Help for user toolbar in a Form

Hi,
In a form I have created a toolbar with button SAVE, NEW, DEL, QUERY, RUNQUERY, CANCELQUERY and I have a datagrid based on table.
Save, New, Del, and Query work correctly; but if I click on button RUNQUERY or CANCELQUERY no actions are execute.
In the trigger WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED of RUNQUERY button I have entered DO_KEY('EXECUTE_QUERY') and in CANCELQUERY DO_KEY('CALCEL_QUERY').
Instead, After I Click on button QUERY (Enter_Query), I can be able to use the button F8 and Ctrl-Q.
Can You help me in order to resolve this problem ?

Hi Sim,
I have modified the property and now the button ENTERQUERY and EXECUTEQUERY work fine !!!!
But when I click on CANCELQUERY, the error FRM-41009 is displayed.
I have tried either the statements CANCEL_QUERY and ABORT_QUERY, without result.
Have You an idea ?

I need help for user exit mereq001. I think I messed up with include table CI_EBANDB and CI_EBANMEM. And When I tried to check the syntax . It gives me error like : <b>Class IF_PURCHASE_REQUISITION. Inconsistency in the dictionary for the structure mereq_item_s_cust_data.</b> Anyone had experience for this exit? I just need to extract costcenter information of the each item from the requisition and block the requisiton if the costcenter are differents from each other before the requisition is saved. Any one has idea about it?

Have you checked this struture consistency from SE11. Also check the activation log.
If there are any errors and you are not able to rectify the same use RSDDCHECK program, give your table name and run the report.
This will list down the error structures releated this table and also prompts for you to activate it.

Creating HELP for users

Hi!
Does anyone know how I could incorporate already written help into my application, let say via link "Help" in the header of my application. I already have help for users of my application written in .doc file. Is there any way to upload this help (I have docTo Help tool available so I can trnsform this file into .chm file or javahelp file or html help file) into static files and then use it in some way in my application.

Yes, you can make that file available. There are several ways to do it but the easy ways are probably not the best long term strategies. Did you want to start with the easy way anyway?

Search help for user field for WBS element

Hi,
how can I add a search help to one of the user fields for WBS elements without modification? Is there an exit which I can use? I want to have a search help for field PRPS-USR02.

Create an elementary serach help using the Table USR01 or USR03
see the steps
1) Elementary search helps describe a search path. The elementary search help must define where the data of the hit list should be read from (selection method), how the exchange of values between the screen template and selection method is implemented (interface of the search help) and how the online input help should be defined (online behavior of the search help).
2) Collective search helps combine several elementary search helps. A collective search help thus can offer several alternative search paths.
3)An elementary search help defines the standard flow of an input help.
4) A collective search help combines several elementary search helps. The user can thus choose one of several alternative search paths with a collective search help.
5)A collective search help comprises several elementary search helps. It combines all the search paths that are meaningful for a field.
6)Both elementary search helps and other search helps can be included in a collective search help. If other collective search helps are contained in a collective search help, they are expanded to the level of the elementary search helps when the input help is called.
CREATION:
Go to SE11 Tcode
select search help
give the 'z' search help name and create
select the selection method ur table name eg : 'mara'
dialog module 'display value immediately'.
add the field whatever u want and lpos = 1 and spos = 1 and check import and export parameter.
where left position when displaying and spos = search position
and then save and activate ..

Little help for calling report from a form

I AM NOT ABLE TO CALL THE REPORT WITH THE FOLLOWING CODE. PLEASE TELL ME WHERE I AM DOING WRONG! THANKS A LOT!!
It is Oracle 9i and Reports 6i.
-> I have a form with only one BUTTON.
-> I have a REPORT with only one USER PARAMETER 'P_1' which is a number.
-> I have only one query INSIDE the report. It is "SELECT * FROM EMP WHERE EMPNO = :P_1'
-> I added the report to form in the OBJECT NAVAVIGATOR of FORM and the NAME OF REPORT is 'REOPRT4'
here is the code on the form:

Set value for user input in tabular form

Hello all
I have a tabular form wherein I want to set the length of values a user an enter into certain columns.
For an example, column1 should only allow users to input a 5 digit number and no more. Column2 should only allow 6 digits and so on.
Is this something that can be done? and if so, how?

APEX doesn't support that out of the box, it always creates a HTML input item with a maxlength=2000. But have a look at the ApexLib Framework which supports a length property for tabular from fields. Please help for User defined extension functions

the tutorial given for extension functions doesn't work as well as our new functions
even though i follow all the given steps and see the functions in my user defined extension functions tab in xslt map.
all the target nodes that use the extension function disappear in the resulted target xml.
please help.

have you compiled your java file and uploaded the jar file(containg the .class file and the Manifest.MF file) in the <OC4J_HOME>\j2ee\home\applib directory and then restarted the server??

Value Help for Date inverval in Variable Form in Visual Composer

Hi all,
I have created a variable form which has Date interval with value help as one of the parameters.
when i click on the value help and select any date interval then it is displayed as say '20081015:20090101' but when i submit this value i get an error "INVALID_VARIABLE_VALUES".
this variable is working fine when i manually enter the interval as '10/15/2008:01/01/2009'.
is there any way where we can input the date interval value as '10/15/2008:01/01/2009' using the value help.
any help is highly appreciated.

Hi Ramakrishna,
Value help is considered as a popup iview in visual composer. You can change the fields in popup iview like normal iview. Drill down the popup iview of the value help and change the date format using DSTR function.

Hi Sumit,
I think it should be the same one for shopadmin/admin/xcm/init.do, XCM user.
The XCM user is the J2EE visual admin user. J2EE guys know how to create this user based on relevent document, and this has to be done on J2EE server. :P
Usually, the default user is Administrator with password blank. It maight be different for each J2EE version.

Creating Search Help for Web Dynpro ABAP (FPM) Forms

I am very new with SAP HCM P&F with FPM form. I am stuck with field search help functionality in FPM form. I have created on search help using
Web dynpro component to get all travel requests for all employees and linked it to FPM form field and its working fine....
But.... my requirement is how to filter travel request based on the PERNR (employee number) field in FPM form.
I think it can be achieved by using importing parameter LISTENER of interface IF_WD_VALUE_HELP_LISTENER but I am clueless how to pass PERNR to this interface to get travel requests for only employee number in field PERNR.
Kindly help me out in this issue.
