I have download the javabluetooth.org api from javabluetooth.com and
but where install it? in the package of WTK22? Help me?
I want to connect my cell phone via bluetooth from my pc desktop,
where there is an application j2se or j2me (???) that must forwards
the data read on serial port (com "X") on my cell phone (where should
be a midlet
for the visualization of data).
My development environment is :eclipseME,and WTK22 with Series 60 2nd
Edition SDK for Symbian OS Supporting Feature Pack 3 for MIDP.
Additionally for the bluetooth connection i have a bluetooth usb
adapter of Trust,and so what stack initialization code I must usedhave
to use in the programs?

Anyhow, i am making the my final year project related to Bluetooth and i am trying to use AVETANA which can be dowloaded from the following link:

After u visit this link u will see that, avetana require three bluetooth address. I have inputed the address 22:22:22:22:22:22 ( or 22-22-22-22-22-22). I have extracted this address from start-run-ipconfig/all after i install the device dirver software "BlueSoleil_1.6.2.1" in Win XP OS. My bluetooth dongle is "ISSC Bluetooth Device" which i extracted from Device Manager (Start - Right Click My computer - Properties - Hardware - Device Manager). Moreover my VID and UID of the bluetooth dongle is "USB\VID_1131&PID_1001". I have even cheked the microsoft XP site

for the sake of conformation that whether my bluetooth dongle is supported my Win XP sp2 and the above VID and UID is not present there.
Now the problem is that site doesnot accept my above written address, and so i am unable to download the avetana,,,
In the end(after searching on the net) I have concluded that might the following reason may be there:
1) my bluetooth dongle is either of some local company manufacturer which is not recognized by win XP
2) i am using wrong device driver
3) i am unable to configure properly the bluetooth device.
Moreover, even after installing the device driver (BlueSoleil_1.6.2.1) i am unable to see any bluetooth icon in the Control panel so that i can see/change the bluetooth property.
Plz help me up..
and if i am thinking correct, which company dongle i should purchase or which other bluetooth stack (say like atinav, BlueCove) i should use...
I even want to know that with respect to stack (say atinav) i need to purchase the dongle or not..
moreover, i donot want to buy any stack as this is only my academic project so i donot have so much money to buy a stack (like atinav)

PLEASE HELP - Fujitsu Lifebook 6120D and Bluetooth...

Fujitsu uses software called Plug Free and this is only compatible with Fujitsu products - NOT Nokia phones. Seems ridiculous, but according to the Fujitsu support line, Bluetooth was not so common in 2004 when I purchased my laptop. They won't help me at all - and telling me that the latest FJ laptops are Nokia compatible is no use and seriously annoying!
In control panel, Nokia Connection Manager - there are no detected devices.when I search I get message 'Cannot use the connection type. Check that all the needed hardware, software and drivers are available.'
The FJ Plug Free software can make the connection -but only allows the following services:
OBEX File transfer,
Dial Up networking,
Serial,
OBEX push.
Under other services is the Nokia PC Suite which I can select, click 'add service and connect' but then - nothing happens and I am still not connected. In PC Suite it still states there are no devices found.
Apologies that this is garbled - but its late and I am rather tired and fed up with it.

I also wasn't able to connect my Lifebook 6120 via the plugfree software when I got my new Nokia phone and the required new version of the PC suite
The problem is, PC Suite only supports the Microsoft bluetooth stack and not the Plugfree software any more. But the Microsoft stack is not installed for the built-in-bluetooth-device on the lifebook (by ALPS in my Lifebook).
The good news is: the Microsoft stack is able to handle built-in-bluetooth if you just know how to make it work.
Prerequisites: Windows XP SP2 (or later).
What to do:
1. Open the device manager and write down the device id for your bluetooth-device. For me it was: USB\Vid_044e&Pid_3001&Rev_0336&MI_00
2. Open the file WINDOWS\INF\BTH.INF with notepad.
3. Move to the section ";------------- Device section - Start -----------------------"
4. In the section "[ALPS.NT.5.1]" insert an additional line:
Lifebook (Alps) Bluetooth USB Adapter= BthUsb, USB\Vid_044e&Pid_3001&Rev_0336&MI_00
This tells Windows to use the driver "BthUsb" (Bluetooth USB) for the device with the ID at the end. Make sure that ID fits the ID you found out in step 1
5. Save the file.
6. Go to the device manager. Maybe it's best to remove the old driver first, but it might also work if you don't do that. Start a search for new devices or drivers for your bluetooth device. I suggest you then choose manual selection of the driver. The old one and your new one should show up.Choose the new one!
7. That's it! Maybe you need to reboot. A bluetooth icon should show up in the task bar on the right which gives you access to bluetooth. There you can connect with your mobile and PC suite should be able to connect!
This is a rough outline I wrote down after I figured out how to do it. Some steps might require minor changes, and my windows is even to German edition, so the name of the Windows programs might be called slightly different on your OS.
I hope this is helpful for anyone who already wanted to give up (as I was about to do) after extensive internet searches that probably were not helpful.

Conflict Between Toshiba Bluetooth Stack and Power Drawers on Tecra M5

There seems to be a bug in TosBtShell.dll and I'm hoping this alert might get it repaired in a future revision. Maybe also it will save others the considerable effort it cost me to track down the problem on my new Tecra M5. I've had to abandon Toshiba Bluetooth Stack and now use the one in XP SP2.
When Bluetooth Manager is running, TosBtShell.dll puts the item 'to Bluetooth' next to 'Send To' in the context menu for files and folders. Unfortunately it conflicts with the shell enhancement software Power Drawers http://www.dynamickarma.com/powerdrawers.htm that I rely on to speed up access to my computer files. This software lets you right-click on a folder to display its contents in a list. You can then mouse to any folder in the list and that one also expands as a sub-list - and so on as deep as you like until you reach the folder or file that you want. Right-click an item in the cascade and you get a list of useful options. However if Bluetooth Manager is running when you do the right-click, Power Drawers crashes and you have to close and reopen explorer.exe to get it back.
The conflict stops if you remove 'to Bluetooth' from the context menu for files and folders. I proved this by using ShellExView from Nirsoft http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html to disable the Registry key 'Bluetooth File Extenstion' [sic]. This key is associated with C:\WINDOWS\system32\TosBtShell.dll and CLSID {6BEF3D0B-53F0-4b0d-B91C-C19ED3D4C9D1}. Unfortunately the Registry key comes back again whenever you restart Bluetooth Manager.

I forgot to say in my original posting that the problem still exists in the current version of Toshiba Bluetooth Stack that I downloaded on 6th July from the Bluetooth page.
R2D2, your 'recommendation' would be useful if the site showed in detail what bugs have been fixed. I tried the new version because, although there was no mention of a fix for context menu issues, it does mention that "minor bug-fixes" have been made. I discovered the hard way that these fixes do not deal with the issue I described.
My experience with new Toshiba laptops over the past 15 years is that the update documentation seldom states clearly enough what has changed when new software versions appear. Yet such information could save users a lot of time.
Changing the Bluetooth stack from Microsoft to Toshiba and back is not a five-minute task.
But it seems that the MS Bluettooth stack works with Power Drawers

I have a working program right now..But it lacks some things to be done..It already does the stacks and queues..But still it doesnt print the info on the desired output file outTwo.dat..Both the stacks and queues should be printed on it..Also it has to compute the total commission on categories 1 and 2...and put it again on the outTwo.dat..Any kind hearted people would want to help me here?Here's the assignment detail...Thank YOU!!!!

While trying to import pictures from iPhone to iTunes, iTunes request to make software update and then to restore iPhone. I have cancelled the restore to rpotect pictures. The pictures have not been imported yet, but the iPhone display freezed at ITune connection page. Please help me save pictures and use the iPhone as usual. PI 7.1(dual stack) and PI 7.31(Single stack) -

Friends,
I have a proxy to proxy scenario - Proxy --> PI --> Proxy
We have two servers PI 7.1(dual stack) and PI 7.31(Single stack)
i did the development in ESR and my ESR is pointing to PI 7.1, when i execute the scenario i receive one error message "receiver could not be determined", i ensured that all my input is correct, still i get the same error message.
the expectation is my scenario should point to PI 7.31, Can some one help me where and what settings i need to make in-order to make it work.
Please Note: All my data is correct and i read some scn forums wherein they asked to refresh the cache , i have refreshed the cache also still the problem persists.

I spoke to my colleague he hinted that at RUN TIME we want to point to PI7.31, he mentioned config change needed in SXMB_ADM

FRM-13002 : Stacked and Tab Canvas must be created within Content Canvas

Hi,
I have a Tab Canvas with 2 pages on it.
In one of the pages the data to be displayed will be
out of the region(size or length) of that page.
I read in this forum for the same problem, the
member had suggested to use a Stacked Canvas on that
Tab page alone and enable the scrollbars of the stacked canvas.
When I drag and drop a stacked canvas on a tab page
of the tab canvas I get the following error:
FRM-13002 : Stacked and Tab Canvas must be created
within content canvas.
Any help is appreciated.

I am breaking my head over this.
I am still unable to solve this issue.
========The Requirement is as follows :===========
When I select a Tab Page of a Tab canvas, I get a
combo box with items in it. When I select an item from
the combo box, based on the item selected, I am
retrieveing the data from the database and displaying
it in that Tab Page itself. This data is in a matrix
format. i,e Has a number of rows and columns.
Without a Horizontal and a Vertical Toolbar attached
to the Tab Page I would be unable to view all the records
that are displayed on that Tab Page.
Any suggestions or examples is most welcome and
appreciated.
NOTE : ALso in what situations can we use a stacked
canvas, if the designer does not allow me to
use it with other canvases?.

ABAP STACK and JAVA STACK certificates

Hi Fiends,
I have requirement in which I want to use HTTP adapter to send message and apply security certificate. I got from sdn that if I wan to use http adapter with certificate than I have to install certificates in ABAP stack.
My problem is I had one scenario in which I am using BC adapter to send message with security certificate and for that I had applied certificates in java stack and its working properly.
My question is,
Is it possible to use Java Stack and ABAP STACK together..?
I mean is it possible to implement both of the above scenario in same xi system?

Hi Soni,
You cannot use the same certifcates wihch you installed in Java stack with abap stack. You need to install separealy on teh abap stack.
For HTTP communication you dont need to install certificates. You only need when you want to use HTTPS communication. So if you want to use HTTPS communication and want to use SOAP adapter then you can use ther certifcates which is already installed on java stack. But if you want to use HTTP adapter then you need to install in ABAP stack.

By interface, I assume you mean the connection between the ABAP and the Java stacks in a double stack system.
The connection from Java to ABAP is through JCo connections defined in the WebDynpro section of the J2EE start page. So Java to ABAP requests are processed through JCo.
The connection from ABAP to Java is through RFC connections defined in TA SM59. The ABAP to Java requests are processed through RFC.

The UME can be maintained in either ABAP or in JAVA depending on the persistence.

Doubt about JAVA stack and ABAP Stack

Good day!
Hope can help me with my next doubt. I understood that BI JAVA or JAVA has been embedded in the Java support package stack for portal. But for BI7 the installation for JAVA is by sps. We only use pure support package for BI7, we don't use support package stacks and we don't use JAVA. I'm not sure because i don't made the sap installation in our enterprise, how can i be sure if we have installed java in BI7 and if we don´t have installed, should I install Java in our sap system? what are the benefits and consequences if I decide install it? and what is the difference about BI java (portals) and JAVA stack for BI7?
I try to find some information but I found some information about bi Java for portals, but not for BI.

BI-7.0,JAVA:BI-Java is used to provide the Java runtime for scenarios such as Enterprise Reporting, Query, and Analysis as well as Business Planning and Analytical Services.BI-Java requires AS Java and Enterprise Portal Core and EP in the same system. Optionally, you can combin with other usage types in one system. Usually, scenarios running on usage type BI-Java also require usage types BI and AS ABAP. While installing BI-Java, AS Java, EPC and EP get installed automatically. Usually, when running on usage type BI-Java also require usage types BI and AS ABAP, you should be aware that no matter if you run BI and BI-Java in the same or in separate systems, both BI and BI -JAVA should be kept in sync in terms of Support Package Stacks.
BW 7.0 is now called as BI 7.0. There are many differences between them in areas like extraction, EDW, reporting, analysis administration,etc.,

JAVA Stack and ABAP Stack not in Sync

Hi,
when i logged into the MI Server(7.0) gonr thru the following navigation :
Administration-->Mobile Infrastructure---->Mobile components
which i click on the search button i am getting the following error
"JAVA Stack and ABAP Stack not in Sync"
Already i redeployed the sapjra.rar, still i find the error unchanged.
Any help on this would be great........

Stacks and Printer Problems in Leopard

I just found two problems regarding the new stacks feature and my HP C4280 printer.
For the stacks, I left the download stack open, which shows a fan of downloaded files, while downloading something else. but when the new downloading finished. My whole dock feature was frozen. I couldn't close the download stack and couldn't even click anything on the dock. I tried to restarted my computer, but I was still stuck. So I had to press the power button to restart it.
For my HP C4280 printer, I could still print, but just couldn't launch the utility application of my printer, such as choosing only to print in black and white, checking the ink supply level and many other options.
I'll appreciate very much if someone can help me fix these two bugs.

If you are familiar and comfortable with the terminal, you can perform a bulk "chown" or whatever.
Managing File Permissions
Sample "ls -l /bin/ls" output: -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 29980 Apr 23 1998 /bin/ls
- First ten characters are the file's permissions. First is file type, '-' for normal, 'd' for directory, 'l' for symlink, etc.
- Three sets of three characters of "rwx", or Read, Write, Execute permission - first for owner, then group owner, then everyone.
- Then we have number of links to file, owner of the file, group owner of file, file size, date it was last modified, and the file's name.
chmod - Change a file's mode or permissions - one way is to use octal numbering - example: "chmod 751 /bin/ls" for rwxr-x--x
chgrp - Change a file's group - example: "chgrp users /bin/ls"
chown - Change a file's owner - example: "chown uzi /bin/ls"
umask - Set default file permissions (generally, do the opposite, or "777 minus what you want")
Or you can change them one at a time as you need them.
This happens once and a while and I am puzzled as to why.
Did you do a disk check and file permissions before upgrading?

FREED STACK and TRef Type

I've created a variant to load select-options data from database like you can see in this document:

All runs perfectly but when I try to get the data inside the handle method of the main view, but when I read the parameters attribute of WDEVENT it comes with "FREED STACK" and I can access to the information. After, a dump fetchs inside the class CL_WDR_SELECT_OPTIONS and it is GETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED type. Does anybody know anything about this?
