Help needed on BEx Query Urgently

Hello Gurus,
              I have query, in which, when a user logs in, the user will see list of customers assigned to that particular user only, if they exist in cube. When I execute the report RSRT or ADHOC, it is displaying all the customers correctly, but not the values. But, when I go to 'Key Figure Definition' in RSRT for each customer, it is showing correct values, but displaying different value in the query.
EX.
Actual Values for the customers:
customer1   100
customer2     50
customer3   125
customer4   135
customer5   150
customer6   1000
Result         1550
But it is displaying like this, when I execute
customer1   1000
customer2   1000
customer3   1000
customer4   1000
customer5   1000
customer6   1000
Result         1000
I couldn't figureout this issue.
Any help is appreciated with points.

I checked the report again. It is actually displaying like this..
Actual Values for the customers:
customer1 100
customer2 50
customer3 125
customer4 135
customer5 150
customer6 1000
Result 1550
But it is displaying like this, when I execute
customer1 1550
customer2 1550
customer3 1550
customer4 1550
customer5 1550
customer6 1550
Result 1550
Result is some how over writting the values for single values.

detail table is not neccessary )
now i am achieving the result by program-coding in C# after getting the rows from oracle
i am using oracle 9i (also ODP.NET)
i want to know how can i get the result in the stored procedure itsef.
2)how it could be designed in any other way.

Need a SQL Query (URGENT)

Hi Folks,
I have 2 tables, in which the 1st one has 200 columns and 2 table had 2 columns.. There is one common column for both the tables, but there is little change in schema of the tables...The common col in 2nd table is a primary key but the same column in the 1st table is a ordinary one..The data type for the common column is same...
Now i need to write a query to select 199columns(except the common column)from the 1st table and the other column(2nd col)other than the common column frm the 2nd table for "table1.commoncolumn=table2.commoncolumn"......
I had tried the natural join but its nt working in my informix sql database....I also tried by explicitly mentioning column names like "select column1,column2....column199,table2.column2 from table1,table2 where table1.commoncolumn=table2.commoncolumn", but its having a severe performance impact.......
Can some please suggest a query for the above one?? Thankx in advance..

The informix z forum very slow...The problem is, you labeled your questions badly. As this is a forum of volunteers people tend to react badly to the use of the word "urgent" in the subject line. Nobody's question matters more than anybody else's. In fact some regulars won't answer questions with "urgent" in the strapline as a matter of principle.
Then when we get to actually read your question it turns out to be a question about Informix. I guess not many people here use Informix so your potential pool of responders is pretty small (for instance I'm not even sure how to spell it).
It's not our fault the Informix forums are so lame.
Anyway, what I suggest is you repost your question with a new title: (Off topic) Need help with an INFORMIX query.
At least that will attract people who might be able to answer your question. Then you need to include the actual query you're running and all the supporting details necessary for people to understand the nature of the performance impact.
You need to ask the right people and you need to ask the right question. This is standard etiquette (and indeed common sense) regardless of which forum you're using.

Help needed in importing application - Urgent

Hi,
I am new fairly new to apex and would be grateful for any help....
I have an application that i would like to import and install... but i am obtaining an error...
Situation is as follows:
Application in machine A with oracle 10g standard and apex 3.0. Workspace is portal, schema is status_portal...
export is working fine.
Need to import it to machine B with oracle 10g and apex 3.0 Workspace is
online_portal, schema is portal
Import also works fine...
But when i try to install the imported application, i get following error:
ORA-20001: GET_BLOCK Error. ORA-20001: Execution of the statement was unsuccessful. ORA-02291: integrity constraint (FLOWS_030000.WWV_FLOWS_FK) violated - parent key not found <pre>begin wwv_flow_api.create_flow( p_id =>134, p_display_id=>134, p_owner => 'STATUS_PORTAL', p_name => 'Status Portal', p_alias => 'F114', p_page_view_logging => 'YES', p_default_page_template=> 3865804637029456 + wwv_flow_api.g_id_offset, p_printer_fri

I have tried exporting from machine A to apex online workspace and installing there.... and vice versa...It is working fine...
the problem arises only when i try import & install on machine B....

but my query shd return me data having firstname ,middlenale and last name as column names and lvalues like lsited below:

what I want is list of all groups with id,name and #of members(which is the # of rows in the user_group_t for any given id). Importantly I need the groups with 0 members also to be listed. In short my output should contain exactly the same number of rows as in group_t table with an additional column indicating # of members for that group.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Actually I figured it out, with the following query:
select id,name,sum(if(groupid is not null,1,0)) as members from group_t left join user_group_t on id=groupid group by id;
I tried your solution, but mysql says there is an error at '+' . Anyway I modified your solution to the one below and it worked.
select a.id, a.name, count(b.groupid) from group_t a left join user_group_t b on a.id=b.groupid group by a.id, a.name;
I tried that before but then I used Count(*) instead of count on groupid. Your solution is elagant and I will go with yours.

HElp need in bex

I have two requirements
First scenario is like this
Customer1 1000 2000
Customer2 5000 600
In my query it is showing like this, but I need to add one blank row after each customer.
Second
No of lines in my report is around 10 million , if I export this to excel it is not taking all, as the limit of excel. So is it possible if I am exporting to excel it will make different excel files after end of the each sheet

First Scenario-
You can modify the routine through which it is getting updated. Because some routines where written to write # value for the empty space that comes from the source system.
Second Scenario-
Its best to export first into note pad because it holds unlimited records and then make it as n no. of excel sheets.

Help needed in HTTP Tunneling - urgent

Hi all,
I urgently need a working code sample of a client which sends requests to a server that redirects the request to an RMI server via RMI servlet.

I have a server behind NAT router which connected to apache2 and tomcat 4.1 web servers. The apache2 and tomcat are not connected between them.

Help with a BEx Query

Hello Gurus,
I have a requirement to write a query to list all the customers who have purchased over $450 (customer total) for a three month period and had not purchased any product from an item category in the same time period. My users want to see the sold_to_partys. I am using an Invoice ODS.
I have basically created two queries, the first one with 0BILL_DATE in the filter and restricted to three months period, 0SOLD_TO in the rows and 0NETVAL_INV in the Columns and set a condition with value greater than $450. In the second query, included 0SOLD_TO in the rows and created a variable for the sold_to_party and included the first query with processing by 'Replacement path' and placed item category (0ITEM_CATEG) in the filter and restricted to an item category and placed the 0NETVAL_INV in the columns area and created a condition with value equal to zeros.
This is not giving me any sold_to_party listing. I think it is because in the second query, it is trying to read zero invoice value, which does not exist in the ODS.
Then I tried creating an Infoset with this ODS and 0SOLD_TO master data and used left outer join. This also does not give me the desired result.
Can somebody help me how to achieve this? Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Yes the above always brings the zero reows in the second report. becuase you are picking the custoemrs from first query (i.e who has sales ) and in the condition your mentioning to display no sales Customers.
Solution:
1) Make 0SOLD_TO as data target.
2) Create the Multi provider on Invoice ODS and 0sold_to
3) you need to have 1 resstricted Column(say Col1) and one normal column(0NETVAL_INV) say col2.
4) you need to have 2 conditions
5) In restriction column: Drag and drop 0NETVAL_INV and restrict it with 0ITEM_CATEG = 'your item category).
6) 0BILL_DATE in the filter and restricted to three months period
7) 1 st condition: col1 <> 0.
2nd condition col2 = 0.
So in single report you can display the user asked information.

I need to display the parent child nodes in the hierarchical manner and i need to list the user under their hier name in the same hierarchical structure. table structures are all as follows.

No you haven't. Either post create table statements or set up your data with a WITH clause, something like the following example:

Expert help needed with tricky query

I have a query database with a real simple schema but a tricky requirement: i need to display records with a simple select but then filter the result based on the authority/access level of the user making the query.
The source data is held in a table with just the following columns:
SRCTABLE:
subject_ID
date
data_ID
data_item
All column types are text strings and the first 3 are a composite key. There are 10s of millions of records in the table.
The access authorization is held in another table with the following columns:
ACCTABLE:
data_ID
access1
access2
accessn
The ellipsis means there are as many (boolean type) access1...n columns as there are distinct access levels to the source data.
The table contains one row for each distinct data_ID appearing in the source table. On each row the TRUE values in the access1...n columns indicate authorization to see the data item and the filter should leave that row in the result set.
The question then is how to write the query statement? It is assumed that the access id (i.e. the relevant column) is known when the query is made.
Something like
SELECT data_item FROM SRCTABLE
WHERE subject_ID="xxx" AND date = "1/1/2000";
would do it except for the need to filter each row based on the access authorization of the user.
Any help would be appreciated.

APC has a good point about really protecting every single item type separately. Unfortunately this is precisely the case. The security in this case is not oriented to increasing security in a levels oriented way. Rather each kind of item is protected by a need to know type security related to that particular item. Users are classified by their need to know a combination of the item types and those combinations are not in any sense consistent (and there will be new classes over time). This way access control necessarily becomes a matrix of item types vs access classes.
Fortunately this particular database does not exist yet so i am free to solve the problem in any way that fulfills the requirement. This is just the suggested form. I am not entirely happy with it hence the question on this forum in the first place.
So, i appreciate it should you have any further suggestions for optimal solution to handle the requirements. Again, those are:
1. A query that returns the data_items for a given ID and date (this is dead simple)
2. A filter (preferably in the query) that filters out those data_items the current user (his/her access class is known) is not authorized to see.
3. The plan calls for a table listing every possible item type with a column for each access class, enumerating the items allowed for that class. Any other solution to this issue would be acceptable provided it is capable to independently validate any single item type against any access class.
I hope this makes sense.

Help needed in selection screen - Urgent

I have a selection screen. I have three radi buttons in that selection screen. Based on the selection of the radio buttons I need to activate corresponding selection screen parameters.
e.g : if radiobutton1 is selected, njo activation needed,
       if radiobutton2 is selected, activate selection screen parameter p_one,
       if radiobutton3 is selected, activate selection screen parameter p_two.
All three radiobuttons are attached to the same radio button group.
I have assigned the parameters p_one, p_two, p_three to MODIF ID as follows.
p_one - NULL
p_two - t01
p_three - t02.
on the selection of a radio button I want the corresponding parameter to get activated.
