 192.168.1.1 and changed my SSID name. As soon as I did that my wireless connection went down, not to my surprise. I searched for my new SSID name in order to connect and found it. I tried to connect to that SSID and could not connect. I have used a pen to reset the router in order to return to the default settings. I simply can not connect to the Internet in Vista through the WRT54G2. It is not my ISP either because I can connect directly from my cable modem to my computer. I believe there is a conflict in settings some where between vista and the router. I dont know where though. Please help this is driving me crazy!

Since you have already Resetted your Router, then your Router is back to the Factory Defaults.... To make all your Computers go online through the Router you need to re-configure all the settings back on your Router....

Open an Internet Explorer browser page on your wired computer(desktop).In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1 and press Enter...Leave Username blank & in Password use admin in lower case...
For Wireless Settings, please do the following : -
Click on the Wireless tab
- Here select manual configuration...Wireless Network mode should be mixed...
- Provide a unique name in the Wireless Network Name (SSID) box in order to differentiate your network from your neighbours network...
- Set the Radio Band to Standard-20MHz and change the Standard channel to 11-2.462GHz...Wireless SSID broadcast should be Enabled and then click on Save Settings...
Please make a note of Wireless Network Name (SSID) as this is the Network Identifier...
For Wireless Security : -
Click on the Sub tab under Wireless > Wireless Security...
Change the Wireless security mode to WPA, For Encryption, select TKIP...For Passphrase input your desired WPA Key. For example , MySecretKey , This will serve as your network key whenever you connect to your wireless network. Do NOT give this key to anyone and remember the key.
NOTE : Passphrase should be more that 8 characters...
Click on Advanced Wireless Settings
Change the Beacon Interval to 75 >>Change the Fragmentation Threshold to 2304, Change the RTS Threshold to 2304 >>Click on "Save Settings"...
Now see if you can locate your Wireless Network and attempt to connect...

Help Please! Connection problems!

I received an Iphone3 yesterday from my friend as she no longer wanted it. When I was with her with the phone it would connect to her home internet fine with no problems, so didn't think i'd have an issue.
I've brought it home and it would connect to my Plusnet home internet connection. It wont even bring me up the option to connect or enter my password.
The internet will connect to my orange contract but i don't reall want to use that.
I don't know much about this technology and really no sure what to do.

Need help! Ipod connection problem

At the begining everything was allright. But after I restored my Ipod the error has occured. When I connect the Ipod masage "do not disconnect" appears but only when Ipod is auto syncing. Only then I can change options on my Ipod (from Itunes. Exept music , I can change it offline) but with that problem I can't (for xample) put new photos (becouse there are no auto sync photos selected and I can't select it)WHEN i CHANGE SOME OPTIONS (WITH CONNECTED Ipod but without the masage "Dont disconnect") and press aply The Itunes crashes (sometimes drops masages about error -50, not usable disk or unknown file location )

The iPad Bluetooth does not network with iPhones or iPods. It is intended for headsets, keyboards and car systems, computers for tethering purposes.

You have 2 sets of errors, at least.
The first is : Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: java/util/HashSet which is that you have not imported the class for hashset.
The second is that the import of the jars is probably wrong, hard to say without seeing code.

Please help with aiport connection problems

Hello everyone and happy new year!!
I bought an ibook G4 back in August 2006 everything was fine with it and working perfectly until I had a problem turning the ibook on. I rang Apple support who told me to reinstall the operating system, which I did and this fixed that problem. However, after doing this the airport card is greyed out and cannot be selected. I checked the status of the airport card and it says 'no information found'
Does anyone know of a fix for this or would it be better to go to my apple approved store to get it looked at.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I love my laptop and am a bit lost without it!!!

I tried this fix last night but it did not work. The airport card is still greyed out and it still says 'no information found' in the airport card details (in about this mac bit).
Hav you any other suggestions? Should I just take it to my local apple approved store to get it fixed?

Help with WRT54G connection problems..and Vista

Hello, I'm very new so if some of my questions have been asked before I apologize. I have the WRT54G wireless router and have been having a difficult time getting a steady connection. The wired computer's connection is perfect, but the machine was recently switched from XP to Vista. Ever since the change, the internet (on the computers using wireless) fluctuates unceasingly. (For example, when my boyfriend tries to play his online games the ping shoots from 30 up to 1000, disconnects and then goes back down about once every 10 minutes.) Since it worked absolutely fine before the change, I figured I would try to update the firmware on the new machine, however I can't seem to get the download to work on Vista. Every time the file downloads it says that Vista is unable to open or proceed with the download.
I've tried other things, as far as changing the channel, enabling the SSID broadcast, and changing the physical location of the router. Is there something else that I may be missing other than updating the firmware? And how might I go about updating the firmware with Vista?

first off , i don't think there should be any issues updating the router's firmware on a vista machine....
the other things that you can try are :
changing the MTU size to 1365 ,
under the "advanced wireless settings" subtab, change the beacon interval - 50 , fragmentation and RTS threshold - 2304 ...

Someone plz help. iphone usb connection problems

hi guys. ive been trying to get pictures off my iphone but my computer isnt recognising my phone. its never happened before.
usually it comes up with autoplay asking whether or not i want to open folder to view files, import pictures etc. if not it shows my iphone in my computer but now none of that is happening. although it charges when i plug it in and shows up in itunes and all but i need to get pictures off it and thats the only way.
ive tried everything under the sun. all my usb ports, other computers, device manager, played around with autoplay,restoring my phone, everything! i went to the apple store and all they suggested was the restore. somebody please help me! dont know what else to do.

If you have a Push email account (such as Mobile ME, Exchange or Yahoo) go into Settings/mail,contacts,calendar, tap on the account, and switch it OFF. Then press home. Reboot (Hold HOME and SLEEP until an Apple logo appears). After it finishes booting go back to settings and turn that account back ON. Note that your are turning the ACCOUNT off, not turning PUSH off.
