HELP! Suddenly Flash SWF files stopped working in pres!

Hi,
I'm not sure what's causing the problem, but Flash files in my Keynote 08 presentation stopped working and I can't figure out what happened. Would it be because I upgraded to a more recent version of 10.5 or that I inadvertently moved the original Flash files somewhere else or another thing? Any advice?
Thanks!

Thanks Kyn,
You've been a HUGE help.
I've got an external firewire drive with a bootable 10.5.1 partition, so I'm thinking I'll downgrade to 7.2. Your comment got me wondering if 7.2 will run on 10.5.1 or do I need 10.4?
I'm really only going to be using this FW drive to run Keynote presentations and possibly Photoshop. Do you think I'll be OK?

  • SWF files stopped working Flash8

    Hi,
I have uploaded my swf file to the web. It is a video clip .
Some of the swf loads on the web (the text part) when I click a
button, to load it, but the video does not show ? see page 2 of
    link below
    www.geocities/suddentlyisee.com
I have load swf files with video clips before, which worked
perfectly, but suddenly stopped working ?
    Thanks,
    Paul

Thanks Nickels for replying. Sorry about incorrect URL. It
    should have been www.geocities.com/suddentlyisee
I think the issue may be with the geocities web host, as they
do not allow uploading of .flv files. But I did make the flv files
into swf and could watch the video's that way. I am going to use a
different web host and try again.
    Thanks
    Paul

  • Flash Player Has Stopped Working!

All of a sudden, flash player has stopped working on my computer. I have a 64-bit PC, running Windows 7. Flash was running perfectly one day; the next it was not. Hasn't worked since. I've tried downloading the latest version and even installing an older version. Still does not work! (No changes or additions were made to the computer to cause this problem.) Any ideas as to what might be going on and how to fix it? I've done all I know how to do.

  • All of a Sudden, My Flash Player Has Stopped Working

Early Friday afternoon (just yesterday), my Flash Player was working fine.  I am using Mozilla's Firefox on a Windows 7 computer (Dell Inspiron 530S).   Then, inexplicably, it failed.  Several websites reported that something couldn't be displayed because I didn't have Adobe's Flash Player installed.  Gotta tell you, I wasn't making any changes to the operating system nor to the browser.  In fact, I wasn't changing ANY of my settings on ANY computer.  Then Friday evening, Flash Player simply stopped working.
I UN-installed the existing program, re-booted, then RE-installed Flash Player and, again, there is no message saying INSTALLED SUCCESSFULLY.  Could any of these be a delayed result of the the latest version of Firefox, which was released on 9/30/2011, about a week ago?
Now, I can't even install the Acrobat after uninstalling IT.
    Any ideas?

From IE go to the Tools menu and deselect ActiveX Filtering.
    That's it!
If this works for you, please spread the word! I spent hours loading older versions of Flash, configuring Pop-Up Blocker, and generally tearing my hair out.
How would that possibly help resolving the o/p's problem with Firefox...?
Also, why did you spend hours when your solution is right here in the FAQ on top of the forum http://forums.adobe.com/thread/867968

  • Bringing Flash .swf files into Captivate

    Greetings,
I use Captivate 2.0. I have been trying to bring a Flash .swf
file into Captivate with very little success. The flash file is
clickable (so that users can review case study information as they
complete Try It simulations). When I bring the Flash .swf file into
Captivate, it works. However, correction (or failure messages)
display every time the user clicks the Flash .swf file. Is there
anything that I can do within Captivate to stop this issue?
Ideally, I would like the Flash .swf to run on top of the Captivate
file so that users can view the case study details without having
    to see the failure messages.
Please let me know if you have any questions about this. I
hope it makes sense to you.

Hi Zabcde (or PMW or P?)
Can I just understand (sorry for being thick) your situation.
You're trying to get a flash movie into a captivate session that
the user can work on, see, interact with whilst they're also going
through a Captivate simulation (try it)? Does that mean that slides
are advancing for the simulation whilst you're watching the flash
movie? Or are they watching the Flash movie as a kind of help to
then go and do the Try It session?
If it's the first, then I would suggest calling the Flash swf
and the Captivate swf as seperate instances in flash (using
loadmovienum or something). If it's the second, you should be able
to remove the failure captions from that slide so they don't bug
    you.
Apologies if I've got the wrong end of the stick though
    Cheers
    AJ (jiminiCricket)

  • OnClick event in swf file stops a WMP movie that is being play

    Hi
When placed in the same page - onclick event in a swf file
stops a WMP movie that is being play.
I've tryied to add another div with ontop positioning. but it
    didn't work.
I've added a dlear image and it worked but the SWF mouseover
    and mouseclick events disappeared.
    Can someone help me?
PS - it happens only on IE.
    Thanks.

    Hi Alden,
I fear your problem might be the file size (system resources,
actually) of your project. And if that is the case, it will
adversely affect your end users as well, so best find our
definitively right away. But let's assume for a minute that the
    file size is
    not causing the problem ...
Are there any interactive object(s) on the 33rd slide (or
thereabouts) that might be causing the project to stop - like a
    button, click-box, or text-entry box???
A 48 slide movie is not (in and of itself) overly large, so
hopefully you can find some overlooked object that is causing the
    problem...

  • 3 weeks after installing Yosemite Flash Player has stopped working

    Hi Apple Community,
Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
I installed OSX Yosemite about 4 weeks ago, no problems until now.
Just this week Flash Player has stopped working on an education site I belong to.
The college say there's no problem at their end or for the other students.
I am using Chrome which I understand updates Flash Player automatically; has there been an update this week or something that might have caused this problem?
I have tried every suggestion I can find on the internet:
    - uninstalling Flash
    - tried using Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Opera
    - installing the latest Flash
    - Rebooting
    - checking Flash is installed (it is)
Is there anything else I can try?
Or is Flash simply not compatible with Yosemite now?

    Hi ...
No problems with Flash on Safari 8 with Yosemite here so try testing with Safari.
First, make sure Allow Plug-ins is selected in Safari > Preferences > Security
Then from your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
    Click: Remove All Website Data
Now open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Advanced tab.
Click Delete All under Browsing Data and Settings
Then delete the cache. Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
    ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that doesn't help, troubleshoot Safari extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

  • HELP!! Lightroom has stopped working.

Just added serial number to my trial program & it was loading & working just fine for a couple minutes & then all of a sudden it just closed & stopped working. When I go to open it now it says "Lightroom has stopped working" check online or close program, but it doesn't do anything when I go to check online. also when I view program details...it says the even was APPCRASH. Does anyone know what happened. I assume yes, something crashed. But I tried uninstalling & reinstalling & it is still doing it! Can somebody help!!!??? Please?

Open a Windows Explorer, and navigate to the following directory:
    "Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences\"
In there, you'll see a file called "Lightroom 3 Preferences.agprefs". Rename this file to "Lightroom 3 Preferences.agprefs.old", then start LR.

  • Help please - Flash player doesn't work, windows 7

    Hi
My flash player has stopped working.  I can download the latest version 10.2.152.32 and it says it has installed successfully.  When I try to view a web page it either says i need the latest version and takes me back through the latest update successfully but still doesnt work or it just has an empty box with a red cross in the top left corner.
I cannot find it flash player by searching for it on my computer.  I have unistalled and reinstalled it several times and it still doesn't work.
I have tried looking for it in manage addons but it is not listed, only shockwave active x which is enabled.
I have no idea what to do next.  I am using windows 7 32bit.
    Thanks in advance.
    Paul.

    Hi
    Thanks for the reply.
In the flash folder in syswow64 there is: flash10n.ocx, flashinstall,flashutil10n_activex.dll and flashutil10n_activex.
I followed all of the instructions for install and uninstall on the other thread, i ran the malware that you linked to and it found some affected files whichI removed but still not able to run flash despite it saying it installed correctly.
I hope you can help, thanks.

  • How do I add a Flash.swf file to an iWeb page?

I have tried to use the HTML Snippet widget, but I must be doing something wrong. I can drag the .swf file into Safari and it plays. I am sure it is the order that I am trying to do this. Thanks for any help.

Upload the swf file to your server and use the following code in an HTML snippet:
    <embed src="URL TO SWF FILE ON SERVER?" width="XXX" height="XXX" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" /embed>

I use chrome on windows. Every time I am on Facebook and I am trying to play a game I get a message that says flash player has stopped working. How do i make it work?

    Hi juderocks14,
Please first take a check with the other Players and see if they could play the MP4 file normally. If it can't be played, which means it might be corrupted. You may ask at the Bandicam side, or save the files again.
If issue insists, take a try with the Troubleshooter (For Windows 7, 8 and 8.1):
Open the Windows Media Player Settings troubleshooter
Fix Windows Media Player video, and other media or library issues
Or you may try to turn Windows Features on or off to reset Windows  Media Player:
Turn Windows features on or off (Before turn it on again, please remember to reboot first)

What happens if I turn off Windows Media Player?
