Help! Software update 10.3.1.1565 Is affecting my calls

Ever since I updated my phone to the new software it takes forever to make or answer a call. It rings and I answer and it takes 30 seconds for them to hear me say hello or to hear them. If I answer a call I can't hit speaker right away. Also takes forever to sail if I pick someone from my contacts. All my other apps work fine but this is a business phone and I'm getting frustrated.

There are many issues with that OS version, including what you report. Many have reported at least partial resolution by moving up to the most recent version (which is, I believe now two releases beyond what you cited). Others have elected to fall back to the prior "working" version while they await BB resolving all of the issues. The best way, IMHO, to do either is via AutoLoader...do be aware, however, that depending on what version you fall back to (if you choose that path), you may or may not be able to restore from a LINK backup taken with the OS version you are currently running.

Help - Software Updates has error, "No repository found"

I just launched Flash Builder 4.7 (latest version) for the first time and went to Help -> Software Updates and get this error.
"'Contacting Software Sites' has encountered a problem. No repository found at http://aesplugins.adobe.com/aes/tooling/plugin/10.0."

If all of your Windows did that, this means Windows is somehow corrupted. This happens all the time. My PC will have regular wipe out routine in every six months +/-. Format and do clean installation of Windows again. Or at least try to do "run = c:\sfc /scannow" and put your original CD/DVD Windows installation in.Message Edited by delixis on 20-Nov-200703:12 AM

Help: Software Update for OS X Lion Server

After having a problem with my software update service for some time now, I thought I would implement the fix at
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3867
entitled " Lion Server: Software Update Server may not provide Mac OS X v10.7 software updates after upgrade"
Unfortunately it seems to have broken the service!
I now get the error
<Error>: Unable to retrieve catalog(s) from the Apple server
and
Syntax error on line 288 of /etc/swupd/swupd.conf:
DocumentRoot must be a directory
The offending script is in the apple support document which I copy and pasted.

Just fixed this myself.
SWUPD is expecting a directory within the one you chose, called "html".
Example: /Volumes/XSAN/SWUPD/html
It will not create "html" if the directory doesn't exist.
Create the folder "html" then in terminal do this:
sudo chown -R _softwareupdate:_softwareupdate /path/to/the/folder
Example: sudo chown -R _softwareupdate:_softwareupate /Volumes/XSAN/SWUPD
##do not include/html. the -R means recursive and forces the same ownership on all contained directories.

If you go to the Apple equivalent of: Appdata\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates (sorry am a mere PC user )
If there is a file titled iphone1,22.1_5F136Restore then try deleting it and then running iTunes without your iPhone attached.
Go to the menu and select Help/Software Updates which should then notify you that there are updates and allow you to download them in advance of restoring.
Hopefully this will download the update. Once completed attach the iPhone and restore.
Hopefully this might sort your issue out.

Problem in curve 9320 after software update

Hi, i had updated my curve 9320 with new software as recommended by blackberry desktop software. After the update i am facing many issues after software update:
1. whenever I am trying to make a call or opening any message my phone power suddenly goes OFF and not starting till I pullback the battery and re-inserted.
2. Some time automatically its battery got heated up and there is discharge of battery, but when i pull back and re-inserted battery it becomes normal.
3. Email setup is not working, I am not able to add any email account. whenever I am clicking on email setup there is no reaction.
please suggest what to do. I tried to go back to download old software but I am not able to get it anywhere online.

Welcome to the BlackBerry® Support Community Forums.
I would suggest backing up doing a clean reload of the BlackBerry® device software as shown here: http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/KB11320. Please test before restoring any data to the device.
If this resolves the issue do a selective restore of essential data (Address Book, Calendar, Task, Memos, BBM contacts etc.)

Problem while installing the software update inside eclipse

Hi Widget Experts,
I am facing an error while installing the software updates inside Eclipse,
I downloaded the SAP widgets development tool.zip from SDN and exactly followed the instructions given in
SAP widgets development user guide, but while installing the software update following the path( help->software updates-> find and install->
search for new features to install -> new archived site ) the select local site achieve gets opened, and i try to open SAP widgets development tools.zip,
at this point i get a message saying "Selected Achieve does not contain an update site please select another achieve".

Fixed my problem.
Here is the folder structure of current zip file:
SAP Widget Development Tools - zip file.zip
 - SAP Widget Development Tools
 -- features
 -- plugins
 -- site.xml
The features folder, plugins folder, and site.xml file need to be the only thing in the zip file.
The new folder structure that works looks like this:
SAP Widget Development Tools - zip file.zip
 - features
 - plugins
 - site.xml

Hello all, new to the forums.
I've been recieving the error message "itunes could not contact the ipod software update server because you are not connected to the internet". This problem didn't occur at all for the past 2 years of using itunes.
I've already scanned through numerous websites and forums for help, but none of them worked.
This set of instructions resulted in no change to any of the problems, though iTunes lists that as the supposed solution.
# Open Internet Options from control panel.
# Click the Connections tab.
# Click the LAN Settings button.
# Select the Automatically detect settings checkbox.
Others include installing IE7, which that didn't work either.
Can anyone help?

There are no updates to either OS 10.5.8 or Safari 5.0.6.
If you need a later version of Safari you must first upgrade your operating system to a later version of OS X.

Q10 stuck at reboot after software update - PLEASE HELP

I was checking for software updates for my Q10 yesterday and was informed that there is a new update
I clicked on download and install, and it asked me to reboot when it was done. After that it loaded very slowly until it reached 99% 6 hours later and it remained like that for 12 hours
What I did this morning was remove the battery and sim card and I reinserted the battery, the same thing happened again and it is moving very very slowly
Can you please help?? I would rather find away in which I do not loose my BBM contacts since I have not backed up my phone...are the contacts stored on my blackberry ID or will I loose them if I reset the phone?

Everytime I connect it to blackberry link it says software update available, so I clicked on install, it said downloading update and then nothing happens, the download bar becomes full then nothing changes
I also tried to reload device software, i got a message saying checking repair software and it stayed like that for 3 hours then the device rebooted but nothing happened at all
I even tried redoing the software update from the phone itself 3 times, everytime it would say update successful but the phone would still not make or receive calls
Please help I dont know what to do....could the problem with blackberry link be that im using it on a mac??

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Apple Software Update entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install using an iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) downloaded from the Apple Website:

Software update and iLife help not working in Admin account

For the last few weeks (maybe since iLife 11 was installed) software update and iLife help has quit working on the single administration account on my iMac. All works fine on the secondary accounts.
If I try to use software update it says everything is up to date, even though I know there are updates available that can be seen if checking from a different account on the machine. In iLife, if I try to access the help files it tells me I need to download them. I click to download and after a few seconds it takes me back to the front help page and I then go through the entire process again but the help download never happens. On secondary accounts the help files work no problem.
I've tried many of the tips for deleting helpfile plists, but nothing seems to work for me.
Can any kind person list for me everything I should look to delete or move in the account to get these things working again?
It would be much appreciated!

Since the issue is specific to your original user account, you can proceed in two ways. One is to log into your new account, make a list of the preference files (plists) located in /username/Library/Preferences/, including any in the ByHost subfolder, log back into the original account, move everything on that other account's list from the original account's Preferences folder into a newly created folder on the Desktop, log out and back in, and see if the problem goes away. If so, you can copy the ones in the Desktop folder (one at time) back into /Preferences/, restart, and see if the problem returns. If so, you've identified the corrupt/conflicting one. Continue with all of them until isolating the bad ones. That'll save you the trouble of resetting preferences.
The second way is much more detailed and I'll not burden you with the steps unless the above doesn't fix the issue.

Phone freezing and almost unusable since software update - Help!

I am hoping someone can help. I have a Blackberry Q10 (work phone) and yesterday i downloaded the software update. I didnt notice any issues but when it rebooted it just froze on the home screen (i can see the time /wallpaper etc but cannot make any swipe gestures to move from this screen) I have tried re-booting/taking the battery out etc. I left the battery out last night and this morning plugged the phone into my laptop- that did occasionally free up the swipe function and i can occasionally get into BBM and Text (which are both working) but I can no longer view my email (i can see them in the hub but not read the actual message) and i cannot access my contacts or make or receive any calls. The phone still keeps freezing on the home page (it seems to free up momentarily if i connect to my laptop). the battery is draining very fast also. I am not very tech savvy at all, can anyone help me? (my phone provider is BT) Thanks N

Alright so My iPads App Store doesn't let me download any apps... It always says "(the app)" could not be downloaded at this time. Do you have any restrictions for purchasing apps on the phone? Settings > General > Restrictions. If you have a Mac computer or another Apple device can you purchase things in the App Store using the same Apple ID on something else?
