HT201272 The directions say to click my library button but I do not see that in Itunes 11 with "Show iTunes in the Cloud Purchases" enabled.

I am trying to redownload songs purchased from Itunes on a new computer (Windows 7). I have Itunes 11.0.1.12 installed. The help I found says to click the library button but I don't find it in Itunes. I am hoping for some help with this.

If you have the left-hand sidebar enabled then it won't appear. With the sidebar showing (control-S to get it to show), select the iTunes store, and on the right-hand side of the store homepage there should be Purchased link under Quick Links - click on that and you should then be taken to a screen where what you can re-download is shown (the content types that will show will vary by country, e.g. films can't be re-downloaded in all)

Help with hosting multiple versions of the same schema

I have a problem that I need some help/advice on how to manage it. I have scoured the forums here but only found bits and pieces of what Iâm trying to do.
Basically I have a small application that I am hosting the database for. As each client comes online I need to create a schema for them. I have written the application so that it does not reference the schema name (assumes ownership or public/private schema). If you log in as the owner then everything is fine. However I am at the point now that I would like to start overhauling the security so that I can support and manage the different users logging in. I currently have after update triggers on all tables that sets the user_id/timestamp for auditing issues.
I have a few different scenarios that I need to be able to support as far as clientele.
1)     I host database: 1 client = 1 schema
2)     Client hosts database: 1 client = 1 schema
3)     Client organization hosts database: 1 dept = 1 client = 1 schema (same as 1 except client organization is hosting database). The department are so different (budget, staff, different support contract) that they are different customers but their organization is so big they have large outsourced databases.
4)     There is also the chance that 1 client might allow the same user (single oracle account) access to two versions of the application.
I also have two versions of my software, client/server and an under development distributed/web-based. I need a single solution that works best across both platforms
Anyhow I have been warned that creating private synonyms will become a nightmare once there are lots of users. I also donât want to log in as the schema owner as that too will become very difficult to manage security/rights (especially on a web based system).
I also need a solution that is simple to manage and will fit with the âgenericâ client that hosts their own database.
These are the solutions I see right now:
1)     new instance for each schema â not cost effective and probably not satisfactory for large clients
2)     Re-write all sql statements to use a master stored proc that then dynamically forwards to appropriate schema â sounds gross
3)     Somehow altering my sql statements at runtime to âmodifyâ the schema name dynamically â lot of re-work and difficult to debug
4)     FGAC â sounds perfect but competing clients arenât going to accept that for security/privacy etc no matter how safe I tell them it is.
5)     Using some sort of ALTER SESSION SET CURRENT_SCHEMA and tricking the database to thinking someone else is logged in? â this is the one I found in the forums but havenât found much else on. How is this different than just logging in as the owner?
In my perfect world I think I would want to be able to point roles at certain schemas. But Oracle doesnât seem to support that. Then I could have companyOneReadOnly = company1schema + all the read-only privileges.
Anyhow any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Kim,
May be you can try this and see if this works for you. I am not 100% sure if it will work for you, but worth a try I guess. Create a Test WebDynpro project and try the following steps on this project. If they work out correctly and serve the purpose for you only then try them on your actual Web Dynpro project.
1. Create a test Web Dynpro project say "TestWDProject" with Component say "Comp1" and the default views and windows etc.
Also create some working application our of this component and Windows using the Context.
2. Right click the "Comp1" and select Copy.
3. Right click 'Components" node in the project structure and select "Paste"
4.This step will try to paste the copy of Comp1 as a new Component.
5. You can change the Name and Package of the Component.
6.Similarly you'll get the prompts for views,windows etc.
7.Once you have copied everything, Just check if everything looks good.
8.Now you can create a new Application using this new component and the Component Interface View and Deploy it.
9.Test whether the Application created out of this copy works same as the original component.
You can also try to create another Web Dynpro project and paste the Comp1 in the Components node of that new project and perform the same steps.
Again, try with these Test Projects and see if this serves your purpose before applying the steps on actual projects.

regarding certain field. Currently this is done by creating webdynpro application which will have the help text.
On click of URL, the page will be opened.
The question is Is there a better option to do the same.

I have created a demo regarding this topic for a friend. What I did was:
- create a subform which will display the text
- the subform is hidden
- on click on the help button, the subform is made visible, of course with the "close" button at the bottom
- you only need to think a little about how to maintain the texts/ how to pass the texts into the form
This solution of course works offline, so the use is not limited to WD use.

I just bought the new ipod touch today, and i have spent so much time inbetween school and basketball to organize it perfectly. Everything is good, except the albums. For example i have T.i's new album "Paper Trail". So I get one picture for the album art and paste it into all the album art sections in info. And for some reason Itunes divides the album into to. All the song's where T.i sings alone is one album. it does this for all my albums. any song featuring someone goes onto its own album.. and the songs that do not feature anyone have their own. how do i combine these into 1 so cover flow is better. please help .. it does this for artist too

I haven't actually had a chance to experiment with the iPod Touch or iPhone but I suspect they behave in much the same way as the iPod Classic, my experiences of which form the basis for the advice below.
*HowTo: Grouping Tracks Into Albums*
Excuse the long post, but hopefully covering all the bases (that I can think of) will help you fix the other issues you are likely to run into as you try to organise your iTunes library.
*Use an album friendly view*
iTunes will let you sort music on many columns, some of which are unlikely to group albums together. The most useful order for editing the library is probably *Album by Artist*. If you're not already there, select the list view and click on the column heading for Artist until it reads Album by Artist.
*One cover, too many tracks*
The iPod (and iTunes to a lesser extent) conflates two or more albums with the same title, most obviously with *Greatest Hits*. On the iPod this can result in one album acting as a combination of two or more. Selecting any cover gives all the tracks of all albums with the same title. The workaround for this "Greatest Hits" bug is to give each album a unique title - I tend to go for *Album - Album Artist* as this reads clearly in the iTunes browser. Alternatively you could use the wording as it appears on the cover or append different numbers of spaces for each different album. Somewhat oddly, setting different values for Sort Album doesn't work.
*Album not with others by same artist*
iTunes relies on the Gracenote CDDB database when identifying CD's. This often marks collections or anthologies of an artist's work as a compilation. In iTunes, however, the compilation flag has the logical function of grouping together tracks with the same album name, but different artists on each track, e.g. "Now That's What I Call Metal 666!". These compilations are then all grouped together at the end of cover flow. Most of us however, would expect "Greatest Hits" albums to be listed with the other albums by the same album artist. For albums which are essentially by a single album artist or group it is best to set the appropriate value for the album artist and clear the compilation flag.
*One album, too many covers*
Sadly the iPod ignores the Album Artist field when grouping albums which causes problems when some tracks list guest artists. You can simply mark the entire album as a compilation which seems to be the way iTMS handles it, however that's not an ideal fix. Short of waiting for Apple to address this issue (and as far as I can tell it goes back to the 1st gen. of iPods) we need a workaround. What I do is to put any additional artist info. in square brackets after the song name. E.g. *Track \[Feat. Guest\]* and then set *Artist=Album Artist* for each track. For anthologies where the Album Artist is credited as part of another group, e.g. for Cream tracks on an Eric Clapton anthology, I use *Track \[As Group\]*. For a track where the main Album Artist doesn't receive a credit, e.g. the first track of the Slim Shady LP credited to Jeff Bass, I just set the track name to *Track \[Guest\]* while still setting the artist to the album artist. N.b. I use square brackets to indicate this is not part of the actual song title and also use this style for Mix/Live/Bonus info.
*One album, still too many covers*
iTunes may split albums into two or more sections if some tracks from the album have different values for Artist, Album Artist, Album, No. of Discs or Part of a Compilation. Tiny differences such as trailing spaces, accented characters or variants of symbols can sometimes be quite hard to spot. The iPod is also more sensitive to case variations and may split or reorder an album that looks okay in iTunes. Normally overtyping the desired value for each shared field will complete the grouping of the album into one entity. Occasionally, however, this method seems to fail. When this happens I've found that you can force every field to update properly by adding some extra text - e.g. a trailing X, which once applied seems to complete the joining of the tracks into one album. Once this has happened the extra data can be removed and the album should remain properly grouped.
*Tried that, there are STILL too many covers!*
The Sort Artist, Sort Album & Sort Album Artist fields can be used to override the normal sort order. For example iTunes automatically drops leading prepositions (a/an/the) so "The Beatles" are arranged under "B" instead of "T". Occasionally different tracks from the same album can have different values in these sort fields which can also break up the grouping. Making the sort columns visible in iTunes can help with spotting & correcting such problems.
*One cover for multi-disc album*
Multi-disc albums are often listed as *Album (CD1)* for CD 1, *Album (CD2)* for CD 2 etc. To display these properly using just one cover, each disc should have the correct *Disc X of Y* values set, and then the entire album should be given the single title Album. Being somewhat obsessive I also renumber the tracks sequentially, working backwards from the last track (so that no two tracks ever have the same number) until I reach disc 1. BTW You can still give the individual discs different artwork should it be relevant so that the correct artwork will be displayed as the album progresses.
*One artist, many names*
With some artists, particularly classical composers, you should be aware of alternative representations of their names. E.g. 2Pac vs. Tupac. The menus will work best if for each artist you standardise on just one form of their name. E.g. make a choice between Mozart, W.A. Mozart or Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and then apply it consistently. For classical music I tend also to use the Composer as the Artist & Album Artist and either discard the performer details or place these into the Comments field.

Is there any "mechanical" helper to get my volume levels the same?

I create playlists from ratings,(and comments),- and albums have different volume levels. As I always use my ipod to go to sleep, it is very destructive, to not be able to hear my music one minute, and then have it much too loud the next.
Is there ANYTHING, free or chargeable, physical or software, that can help me get my itunes library to all the same volume level. My problem is agrivated by the fact that I do have some shared downloads, and also someone put my vynils onto cd for me, but at a lower volume.
I might add, that I'm still a learner on the computer. I have been told to change the soundcheck -playback -preferences -itunes. I have tried it, ticked and unticked - it doesn't make any difference.
I'd be very gratefull for some advice. Please HELP, this has been going on for ages. Thank you, in anticipation.

Select statement of severals tables with the same structure

Does anybody know - how to create a single select statement to count entries of several tables. These tables have the same structure and are connected by a foreign key to a - I would call master table. So in this master table - I have the names of all these others tables and what I want should look like this:

Help with recording 2 tracks at the same time

Basically I recently purchased an Audio Interface (BEHRINGER XENYX Q802 USB) and I'm having trouble recording multiple tracks at the same time while using it.
When I set up 2 MONO tracks in my DAW (one using input 1, the other using input 2) all that happens is that I get a recording of one mic over both tracks in my DAW.
This is probably a beginner post and I have looked it up on YouTube etc. but it just doesn't work for me... Maybe it has something to do with my Interface, but any help will be much appreciated.

Help needed!!: Running two the same Ifs services on the same database.

I would like to know if it is ok to have started two LibraryServices at the same time on the same database.
For example:
One LibraryService that is using "IfsDefault.properties" and running on default Apache Jserv (default IFS configuration).
Second LibraryService that is using the same "IfsDefault.properties" (the same database) and running on Tomcat.
I wanted to connect to LibraryService that is already started, but I have read in the documentation that I can do this by finding LibraryService, but only when it is running in the same process. So to have access I have to start my own service connecting to the same database as one that is already running in Jserv.
Is it ok to have such configuration?
Or maybe there is allowed only one LibraryService for one database?
Can somebody help?

you can have multiple LibraryService instances, each pointing to different databases, or all pointing to the same database. LibraryService instances are name-unique, however, so you must give each one its own name. also, they can all be active in the same process (JVM).

I have loaded portal 6.1 no problem on a machine. I am desperately trying to load IMS 5.2 to no avail. It just keeps failing.

Well, Messaging server installation fails if your user domain exists (e.g. your portal users)
Here is the trick to avoid this:
Install Messaging server on a separate ldap path on the same directory server
and then repoint the Messaging user domain configuration to the portal user domain.

De-sync all your music to remove it from the device. Then reset your device: hold down the home button along with the power button until you see the Apple, then let go. Now try re-syncing your music.
