Help not working in Lightroom CC.
When clicking on help in Lightroom CC the web address that the browser is directed to 'http://community.stage.corp.adobe.com/chcservices/services/redirect?u=http://help.stage.ad obe.com&p=Lightroom_6.0&l=en_U…' is incorrect. My browser reports that the server community.stage.corp.adobe.com is not found.
Please read all my posts. I have already several times LR reinstalled just the preferences file deleted just once. Nothing helps. My Creative Cloud Version is 2.0.1.88.
The problem also does not seem to lie in the Help URL, but the fact that the browser at F1 / Help will not open. This all works fine in my LR 5.x version. I also have the standard browser (IE or Firefox) changed several times, without success. I disabled my firewall and my security suite, no success.
Other, browser-based functions such as account management or LR online work well. And my other Adobe software work also fine.
I am currently close to despair, and expect a professional support to solve the problem. The decision to buy LR and future Adobe products I have to depend on this problem solving.

RikYou have to install Lightroom 5.4 through the CC Application Manager. Before you can do this proceed as follows.
Uninstall the LR 5.4 trial (Mac drag the application from your Application sub folder) win use the Control Panel feature to uninstall. Your user presets, catalog etc will remain in place.Reboot your system then open the CC Application Manager and the LR download should be available for download. You will not have to actually input the serial number.
Both applications are the same just the licensing procedure is different in the Creative Cloud. -

Home button in HTML Help Not Working
My Home button in HTML Help Not Working.
Also the Home option from the Options menu does not work. I receive the "This program cannot display the webpage" error.
I have the correct file name (titlepg.htm) in the Advanced Windows Ptoperties "Default" field and the "Home" field. However, I still receive the "This program cannot display the webpage" error.
How can I correct this situation? Thanks, your help is appreciated!Can you post a couple of screen captures please?
One where you show the Project Explorer with the desired topic in view. Another where you show the dialog where you specify the Home page destination.
Another thing you may wish to try is to define a totally new window, assign the values there and ensure you point to the window in the Single Source Layout recipe.
Oh, and one other thing. Are you using RoboHelp HTML or RoboHelp for Word?

Lens Profiles not working in Lightroom 5.4?
I've got OSX 10.9.2, Lightroom 5.4, latest Camera raw, everything up to date.
When I "Enable Profile Corrections" for an image shot with a Sony a7r and Sony FE 55mm lens, it should automatically retrieve this profile:
/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/LensProfiles/1.0/Sony/SONY (Sony FE 55mm F1.8 ZA) - RAW.lcp
Well, it doesn't. The only Sony lens available in Lightroom's Lens Correction panel is "Sony DT 18-200mm." But there are several dozen Sony lense profiles in the "Sony" directory.
And more puzzling, the camera "Make" menu lists 8 manufacturers (Apple, Canon, DJI, GoPro, Nikon, Sigma, Sony, Tamron) but leaves out a number of others — Fujifilm, Hasselblad, Leica, Mamiya, etc.
And as with Sony, only one Tamron lens is listed.
I've tried re-installing Lightroom fresh, and no luck.
Photoshop works fine and has all the lens profiles.
Anyone else noticing this? Got a fix?

MikeI only shoot in RAW, and I am having this same issue. I shoot Nikon with a Tokina lens. This morning, Tuesday October 14, 2014, I had this setting. I closed the program and restarted it, and now I only have Apple, Canon, DJI, GoPro, Nikon, Sigma, Sony, Tamron lens profiles. There was not an update, nor did I actually change any settings. What is going on here?
I talked to customer support, whom suggested that I was stoned out of my mind because these profiles do not exist in lightroom. I did as the rep asked, followed the link and downloaded the "new" profile. Now I can't get it installed. Meanwhile, my photos are waiting for me to edit them. Can someone please help out here?! -
Software update and iLife help not working in Admin account
For the last few weeks (maybe since iLife 11 was installed) software update and iLife help has quit working on the single administration account on my iMac. All works fine on the secondary accounts.
If I try to use software update it says everything is up to date, even though I know there are updates available that can be seen if checking from a different account on the machine. In iLife, if I try to access the help files it tells me I need to download them. I click to download and after a few seconds it takes me back to the front help page and I then go through the entire process again but the help download never happens. On secondary accounts the help files work no problem.
I've tried many of the tips for deleting helpfile plists, but nothing seems to work for me.
Can any kind person list for me everything I should look to delete or move in the account to get these things working again?
It would be much appreciated!Since the issue is specific to your original user account, you can proceed in two ways. One is to log into your new account, make a list of the preference files (plists) located in /username/Library/Preferences/, including any in the ByHost subfolder, log back into the original account, move everything on that other account's list from the original account's Preferences folder into a newly created folder on the Desktop, log out and back in, and see if the problem goes away. If so, you can copy the ones in the Desktop folder (one at time) back into /Preferences/, restart, and see if the problem returns. If so, you've identified the corrupt/conflicting one. Continue with all of them until isolating the bad ones. That'll save you the trouble of resetting preferences.
The second way is much more detailed and I'll not burden you with the steps unless the above doesn't fix the issue. -
Search function in Help not working in any application
The Search function is not working in any application's Help. Upon entering the terms I need help for I get a hang at "Searching..." but never any result. This problem started sometime in the last year or so. Prior to that the search function in Help worked fine. My network connectivity is excellent.
I recently reinstalled OS X 10.5 but I'm sure the problem existed before that and persisted after the reinstall.
The reinstall was due to upgrading to 10.7 and only then finding that I had lost needed functionality, but I don't think this has anything to do with the current problem. All other aspects of Help seem to be working fine
I don't find any reference to this problem anywhere so I'm hoping someone can help with my Help(!) problem. Thanks in advance.Try running your Leopard install disk again, as well as the 10.5.8 combo updater. This might reinstall any 'missing bits'.
You can do this without deleting the hard drive, just install straight over your existing system, but close all applications and external devices first.

F4 HELP not working in QA, but does en DEV :o(

I hgave a situation where the F4 (Binocular) works perfect in DEV.
But when it comes to QA system, the F4 search help does NOT work for the account aswsignment fields, but does for the rest.
Any ideas?

One more point affecting the search help for cost center is authorisation for the resp role in PFCG i.e.
say the user role is SAP_BBP_STAL_EMPLOYEE
you go to PFCG
go to roles
doubleclick on inbuilt single role ....EC_BBP_EMPLOYEE
click on tab authorozation
go to display/change auth data
go to BBP component
go to first option 'SRM: Allgemeine Zugangsberechtigungen im EBP'
check 'BE_F4_HELP' is flagged.
If no tick here you will not see binoculur in EBP for user of that role

F4 help not working in custom backend service for PD form
Dear All,
Iam working with the Create position HCM PD form and i have a requirement to add two fields, one for the company code and the other is for the cost center and then create the relationship betwee the position and the cost center when the form is submitted.
I have defined a generic service and created an enhancement implementation and linked this generic service to the imppementaion. I have written the logic for the F4 help for the fields in the method GET_HELP_VALUES, i have written the scripting for the drop down field in the form to trigger the F4 help in the form.
When the cost center is being passed to the screen, i would then read the value of the cost center in the form workflow and create the relationship between S and K in the workflow as i am unable to achiev this in the design time of the PD form.
But my current problem in that he values are not getting passed from the method to the field on the screen. I have worked on quite a few scenarios for F4 help and doing validations in the implementation in the PA form and i have seen this functionality working fine.
My problem here is that i am unable to understand why the F4 value help is not working in my form. The standard PD service SAP_PD is also being used in the form to have the dropdown values for the account assignment feature.
Could you please suggest me with some clues to fix my issue? i can share more details for further analysis.

First....are you sure you have "marked" that field as possible for F4 help?

Second...are you populating the help values strictly from that method...ie. not also using do_operations method to do it. If you refer to the documenation, it points out that trying to use both can cause issues.
Reply: i am using only the GET_HELP_VALUES method and nothing written in do_operations.
Third...when you debug your method, do you "see" the help values actually populating and as you say "not coming back to the screen"? I would check this first to make sure that there are actually values being found (ie. the logic within your service is correct).
Reply: i have put the external break-point in this method and when the form in opened for processing by the HR admininstrator,the form openes up and the control is not being sent to the debugger. I have written the scripting in the exit event of the events and scripts as suggested in the SAP help document. SO when i click on the dropdown field in the form, the debugger starts and executes the method and the code executes, then no values are populated on the screen.
Fourth...are you using any generic services for populating help values as well. HCM P&F has a nasty habit of "if one GS fails, they all fail" so often, your service might work fine but an error in another makes yours appear to fail as well....hard to debug and find those kind.
Reply: Yes i am using the generic service mainly for the purpose of F4 help. I do not see any issue with other gneric services as i have implemented a few generic services for PA forms and they are working fine.
Fifth...oops...forgot the obvious one...make sure it isn't a security issue...ie. make sure you have access to read the cost centers you want.

You actually should be able to do this using an Advanced/Enhanced Generic Service (if this is in fact the step at which you want a true update to occur). Just a thought.

F4 help not working properly in portal
Dear All
After applying patch in ECC system the F4 help is not working properlyin Portal. usually a drop down appears and with few key strokes users were able to move to the appropriate value.
Its working perfectly well in the backend but in portal its not moving appropriatly in the drop down.
What settings is required in the Portal side.

In Portal we are using WebGui.
As u said it seems the problem is not related to Portal.
Actually we were having problem with extra tab in the screen but by applying a note that problem is solved. We are using a bar code reader for inputting data. But still the dropdown have problem like we cant select the country by using the keys initially.

Cost Center and G/L account search help not working
Hi Gurus,
I am facing a problem with the search help button for cost assignment in Shop screen.
When I press the search button for cost center, there is no new screen coming up asking me the search criteria to be given as input. Same is the problem when I search for G/L accounts.
I have defined the backend RFC user as dialog user and also defined the RFC(dialog) in the SRM system for the backend RFC.
My user id has authorization object M_BBP_SHLP in my profile.
What may be the reason for this issue?
Note: I am currently using SRM5.0 system with backend R/3 4.7 version. This SRM system is already connected to another backend system ECC6.0, and the search help is working fine for those users.
Pls. guide me on how to resolve this issue.

Don't give wild search. Give some words following with * like "UK*" lists all the UK Cost centers. For the G/L accounts: G/L Accounts will get updated in the SC automatically depend upon the product category what you have selected.
Check the configuration Cross Application Basic settings->Account Assignment ->Define G/L Account for the product category.
If you have maintained the configuration for the paritcular G/L Account and Product cateogyr then when G/L Account is updated automatically in the SC (Depend upon this configuration)

Aperture help not working - getting JavaScript error message
My Aperture 3 has been having a lot of strange issues lately, most, but not all of which have been cleared up by holding down command + option while starting up and going through all three of the choices there.
One problem that remains is the inability to open the Help files. I keep getting the following message:
“The Help Library requires JavaScript.
If JavaScript is not enabled, you will not
be able to view all the content.”
Help works in all other applications, like Pages and Final Cut Pro. I don’t get JavaScript error messages in any other applications.
I’ve already done an erase and restore from a Time Machine backup, and an archive and install. I reinstalled Aperture, although not by using the Terminal command suggested in the kbase article # HT3805.
If I go the Terminal command route, will I lose all my projects, albums, and editing? What about Mobile Me galleries?
I have a guest user on the computer, and when I log on to that user and open Aperture, the Help Library works fine. So, I know the problem is in my user account somewhere, but I don’t know how to address it. Any ideas?Welcome to the forums.
The fact that you have access to java in another user suggests that it is a local setting or preference.
In the applications folder/utilities there is an application Java Preferences, try resetting this and seeing if it works.
If not, try deleting the java preferences file in your users folder
systemHD/Users/user/Library/Preferences/com.apple.java.JavaPreferences.plist
relaunch the app Java Preferences which creates a new preferences file for you, then try Aperture again.
Let us know how this goes.

Camera Raw 8.4 not working in Lightroom 5

did install the CR 8.4 Beta. Can now preview .NEF files taken with the Nikon D4S in Photoshop and Bridge, however in Lightroom this is not working. Any idea why this is? Is there a workaround or a solution?
ThxYou’ve installed the Adobe Camera Raw 8.4 PLUG-IN for Photoshop.
The term Camera Raw also refers to the version of internal programming, a coyp of which is included in the plug-in and in Lightroom, and in the DNG Converter, although each has its own copy.
Updating the Photoshop ACR 8.4 plug-in that contains the CR engine 8.4 doesn’t change Lightroom 5.3 which contains the copy of the CR engine 8.3, still.
What we’re waiting for is the next version of Lightroom to be released, likely called LR 5.4, which has its copy of the Camera Raw engine 8.4.
The DNG Converter 8.4 beta has also been released and you can use it to create DNGs from your new camera’s raw files that will open in the older Lightroom, but I’d only do that experimentally, and not delete your original raws, in case something is changed by the time of the final release. -
Photoshop CS4 - Help NOT working
If I select Photoshop Help, from the Help pull down menu in Photoshop CS4 I just get the error "HTTP 404 Not Found". Is there a solution to this, I didn't have this problem with CS3?

What I'm most curious about is the JavaScript code in the "white page" with the AH_ION=true pages, especially the comment on line 2 here that seems to indicate that I should have some setting in my preferences that should tell the browser to go to the correct help page or not.
