HELP PLEASE Trying to stop js background from tiling

Final try,
I have found some code online and applied it to my website so it will load a random image when it refreshes. So far just tested it with 3 images, here
It works but it keeps tiling my images. How can I apply the Muse settings "stretch to fill" to this code?
Any help appreciated as I'm sort of desperate to fix this problem

I have tried adding script to the page properties <head> settings but this doesn't work so I have been editing the exported html file in Word Pad

I will recommend that instead of editing the code in the wordpad, use the "Object->Insert HTML" menu option to insert the JS script.
As far as your script is concerned, you are only applying a background image to the HTML element, but not passing additional properties to adjust the image. What you see below is just an example that I can come up with.
Change this

to

I have been reading the help, but it just wonn't work when I try.
I have tried as followed (I am working with a danish version, and hope to matched the same word as in the english version of Acrobat Xpro):
1. From the toolbox i choose content and then 'hyperlink'
2. I mark the text from which i wish to make a link
3. Acrobat respond with an popup picture 'create a link'
4. From the popup I mark 'Open a side' and push 'next'
5. Acrobat respond with a new popup picture 'create / go to a side'
6. I go to the navigator and open the list with attached file's that I have embedded in my acrobat file.
7. I mark the to which i wish to make a link to
8. In the popup 'create / go to a side' that stilll is open, i push 'Mark hyperlink'
Then I hoped that I have created a link from the acrobat text to the attached file. In stead Acrobat has made a link to the same sidenumber that respond to the text from which i wish to make a link . F.ex. the linktext is on side 10 - then the link goes to side 10.
How do i do it right?

This corresponds to the text I have tried myself, but apparently I do something wrong
1.      Open a PDF that contains a PDF file attachment – done
2.      Go to where you want to create a link. If that location is in the file attachment, click the Attachments button in the navigation pane, select the file attachment, and click open.
Here I go to side number 10 from which I wish to make a link from (I am not open the attachment file at this moment, as the location not is inside the file attachment).
(I earlier also tried to mark the attachment file and click open, and It result that the attached file just opened normally without creating a link to the file).
3.      Choose Tools > Content > link, and select the area for the link
Here I mark the text on side 10 from which I wish to make a link to a attached file
4.      In the Create Link dialog box, set the link appearance, select Go To A Page View, and then click Next
Here I have selected ‘Go to a page view’ as told and I click Next
5.      Set the page number and view magnification you want, either in the parent PDF document or in the file attachment, and then click set link.
Here I go to the navigation pane and mark the attached file from the file list (the files in the list hasn’t any side number in the list) and then I click Set Link.

Help, please! to stop animation of one symbol from anover or stage

I'm not a great specialist in jquery, but I've had to deal with it. And have some expirience... But i can't do an elementary thing in edge animate, i guess. So, help me please!))
I need to stop some child symbols from the timeline of parent symbol(or Stage). On the timeline of stage, i have trigger. At this moment all the child clips have to stop as one...
I try to insert into trigger this code:

But I think I have some different problem
It is in the organization of my clips:
Stage->Ship_going->Ship_swinging->stan
Stage->Ship_going->Ship_swinging->bizan
Stage->Ship_going->Ship_swinging->bak
Stan(and overs) are the clips wich are looped, and thats why, I think they can,t stop.
(They are the flags of ship. And the problem is in that fact that when ship stop i want to stop all animation including the loop animation of flags, then I want to deleete all clips, but I cant delete this clips in the same way Icant stop them)
I can show the example of my clip for you(itis rather amusing)))) and i guess you shall understand what i'm talking about)))

Need Urgent help please? I need to restore from a previous iphone backup.

Oops, I admit it - I messed up but need help please?? I received a replacement iphone today. My broken iphone OS and my itunes had the latest software updates and I did a full backup before going to the store to get the rerplacement. However, when I got home with the replacement iphone and plugged it in, it asked if I wanted to update the OS on it. I made the mistake of saying yes. It then made a backup of the empty factory settings from the new replacement and restored from that rahter than the backup I made before going to the store. Yes I know I should have said no and just did the restore which would have resotred my previous backup that I made before going to the store. Then after everything would be allright I could have told it to update the OS.
You can slap my in the face or I will do it myslef for making such a stupid mistake. All ready did the "I should have had a V" thing to my forehead.
After seeing the restore was fromthe factory settings rather than my earlier good backup, I went into my documents and drilled down to the mobile sync backup and saw that one of the three folders (with giberish as a title) has a lot of information with the date and time I did the backup before going to the store.
Could I possibly delete the later (factory setting backup) folder and then do a restore to get my good backup onto the iphone? I didn't do that yet in fear that it might mess something else up on the iphone and I wanted to check with you experts here first for guidance and assistance, PLEASE?

The "Backup" do not store your Applications, Music, Video's. It saves your settings, your application preferences, etc.

Troubleshooting: Help please. Creating a PDF file from a Photoshop-designed project

I wanted to add personal design elements to my resume so I decided to use Photoshop to add in a logo and a footer. The problem is, when I converted the 3 Photoshop .psd files (3 pages) to .pdf files, the combined file came out to be very big in size. The biggest was 2.88 MB and the smallest that I got it to be without compromising the quality of the text and images was 1.48 MB.
What did I do wrong?
I've seen other .pdf files with more images and more color and definitely more pages and text which were only 300KB in size. How can I make my final .pdf file size small but still retain the quality of the original design from Photoshop?
I've tried merging the layers before saving. I've tried turning the files into .gif files before making the pdf. Into jpegs before making the pdf. Changing the canvas and image sizes in Photoshop into super small which made the final pdf file unreadable and super blurry. I'm at my wit's end.
Details:
.psd image size 8.5 by 11 inches (normal resume size)
colors - black, gray, light blue and light yellow
Images are very minimal, 4 lines total and around 5 circles at the header of the first page and footer of the 3rd page.

This is so sad. I read your comments and I said, "Huh?" Haha!
I tried the indexed color option and it did make the final file smaller. Around 600KB. But there's probably another way to make it even smaller like the gazillion-paged pdf file that I mentioned that was only about 300KB.
And by saying a layout program, does that mean like Adobe InDesign? Does that mean that I should just make my graphics in Photoshop and then import using another program and finish the file there?
What other layout programs can I use?

I'm trying to remove the background from pictures and PDFs.

Hello All, this is the 3rd or 20th time I've tried removing backgrounds. I install water equipment for a living and try to manage my website on my own. Each time my products change, my suppliers send me literature in PDF format. Sometimes I'm installing the equipment before I have the literature. I take pictures of every install I perform and would love to use my pictures without the dirty basement in the background.
I've spent hours trying to work with just one picture. All that fine detail, erasing, and zooming in and out, then click! I lose it, or can't save it, or it just doesn't work. I've watched tutorials, and watched it done right in front of me (on a PC) at my print shop. I thought I'd ask this community, because I've had 100% luck on here everytime.
So, can I use the same software to remove images from PDFs and backgrounds from pictures? Which do you recommend? I have Adobe Photoshop CS2 and Adobe ImageReady CS2. I also have Gimp that I downloaded for Mac. Since I've never been successful with any of them, I'm not sure which one is wasting my time.

Extracting images and removing backgrounds can be very complicated. There are many different techniques and methods for doing it: the trick is finding the right one for the image you're working on. Every image is different and what may work for one may not work for another. You can do all of the basic techniques in Photoshop CS2, though it's a little easier in newer versions. I'd recommend going through as many online tutorials on image extraction as you can tolerate. There are hundreds of them. (While I find him annoying to listen to, Russell Brown has made some excellent tutorials on the subject. Try this one to start.
While it is possible to edit an image embedded in a PDF, you really need Acrobat Pro to do it. Acrobat sends the image to Photoshop, where it can be edited, and then Photoshop sends it back to Acrobat after you're done. Or you can save it as a separate file. In the 20+ years I've used Adobe's stuff, I've never done that. It's usually much easier to do a screen capture of the image and then work on that copy. (There are some sizing and magnification issues involved with this, however.)
In Photoshop, pay particular attention to Quick Mask mode, learn how masking works, how to make a selection based on a color range, how to use the Pen Tool to make a path that can be used as a selection, and how to save and load selections. Getting a clean extraction takes a lot of practice and it's almost never quick or easy, but it's worth the effort to learn how to do it well.

hi all sorry if this is off topic but i play jedi knight jedi academy multiplayer and my server and my internet connection, or my i.p i'm not sure which or if it's both but i'm being DDOSed. is there a way to stop my connection/i.p from being attacked and making my connection so slow? is there a program i can buy or download for free that will 100 percent protect my ip/connection from DDOS attacks without a question of a doubt?. thanks

If your IP is being obtained from people on skype because they know your Skype IP then you need to enable the following. It will protect you as long as your contacts are not the one's doing it. If they are, they would no longer be my contacts to protect myself and on a personal level.
If your IP is being obtained by the games you play or you are hosting a server by IP, then there really is nothing you can do. Even if you utilize a proxy server paid or free, it will only stop you from being knocked completely offline, but won't stop your server from going down. Only your ISP may be able to help you and all they might be able to do is block the offending party or change your IP, but that doesn't solve the end problem.
The real-world solution against DDoS attacks is a combination of software, hardware or cloud, offering psuedo DDoS protection, which may be out of anyone's normal/comfortable price range. You can do a web search for DDoS protection and you may be able to find something that will work for you.

Help please! how to reduce pdf from 33mb to 12mb??

help please! I'm trying to get some fete posters/A4 flyers printed thru VistaPrint. My PDF file is 33MB, but they can only take files 12/13MB. They suggested I use Adobe to save at the correct size, but after an hour i still can't figure it out! argh...

It is potentially possible with Acrobat, not Adobe Reader. It very much depends on its contents how much size reduction you can achieve. [Use File | Save as Other | Reduced Size PDF, or Optimized PDF.]

You didn't delete the text field labels. Move the yellow bars on you text fields to the right and you will see the labels. You can delete the label or use the area for your labels instead of additional text boxes. Using the fields will give better alignment for you text

Problem:
1. When i view the file it has all the departments but the employees are also displayed eventhough i haven't done the mapping.
2. All the employees are listed under every department.
Please help as i have tried everything. I know i am missing something somewhere.

Can u clarify this about how your issue got ressolved. I am also trying with same XML as you have pasted here. I have following doubts.
While setting up XML data server the ro option i have deleted as defalut value is false which allows both read/write & its look like this

I have mapped and written create XML commands in commit section of IKM which looks like this :CREATE XMLFILE #ExportXMLFileLoc FROM SCHEMA SCH_FLDEPT
created the interface and executed,it went through fine,4 rows data transformed into target xml data store,file is generated in the given path .
But in the generated file is same as which have EMPDEPT.xml with data change,but in the target xml data store depart i am able to view newly inserted records.
i want generate an output xml for each of the target of the XML data store, how we can do that please explain me.

HELP PLEASE - "itunes has stopped working" message....

When I open itunes it opens up but after about 2 seconds a message comes up from Windows saying "itunes has stopped working" and that Windows is checking for a solution to the problem. It then stops checking and a new message comes up saying "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly, Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available" it doesn't come up with a solution and the the only available option it gives me is to close the program. I got the same problem a couple of weeks ago but it recommended that I install itunes 7.3 which i did and it has worked fine up until today.
It just so happens that I ordered a new 80gb ipod that I'm expecting tomorrow, so any help would really be appreciated.

Are you still having the issue? Do you regularly download podcasts? If so, take a look at the Download folder that appears under the Store on the left side of iTunes. Do you get the message when the Download folder appears?
If so, it might be a "bad podcast". I've been having the above issue for about 1 week and it turns out that there somehow was a bad entry in the list... As soon as iTunes trying to download it, it crashed. I deleted the entry and the problem went away...
It the meantime, I've set iTunes to only Manually download podcasts.

HELP PLEASE: Trying to upload site to non .mac server

I am a complete newbie when it comes to uploading a site to a server.
I have completed the site I made in iWeb, have not included spaces in the title for each page. All the movies are in .mov or .mp4 format. all my pictures have been attached through iPhoto. I have published it to a folder on my desktop. I am trying to upload to my cousin's server which he created himself using Cyberduck. Unfortunetly he is away the the moment so I can not ask for his assitance. I have the password and user name to the server, & have tried uploading the site once before. nothing came up, apart from a blank page with a few folders that were orignally there before I uploaded the site. Cyberduck says the upload was successful, clearly it wasn't. All the files and folders are shown within the program.
Can anyone help me? I need to upload the site by today, thanks...

This usually means you failed to upload the index.html file. You must upload two items: the index.html file and the folder which has the same name as your site does inside the iWeb app.

HELP, please! My photos have disappeared from iPhoto library & I can only see them on the screensaver.

Firstly, I should say we haven't updated/installed/deleted anything. I just opened iPhoto yesterday and first it told me it couldn't open up without specifying a library, but then it seemed our library has just disappeared. I then created a new library as, I have to admit, me & my DH are complete tecno dummies, but that didn't help much. The only thing which we have done in the past couple of days is set up the screensaver to play our photos. So now we can only see the photos on that - I'm presuming that means they haven't been completely lost (?) but am in a panic as we've got no back-up (three years worth of photos!).
When I go on 'system preferences' (hope that's the correct translation, our computer's using Italian) and the screensaver, I can see 'picture folder' where all the photos are but I can't find that anywhere else on the computer.
Also, I read other threads about similar probs & tried launching iPhoto pressing down 'option & control' but that didn't help me out either.
We also spent half an hour on the phone to the Apple helpline here in Italy (yes, that's a charged call) to try and understand what's gone wrong and the advisor just kept telling us she didn't know how to help us out 'cause our Mac is an old model
Apologies in advance for my complete ignorance about how to solve this problem but I'd be really grateful if someone out there could shed some light on what's happened.

when you say to go to my Pictures Folder, do you mean to go on Finder, then Pictures, then look at the iPhoto library?
Yes. Is there more than one there?
The material in your screensaver are cached images. They cannot be recovered and soon they will go way.
If you have deleted your Library (and it sounds like you have done this, accidentally) the you have deleted your Photos and you need to restore from your back up.

LOST PASSCODE
You should be able to remove the passcode by restoring the device. Do the following:
Connect the device to the computer to which you normally sync;
Open iTunes (Note: If iTunes prompts you to enter the passcode, try another computer that you have synced with. Otherwise, go to "If you have never synced your device with iTunes" in http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1212 )
Right-click the device in the left column of iTunes and select Back up (read this article on how to restore http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766 )
When the backup is complete, select Restore
When finished, restore from your most recent backup
To restore read the restore section in this article http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
If that doesn’t work you will need to perform a factory restore to remove it.
