Help required in smartform output medium
Hi All!
I have a requirement where in the smart form, may be either:
printed,
saved as a pdf,
sent as a fax,
sent as an e-mail.
we want all the logics to be in the print program based on any criteria.
Is it possible to include all such logic in the same print program, and if so how can we choose the output medium, at the runtime i meant based on what criteria, the program is going to give the output.
Thank in advance!!!
Ashok
Assured reward points.
Hi,
This is possible.
You have to provide controls in your driver program and accordingly call the FM for either print, email or FAX on user choice.
1. For Printing you have to directly call the smartform in your program.
2. For Pdf - printing smartform
3. For email/Fax - How to send smartform as an email or fax

Help required: Two smartforms for same output type?
Dear All,
I have a requirement to display bill of lading for a shipment.
The shipment usually contains two kinds of materials.
The data to be displayed for the first set of materials data is different from what is
displayed for the second set/kind of materials. The layout(columns and structure) is entirely
different. But the user wants to see the two sets of data in two pages, (for the same output type).
But, from what I know, we can only associate one smartform to an output type.
Any inputs.
Thanks.Hi
V/30, just check your output type, if you click on form and routines there is option assigning multiple programs and forms (i,e, Upto 5).
Have not tried it , you can try and let us know your feedback

Help required with PID outputs
Hi I hope someone can help with this issue. I am trying to control temperature using the PID.vi. I’ve built a small model. The cooling element is from a computer fan and the heat source is a large power resistor. The PID output is feeding into a PWM.vi, which is being used to drive the cooling fan.Everything works accept when I raise the setpoint (temperature), the output from the PID.vi goes high. The fan kicks on and the temp drops even further. The same happens in reverse, when I drop the setpoint (temp) below the current (process variable) temp the output from the PID should start up the fan instead it justs sets it to zero output. In short my PID is trying to control a heating control loop when in actual fact I want it to control a cooling fan. How do I go about changing the PID output to reflect this? Any solutions or tips would be greatly appreciated
Solved!
Go to Solution.Hi, you need to work out if your process is direct or reverse acting. It sounds like it is reverse acting. You could try negating your gain kc. If that doesn't work post your code so we can take a look for you.

Help require to get the XML output to design template- JDE
Hi Friends,
I am asking this question from JDE perspective.I want to design XMLP Template for R40572 Check Printing.
When I upload an blank template and after attaching RD, When ever I initiate a check from P04572 Application.RThe Write Row exit will lead to check printing which in turn will call a batch R04571 and this batch will call R04572(Which I require the XML output) since it is the second report and we cant direct it to local server I am not able to get the XML output..
Another think is since its running in server i think its not taking the RD modification we done in loacl because it always fires PDF .Hi,
I assume you're Using XMPOSA for generating the files locally. What I suggest is, you set the application to run with the report definition by default. That way, even when it is called, it will be called along with the report definition. You can take the resultant XML file from P95630
hope this helps,

BADI for updating changing output medium in PO
Hi,
Is there any BADI or exit present for updating the output medium in PO , based upon some criteria ?
In my requirement I want to make output medium as <b><b>'email'</b></b> and set email address to email ID of one of the partner function maintained in PO.
Thanks and Regards,
Amit RHi
<b>At runtime, you will get the GUID in the BADI Interface.</b>
Incase this BADI does not help, go for another BADI
1) <u>BBP_SEND_MEDIUM_MODE</u>
(Determines the Default Settings for the Send Medium)
2) '<u>BBP_OUTPUT_CHANGE_SF'</u>.

Hello,
I want to convert smartform output to html and send the output in an email body. I have followed the blog Sending HTML Email from SAP CRM/ERP and got the output in outlook but its not formatted correctly in other email clients. If any body else had same issues and was able to resolve, please suggest. Also I am trying to convert form spool output to html and send it but I am not able to use LIST_FROM_MEMORY Fm , its not returning the abap list table. So is there a way to convert form spool output to abap list?HI friend,
I am not having the exact solution for your requirement but i think this will help you a bit.
See this white paper in SND for sending mails in HTML format.
Link: [Sending mail with HTML attachment|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e009f97e-ee5d-2e10-31ba-9c9509e5925c?QuickLink=index&overridelayout=true]
I think this will help you. If you have any doubt in that white paper please revert back to me i will help you.

Purchase order smart form - e-mail smartform output and item attachments
Hi,
Our release is ECC5.0. By configuration the PO smartform can be e-mailed to vendor as PDF attachment by standard output medium, external send. And this already works. However, the additional functionality required is:
1.) The documents attached to the actual PO line items should also be e-mailed as attachments to the vendor.
How can I accomplish this?
Do I need to write addition logic in my print program to retrieve these attachments by PO number and send them as a seperate e-mail with attachment? OR
Is there any way to send these attachments on the same e-mail where the PO is sent as a PDF attachment. OR
Can this be done by configuration?
Regards,
K..Hi Ahmad ,
I got the same problem with a little more complexity because the mail can b send to several mails adresses ( some in copy ).
For the requirement to send also the document linked in PO's item , there's no standard solution . So you need to write a specific program for this .
You can have a look at this Sending DMS documents as Email attachments , you will find information on how to retrieve the content of the document.
Let me know if you need more explanation.
Best regards. -

PDF Conversion of Smartform Output
Hi All,
Requirement : Be able to provide customers with reprinting old invoices.
As Is : We have a standard way of doing it by reissuing a print of the Invoice by going into transaction VF02. But in doing so we have a chance that if some master data changes for that customer or the material those changes will get reflected in the new smartform output.
To Be : We want to be able to exactly reproduce the invoice which was sent out at the time of invoice creation, what I mean to say is on initial issue of the print output, is there any way we can store that output(may be as raw data) and retrieve it and issue a print at a later stage.
Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated.

Smartform Output Amount display in Parenthesis
Hi,
In a Smartform Output my varaible (X_VAR type p decimals 2) is printing out as 434543.65-.
I want my output to be in this format (434543.65) rather than with negative Sign.
Due to my requirement I can't change the type of variables.
Any idea how to Show it on Smartform .Unfortunately Concatenation doesn't work with Variables of Type p.
Any ideas?
Regards
VaraOmitting the Leading Sign:
The ITCDP-TDULPOS field contains the value -100.00. The ABAP Dictionary definition for this field includes a leading sign.
&ITCDP-TDULPOS& -> 100.00-
&ITCDP-TDULPOS(S)& -> 100.00
You might be getting syntax error since smart form editor
is case sensitive. Try with all capital.
Hope this helps..
Thanks,
