Help required!! Java WebService

Hello everyone.
I'm working in JAVA making a WebService using Netbeans IDE. The purpose of webservice is to call an API of another application to do some work. Now that application is installed in another server not on my local system. I am provided with a class file (input.class) to access that JAVA API of application.
Now my problem starts here that i downloaded that class file in my local system but i don't have that whole application. So i developed my webservice included that class too and build my webservice without any problem. Now when i deployed webservice at the server and tested it gives some errors.
javax.servlet.ServletException: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: input
com.sun.jersey.spi.container.servlet.WebComponent.service(WebComponent.java:371)
com.sun.jersey.spi.container.servlet.ServletContainer.service(ServletContainer.java:452)
com.sun.jersey.spi.container.servlet.ServletContainer.service(ServletContainer.java:633)
javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:717)
I googled and found out to be classpath problem, but i set classpath too the same path from where i downloaded that class in application folder. but still its giving the same error. can anybody help me in this. ???????

Bottom line is that it cannot find your input.class. You need to make sure that whatever package that class has is in the same package as you place it.
So if the input.class was compiled with a package of com.mydomain.myproject, you need to put it in that folder structure.

  • *URGENT HELP REQUIRED* java.sql.SQLException: Invalid Oracle URL specifed

    Hi all,
    In the middle of the last week for my final year project and having to convert to an Oracle database due to compatibility problems with university Tomcat Server and MS Access. I'm having trouble connecting to the Oracle database and would appreciate some help please.
    Running on Windows 98 in the lab here, and the Oracle 9i, release 9.2.0.2.0, J2SDK1.4.0, Classes12.zip installed OK.
    Code for connection looks like this inside the constructor of my class:
    Class.forName("oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver");
    cardSaleConnexion = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:oracle:[email protected]:1521:sid","user_name","pwdt");
    System.out.println("Connection Successful ");
    And I'm getting the following error when calling the constructor in a driver program:

    Try ojdbc14.jar as the JDBC driver instead of classes12.zip.
    Refer:
    http://otn.oracle.com/software/tech/java/sqlj_jdbc/htdocs/jdbc9201.html
    http://docs.sun.com/source/817-5603-10/index.html
    Database Driver
    This section describes the known database driver issues and associated solutions.
    ID      Summary
    4700531      On Solaris, an ORACLE JDBC driver error occurs.
         This new Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) driver is for Oracle (R) working with JDK1.4. The problem is caused by a combination of the Oracle 9.1 database and ojdbc14.jar. Applying the patch will fix the problem on Solaris 32-bit machine, running an Oracle 9.0.1.3 database.
         Solution
         Obtain and apply the patch to your server from the Oracle Web site for Bug 2199718. Perform the following steps:
         1.Go to the Oracle web site.
         2.Click the 'patches' button.
         3.Type 2199718 in the patch number field.
         4.Click the 32-bit Solaris OS patch.Go to Metalink.oracle.com.
         5.Click patches.
         6.Under patch number, enter 2199718.
         7.Click the 32 bit Solaris OS patch.
    4707531      On Solaris, accessing an Oracle 9.1 database with an Oracle 9.2 Client may cause data corruption.
         If you use an Oracle (R) 9.2 client to access an Oracle 9.1 database, data corruption might occur when a number column follows a timestamp column.
         The problem might be caused by using the ojdbc14.jar file with an Oracle 9.1 database. Applying the patch might assist in addressing the situation on Solaris 32-bit machines, running an Oracle 9.1 database. This JDBC driver is for Oracle working with JDK1.4.
         Solution
         Obtain the patch that Oracle might make available from the Oracle web site for Bug 2199718 and apply it to your server.

    Pankaj D.

  • Urgent Help Required : Java Runtime.exec

    Hello,
    We are using the java Runtime.exec in the AIX 4.3.3 environment. Java version 1.1.8. We are consuming the output of the Runtime.exec without using the threads. i.e we are doing a readline on the output stream of the runtime and printing it to th standard output in a loop. When this is over we take the error stream and do the same.
    We have two problems.
    1. A ksh that is run using the java Runtime.exec is showing up multiple processes with the same as a tree structurre when we do a ps.
    Why is this ?
    2. Also whatever we consume from the standard output/error of runtime and print it to system.out is not being output/error. Any pointers on this ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Raj.

    thanks !
    1. we have single thread executing the command. And there are no multiple processes spawned inside the shell script also.
    2. I am sorry about the phrasing. Eventhough we are catching the output stream and error stream and dumping the output correspondingly, the process ( the shell script ) hangs ! And this behaviour is sporadic. Please let us know why the process should hang !
    Thanks,
    rajesh.

  • Formating the response of Java webservice to table structure in webdynpro

    Hi All,
    I am stuck at a point where I have  a Java Webservice resulting an ArrayList Response.
    My webdynpro will have to populate the ArrayList response into a table.
    Below is the piece of code am using to execute my webservice.
    CODE :
    JavajdbcModel md = new JavajdbcModel();
        Request_Display reqDisp= new Request_Display(md);
        try
        reqDisp.execute();
        wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess("Str: "+reqDisp.getResponse());
    RESULT :
    <modelObject class="Response_Display"><target roleName="DisplayResponse"><modelObject class="DisplayResponse"><attribute name="Response" value="[[i01111, USSS, DSGTechTwo, DEF], [i012345, USSS, DSGTechOne, ABC], [i067890, USSS, DSGTechTwo, DEF], [i07777, USSS, DSG, ggg], [i08888, cccc, vvvv, bbbb], [io3333, USSS, DSGTechOne, abc]]"/></modelObject></target></modelObject>
    The required output are the values that are with the blue font above.
    I have tried with methods like :
    getAttributeValue, getResult - but are of not much help.
    Could you please help me out in this.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Suyukti. B N.

    Dear Suyukti,
    Since your web service returns an arraylist,
    you need to retreive the response into an arraylist. Then you can you this arraylist to populate the node for the table as required.
    Your code will be something like
    ArrayList al = (ArrayList)reqDisp.getResponse();
    Now that you have the response, then use the get function of the arraylist to set the context.
    al.get(index);
    This function returns  java.lang.Object, so you need to to cast into the required type.
    e.g. String str = (String) al.get(0);
    Hope that works.
    Regards,
    Mayuresh.

  • Problem while Consuming Java Webservice from WCF client

    Hi,
    I am trying to Consume Java Webservice from WCF client.The webservice main functionality is digital data management.The client can Query Digital data and upload digital data by calling webservice methods.Problem is when i am trying to call webmethod from WCF client its giving "Unrecognised message versions".I have no idea about how the message objects are processed at serverside.but at server side they have used JAXP for XML document parsing.
    The response content type is Multipart/related and applicatio/XOP+XML.
    Can u plz help me how to handle this situation.I have minimum knowledge in Java WS architecture.Basically i am .Net programmer.
    Can U please guide me in a proper way to resolve the problem.

    Hi Abinash,
    I have the same problem. Have you solve that problem?
    I am using a java program to call a webservice too. And I have generated the client proxy definition for Stand alone proxy using NWDS. When I call the method of the webservice I am getting the correct result but along with the result I am getting one error and one warning message in the output.
    The java code to call the webservice is as follows.
    MIDadosPessoaisSyncService service = new MIDadosPessoaisSyncServiceImpl();
    MIDadosPessoaisSync port = service.getLogicalPort("MIDadosPessoaisSyncPort");
    port._setProperty("javax.xml.rpc.security.auth.username","xpto");
    port._setProperty("javax.xml.rpc.security.auth.password","xpto");
    String out = port.MIDadosPessoaisSync("xpto", "xpto");
    System.out.println(out);
    The result I am getting is :
    Warning ! Protocol Implementation [com.sap.engine.services.webservices.jaxrpc.wsdl2java.features.builtin.MessageIdProtocol] could not be loaded (NoClassDefFoundError) !
    Error Message is :com/sap/guid/GUIDGeneratorFactory
    <b>The result of the WS is correct!!!</b>
    The Java project does not have any warning. But the stand alone proxy project has following warnings associated with it.
    This method has a constructor name     MIDadosPessoaisSync.java
    The import javax.xml.rpc.holders is never used     MIDadosPessoaisSyncBindingStub.java
    The import javax.xml.rpc.encoding is never used     MIDadosPessoaisSyncBindingStub.java
    The constructor BaseRuntimeException(ResourceAccessor, String, Throwable) is deprecated     MIDadosPessoaisSyncBindingStub.java
    It is very similar with your problem, could you help me?
    Thanks

  • Using Java Webservices provided by xRPM 4.0 in PPM 5.0

    Hi,
    We have developed some custom WD ABAP applications in PPM 4.5 which were using Java webservices provided by xRPM 4.0 to get the UI context.
    The details are provided in the document
    https://websmp109.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/012006153200000315412008E/How_to_xRPM_custom_iView.pdf
    We have upgraded to PPM 5.0 and the custom webDynpro application is not able to fetch the UI context and get the portfolio GUID. I have verified that the RFC destination and Logical port required to call Java webservices is maintained as mentioned in the above document.
    Are these SAP standard Java webservices available for use in PPM 5.0 ? Please let me know if we need to change the custom code to fetch the UI context in PPM 5.0
    Thanks,
    Yomesh

    Thanks Amit for the confirmation. I am following SAP Note 0001399319 which mentions about how to develop for custom WD ABAP applications in PPM 5.0.
    The example WDA component mentioned in the note is /RPM/CUSTOM_COMPONENT. I am developed a custom WD ABAP application in lines with the SAP note and still not able to get the GUID in the context.
    The code written in WDDOINIT of these applications is as below,
      instantiate session state class
        wd_this->mr_session_state = cl_inm_session_state=>get_instance( ).
    Obtain current context from session state.
        CALL METHOD wd_this->mr_session_state->get_current_context
          IMPORTING
            es_context = wd_this->ms_context.
    I am getting null in ms_context.
    Please let me know if you have tried to implement an custom WDA application in PPM 5.0. Not sure what am I missing in the above scenario.
    Thanks,
    Yomesh

  • Do we require Java stack for ADS?

    Hello Experts
    i am planning to work on Adobe forms on ECC6. Since it is our ECC system we don't have ABAP stack to that.
    i went through some ADS documentation which says to add java hostnames and port numbers to the ADS Comm channel. also it seems from the architecture that ADS runs into the java stack.
    hence do we require java stack for running ADS or we can install a patch of the same.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
    the ADS is a JAVA Webservice >> You need the Java stack.
