Help, couldn't access the ipod on itunes

I just got new `160gb ipod classic. Everytime i connect the ipod into my pc, it shows up on my itunes but when I expanded the chevron icon, it shows nothing and has only option to eject it. Please help, because i want to erase all the songs on my ipod. Thanks

If you want to erase everything then restore your iPod. Restoring will erase the iPod's hard drive, reload the software and put it back to default settings. Once the restore is complete follow the on screen instructions and it should connect to iTunes and give you a prompt to automatically update your library onto the fresh installation. If you don't want everything to go back onto the iPod choose no and it will default to manual mode. From there you can drag whatever content you want to it or you can change to another setting such as "sync music - selected playlists": Restoring iPod to factory settings with iTunes 7

I'd maybe try doing a search for Safari on your iPad first (swipe to the left to search). If it shows up in that search you can go to Settings > General > Reset and choose 'reset home screen layout' which will put it back where it would be by default.
All else fails? Restore it.

Ok my ipod touch syncs but not properly,I see a little icon on both itunes and the ipod rolling,itunes shows me that I have less memory available on my ipod after I sync which coresponds well in terms of memory with the ammount of songs I am loading to the ipod but I never see what I think I should see when I sync which is "do not disconnect......". ITunes couldn't backup the iPod...

It synced, but it won't backup.
The last time I backed up the process stuck halfway for minutes so I forced quit iTunes (task manager) & disconnect iPod. Then I disconnect internet and sync and ever since it won't back up.
Any idea to solve this?

Alright. This is weird. After reset and force backup by right clock iPod without success, the next time I connected it just backed up.

I've checked the forums and everything I've found has involved things that I have been unable to do involving the itunes restore. Please save my ipod from a hammer.

You can try 2 things:
Restart your iPod by - Holding the Power and Home buttons until you see the Apple logo.
Put your iPod in DFU and restore - Hold the Power and Home until the screen goes black, wait about 2 seconds, release the power button but keep holding the home for 15 seconds, then on iTunes, Restore and Update.

How to copy music from the iPod to iTunes ??

Hello,
I use iTunes since some months and have bought several songs at iTunes. Now I also bought an iPod and copied the music from iTunes to my iPod.
Because my harddisk was almost full I deleted most songs in my iTunes directory because I thought it is possible to copy music from the iPod to iTunes ... i.e. I thought that the music on my iPod is like a backup.
But now I it seems impossible to copy music back to my computer. Are all those sond lost ?
Dear experts: Is there any possibility to get my music back to my computer ?
I hope someone can help.

You can't sync or drag your non iTMS music back directly from an iPod to iTunes. The transfer of non iTMS content is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve individual music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection. First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."

You should use iTunes to "rip" (encode) the songs directly into your iTunes library from the CDs. This article provides a good description of how that is done using iTunes.

If you use some other program to encode the content on those CDs, you can add any audio files that are in a format that iTunes can play (such as MP3 and AAC) to your iTunes library. "Windows Media" files are not playable by iTunes, but the Windows version of iTunes can convert them while importing (as long as the files do not use DRM).

Can't access the iStore in iTunes on a PC

i now can't access the iStore in iTunes on a PC. This happened when I updated to the latest iTunes software. i get a unknown error 11222. I think this might have something to do with security settings, but i do not know what to specifically set in my Windows firewall settings or other security software. i would appreciate some help. I think I am following -- I was able to upload to my iPhoto and all photos and videos are there that is a plus! I tried to create an Event in my iPhoto and put all of my photos in that event but for some reason, now my iTunes it not recognizing that Event in my iPhoto. It is not allowing me to import just that event at the moment but I may be doing something wrong. At least all of my pics and vids are in iPhoto so that is a plus and I know they are at least saved somewhere. Just for some reason, my iTunes it not locating the event that I created with only those photos.

Also, I had no clue that my iCloud could be backed up via cellular data! However, is this a new feature with the most updated iOS?? Unforutnatly I am like 2 iOS updates behind because I don't have enough storage on my phone. Here is what worked for me:
My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc.

Problem from ejecting the iPod from iTunes

I don't know why that when I eject the iPod from iTunes, iTunes always show the command text to reject the eject of iPod.
The command show that "The iPod cannot be ejected because it contains file that are in use by another appilcation.", so that I can't eject by this formal way.
Therefore, I post this to find someone help me to solve the problem.

If your iPod is set to update automatically take care when connecting back to your OWN computer and a different iTunes. You will get a message that your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button: Managing content manually on iPod
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync again.
