Help on HtmlSourceNode API for extension

I am writing an extension for JDev 10.1.3.
I need some info regarding the HTML editor/HtmlSourceNode
How can I access the "title" and "body" content of a html source node in Jdeveloper?
I didn't find any API doc on this but only for JspSourceNode

Jdev team,
Any updates, how I can do this.

  • Any practical help about XML API for databases

    HI friends,
    I have a problem, i want to connect to my Database using JSP but by using XML api for database. I want to MAP my database tables, rows columns as xml elements to make it more flexible. Anyone who had practicaly worked on it, please help me out.
    I am waiting for a quick response.
    Thanks for any help in advance,
    Yours Truly,

    Some databases have a feature that allows you to output the result of a query as XML. But that's not standard SQL, and it probably varies from one DB to the next. Look up the documentation for your DB for more information.

  • Need help with set up for extensions

    I'm new to OA Framework development and am just ramping up (do have years of Java development experience) and could use some help. I've read through the OA Framework Developer Guide and gone through a few of the tutorials. My task is to add some extensions to the R12 Customer Standard pages.
    I've looked in the $JAVA_TOP at the following directory structure.
    /oracle/apps/ar/cusstd/...
    I find java classes and the server.xml files but there are no PG.xml files to work with. Are these located in a different structure? What is the best approach to obtaining the base Oracle source files to start with and for configuring your local development environment to extend R12 OA Framework pages? Do you need to include the entire $JAVA_TOP in your development client environment classpath as well?
    Thanks in advance!

    To run the oracle seeded party create/update page, you can refer <<your Jdeveloper Installation directory>>\jdevhome\jdev\myhtml\OA_HTML\test_fwktutorial.jsp.
    Create a new custom jsp similar to test_fwktutorial.jsp. Modify this JSP based on your environment and user setup. Modify the links also. With this, you should run this jsp first. By clicking the link in the JSP run, you can launch party create page.
    The error you posted in RED color is thrown because you are trying to modify the web bean hierarchy in the processFormData method. Example, setting some items property to rendered false or true. All these kind of modifications should be done in the proceeRequest method of the controller.
    Following is from DEV guide to launch the forms application.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Launching Oracle Applications Forms from OA Framework Pages
    To launch an Oracle Applications form from OA Framework, you must first define a button, link or image web
    bean. The web bean then relies on the FormsLauncher applet provided by Oracle Applications (AOL/J) to
    launch the specified form.
    Declarative Implementation
    Step 1: In the OA Extension Structure pane, select the region in which you want to create the web bean to
    launch an Oracle Applications form. Choose New > Item from the context menu.
    Step 2: Set the ID property for the item, in accordance with the OA Framework File Standards, and set the Item
    Style property to button, image, or link. You may also launch an Oracle Applications form from a submit
    button. See the Runtime Control section below for more details.
    Step 3: Set the Destination URI property of the item with a value following this format (replacing the italicized
    text as appropriate):
    form:responsibilityApplicationShortName:responsibilityKey:securityGroupKey:functionName
    For example, if you want to launch the FND Menus form, the Destination URI property should be set to:
    form:SYSADMIN:SYSTEM_ADMINISTRATOR:STANDARD:FND_FNDMNMNU
    Step 4: If you wish to pass parameters to the form, set the Destination URI property with a value using the
    following format (Note that the parameter list is delimited by a space between each "parameter=value" pair):
    form:responsibilityApplicationShortName:responsibilityKey:securityGroupKey:functionName:param1=
    value1 param2=value2 param3=value3
    Note: If you wish to send varchar2 parameter values that contain spaces, use \" to enclose the string value.
    For example, to pass in something of the form:
    TXN_NUMBER=LT INVOICE 1
    Use:
    TXN_NUMBER=\"LT INVOICE 1\"
    Step 5: Refer to the following Chapter 4 topics for information about additional properties you may need to set
    for the specific item: Buttons(Action/Navigation), Buttons (Links), or Images in Your Pages.
    *Runtime Control*
    There are no special programmatic steps necessary to launch an Oracle Applications form from a button,
    image, or link in an OA Framework page. The OAButtonBean, OALinkBean and OAImageBean support the
    special form function URL format described above for the Destination URI property. When OA Framework
    encounters this special value, it generates the appropriate URL and also adds a hidden IFrame (inline frame)
    to the OA Framework page. The hidden IFrame is the target of the FormsLauncher applet provided by Oracle
    Applications.
    Launching an Oracle Applications Form From a Submit Button
    If you wish to launch an Oracle Applications form from a submit button in an OA Framework page, you must
    use the OAPageContext.forwardImmediatelyToForm(String url) method from
    548
    oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.OAPageContext. An example of how to use this API is shown in the code
    sample below:
    public void processFormRequest(OAPageContext pageContext, OAWebBean webBean)
    super.processFormRequest(pageContext, webBean);
    if (pageContext.getParameter("Apply")!=null)
    String destination =
    "form:SYSADMIN:SYSTEM_ADMINISTRATOR:STANDARD:FND_FNDMNMNU";
    pageContext.forwardImmediatelyToForm(destination);
    *Usage Notes*
    Microsoft Internet Explorer supports the IFrame element, so when you launch an Oracle Applications form from
    OA Framework, only a splash window appears. Any other windows required by the FormsLauncher applet
    use(s) the hidden IFrame as the target and therefore remain(s) hidden from the user. Netscape Navigator, on
    the other hand, does not support the IFrame element, so in addition to a splash window, the user also sees
    another window used by the FormsLauncher applet.
  • Help Neede: New API for KM
    Dear All,
    I have found that com.porta.security.IUser class is deprecated in new release and it is giving error.
    I have to get <b>ResourceContext(IUser)</b> object to access KM. What is the new way to access KM docments using new API?
    Please provide some sample code if possible.
    Kind regards,
    Sreejesh.
    Hi,
    With "deprecated" you mean this class
    om.sapportals.portal.security.usermanagement.IUser
    What do you mean with "giving error"?
    As to my knowledge you currently have to live with the deprecated IUser class for using the KM API. The current
    com.sap.security.api.IUser
    will not work.
    Kind regards,
    I need a help on the API for creating external roles/parties to an organization in oracle projects. There are two APIs in oracle for roles - pa_project_pub.load_org_roles and pa_project_pub.load_key_members. load_key_members api is used to load team members which are employees to a project and load_org_roles is used to add an organization role to a project. But how to use these API to load a party/external role to the organization role (or) is there any other api to do this functionality. Please suggest me on this.
  • I need urgent help in business catalyst SOAP api for [Product_UpdateInsert] operation.
    Hi Everyone, I am new in Business Catalyst, but, my company is working with BC for a while. I have a task to import external data (such as catalogue, products, orders, shopping cart etc) to business catalyst native tables via SOAP api.       echo $sf->getTrace();
      //fwrite($errorLogFile,$errorlogText. "Error Dump: ". $sf->getMessage());
      return;
    Hi BCMan, Thanks for replying. Yes, the error is from BC side. The format was invalid. I fixed the issue today. Actually, I was pushing data from my PHP server to BC host system using SOAP api. I am still getting format errors, but I am able to insert data into products table.
    One more question if you don't mind. Is it possible to use JQuery/Javascript to push data into BC tables in real time (while browsing products table) using customized pages? There are documents to solve this. However, I could not find examples of how I could fetch data from JSON file using JQuery and then populate products/catalog/order tables.
    I appreciate your help.
    Thank you.
    Greetings from another victim!  We are all suffered from HP's poor support of HD 7690M XT... I guess you are talking about Diablo3, right?  With original HP driver, my switchable card can't even function well, so I followed the suggestions from another thred on this forum, update the driver to CCC 12.2 preview.   I ran Diablo3beta on my laptop with CCC 12.2 preview; I could only reach FPS of around 30 on maximum display quality ( my scrren resolution is Full HD).   ( I believe this card is capable of hitting much better FPS if it got a decent driver.)
    Also because my FPS would drop to less than 10 suddenly in games for no reason, I decided  to switch to unofficial driver, Leshcat, together with MSI Afterburner.  Doing this improve the performance significantly, FPS hits around 45.   Nevertheless my graphic card still freezes out sometimes, and I would blame this problem to the driver.   If HP could come up with a new, working driver, I think all the mysterious problems will disappear.
    Unfortunately HP is just deaf to all the complaints from the owners of this graphic card.
    We are now orphans forgotten by HP...
    PLEASE UPDATE THE DRIVER FOR HD 7690M XT GRAPHIC CARD !!!!!
    Hi all,
    Can anyone tell me Is there any Java/Portal APIs for retrieving properties from portalapp.xml as well as from manifest.mf.
    Help wud be highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Karthick
    Hi Karthick,
    If you want to access the manifest file, you could do something like this:
    import java.io.File;
    import java.io.FileInputStream;
    import java.util.jar.Manifest;
    import com.sapportals.portal.prt.runtime.IPortalRuntimeResources;
    import com.sapportals.portal.prt.runtime.PortalRuntime;
    File privateResoucePath = PortalRuntime.getRuntimeResources().getLocation(IPortalRuntimeResources.LT_PRIVATE_RESOURCES);
    File parPath = new File ( privateResoucePath, "HelloWorldProject" );  // name - par file name without the ".par" extension);
    if ( parPath.exists()!=false ) {
        try {
            File manifestPath = new File ( parPath, "META-INF" );
            FileInputStream fis = null;
            fis = new FileInputStream(new File(manifestPath, "MANIFEST.MF"));
            Manifest mf = new Manifest(fis);
            java.util.jar.Attributes attr =  mf.getMainAttributes();
            if (attr!=null) {
                return attr.getValue("Specification-Title");
            else {return null;}
        } catch (Exception e) {
            e.printStackTrace();
            return "ERROR"+e.toString();
    META-INF is top level folder.
    Hope this helps.
  • Extension SDK : Where are the wizards for extension creation in JDev
    I remember seeing there were few wizards in JDev 10.1.3 Preview version for creating extensions which generates the stubs (like create extension with windows etc.), but I don't see it in the new extension SDK. It only contains extension.xml file with basic properties, also it doesn't XML give insight in the extensions.xml.
    Why are the wizards missing? Are they left by mistake oir by intension?
    I hope having wizards for extension creation (like eclispe) will help people creating extensions. Currently we have to copy paste some extensions provided by Extension SDK and merge our code as and where required.
    Hi,
    The Extension Manifest gallery item that's in 10.1.3 production's Extension SDK at least provides a starting point. It will generate extension.xml automatically based on values entered in the creation dialog.
    There were a couple of other extension design time features in 10.1.3 preview that were pulled prior to production. This was mainly due to scheduling constraints (a number of other features had higher priority), changes to the extension SDK API between preview and production, and several bugs and design issues with the functionality.
    As I mentioned, extension design time support will be expanded in future releases, and is now a priority for us. These improvements are currently targeted for the 11.0 release, but it's not inconceivable that the ESDK for 10.1.3 could be updated with these improvements too if there's enough demand.
    Thanks,
    Brian
  • API for WebLogicServer8.1
    I am currently using weblogic8.1 and workshop.
              I am a developer, currently working in the webservices applications under workshop.
              I want the complete api for weblogic server.
              for example weblogic.jms.common.MessageFormatException or which classes and interfaces are there under com.bea.control package.
              That api is very useful for me.
              please help me if you know the answer.
              just give me a mail to [email protected] for weblogic serverapi for weblogic server
    It sounds like you're looking for the Javadoc for the public WLS APIs.
              The Javadoc for the public WebLogic Server classes can be found here:
              http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs81/javadocs/index.html
              You'll probably also want the Javadoc for the standard JMS API, since that's what you'll program most with when you use JMS. It can be found here:
              http://java.sun.com/products/jms/docs.html
              The weblogic.jms.common package is an internal package, so it's not Javadoced. All the BEA JMS classes implement the appropriate interfaces in the javax.jms package. In addition, there are some BEA-specific API extensions in the weblogic.jms.extensions package.
