Help I'm new with Tiger server!!!

I already installed Tiger on my power mac g4 and it runs fine what I want to be able to do is put files on it from my windows network. I really only want to be able to access it from my windows 7 laptop, that is on the network. It only needs to be a file server and I don't want it to be as slow as file shareing.

This is the Snow Leopard Server (10.6) and not Tiger Server (10.4) forum
The Mac machine has a Server OS or client?

  • Problems with Tiger Server SSL after attempting to update cert

I have been getting an error message saying that my SSL is self-signed even though it is a GeoTrust cert.
I deleted the certificate that was there and had my cert re-issued in order to try to remedy this problem and now my SSL site prevents the server's Web services from starting.
The error I am getting from log says:

I suggest you ask in the Tiger server forum.

  • HELP!!! moderated News with collabra server!

    hi all
first of all sorry for my bad english!
i installed the collabra news server succesfully. any groups and subjects areas works
    perfectly.
... but i don't understand how i can manage the moderated news. i created a moderated news group on my server. i posted a text form a client to this moderated news group.
... afterwards i've received a mail and the newsgroup is still empty. this is correct i think.
BUT HOW CAN I ACCEPT THIS NEWS ENTRYS?
i found only following sentenses in the netscape documenatation:
The moderator will need to set the NS_NEWSCONF environment variable in the nsnews.conf file to the full pathname of the nsnews.conf file.
When moderators receive a message for approval, they can save the message to a file, and edit the message to remove the moderator header information.
To approve an article, the moderator runs the inews command on the article, as shown in the following example:
    inews -h -a [email protected] filename_article
The -h option indicates that the file contains headers; the -a option indicates that the file is approved.
    what this means? i set the NS_NEWSCONF environment! i found a inews.exe file! but i can't
open it (dos window close after a short command)! where can i found the news entrys?
hopefully anyone has experience with moderated collabra news!
    thanks
    danny

I have a whole lot of bad news for you. I apologize in advance.
First, this is an iPlanet Application Server forum. Most people here are unlikely to know anything about Collabra or any other Netscape products. (Except NAS, of course.)
My second piece of bad news is that Collabra has been discontinued for over two years. I'm surprised that you were even able to find a CD. Collabra is as dead as dead gets.
I wasn't even able to find you a newsgroup or mailing list that deals with Collabra. I expect that very few people use Collabra these days.
It sounds harsh, but my best advice is to get rid of Collabra immediately. You will not be able to get any support for it. Even finding someone knowledgable enough about it to answer a question is going to be extremely difficult. I don't even think you could obtain a license for it today, so there are might even be legal issues about trying to use the software.
If you need an NNTP server, I'd suggest looking at the open source alternatives. If you are just looking for collaboration software, and NNTP isn't necessarily a requirement, I'd look at the web based collaboration products available on the market.

  • Help me trooubleshoot hsodbc with SQL Server

    Hi,
I need ideas on how I can find the problem I have with setting up a generic connectivity to SQL Server
via a database link and heterogeneous services.
Oracle version is 10.2.0.1.0 on Windows Server 2003
I create a SYSTEM DSN to a SQL Server 2000.
    The DSN tests "successfully".
I used a third party query tool (SQL Assistant) to query the SQL Server db using the DSN and it works fine.
I added this to the tnsnames.ora file
    myconn =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = myoracleserv)(PORT = 1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA=(SERVICE_NAME=myconn))
    (HS=OK)
I added this to the listerner.ora file:
    (under the "SID_LIST_LISTENER =" portion)
    (SID_DESC =
    (SID_NAME = myconn)
    (ORACLE_HOME = E:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1)
    (PROGRAM = hsodbc)
    I created a file called initmyconn.ora under /hs/admin
    with this in it:
    HS_FDS_CONNECT_INFO = myconn
    HS_FDS_TRACE_LEVEL = odbc
then I created the database link
    create database link myconn
    connect to myuser
    identified by mypwd
    using 'myconn';
When I run a simple query, I get
ORA-28545 error diagnosed by Net8 when connecting to an agent
Unable to retrieve text of NETWORK/NCR message 65535
ORA-02063: preceding 2 lines from MYCONN
    TNSPING works fine.
    I don't have any logs in hs/trace/
I also successfully installed 3 other HS connections to SQL Server on the same machine, they all work.
    Any help in troubleshooting this?
    thanks,

The 28545 error is a configuration error in the SQL*Net layer - HSODBC executable isn't spawned and thus you do not get a hsodbc trace/log file.
To analye the issue, please provide the listener status (lsnrctl status).

  • Indesign CS2 Crashing with Tiger Server

I have two different companies dealing with exactly the same problem as such:
G5 Xserve (OS X Server 10.4.7) Indesign CS2. While working on files from the server, tools such as gradient, transparency, etc will consistently cause Indesign to Quit. If we drag the file over to the local desktop to work on it, it's fine. This problem just started cropping up with one machine at company "A" about a month ago. It has now affected more than one machine at company "A" and also just appeared today at company "B". Any solutions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

  • FTP issue with Tiger server

We have one server where all users are (for some reason) able to use FTP to not only read, but write files to their desktops. I have logged in as two different uses. Both users have read-only rights on the folders I am accessing, but they can browse the folders and copy items straight to their desktop as if they have read and write access. For the time being, I have turned off FTP on the server because I do not know why the OS is behaving this way. Any ideas? Thanks for your input. As well, the users are not in any groups if that helps.

I don't understand the question - users should be able to read/write their own home directory, regardless of the method they use to connect (e.g ssh, FTP, AFP, etc.).

  • Leopard client on Tiger Server

    Hello All,
I'm the sysadmin hat wearer at work. We're running PHD and OD for a collection of iMacs in the office here with Tiger Server and Tiger Clients, (runs well).
However, we just hired a new guy and have a new iMac coming in with Leopard on it. I've seen posts out there saying there are a lot of problems getting a Leopard Client to work with a Tiger Server. Unfortunately our Tiger server config has been customized so much over the last couple of years that I'm just not ready undertake the upgrade on the server OS yet and will likely just buy a new server down the road anyway.
My question is, should I downgrade the new machine coming in to Tiger or cross my fingers and try to make the Leopard client work with the Tiger Server, what kind of issues should I be expecting/watching for?
Any insight would be much appreciated!

    Hi
You may want to consult this post:
    http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=7295681#7295681
Not entirely relevant but it does contain something that might be useful? You are only talking about one Leopard client so it should not be that much of a problem? Although how far you have customized your environment from the 'norm' - whatever that is - may affect how successful you are?
If its a new model iMac I doubt very much if you can 'downgrade' anyway. Have a look at the mac specific system disks that come with it as that will be the lowest version OS that can be installed. You may be able to downgrade it with some effort if you really try - I doubt it - but what would be the point of that? 'Breaking' something to 'fix' an unknown is never really successful is it?
As for posts mentioning problems? That is what the forum is for. It does not necessarily follow that you will see those problems. There are just as many - if not more - with little or no problems who - of course - don't post.

  • Updating MySQL in Tiger Server

Is there a reliable and relatively painless way to update the ancient version of MySQL that's included with Tiger Server?

That is an extremely loaded question.
On one end, it's trivial to download the latest version of MySQL and install it.
That is not the issue for most people, though. If you're hoping to get it to work with Apple's GUI tools, well you're out of luck, but you're more than welcome to run it manually, using other admin options - the same as you would on any other OS.
Then comes your data. No one can tell you what will happen to your data if you install a different version. If you have very simple database schema with a small amount of data it may just work. If you have terabytes of multi-relational database tables well, you're going to need to examine the data, the schema, and the version changes to see what you need to do (if anything) to your data.
Additionally, the data may just work but it may be slower until you perform MySQL 5.x-based optimizations - the specifics of which will, again, depends on your data.

  • Neboot, 10.5.2 image from OSX Tiger Server fails to new macbooks

(I apologize in advance, I looked through several threads but could not find answer
to my situation. I also apologize because I tried to get help at the Bombich forum,
but an admin marked it "solved", when in fact it isn't.
Thus I turn to the Apple faithful for help with this matter.)
Using NetRestore 3.4.3, and I'm imaging MacBook (early 2008) labs,
    with 26 MBs in them.
How I Do it: I get one MB, and using Leopard from OEM, I then patch
up to Leo 10.5.2/QT 7.4.5/Safari 3.1 and I install the elementary apps
necessary ( Kid Pix 3, Kidspiration 2, and Nystrom).
I also install Office 2004, patched up to 11.4.1, and iWorks 08.
I verify the image is correct, and then firewire connect the MB
to my Master machine, a MBP running 10.5.2 and NetRestore 3.4.3.
I then create the NetRestore image from the MB, and then create the NetInstall
nbi for the image. I then copy the items from the MBP to my imaging server,
a PPC iMac running OS X Server 10.4.11, via FW.
I then set the Netboot options in the Server, and reboot the server for good measure.
I then start hooking up the 25 MBs into a Cisco 2950 switch, which the
Server is hooked into. I then boot all machines into NetBoot ( cmd-n)
and image ( slowly) all the machines.
    The Problem:
Once the images have been created on the machines, and after reboot,
I then log into as the local admin, then set the server binding.
Once the binding is complete, I log out, and then verify the binding sticks.
I then log in as a managed user.
This is where the image "breaks". The managed user becomes locked out
of most Universal apps, and apps that should run under Rosetta,
come up with their icons changed to the "ghostbusters circle"
(Circle with line through it), and give the error " This application cannot run
due to it not being supported on this architecture".
However, if I log back in as local admin, the applications act as normal.
Also, if I log in or log out as a managed user, the system often hangs,
either at login or logout, leaving me with just the Leopard space screen,
and will sometimes force me to force quit the
system to get it to respond again.
Contacting Apple, their only suggestion was to start again, but to use SUI
from a Leopard Server Disc, which I didn't have but they were nice enough
to send to me anyway, and create the NetBoot off of that.
I decided however to give NetBoot one more try, and tried it again,
this time making sure I repaired permissions on the original image
(MB) before making the NetBoot image in NR 3.4.3.
I still recieve the same problems afterwards.
I then did a test in which I created both a second local admin account and
a local standard account, and both acted like a managed account:
apps could not be used, "ghostbuster circles" and log in/ log out hangs.
I'm hesitant to use Leopard SIU, because I read all the reports of it's slowness,
but is there something in 10.5.2 that breaks Netbooting?
I've had no problems with Tiger Images in the past, so I'm pretty sure
    i got my steps down.
    Update in my testing :
Today I decided to try and troubleshoot the image again, so this time
I took the existing MacBook I used to make the image from,
and I re-installed the problematic applications again,
as well as delete the secondary admin and the standard user
from my config, as I would add these later after the computers
    have been imaged.
I then ran fix disc permissions on the image drive, and now I am using
Net Restore 3.4.4, to remake the image andwhen done, I will re- create
    the nbi for the netinstall.
I will test out the image shortly to see if it will work.
    ok, follow-up:
after completing my new image and re-creating through NetRestore 3.4.4,
as well as new nbi's, I copied them over FireWire to my OS X Tiger .4.11 Server.
Set Netboot in Server Admin, made the Leopard image the default, restarted
    the server.
Attached a new MacBook IC2D 2.4ghz to my Cisco Switch that the Server is on,
    and attempted NetBoot.
Net Restore came on and began it's duty. 36 mins later, the image was on,
verified, and the machine was rebooting.
Upon reboot, I logged into the MacBook, as the primary admin,
and verified the UniBi apps and the PPC apps would launch correctly.
I then created the Standard account ( Student) on the machine,
and the logged out and then back in as Student to test.
All Privalges for Student were correct, and the UniBi and PPC apps functioned
    correctly.
I then logged out as Student , back in as Primary Admin ( me) and then
went to System Prefs and created the Secondary Admin (Teacher) for
    the machine.
I then logged out as Primary Admin, and then logged in as Secondary
Admin, and verified the UniBi and PPC apps would launch.
I then recieved the "This App is not supported under this architecture"
error with the UniBi and PPC apps under this secondary admin.
I logged out, and then logged back in as Primary Admin (me), and everything
still was working correctly under my account.
I then trashed the Secondary Admin ( Teacher), and created a new secondary admin
    (called simply School).
I then logged out as Primary Admin, logged in as School, and same errors
occur, "This App is not supported under this architecture"
error with the UniBi and PPC apps.
I then called one of the PPC app makers Tech Support to see if they had seen
    anything like this under Leopard.
Of course they hadn't, but after digging around, we decided to try this fix:
Logged in as Primary Admin, I did a get info on the folder of the app
    that was" breaking".
I then added the Secondary Admin to the Get Info panel and gave them
a full ride ( rw) privalges to the folder. I then told the Panel to
push them down ( propagate) to all children within the folder, including the app.
I then closed out of the Panel, logged out as admin, and then logged in
as Secondary admin. I then tested the app, and success, it launched
    perfectly!!!
So at this point, I would say there is something more to the point
problematic with Leopard .5.2 's ability to distinguish privileges
to non Leopard based apps. Apps like the iLife 08 suite, and
iWorks 08 didn't exhibt any of the problems I saw with Unibi
and PPC apps under the secondary admin account; they worked as they should.
At this point, I will add this "fix" to my list of drudgery that I do
in finalization of the machine, like setting binding to the local
OS X Server for Managed Accounts, which is next on my list to test,
as that is also problematic with these Leopard .5.2. installs.
Ok, so in part two to continue with my problems
with 10.5.2 image and using NetRestore 3.4.4:
I took the image out to test in a wide deployment.
So with my same Tiger Server having the image,
and my trusty Cisco 2950 switch,
I set up 8 Macbooks to begin the deployment.
The first four I turned on and got connected to the
Server and they began to Netboot fine.
MacBooks five through 8, I then tried to boot them up
and get them in line to begin netbooting, but after taking up to
10 minutes to connect to the server, they all came up with the following
    error:
"You do not have read privileges to the source image. Please check
the permissions on the image and try again."
The first four were still imaging just fine, the next four would just hang
    at that error message.
So I waited for one to completely finish out of the first four,
and when it did, I tried to netboot one of the second group
of four, and after 10 minutes, it connected and began it's process.
I then tried another in the second group of four, and got the same
    "privileges on image" error.
    So what gives?
Why can I only do four machines at a time? I know the image is
fine and its permissions are ok, because I can do four machines
at a time. It's when I try to do more than that then the problem
    occurs.
Is this a Leopard issue or a Net Restore 3.4.4. issue?
Well, just for grins, I put a PPC eMac onto the CISCO 2950,
and attempted a Netboot from it with the Leopard Universal image,
just to see if it would mount ( the emac is 700 mhz, so it would not
    support Leopard anyway).
It attempted Netboot, but came back with the same
"cannot read the disc image error" as seen on the
    MacBooks.
But the image worked fine on the first four MacBooks,
only when I attempted to NetBoot #5 did it cause the error.
Could trying to put on that fifth Macbook corrupted the image somehow?
    or the NBI?

While patiently waiting to see if anyone else is having my same issues,
I tried a Firewire hookup to my 10.4 server directly
of Macbooks 5 and 6, and tried a Netrestore through Firewire to the Macbooks
off the same image in my NetBootSp0's Resources/Disc Image folder,
and it restored fine to both , with only one error, that came up when it
tried to auto-restart, but I suspect that having to do with it
being unable to shut down the 10.4.11 Server more than anything else.
    So:
    1. the Image is valid, I can firewire restore from it at the server level
    no problem.
    2. It did do four MacBooks before saying it was "corrupted" and
    "Could not read the image".
    3. The Machines all boot into the Leopard NetBoot screen just fine
through the Cisco 2950 switch, and get the nbi to bring up, but
at the point it should auto run, it throws up the "corrupted" and
"Could not read the image" errors.
Unfortunately, I am under a deadline to image 540 MacBooks within the
next 30 days, and my patience is wearing thin......

  • Email won't set up on new computer and leopard, did fine with tiger

A friend has a new mac book with leopard. I've tried to help up email through a local ISP (snowcrest.net) and it won't recognize the server.
When adding the same account to a iMac with Tiger, it works fine.
Is there a manual way to change the port when using the "easy add" method?
The incoming mail server is: mail.snowcrest.net
    The outgoing is: mail.snowcrest.net.
Should the port be at 25?
    Thanks for any help.
    Anne Z

Same problem here. I want to create an account for my wife, but when, in Mail, I give in her e-mail address, pop-server and password, it tries to connect to the server - no avail.
I check this in Tiger, and the connection is created without any problem. So please, fix this Leopard bug!

  • Help for first install of macpro with osx server

    Hello to all
it's my first message on this forum, i'm seeking for help because i'm kind of new with Mac systems.
    I'm gonna explain the problem
So we are going to buy a mac pro and put 4*2To inside with raid 5 and osx server.
The problem is that the cost of installation of sotwre and deployement etc is really expensive.
I need to create a vpn too, this mac pro is gonna be a storage and multiple users must have acces to it. In fact this mac will be connected on the router and users will acces to it on local network then later we're gonna move from our base so the mac will be at the home of one of us and other users will have to access it from outside.
I was thinking avoyding cost of install by doing it myself.
So i've thinked that the best way to do it is by asking help to the community.
Is anyone can help me with this or tell me where i can find tutorials to do it?
I have skills but this is hard form me. The thing is that i learn fast. But i need help.
Maybe my post is not really clear i write as it comes to me, english is not my langage too.
So feel free to ask me questions or informations if you need.
In the same time i'm reading posts on the foum about this kindof installations.
    Thank u so much
    .anto.

    Dear Marcassin
i am happy to help to your problem .
first i would say you must read the Documentation. and you should familier with Mac Os installation System.
in your Mac Server DVD you will find the schedule sheet . print that and plan your server first. it will really help full. then come and list down the all the requirements.
may be you will need more services after that.
But again again again . read that sheet and fill all the requirements. and come back or read specific captors in the Documentation.
if you want more details about the installing sachira.herath at gmail

I bought a new imac running Loin with Office 2011. I am the only mac in the office and the Server we use to access emails runs exchange 2003 and my IT person says the imac is not compatible with the server. The server does not want to let me access using any email software other than webmail access through our website. It looks as though 2011 is not compatible with 2003 per some searches online, but what are some options I have to gain full access again? I purchased parallels in hopes that this my help and I am able to use remote desktop connection to log on to server but can not drag and drop files I need. There is a shared drive on that Server we all use to exchange files.
The two main issues are gaining access to my email again and ability to drag and drop files from mac to pc. I hope this is enough info to get some solutions.
PS - IT person says my iMac's IP is what his server does not understand so that is why I can not login.

Office 2011 is not compatbile with Exchange 2003.
I suggest you post further Office related questions on Microsoft's own forums for their Mac software:

  • Basic tiger server printing to network printer issues - HELP :)

Hi everyone, Im after some help as im running out of ideas, here is my basic setup: (sorry i have rambled on a bit
current 192.168.0.x network that has ADSL, PC's HP Laserjet 5Si network printer.
Connected to that is my Tiger server with 2 lan ports, one is connected to that network and the other connected to a switch where I run all my macs - the server is a basic file and software update server.
macs connected to the server get a 192.168.2.x address and can access the internet and each other etc - all is happy.
now - I had my personal macbook pro connected directly to the first network to access the printer, works fine and fairly quickly but was unable to access the server (i imagine because the server thinks i was from the big bad internet from the .0.x range
once i connected to the other network served by the mac server i could access all the files fine but printing would not work, so i thought I would have the server access the printer as it has access to both networks and just share it to the local macs.
well when i add it and put in the 192.168.0.71 address it connects and loads the GIMP HP5si driver, but when it tried to print it takes up to 5 mins to show that its finished, but only sometimes does the printer actually fire up, and the times it did it never printed the whole page...
The only thing i can think of is that the server is trying to print to the .0.x address'ed printer but using the .2.x address range, possibly confusing the systems.., im not too familiar with all the firewall/NAT settings ,i think i have everything turned off, but its still not working..
If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated, im not sure what else to do.
    Thank you for your time

This sounds more like a protocol or a driver issue rather than an addressing issue. Which protocol is being used to connect to the printer? You mention the GIMP driver gets loaded, which I read that it's an automatic function rather than you having to manually browse to the driver.
Also, I would look at trying the Gutenprint drivers from Sourceforge rather than the included GIMP-Print.
The other thing would be to check the cups error log on the server. It could give some clues as to why the spool file is taking so long.

  • Hi, I want to downgrade from OSX LEOPARD to OSX TIGER but I have a few questions regarding this. My iMac is originally from 2007 it came preloaded with tiger. I have original install tiger discs version 10.4.10. Is it safe to downgrade or not please help

Hi, I want to downgrade from OSX LEOPARD to OSX TIGER but I have a few questions regarding this. My iMac is originally from Sep 2007 it came preloaded with tiger. I have original install (2) tiger discs version 10.4.10.  I want to know if it is safe and what are the necessary steps to do so. Also by downgrading im wondering if a lot of apps nowadays support tiger for example I have photoshop version 5 and 4 these are very important to me. One last question does anyone know of any reliable virus protection for mac that doesnt slow down your computer? because I have read that a lot of them do so. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it! Here are the specs for my iMac

Most of the time a perception of general slow performance is the result of installing third party junk alleged to speed up, "clean" or "optimize" your Mac, or to look for viruses that don't exist. Ideally you would know what you installed so you can uninstall it, but if you don't know or aren't sure there are techniques such as Safe Mode and creating a temporary user account to confirm that suspicion.
If you open Activity Monitor it may show a process, or processes, that occupy a lot of your system's time.
Slowness confined solely to web browser activity is often the result of an inexorable progress toward websites that demand ever more processor-intensive tasks. If your slow performance is strictly limited to web browsing, you might try disabling Flash by either uninstalling it, or use utilities such as ClickToFlash that allow you to control what Flash content gets loaded. Flash in itself is not inherently evil, but there is nothing to stop websites or the advertisers who pay for them from writing horrible Flash code that can do everything from hogging 100% of your CPU's time to causing random crashes. You can watch Activity Monitor as in the above to correlate these troublesome web pages with performance degradation.
You are correct; if your computer shipped with Tiger you may certainly revert to it. I forgot that Tiger was shipping on new Macs as recently as five years ago. To downgrade it would be necessary to completely erase your hard disk and boot with the Tiger installation DVD, followed by installing it anew. Such drastic measures are not necessary and you are unlikely to be satisfied with the results anyway.
Assuming your system is free of third party parasitic junk attached to OS X in an ill-conceived attempt to improve upon it, that your hard disk drive is sound and the boot volume has enough free space to work with, by far the best performance-enhancing improvement would be to add more memory. Buy as much as your computer can use and that you can afford. 2 GB is not that much any more.

  • Help needed with streaming server

hello. i work with a firm that provides hosting. one of our
clients has asked if it was possible to use a streaming server from
flash. now, to try it out, i've downloaded the trial version for
the flash media server 2. i've read through the documentation, but
i still cannot make it do what i want. as an example, i've
downloaded the 'dynamic playlist' example. i've set it up
completely as it's said on the site tutorial, yet i cannot connect
with the server. before you ask, yes, the server is running and the
application is loaded. the only thing i've really changed in the
example is the url of the server inside the xml file. when i test
the flash in flash pro 8, i get the message
NetConnection.Connect.Failed, no matter what address i use, be it
localhost, the internal ip address of the firm, or the external ip
address for access via the net. admitted, i'm not the most
knowledgable person on flash, but i still need to get that server
    running.
obviously, my boss wants that server up and running as soon
as possible. can someone help me to set it up so i can make a
    connection with the server?
i can be reached at [email protected] thanks in advance to those
    willing to help.

    Hi,
    please try this sample:
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashcom/articles/broadcast.html
The simplest sample works like this:
    1. Create a subdirectory in your [FMS_HOME] called "tutorial"
    2. Create a subdirectory in tutorial called "streams"
    3. Create a subdirectoy in streams called "video" (or use
    _definst_)
    4. Create a flv file using Flash Video and save it in your
    "video" directory.
The server structure should look like this:
    [FMS_HOME]
    |------- applications
    ______|---------- tutorial
    ____________|---------- streams
    ___________________|----------- video
    ___________________________|---- videoToPlay.flv
Now you can play the stream from within your flash
    application.
The quickest application is created like this:
    1. Create a video instance (right click in "Library" and
select "new video", name it "video" and make sure it's action
script controlled. Then pull it onto the stage and make sure you
give the instance a name, e.g. "myVideo")
    2. Now you need 5 lines of code.
    // a connection
    nc = new NetConnection();
    nc.connect("rtmp://localhost/tutorial/video"); // Important:
No / (slash) at the end
// Create stream onto your connection
    ns = new NetStream(nc);
// Link your display to the stream
    myVideo.attachVideo(ns);
// myVideo is the name of your video's instance (see above)
    // play the video
    ns.play("videoToPlay");
    // videoToPlay for videoToPlay.flv
    I hope this helps!
