Help for a newbie using the SAP tutorial

Hi All,
This is the first time i have picked up the SAP SDK and I am following the tutorial that is in the the help document that is installed with the SDK installation.
Under the developers guide section > Tutorial: Blanket Agreement Solution
I have worked down to Part 4 and I am stuck on step 1 (create an installer)
Towards the end of the page it talks about creating a new project and to opening line is: "Add the BlanketAgreement.exe file to the project and change its Build Action to Embedded Resource."
Can somebody give me some help here please because upuntil now there has been no mention of the BlanketAgreement.exe.
Equally can anybody suggest some more tutorials that will help be get into the SDK.

The BlanketAgreement.exe is a reference to the executable that will be created when you compile the solution you created in Part II - Part III. I think there is a mistake in the tutorial because it asks you to name the project 'Blanket' which means that by default the executable will be called Blanket.exe and not BlanketAgreement.exe. The tutorial also misses the step asking you to compile the Blanket project before you go on to create an installer. You should compile your Blanket project in Release mode before creating an installer. By compiling the project you'll get a Blanket.exe file in the bin folder of your Blanket project which you then need to add to the installer per the instructions.
SAP do offer development courses in some areas and there is training material here on the SDN and on the SAP partner portal (and maybe the customer portal as well). Try searching this forum for 'training' or 'tutorial' and you should get a few links. There's also a development certification.
Personally I'd recommend you give yourself a little project to work on and just get stuck in

Im trying to create a generic search help for Web Dynpro using the SAP-search help. It should working so, that I construct a Web Dynpro-component, that gets the data of the search help from the SAP-system, interpreted it and creates the ui-elements and the needed context generic.
The mapping between the Input field of the customerview and the right search help is to be made with an xml-file, which contains the information: name of the view, the input field, the search-help-name and the name of the field that will be returned.
The xml-file is reading from a helper-class. That helper-class contains any information, witch need the search help-component as well as the customer-component.
The initialization takes place in the method wdDoModify of the customer. The call of the search help from the customer should be implement with an Action, witch is bound to a Button(create dynamic in the helper-class behind the input field).
In a second foot should be create a plugin for eclipse, witch insert the used files (search help component, helper class, ) in the project. In addition it should create the call in the customer generic.
It would be great if someone can give me a feedback!

SBO - Using the SAP supplied AIO_Material_Master template - Extend Material

Hoping someone can help here.
I am using Using the SAP supplied AIO_Material_Master template. I have read the DataMigration_8_Material_EN_US.doc and could not find anything. How can we extend our Material accross all Plants? What are your suggestions?

Not sure if I fully understand as I am new to SBO.
I have created a plant table also within the plant table I have created columns for the different views that would be created under each plant for that Material.
So I am thinking I need to start at the MaterialMasterHeader_E1BPE1MATHEADER_Required.
How should I do this. I was thinking maybe placing everything in a While Loop(???). But not exactly sure how. If I map to this table?? how do I flow through all of the dataflows?

When there was support for Google Toolbar, I was able to do this; now, whenever I want to search for something, I have to open a new tab to do it, and cut-and-paste my search into the search field in the new tab. I used to be able to highlight, drag, and drop something into the search field and have it automatically open in a new tab. This is enough for me to switch to Chrome . . .

The first time an iPhone is connected to iTunes that is used to sync with another iPhone or iOS device, you are prompted to transfer the backup for the other iPhone or iOS device or to set up the iPhone as a new iPhone.
The former does as provided - it transfers the backup for the other iPhone or iOS device to the iPhone replacing all data on the iPhone that is included with the backup being transferred. Please refer the step by step procedure:
1. Start the deploy tool of the SAP J2EE Application Server with the DeployTool.bat in the directory //<SAP J2EE Engine Installation Directory/.../j2ee/deploying.
2. Choose Project → New Project and enter a name for the new project.
3. Click on the Deployer tab.
4. From the menu path, choose Deploy → EAR → Load Module and select the sapjra.rar file.
5. For the newly created node sapjra.rar, choose Server Settings → Identity Subjects and select Caller Impersonation as authentication type, so that the J2EE user data is used to log on to the ABAP system.
6. Make sure that the J2EE Application Server is running. Connect to the J2EE Application Server with Deploy → Connect.
7. Deploy the sapjra.rar using the menu Deploy → Deployment → Deploy Module.
8. Enter SAPJRADemo as application name and start the application.
9. Close the deploy tool.
10. Start the Visual Administrator again.
11. Select the Cluster tab and switch to <Server Node> → Services → Connector Container.
12. Click on the Runtime tab and choose sap.com/SAPJRADemo → eis/SAPJRADemoFactory.
13. Choose Managed Connection Factory → Properties. On this page, you need to specify the logon data for the ABAP system. There is already some dummy data visible in the property list if no real system data has been specified so far.
14. To change the value of a property, select the property in the list, change the value underneath it, and add the changes using the Add button. At the end, do not forget to save all changes by pressing the button Save Changes. The user configured for the SAP JRA must be the user authorized to read metadata of function modules.

Installing oracle on Linux using the SAP version of oracle software

I am trying to install 32bit oracle software on Linux 32 bit os using the SAP version of Oracle Install Software downloaded from marketplace. I have downloaded the required exe and rar files and unpacked them on my PC. The unpacked folder is uploaded in bin mode to the respective server under a common mountpoint. In the folder i have 4 .SAR files with other label files etc. I want to unarchive these .SAR files to get the runInstaller but running in to issues.
Here are the steps I tried:
1. I copied the SAPCAR exe from exe directory and tried to unpack the 4 .SAR files but got permission error. All these 4 .SAR files are owned by ora<sid> user id. I tried to do all these under root user still it fails.
ora<sid>@xxxyysapdbXX:/sapdata//Oracle32/51031674> SAPCAR -xvf OR110232.SAR
-bash: ./SAPCAR: cannot execute binary file
what am i missing?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you have a 32bit OS then you need to use the 32bit binaries of SAPCAR - yes.
And:
Usually those SAR files are unpacked by the installation program sapinst, why do you unpack them manually?

first of all, remove your battery and leave it out for five minutes then replace it. see if this solves the problem. if it does not, backp all your data to memory card or the mass storage (16gb) in the phone, or as a backup file .nbu in Nokia PC Suite. then perform a hard reset (*#7370 and *#7780#) to clear the phone to default factory settings. if this still does not work, then try the three-finger hard reset. if this still does not work, you will have to take your phone to your local Nokia Care Centre for them to look at.
remember to do appropriate backup of all your files first. let us know how it goes.

While it is possible you have a faulty unit I'd agree that the menu system took a step backwards with the itunes store centric take 2.0+ software. I think I'm in the minority here though. Apart from the 2.0+ top level interface being butt ugly and confusing to navigate, it simply isn't as responsive as 1.0/1.1 and I think most of this is to do with displaying a combined sync/stream menu. if you sync stuff try setting 'show only synced items' in the AppleTv device tabs in iTunes and see if it makes the issue go away - easy to revert back.
Huge libraries (number of files not actual size of the files) can also be problematic given AppleTV's modest hardware specs but that's more exception than the rule.
With streaming/syncing combined I also think any network deficiencies show up more than they used to.

Op-amp help for a newbe

I'm new to Workbench so I like to start by saying, thank for any and all help.
When I used the stranded scope the input sin was the same as the output sine in voltage, but when I tried the Tektronixi scope and put in 1 mv the output was 3.1 volts dc. Could someone tell what may be going. on.

Correction:
In the current version of the tutorial we use deploy.
However, we will be updating the tutorial next week
with instructions for using asant to package and
deploy.We use deploytool to package and deploy in the current version.
We will add instructions to package and deploy using asant in a version scheduled for release on June 15.

I have multiple apple devices mainly used between me and my wife , my question is that can i have two sets of contacts backed up to icloud one for her devices and one for my devices using the same itunes account

i have two sets of devices one ipad, iphone and mac which i use and one iphone ipad and mac which my wife uses
now is it possible to have two sets of contacts and calendar synchronised for her devices and one for my devices using the same icloud account
i dont want a separate itunes account as we use the same music books and apps to be automatically downloaded which is very convenient

You can set up different iCloud accounts on each device using different Apple IDs (to keep your mail, calendars, contacts, etc. separated), and still share the same iTunes account (in Settings>Store on your device). There is no requirement that you use the same Apple ID for purchases and for iCloud.
