Help-Eclipse Lombaz config -debug on Weblogic [ reply ]
2005-07-12 21:31
Require help to configure my project in Eclipse with Lmbaz onto Weblogic 8.1.
Following is a brief scenario of my problem:
I have an existing web-based project that i need to import into Eclipse.
I have Eclipse 3.0 and Lombaz 3.0.1. I use this with Weblogic 8.1, JDK 1.4.2 and Ant.
My project requires some environment xml files to be loaded and i have them set in the classpath.
I am unable to import the project and start it in the remote debugging perspective.
Can you please help me import my project into Eclipse and to use Eclipse with Lombaz for debugging on Weblogic?
The following is a part of what i have in my build file.
This shows the diorectory structure as it exists in my project and the build directories(from which the war is created)
<property name="src-root" value="C:/my-project" />
<javac srcdir="${src-root}/src"
<target name="copyfiles" depends="init">
<fileset dir="${src-root}/js" >
<fileset dir="${src-root}/css" >
<fileset dir="${src-root}/images" >
<fileset dir="${src-root}/html" >
<fileset dir="${src-root}/jsp" >
<fileset dir="${src-root}/letters" >
<fileset dir="${src-root}/envXML" >
<copy todir="${build}/WEB-INF" >
<fileset dir="${src-root}/DD" >
</fileset>
</copy>
<copy todir="${build}/WEB-INF" >
<fileset dir="${src-root}/tld" >
</fileset>
</copy>
<target name="init">
<mkdir dir="${build}" />
<mkdir dir="${build}/css" />
<mkdir dir="${build}/js" />
<mkdir dir="${build}/images" />
<mkdir dir="${build}/template" />
<mkdir dir="${build}/RMDEnv" />
<mkdir dir="${build}/RMDTemp" />
<mkdir dir="${build}/RMDLog" />
<mkdir dir="${build}/RMDLog/AppLog" />
<mkdir dir="${build}/RMDLogLog/DebugLog" />
<mkdir dir="${build}/WEB-INF" />
<mkdir dir="${build}/WEB-INF/classes" />
<mkdir dir="${build}/WEB-INF/lib" />
<!-- mkdir dir="${root}/WEB-INF/classes/src" / -->
</target>

good that you posted the SoniqMQ params.
You have configured WLS to look for the Local JNDI names in the MQ params.
You need to use
"SonicMQSampleQ1" for destination-jndi-name
AND
"SonicMQQueueConnectionFactory" for connection-factory-jndi-name
Hope this helps.
Thanks and regards,

  • Eclipse Plugin for debugging apps on the WebSphere Application Server 5.0

    Does anyone know about an Eclipse plugin for the debugging of the applications deployed on the WebSphere Application Server 5.0 like JBOSS-IDE for jboss???
    Any info would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks

    There is a new JBoss project with the aim to provide a world class IDE for JBoss. Its first release contains the debugging and monitoring of JBoss servers and the controlling of there life cycles as well as a very comfortable and sophisticated support for XDoclet.
    You can visit: https://sourceforge.net/projects/jboss/ for the download.
    Hope this helps,

    why it has been arised and how??????...how will it be resolved????
    from my side....once i cancelled the recording in the middle after its loaded of 4 records. then after i ran it successfully for the balance records by the sequence way....is this the reason or something else...

    Dear Sankarbabu,
    IF there's no setting for Date Check in OS54 - Engineering Change Management
    Control Data,then you can create a change number with past dates,and also to
    use the same one for changing BOM.
    Tell me one thing you are saying you want to use ECM.Was the earlier one
    created without BOM was created without an ECN?
    See already if you have created your BOM with an ECN,then remove the date
    check setting which I have mentioned in OS54.
    Now goto T code CC02 ,enter the Change number and give the valid from date as
    01.10.2007.
    After that check in CS03 whether this date(01.10.2007)is getting reflected or not.
    I'm sure this will solve your problem.

    I have a .ear file of my application deployed on the websphere appserver. Currently I can test my application in nobebug mode.
    values of environment variables are -
    JAVA_HOME - C:\DEV\IBMJDK142; C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_03

    I want to test the application in debug mode.
    I am using default server on websphere, which is server1.
    In Admin-console of webshere I went to
    server-->Application server-->choose server1-->Debugging Service ---->checked the checkbox "Enable service at server startup"
    Here value of my JVM debug port is 7777.
    next In Eclipse env I chose Run---->Debug....--->Remote Java Application ----> created a new application with the name of my application and set the connection properties to -
    Host - localhost
    port-7777
    Eclipse----> Windows----->Preferences---->Server----->Installed Runtime---->Add---->selected values such as -

    server profile directory - C:/DEV/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/default
    cell - GCWSNTRANode01Cell
    node - GCWSNTRANode01
    server - server1
    Next---->Added the project to configured project ----->FINISH
    Closed Eclipse to save env settings.
    Started the default server (server1)
    opened eclipse - desired project--->debug perspective ---->choose server--->Right Click----Start/Debug
    mesg "Starting ServerI BM Websphere 6 - IBM Websphere 6 failed to start"

  • Adobe Photoshop CS6 provides no engine for debugging

    Hello,
    I've been trying to diagnose a problem with my wife's copy of CS6 Web and Design premium. Basically it's unable to run any JSX script that requires the Debug engine. I receive the error message 'Adobe Photoshop CS6 provides no engine for debugging' - trying it on Illustrator also gives a similar error. Persisting by clicking the 'play' button brings up a popup error message that says 'Unable to Run Script' or something similar.
    Note that if I hack our JSX script to bypass the debug engine it works fine - except certain PSDs will cause CS6 (and my older copy of CS4) to crash, so this is only a stopgap measure. Disabling OpenGL on CS4 seems to prevent crashing but it's not an option on the wife's copy since she's a full-time artist and I'm not.
    This is what I've had to change -
    $.level = 2;    // debug level: 0-2 (0:disable, 1:break on error, 2:break at beginning)
    debugger;        // launch debugger on next line
    Changing the $.level = 0 lets me continue without issue.
    This problem does NOT exist on my laptop using the same installer downloaded from Adobe.com. (I use trial version for testing, she uses her serial no.)
    Is it possible this problem persists because I uninstalled an old copy of Photoshop CS5 (standalone installation) AFTER installing CS6 Web & Design (multiple programs)?
    I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling CS6, but the problem persists.
    Please help, our jobs rely on this. >.<
    Worst case scenario I'll copy the entire install folder over from my laptop to try and fix the problem but I'd rather not have to since we're currently working in different countries and I can only use Remote Assistance to help.

    The problem is the SCRIPTS work - the debugging engine is what's missing for some reason. Even if there's a way to just cleanly uninstall everything so I can start from scratch without formatting the hard disk would be a good solution. (since apparently I think I missed some files somewhere on the last uninstall)

  • How to change location for config files in WLS6.0 (like weblogic.home and weblogic.system.home in 5.1)

    Hi,
    I would like to point weblogic to a directory NOT under c:\bea\... for it's configuration.
    I used to do this on WLS 5.1 by setting:
    weblogic.home=/weblogic and weblogic.system.home=/projects/wlsconfig
    This way my config was NOT coupled to the weblogic install.
    I want to do the same thing, and have the config directory located in /projects/domainconfig
    for example.
    weblogic.system.home etc doesn't seem to do anything. The
    only variable that does anything is bea.home, but I need weblogic to find it's
    libs etc in /bea, but ONLY the config should be elsewhere.
    Any help would be great.
    Thanks,
    Dion

    From SP1 and beyond, you can use
    -Dweblogic.RootDirectory=<dirname>
    * The property for specifying configuration location:
    * The directory name of the domain from which to load the specified
    * configuration. The default is ".".
    * -Dweblogic.RootDirectory=<dirname>
    * The directory must exist.

  • ABAP "WRITE" Statements for Debugging

    Just curious to know if one can use ABAP write statements in Update Rules for debugging and auditing, and where the results are actually written to, and if they're accessible via the AWB.
    Thank you.

    Jerry you can write to the monitor from within the update rules.
    The debug message you were going to write out instead go ahead and append your message to the monitor structure.
    FORM compute_data_field
    TABLES   <b>MONITOR</b> STRUCTURE RSMONITOR
    USING    COMM_STRUCTURE LIKE /BIC/CS8ZTESTODS
             RECORD_NO LIKE SY-TABIX
             RECORD_ALL LIKE SY-TABIX
             SOURCE_SYSTEM LIKE RSUPDSIMULH-LOGSYS
    CHANGING RESULT LIKE /BIC/VZTESTCUBT-INVCD_QTY
             RETURNCODE LIKE SY-SUBRC
             ABORT LIKE SY-SUBRC.
    You will then be able to view any messages you have added to the monitor in the monitor.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers

  • Urgent Help Reqd: Delta Problem....!!!

    Hi Experts,
    Urgent help reqd regarding follwoing scenario:
    I am getting delta to ODS 1 (infosource : 2LIS_12_VCHDR) from R/3. Now this ODS1 gives delta to Cube1. I got one error record which fails when going to cube (due to master data check).And this record would be edited later.
    So I thought of re loading cube and using error handling to split request in PSA and load valid records in cube.Later when I have coorect info abt error, I would load erroneous record manually using PSA.
    I did following steps:
    1)Failed request is not in cube...(setting is PSA and then into target)....also it has been deleted from PSA.
    2)Remove data status from source ODS1.
    3)Change error handling in infopackage to valid " Valid records update, reporting possible".
    4)start loading of cube.
    But when I did this I got following message :
    <b> "Last delta update is not yet completed.Therefore, no new delta update is possible.You can start the request again if the last delta request is red or green in the monitor"</b>
    But both my requests in cube and ODS are Green...no request is in yellow...!!
    Now the problem is :
    1) I have lost ODS data mart status
    2)how to load valid records to cube, since errorneous record can be edited only after 3- 4 days.
    3)How not to affect delta load of tomorrow.
    Please guide and help me in this.
    Thanks in advance and rest assured I will award points to say thanks to SDNers..

    I apolgize and I have modified the message above..
    I just checked in cube...there is no failed request for today...and neither in PSA....Person who has handed this to me may have deleted this is PSA..and why req is not in failed state in cube...I am not sure..though setting is "PSA and then into data package".....
    So how to go frm here....

  • How to start SAPGUI at entry point to RFC for debugging (using JCO)?

    Hi,
    I am calling an RFC using JCO and trying to have the SAPGUI pop up at the entry point to the RFC for debugging.  But it is not working on Mac OS X.
    I activate the debug via
       JCO.Client client = JCO.createClient(..);
       client.setAbapDebug(true);
       client.setSapGui(1);
       client.connect();
    it gives error:
    sh: line 1: /usr/sap/DV2/SYS/exe/run/sapgui: No such file or directory

         at com.sap.mw.jco.rfc.MiddlewareRFC$Client.connect(MiddlewareRFC.java:1098)
    I then tried to set environment variable SAPGUI=/Applications/SAPGUI\ for\ Java\ 6.3r5.2/SAPGUI\ 6.30rev5.2.app/Contents/MacOS/SAPGUI
    and it then starts up the SAPGUI for Java Logon Pad.
    But, I want the SAPGUI to start up at the entry point to the RFC.
    Is this possible in Mac OS X?  It has worked before on Windows using the RFC SDK utilities or middleware tools such as IBM Crossworlds.
    Thanks

    Hi Robert,
    Thanks for the reply, it was very helpful as I had given up hope on getting a solution.  Unfortunately I am still getting an error.
    1) I created a script as per your directions containing

    2) Now the SAPGUI application starts, but does not open a window and I get the error:

  • Connect with different server for debugging

    hi to all,
    is it possible to connect to a different server for debugging? this is to share the development environment !!
    please advise.

    Hi,
    Thanks for your question
    You can create SharePoint 2013 project in your Visual studio 2013 without installing SharePoint on your local machine.
    Please follow below steps : Go to the server where SharePoint 2013 is installed and follow steps from 1 to 3
    Go to Run and type "regedit"
    Navigate towards HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office
    Right click on 15.0 and click Export. Save the exported file
    Now go to your machine where sharepoint is not installed and follow below steps:
    Now open Registry on your machine
    Import the 15 directory which was exported from SharePoint server
    Open Powershell
    Run this command
    Set-ItemProperty -Path "HKLM:\Software\Microsoft\Shared Tools\web server extensions\15.0\" -Name "Location" -Value "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\"
    Now open visual studio 2013 and you will be able to create SharePoint 2013 project without error.
    I hope this is helpful to you. If this works, Please mark it as Answered.

  • Oracle SQL Developer Release 1.5.5 "compile for debug"

    Using Oracle SQL Developer Release 1.5.5 on Windows XP pro machine connecting to 9.2.0.4 database on AIX machine.
    Trying to debug a procedure, in the navigator window, I rt-clk the procedure and select "Compile for Debug", then nothing happens. This happens for every procedure I've tried. I've been granted both DEBUG ANY PROCEDURE and DEBUG CONNECT SESSION. Any ideas?

    This is the first I've used SQL Developer, so I'll take the blame. I had not noticed that the Messages Log does in fact tell me that the proc compiled. However, the debug icon (little red bug) was nowhere to be found.
    I see now that I need to Edit, not Open, the proc in order to debug. If I had read the Help screens a little more closely, I would have seen that I needed to be in Edit mode. My bad. Thanx to all for your responses.
