Help! Why is my image dissapearing on loop?

I am loading in images dynamically using XML, each into their own movieclip, it plays through once fine, but when I try to play it again the image has dissapeared. Why is my image dissapearing? Your help is GREATLY apreciated!

Have a read in here for a few bits of handy help.

  • HELP, why does saved image look too sharp when re-opened in Photoshop but normal in Windows viewer?

Been using Photoshop Elements 7 for several years and this has never happened before!  I applied sharpening to an image and saved two copies: PSD and JPEG.  When I re-opened the PSD file it looked WAY over-sharpened.  In Photoshop Editor I then opened the JPEG and it too looked way over-sharpened.  But the strange thing is that when I view the JPEG in the Windows Photo Viewer it looks normal!  Just as it did when I originally saved it.   I decided to try an experiment.  I opened the PSD file that now appears overly sharpened and saved a new JPEG.  I then opened the new JPEG in Windows Photo Viewer -- and it looks normal, even though it was saved from the PSD file that looks over-sharp!  I then opened the same, newly saved JPEG in Photoshop -- and it now looks oversharp and distorted, just like the PSD file.  Can anyone tell me what is going on here?  I'm completely confused!  Hope someone can help me figure this out.  Thanks!

The over sharpening may have caused a color shift.
You might have better luck using the adjust sharpness command. Enhance<Adjust Sharpness.
Skip down to "Precisely sharpen an image" on the help page listed below for info on adjust sharpness command.

Note: You will not be able to do the manual USM segment in the above article as Photoshop Elements does not include the Apply Image Command. It does give some start settings to try out.

  • Why am I getting an infinite loop?

I have a for loop that never stops as the question suggests. If the boolean expression is true the loop does not stop. I tried tracing the loop and still cant figure out the solution. Please help. The code where the error is below with comments where the error is encountered:

Lets say th variables have these values
    height = 10
    climb = 4
slip = 1 which effectively adds 3 to total at each step.
    So total is 0, 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18 etc
Total will always be not equal to height.
So change your condition. Also, why are you using a for loop instead of a while loop.Flounder, I was hoping you would answer my question as you always provide good answers. Continuing, I feel so dumb for missing that error. Oh and as for using the for loop instead of a while loop is something i was meaning to change. Anyhow, Thank You.

  • Why is the Image in Canvas Square?

I have about a dozen video clips in my Sequence - they are all DV/DVCPRO - NTSC, 720x480. The sequence settings are 720x480 NTSC DV (3:2), Pixel Aspect Ratio NTSC - CCIR 601 - DV 720/480 and the Compressor DV/DVCPRO - NTSC.
Question: Why is the image in the Canvas square?
Thanks in advance for any help.
    Brian

    it looks stretched taller.
I think you have Anamorphic material.
Start a new Sequence. Go to Sequence > Settings and click the Anamorphic checkbox.
Select a clip in the Browser. Press command and 9. Find Anamorphic in the column on the left.
Click next to it in the Clip column to place a check mark there too.
    Edit into the timeline.
    Does that look better?

  • Iphone 4s with upgrade to ios 6, why are the images I save "save photo" not in my camera roll?

I have an iphone 4s upgraded with ios 6. Why are the images I save "save photo" not in my camera roll? Where do they go?
    Thx,
    surfin steve

Hey, I just had this problem, I went into Settings -> Privacy-> Facebook (which is where I was saving photos from) -> turned it on, then back to settings -> Facebook-> and logged in. When I went back to Facebook and saved a photo and it saved to my camera roll. I haven't tried it with anything else yet though. Hope this helps!

  • Why are my images scrolling from outside the Page width?

Why are my images scrolling from outside the Page width? I am positive i has all the settings correct, to have an image parallax scroll from the edge of the page into the page and out again. But the images are flying in from the browser width - not the page width. This is not the effect I am after.
Any suggestions on how to fix this? Given the key position is only linked to the height, I can't for the life of me work out how to ensure the images start moving from a certain position onthe left and right of the page.
    Thanks

I think the effect you are seeing is a result of how the lineHeight is set up. By default, the lineHeight will be calculated as 120% of the size of the largest thing on the line -- in your case, this is the inline graphic. This is designed to leave space between the line before and the line with the graphic. So it is taking the height of the graphic, multiplying by 120%, and making this the distance between the previous line and the line with the graphic. So the bigger the graphic, the bigger the space above the graphic. Normally this works well with text, but in this case you may want to get closer to "set solid". You can do this by setting the lineHeight to 100%. Or you may wish to leave a couple of percent for the descenders of the previous line. Or, another alternative that may work well for you if you really know exactly where you want the line set, you could measure the graphic, add on the number of extra pixels to leave for the descenders, and make the lineHeight a constant. So you could do something like this:
    <img lineHeight="104%" height="411"/>
    or this:
    <img lineHeight="423" height="411"/>
Obviously you would still need to specify the source and any other parameters you want on the image.
Note that if you are trying to fit a 200 pixel high graphic into a 200 pixel high container, you will hit the same problem -- in order to fit the graphic, the container will have to be slightly bigger than the graphic in order to fit the descenders on the last line. This is true even if the last line contains only the graphic, and no descenders (or text) at all.
    Hope this helps,

  • Why my smart folders dissapear in mail when i close mail application in mountain lion?

Why my smart folders dissapear in mail when i close mail application in mountain lion?
    Please help!

My results jumped up from around 1000 to 10,000 when I did that.
I think this may have to do with having x11 and xcode installed.
In case anyone is interested, these are the folders I've had to exclude:
    User\Library\Developer
    System\Library\Frameworks
opt in the root folder of the HD (this is x11. You may have to Finder's 'go to folder' option to get to it.)
There was also Office stuff coming up which looks like it's from the system when you see it (the identities folder and the subfolder within the Office 2011 folder in Applications)
The combination of this stuff seemed to create the impression of more files from the System and Library folders were coming up than actually were.
In case anyone is still reading, the stuff *still* being thrown up that I'm aware of is
Mountain Lion screensavers from the System and Library folders.
PreferencePanes - System, PreferencePanes - User and PreferencePanes - Library folders, which each show up as individual results.
But, as you say, bispymusic, perhaps Apple has deigned that those folders appear in results. Thanks a lot for your help! Have a good one.

  • Why does my image 'float around' between keyframes?

Why does my image 'float around' between keyframes when I'm transforming it? I want it to stay still for a period of time before I make it move again but it kinda floats around even though I didn't ask it to. Help! And thanks!

You have to set the keyframe interpolation to "linear".
Control-click on the little icons along the path in the viewer to make that change.

  • Why are RAW image thumbnails not being rendered?

OK. I am not sure that I used the right terminology, but I have noticed that Bridge is no longer rendering (? proper term) the Canon Raw image thumbnails properly in Bridge CS6.
I shoot RAW and Small JPEGs. I copy the folder of images onto my external hard from my camera and open Bridge. I see thumbnails of both the RAW and JPEGs with a black border around each image. As Bridge reads each image, the black border disappears from each JPEG thumbnail, but not from the RAW thumbnail like it used to do.
When I click the raw thumbnail once, I get the larger RAW preview image. When I click the larger image and get the loop, the RAW thumbnail then renders and  either the black border disappears from the thumbnail or the corrections made in bridge become visible in the thumbnail.
When the loop is on the larger preview image, the image in the loop enlarges automatically to 200% and I have to take the time to scale it back to read the image selection at 100%.
When I do a batch edit of many RAW images in Bridge, I can click done and the small slider in a circle icon appears above the RAW thumbnail, but the thumbnail is not rendered to reflect the correctiuons made to the image.
This was never an issue before. Bridge was great in reading RAW images at all stages and now it's not.

    Processor  3.7 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon E5
    Memory  16 GB 1867 MHz DDR3 ECC
Graphics  AMD FirePro D300 2048 MB

Have you selected Prefer Embedded previews from the toolbar, or is it set to High Quality on Demand, or Always High Quality?
Have you tried selecting the containing folder, right-clicking and clicking "purge cache for selection"?
It sounds like you are having problems with the cache. Depending on the number of images you have and the speed of your computer, it might be worth purging the entire cache, but this should be a last resort.

  • Imaging.s - while loop - preboot bundle

I've noticed that either 11.2 or 11.2.1 has added a while loop to imaging.s
the comments indicate it is to allow multiple activities to take place.
i have a preboot bundle that runs img to lay down some zmg files. nice and simple.
in this new scenario, the preboot script just repeats (never exits).
I've had a look around but i haven't found anything that i'm suppose to change to suit the new regime.
anyone else in this situation ?
currently, i've comment out the while loop in imaging.s to allow execution as we would expect it, but it's not the right answer as it will have to be edited for every update.
in my script should i be attempting to export a result code so that the "export IMGSUCCESS=1;break;" lines can get acitivated ?
    Code:
    #!/bin/bash
    # imaging.s
    . /bin/config.s auto
    mountFloppyifLS120
    # Do imaging in a loop and break out when done.

  • Why is the image in iMovie reversed?

Why is the image in iMovie reversed? My right hand shows as the left hand and what should be over my right shoulder shows as being over my left. I cannot find any info regarding this. When I open iChat the image is oriented correctly.

    it looks stretched taller.

  • Help, Safari not displaying images properly

I think I have narrowed the issue down to the display:inline-block that i have going on, but i thought this was supported in safari 4. Can anyone tell me why this sites images are not showing up properly?
    fotographitti.com/blog
It shows up perfectly in firefox and in ie8. I haven't tested in others as i am currently lacking resources, but from what I am seeing, the images show up really tiny in safari most of the time. Sometimes it will render them properly, sometimes it will only render 1 or 2 of them properly. Very weird. Chrome has the same issue, but is a little better about it.

Thank you for your reply. This is a site that I am designing, I know not much to look at, lol. The images are just there to test (and are not mine). I need to make sure that the site shows up properly or at least close enough on most browsers. It's weird that sometimes, it will show up properly and if I hit refresh it will get thrown out of whack, or if it's all screwed up and I refresh it will look ok again. I don't understand, why the images are showing up very tiny. I mean, I look at the page source and the code looks good, so why is this not showing up properly... ARRRRRGGGGHH!!!!
