You can specify a policy file and grant the following pemission in it:
grant {
permission java.net.SocketPermission "*:1024-65535","accept, connect, listen, resolve";
Specify this policy file using "-Djava.security.policy=your policy file".
BTW, don't forget to run rmiregistry before you launch your own RMI application.
Good luck!

A couple of days ago I started geting the error msg -Permission denied for to <webpage> get property XPCComponents.classes. It happens with every webpage I visit. If I hit the x in the upper righthand corner I can then access the page. This doesn't have in IE. Any ideas how I could fix this and why it started happening?

Why am I getting these errors Error: Permission denied for (document.domain has not been set) to call method Location.toString on (document.domain=).
== URL of affected sites ==

HOW DO YOU SET THIS??? I'M FRUSTRATED OVER THIS. ITS BEEN 2 MONTHS SINCE I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO PLAY ANY GAMES IN FACEBOOK DUE TO THIS PROBLEM! IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT BROWSER I USE I STILL GET THIS SAME MESSAGE.

  • TS1398 I need help getting connected to our home wifi.

I need help getting connected to our home wifi. I've reset network settings, iPhone, and router  but the error "unable to join network" keeps coming up. I also double checked the password. Please help

    Other possibilities:
Your router firmware is out of date. Check the manufacturer's website for an update
You have MAC (Media Access Control) filtering enabled on the router, that restricts access to "known" devices and the new iPhone is not on the table of known devices
Your router has a setting limiting the number of simultaneous allowed devices
Your routers SSID ("name") is still the default (e.g., LINKSYS, DLINK, NETGEAR, etc). Your phone has encountered other routers with the same name as you have traveled, and the phone is confused as to which router is the real one. If your router's name is still the default you should change it.

  • Permission denied: fopen('/usr/local/ssl/openssl.cnf'

When installing phone software (CounterPath-Bria3) i get an error message in the system: Permission denied: fopen('/usr/local/ssl/openssl.cnf'..) CounterPath is arguing, they use their own SSL library. Does anybody have an idea, how to fix this?

I don't see what you're seeing in my logs. I did recreate the authorized_keys, and reattempted to connect. As before, this is what I'm getting:
    debug1: Next authentication method: publickey
    debug1: Offering public key: /Users/zbeckman/.ssh/id_dsa
    debug3: sendpubkeytest
debug2: we sent a publickey packet, wait for reply
debug1: Authentications that can continue: publickey,gssapi-keyex,gssapi-with-mic,keyboard-interactive
    debug1: Trying private key: /Users/zbeckman/.ssh/identity
    debug3: no such identity: /Users/zbeckman/.ssh/identity
    debug1: Trying private key: /Users/zbeckman/.ssh/id_rsa
    debug3: no such identity: /Users/zbeckman/.ssh/id_rsa
debug2: we did not send a packet, disable method
It seems to me that on my end, we send the public key... and then it just quietly moves on to the next protocol. There is no error message or any indication that something went wrong, or why it would move on to the next protocol.
I've done a cksum on my id_dsa.pub and the remote authorized_keys. They are identical. Both files are owned by me, and readable / writable only by me.

  • Remote XML causes Exception Permission denied to call method XMLHttpRequest.open

Im using google page creator to host my domain, they don't
allow javascript or xml files (the correct mime type/content type
isnt presented so the browser just downloads the file). They do
however support html. I have uploaded the main html page to their
and the javascript files and xml files to my isp that allow .js
& .xml. However, when I call it I get a nice exception.

I'm getting really frustrated by the inability to pull files
from another domain. I downloaded DW and am testing with Spry to
pull property info from a remote site which has dynamic xml files.
It seems incredibly silly to allow http requests to load data if
you can't do it across domains. I just don't see the point. I just
checked your test url fingersuk and I see you stil don't have a
    fix.
It seems pointless to me that you need to set up a CF or PHP
script to pull the remote files to your local server as a proxy!
Surely that defeats the purpose of the whole Spry http request
idea. It's creating more work instead of saving it. Maybe I'm
missing something, it's late and I'm tired and frustrated!
Is it possible to use a domain policy XML file or something
with Spry to include an IP in a sites 'trusted realm'?

  • What can I do to create a disk image when I continue to get the prompt "permission denied"?  I have run the permission repair, restarted the computer and nothing changes.

I want to create a disk image for important information.  I continue to get "Permission Denied" even though I have run the disk utility for repair and verify disk permissions.  Is there a solution for this?

I had same problem as I was trying to build a windows iso following the bootcamp instructions (last evening).  I learned you cannot create a disk image at root due to changes in the operating system made by apple.  As a user (even an admin user) you can only create a disk image below root (such as in your desktop).  Any attempt to creat an image at root will return permission denied.
The Apple Disk Utility (on three macs I have tried so far) defaults to creating an iso image at the root.  If you tell it to create the image - you immediately get a permission denied error.
None of the iso creation instructions I have found on apple site so far speak to this.

  • DNS permission denied for vpn clients?

I have an x-serve setup to allow a client access remotely to a local network via VPN. I'm currently having an issue with the DNS server however, which is not allowing me to do lookups when connected via the VPN:
client 10.0.0.130#59551: view com.apple.ServerAdmin.DNS.public: error sending response: permission denied
The DNS server resolves perfectly fine for physical machines on the local network.

Have you added the range of VPN-assigned addresses to the list of clients the DNS server will respond to?
Server Admin -> (server) -> DNS -> Settings -> Accept recursive queries from the following networks
This will have to include the VPN client address range in order for the DNS server to respond to their queries.

  • Permission denied for root!?

    Hey yall--
Something very odd seems to be happening with my file system, such that I am unable to write to certain directories as root. I don't know exactly when this started, but it has to have been within the last month or so--roughly coinciding with when I upgraded to kernel 2.6.15 (or possibly 2.6.14).
    Here's some background info:
    Some lines from /etc/fstab:
    /dev/hda3 / ext2 defaults 0 1
    /dev/hda11 /usr reiserfs defaults 0 0
    /dev/hda6 /opt reiserfs defaults 0 0
    /dev/hda8 /.devel reiserfs defaults 0 0

    So, like, WTF??
I have Googled for some clues on this (though it's a bit hard to figure out good search terms); I did find one or two hits that seemed relevant, but the respondents suggested running fsck on the affected partition. I've done that and found no errors.
So, what else? Something in my UDev configuration, maybe?

I had a problem like that a week or two ago on a reiser partition, though after running fsck.reiserfs it did find errors & fixed them
But before using them make sure you back up

  • How can I get connection between VC and back end ABAP system

Hi, I'm developing the kits in the VC platform, and I need to access the back end system designed by ABAP. For example, the system provides some public functions(not web services), and I hope when I click the "search" button, the VC front can call the remote functions and get the data from the back end system. In addition to that, the most important is I must keep the connection real-time. How can I do it?

Thanks for your help. At present, my VC version is 7.1.4 which isn't installed in the portal server but in local machine, and I'm new in the VC. What I want is when I click the "search" button(in the properties pannel), I can get the data from the remote server. I know the VC 6 provides similar functions, but the current version doesn't. Could you explain the details of how to get and keep the connection between them? Thanks so much.

  • Cloned volume gets stuck at boot "Waiting for Network File System"

I've used "Carbon Copy Cloner" many times with success and no problems (v 2.3 , default settings, make destination bootable) as I migrated to larger drives or make backups in advance of a major OS upgrade.
Last time I was successful, I was at OS 10.3.5. I use 3rd drive to boot my Mac, then clone the one non-boot drive to the other. I do the disk repairs & permission repairs as the normal course of this process, before & after. I am now at 10.3.9. I am do this clone in prep to go to 10.4 so I have a good back in the event of later problems.
When I attempt to boot from the newly cloned partition, it goes fine on the boot process until it hangs at the "Waiting for Network File System" step and never gets past there. I've never had this happen before. I retired all the steps, even ran "Diskwarrier", but no change.
I am not trying to run from a remote or network drive, just a 2nd drive in my
G4 from which I have previously been able to boot (until this last clone attempt that is).
I googled the symptoms ""Waiting for Network File System"", found it to be common, but no real answers. Is this one of those annoying UNIX things? Any ideas how to fix / turn-off whatever is hanging the boot up? Thanks in advance!

    Hi Kool,
So there seems to be a "speed-bump" around 10.3.9. No wonder I have had the same results with a different tint. I went to Drive Genius to clone this one. Results with that were interesting.
If I did a [Device] clone, it would take and show at start with 'option' key... and work just like my internal with 3 accounts on it... login and proceed like it was internal. If I did a [Volume] clone, it would not show up at start with the 'option' key... I'd have to boot it from System Preferences > Start-up Drive. Once booted, it had no login screen so all the files were accessible. I took the clone of this 3 account PB and tried it on an iBook. Had to boot from System Preferences too, also, all the account were accessible from that machine... implying that anyone who had that drive could get past/into my files that would be secure on my computer, but not on the clone. If I took the [Device] clone and booted from the ibook at start with the option key, it would not get past the login screen... altho the mouse worked and I could click on the name, that was as far as it got, Froze.
So, I have figured, for safety, a [Device] clone is it, as long as the original computer lives. The safety features for login seem to be hardwired in the chip that the clone was made from (The iBook had 2 accounts but not my 3). If safety is not an issue, the [Volume] clone is fine... like moving to a newer OS on the same computer. It would seem from your experimentations that the situations with this 10.3.9 is just a hick-up and is solved in 10.4.3 with CCC v3...
Thanks for your info... I am thinking of going to Tiger, but I am so fond of this Panther...

  • How to fix permission denied for home folder with Apache in Mavericks?

I recently activated the apache that ships with OS X Mavericks. I followed some tutorial to set up the web-server, however. When I browse to my home-filter at http://localhost/~nazeem, I get the following error: You don't have permission to access /~nazeem/ on this server.
    Installation steps
To set up the webserver, I took the following steps:
    1. activated the webserver with command: apachectl start
    2. enabled PHP by checking if the module is loaded
    3. checked if the home folder module is loaded
    4. made the user based configuration file, in /etc/apache2/users/nazeem.conf The content is as follows:
    <Directory "/Users/nazeem/Development/Websites/">
Options Indexes MultiViews FollowSymLinks AllowOverride All
    </Directory>
    Permissions
    ~/nazeem : drwxr-xr-x+ ~/nazeem/Development : drwxr-xr-x ~/nazeem/Development/Websites : drwxr-xr-x
    Log
The apache log says the following:
[Mon May 19 21:22:57 2014] [error] [client ::1] client denied by server configuration: /Users/nazeem/Sites
In my opinion this is remarkable, as the path /Users/nazeem/Sites is nog what I defined in my user configuration.
    Versions
    OS X Mavericks 10.9.3
    Apache 2.2.26
Does anybody know how to solve this?

You will have to contact the author of that tutorial and ask. Apache can be configured an infinite number of ways. You seem to be attempting to configure it in two conflicting methods. You can define specific directories on your web server or you can use mod_userdir. You can't hack up a combination of the two.
I posted my own User Tip on how to configure Apache: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3083
This user tip only covers mod_userdir and will serve content out of $(HOME)/Sites. I strongly suggest starting there and only trying a custom location later, if you see the need.
