HELP: failed to setup and run WL performance monitor, console extension on WL 8.1

Hi All
i downloaded and installed the WL performance monitor, console extension package
at http://commerce.bea.com/products/weblogicserverconsoleextension/wlsext_home.jsp
As i tried to deploy "performance monitor" web app to the WL server at "Performance
Monitor > Installation Instructions " screen. I just saw the error msg
weblogic.management.ManagementRuntimeException: weblogic.management.ApplicationException:
[J2EE:160029]I/O error while reading deployment - java.io.FileNotFoundException:
No such path: null\java\FenwayWL.war. java.io.FileNotFoundException: No such path:

at weblogic.management.deploy.DeployerRuntime.unprotectedActivate(DeployerRuntime.java:833)
Therefore, i used workaround to manually copy "PerformanceMonitor.war" and "FenwayWL.war"
to <Domain Home>/applications directory for manual deployment. However, it seems
of no use. I still failed to carry out any operations through "performance monitor"
node at left panel of admin console. For e.g, i failed to enable "resources" and
"statistics" monitoring option at "Performance Monitor > Agent Configuration "
screen. Very thankful somebody can help me to sort out my problem. My platform
is win2000 + WL 8.1 sp1
thanks u very much in advance.

In order to find the PerformanceMonitor web app, the ConsoleExt needs to
examine your classpath to get the appropriate WLHOME. It does this by
searching for .../server/lib/weblogic.jar. Please make sure your CLASSPATH
is correct and matches where PerformanceMonitor is installed. For example,
the path to .../server/lib/weblogic.jar is the same as to ../common/perf. In
my world, they both happen to be d:\bea\weblogic81.

  • WebLogic Performance Monitor Console Extension (WL PMCE)

    Hi,
Where do I download the software for WebLogic Performance Monitor Console Extension (WL PMCE)?
I saw the article at http://www.theserverside.com/news/thread.tss?thread_id=21804 and the PDF looks interesting. But I'm not able to find the place to download the software?
I'm using WebLogic Server 8.1 SP5 . Is it comes with in-built? If yes, please let me know how to enable it.
Otherwise let me know tools that can tell me threads, memory, cpu, etc and provide notification, etc.
    Advanced thanks.

"Otherwise let me know tools that can tell me threads, memory, cpu, etc and provide notification, etc." -- Hi, I'm familiar with a third-party tool that is suitable for larger deployments, it collects the data you mention for Weblogic instances and also does performance monitoring at the cluster level. Here is a description of their WebLogic integration pack -- http://www.evidentsoftware.com/products/clearstone-for-weblogic/. Hope this helps.

  • WebLogic Server Performance Monitor Console Extension

The win 32 download of this is in the unix compressed format tar.Z. After extracting the files using Winzip, i dont see any "win" installation directory. There are directories for UNIX flavors only. Where can i get the windows installable ?
I am using Win XP and WLS 8.1

There should be a setup.exe as well as a Win32 directory. The installer
should be smart enough to pickup which platform you are running and
    install the appropriate binaries.

  • Help with computer setup and PP settings for faster/better previews

I have been using Cyberlink PowerDirector software for video editing.  It is very easy to use and can do quite a bit.  It was also accelerated by Intel HD graphics built into my system, so I could see a lot of my work at a pretty high resolution in real time.
However, I wanted to see what PP was capable of, specifically the Warp Stabilizer.
So I downloaded PP and have been trying to use it, but it was just slow as heck to preview anything (chop stop chop stop...), with render times being insanely long (12 hours for five minutes of footage vs. about 30 minutes with PowerDirector).
Thinking it was a problem with my system and I needed to get a real graphics card, I got an EVGA GTX 670 (FTW) for $400, and popped it in.  I modified the text file so PP would see it as a compatible card, opened up PP and changed the engine to the new card.
Things are faster, but I was expecting a lot more.  Here's what I'm doing:
    1. Shooting Canon 5D mark II (now III) clips 20-60 seconds long, 1080p.
    2. Import to PP and sequence them.
    3. Adding effects:
         A. Top adjustment layer for fast color correction (white balance)
         B. Next adjustment layer: 3-way color, shadow/highlight, unsharp mask, fast blur
         C. Video 1 layer has the clips with warp stabilizer applied to each, and dissolves.
My final output will be 720p.  ( I shoot 1080p so the Warp Stabilizer will have more to work with, and I can crop without feeling like I'm degrading quality).
    My system: i7 2600k, 16GB RAM, GTX 670 graphics, 120GB SSD "Max IOPS", 2TB 7200rpm internal, 2TB 7200rpm external (USB 2.0, backup drive).
I can currently preview at 1/4 res in realtime.  I would really like to be able to get to 1/2 res (of course full would be great).  One thing that worries me is that GPU-Z indicates that my GPU is only running at about 2% while previewing, while CPU usage is at around 50%.  I was under the impression that the Mercury thing would use GPU/CUDA to process previews and effects that are supported (that includes Warp Stabilizer).
I've looked at Sequence Settings and fiddled with Preview File Format and size, but that doesn't seem to do anything.  I'm currently looking around at codecs (Cineform, DNxHD), but don't know if those can help.
What settings should I alter to get better previews?

Well I'm still pretty clueless about this, but for anyone who is looking at this and wondering, here's what I've gleaned:
    1.  After Effects, especially CS6, makes much more and better use of graphics cards than does Premiere Pro.  I'm guessing that PP will, in future versions, make better use of them.  For now, no need to spend more than a couple hundred bucks on one.
    2.  Update the software.  PP and AE both performed substantially better after installing the .01 update from adobe.  After you install the update, be sure to re-do the CUDA hack, if necessary.
    3.  As it stands, money for a PP system is best spent on a processor, as in the newest Intel (currently Ivy Bridge), and overclocked.  This is where performance happens.  I'd say on a 2012 system, 16 GB RAM should be considered a minimum for video editing, and 24 or 32 if you can afford it.  More than that probably won't be utilized.  Hard disks can affect performance, but I don't think it's a bottleneck unless you're doing something that requires VERY fast/large reads and writes (4k source?).  Most people who have high-end editing stations also have a bunch of drives in RAID, but if you look at the performance chart, the SECOND highest scoring tester did not use RAID (though did use a presumably fast and large SSD).
Keep in mind that all of this has to do with RENDER speeds.  I still don't know what the bottleneck is for PREVIEWS, but I'm just going to assume it's the same.

  • Help with our setup and output to Excel

OK, I work for the EPA Office of Research and Development (ORD) here in Cincinnati.  We are working on this big project that is coming to an end.  Basically, we have four different carts going.  We have one ultra filtration cart (UF), one reservoir cart, one ion-exchange cart, and one RO cart.  The UF, reservoir, and RO carts will all be hooked up to the computer via DASYlab.
Currently, we think that we have our DASYlab setup correctly.  We want to graph everything over time and we want to export everything out to Excel so the data can be analysed later.  I have been in contact with DASYlab help but this really isn't there job.  I was wondering if someone could look at our DASYlab file (or give me idiot proof instuctions) into making sure that data is collected once every 2 seconds, the graphs are updated once every 2 seconds, and that the charts that will be output to Excel are updated once every 2 seconds.  We are working on a P-M 1.8GHz notebook with a 100GB hard drive and 2GB of RAM so it can definately handle the flow of data.
No one in our project (or TTEB branch) has any experience with DASYlab.  The last person to have this type of experience was working with Strawberry Tree back in the early 90's on a old 286 PC via DOS.  It was actually the job of the contractors who built our equipment to get everything setup.  However, they fell through as they didn't have any previous experience with DASYlab and they just didn't feal like reading through the 100's of pages of text.  This assignment was handed over to me just last week and I think I have everything setup correctly.  I just don't have to the time to fully read the manual.
I would appreciate any help.  If someone can help then feal free to PM me and I can e-mail them the two necessary files.
    Thanks

    Simplest way "in my opinion":
    1. start weblogic Server. You can use Server with examples. This domain
is already configured, so You will not need any domain configuration tasks.
    2. open weblogic administration console using browser
    http://localhost:7001/console/. Log in.
    3. On the left side choose Deployments -> Web Application Modules
    4. Click "Deploy a new Web Application Module"
    5. Find folder with Your application. Mark it and click Target Module.
    6. Define Application name and click Deploy
    7. If deployed successfully, Your application should be accessible at
    http://localhost:7001/YourApplicationContextRoot

That is a very good point.  You do have to have focus within the WDA area of the browser otherwise the keyboard comamnd will be thrown to the surrounding browser.  Have you tried the URL parameter as suggested earlier?  This would eliminate the keyboard command/focus possibility.
Are you sure you system really is 7.01?  This functionality isn't available on 7.0.

  • Need Help! CPU shows 100% constantly in performance monitor

We have a new Dell t620 server running server 2012 std. running AD DS, dhcp, dns and the performance monitor shows constant 100% CPU load, while the processes in task manager can show very little CPU useage. By the way this is a Intel Xeon E5-2620 6 core
CPU, with 32GB ram which shows normally using only about 2GB ram at the same time. If I do a shutdown and restart I am getting the same 100% CPU load.
Does anyone know what might be causing this behavior?
We have other identical servers which show usually zero to low CPU load, performing the same functions.
Is this a known problem with server 2012 std.?

This server is now in service on a network. So I cannot shut it down during business day.
What is really strange is when I open task manager it shows almost all the CPU useage in APPS, which consist of task manager and resource monitor, with task manager sometimes even going to 100% CPU useage.
While memory, harddisk and ethernet are showing like low useage.
Do you all think it could be memory or a bad CPU? This is a 1 week old Dell server.
Does anyone know if there is a good memory checker that can be run from windows while server is in service?
    Thank you for your assistance.

Does anyone know if the X230 grahics card was designed to handle that?

So, the PMCE runs on SP4 ? ...

    Hi
I was testing the PMCE with SP3 ... The console shows the Navigation Node : Performance Monitor ( and the subnodes : Resources, Statistics and Configuration)
There is no errors in the log.
But, when I tried to use some navigation node the log shows:

Plus, I was trying to test the PMCE using SP4 again.
I get the error in certificate ...
Currently, I'm using the decompile tools to see what is the logic of the application and I see many classes point to "https" ( hardcoded !!! ) and point to port 8080 ...
So, the PCME was tested before released ?
    Cheers!

  • Please help, unable to synchronize and run Applications NW2004s

    Hi All,
I am newbie (no only for mobile, them for SAP)  i can't run any example! and i really need for your help:
I have a Pentium IV +2GB RAM + Windows server 2003 + Oracle ( I them try to install the system in a Xeon but i have problems with the SDM password so i can't update the Java Components to  SP 10).
    <b>The Enviroment:</b>
    <b>Sever called erick:</b>
    1) First i install NW2004s  ABAP + JAVA + MI 7.0, SP 6 over Oracle 10.2
    2) After that i Update:
    Kernel to version 83
SAINT, ABA, Basis to SP 10
JSPM, NWCLIENT, NWLAP, NWADMIN, NWDRIVERS to SP 10 for MI 7.0
    3) After that, i used the MI template going to my server: http://erick:50100/nwa, login as J2EE_ADMIN, deploy & changes.... it appears to work... but when a login into the web system it says:
System Landscape Directory is not accessible.
Local System Only can be administrate. (maybe here is the key)
    <b>On the Client side:</b>
Windows XP + NW developer Studio Version: 7.0.10 + MI Client (I extract this from the NWCLIENTNT10_0-20000910.SCA, SAP Mobile Infrastructure, Version MI 70 SP10 Pacht 0 )
NW developer Studio is Configured in this form (Using Windows -> Preferences -> MI Development)
MI Folder: C:\Archivos de programa\SAP Mobile Infrastructure (Archivos de Programas  (Spanish) = Program Files)
    Java SDK tools.jar file: C:/j2sdk1.4.2_08/lib/tools.jar, I can't change it.
MI server name: localhost (I think this is Wrong, this have to be erick?, i will try with this)
    MI weapp TCP port: 4444
Command line to launch browser: cmd /C    start iexplorer
    Awt runtime:
MI Home Folder: C:\Archivos de programa\SAP Mobile Infrastructure (C) (I extract this from the NWCLIENTNT10_0-20000910.SCA too)
MI Logon Information: eilarraza, this user was the one that i create to update the system in the server, it has: SAP_ALL, and SAP_NEW permissions.
Password: The Master Password of the system.
When a push the Test Setting button, it works!
    <b>MI Client Configuration:</b>
    USER: eilarraza
    Client: 000
    Languaje: EN
    Country: Venezuela
    Time Zone: ACT
    <b>Synchronization:</b>
    Protocol: http
    Host: erick
    Port: 50100
    System: ERI
    Proxy: NO, we used DHCP.
    <b>Problem:</b>
I am Unable to synchronize with MI server.
    I import a .war file, i export It, but a i can't run It.
Searching in the forum i arrive to a Excellent BLOG: http://jogel.sdn.googlepages.com/milad
(Literally i read all the BLOG, is very good for the newbies, it is a excellent work)
I Install the mobile application using a tool called LAD, i restart the MI Client, and the application is Installed!!! But when a try to Syncronized it i received the same error:
    Syncronization Started.
Connection Set up (without proxy) to http://erick:50100/sap/bc/MJC/mi_host?~sysid=ERI&
    Connection to server failled
Problems in the Syncrhonization Not Found 404; The server has not found anything matching the URI given.
Basically i can't Syncrhonaze the MI Client with the Server. I search in the Forum, Documentation, Google, Blogs, etc etc, Surely is a configuration problem, please i need some tips.
    Best Regards,
    Erick Ilarraza

    Hi Jo Santiago, Sivakumar V
Thanks a lot for your help!
<b>Jo</b>: I made Pings to erick:
Ping statistics for xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: (i removed the local ip)
    Packects: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0  (0% loss), Works perfect.
nslookup does not work, maybe because all the machines are in a local network.
I am investigating about: ICM Logon and SLD. I don't know what it is that, i Remember that in the installation phase i say NO when he ask me to install the SLD.
    <b>Sivakumar:</b>
After the 3 Steps, the services (that were down) now are UP but when a try to test the service he ask me for:
Enter username and password for "SAP Web Application Server [ERI] at http://erick:8001
I try with <b><i>J2EE_ADMIN + Master Password</i></b>, I always use this user to go into the Web Server.
    Logon failed.
    Note
Logon performed in system ERI .
Logon performed for client 001 and language EN.
Them i try with: SAP*, and eilarraza (SAP_ALL, SAP_NEW permissions)
    It does not work.
After i try to synchronize the MI Client (with the services mi_host and mi_services UP). But it does not work.
So who is exactly the middleware user? The J2EE_ADMIN? or the one that i create with SAP* to update the system to SP10 (It has SAP_ALL, SAP_NEW permissions, in my case is called eilarraza) Maybe the problem is that i a not using the correct user in the MI Client configuration neither in the test of the service.
    Best Regards,
    Erick Ilarraza
