Help with an older version of photo shop elements

Does anyone know how to install adobe photoshop elements version 1.0.1 into win 7 home edition when I try to install it asks for internet explorer 4.0 or greater to install photo shop elements.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.

The family in Holland was using a trail version of 7.0 and have bought a element 7.0 book to get working with photo shop .
They liked the program and bought a version in Holland and installed this and was surprised that this was not in Dutch but English
Having a Book for 7.0 and buying a new version 11 is not a option now as they have just spend 90 euro for the software.

The code you've posted doesn't seem to include Ilikejava's suggested changes - which are, as far as I can tell, the major changes required to bring your applet in line with Java 1.3.
It will be easier to help if you show what is wrong with your code, if it's generating a compiler error message or throwing an exception.

I recently received an older iPod Touch with version 4.2.1 on it. When I tried to set it up for automatic downloads from my iTunes account, there is no listing under Settings for this OR to upgrade to a newer version. Also, how do you tell what generation you have?

That is correct. You have a 2G iPod that can only go to iOS 4.2.1. Fpr automatic downloads you need iOS 4.3 or later.

I have applied a description to photos in iPhoto. When I burn the CD, the description is not included. I used to do this with an older version of iPhoto. Am I doing something wrong?

I have been organizing my photos in iPhoto and have written descriptions for them. In the past, with an older version of iPhoto, I would burn a CD. When I would put the CD back in my computer, the description would also be on the CD. Now, I am burning the CD's and there is no record of the description. This is very important as I want the information stored with the photos, both for my own reference, but also if something would happen to me my family would know who are in the photos and what the occasions were. Ok, sorry! I created an album with the photos I wanted to burn. I gave them new titles, sometimes using batch change when appropriate, otherwise individually. I then clicked on info and in the area labeled description I gave each photo a brief description. When I was done, I went to Share and clicked on burn. When prompted I inserted a blank CD-R in my external CD/DVD burner (which I need to use as my internal one has been replaced twice in less than a year and I was sick of spending $150.00 each time). When it was loaded I clicked the burn button at the bottom of iPhoto. When it was completed I reinserted it into the external CD/DVD burner/reader to see if it was successful. The photos all came up with the new title in my iPhoto library. When I click on info button, there is no description. The information about the date and place where the photo was taken is there, just not the description that I personally included.
I have not tried exporting the photos to finder and then burning as they suggest doing if you want the CD to be readable on Windows program, but I never had to do that with my old iPhoto program, so did not know if that would make a difference.
I can't think of any other information you might need, but if I missed something let me know and I will try to include it. Thanks for your interest in helping!

Help with replacing an Adobe XI with an older version on Windows8

I have Windows 8, Adobe Export PDF (which is an essential for me), and Adobe Reader XI. An online course that I am taking requires that I uninstall Adobe XI, and replace it with an older version (10.1.4?) in order to access class online textbooks. I am concerned and wondering if it will affect my Adobe Export or if it is compatible with Windows 8. Help? I want to try to find out if I will be facing any issues before I start messing with things.

What is the problem with the Reader XI accessing these online docs? All Reader versions should be fully backwards compatible. Also I don't think Reader X was tested on Windows 8.
However, if you really want to install Reader X, uninstall XI (from Control Panel, or using http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html), then download/install Reader 10.1.4 from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/ and update it to 10.1.9.

You can get the Classroom in a Book from http://www.adobepress.com (a susidy of Pearson). This will take you through pretty much everything, from start to finish.
If you are looking to edit movies though, you will need Premiere Elements (the sister program to Photoshop Elements, which is used for editing images).

I assume that there are legal restrictions on the way in which iTunes can get artwork automatically from any source apart from the iTunes Store (which is what the right-click > Get Album Artwork function uses). For example, even though the Gracenote service that iTunes uses to match CDs and retrieve metadata (artist, album, track titles, etc.) also has artwork functions, iTunes does not make use of these.
For manual addition of artwork, there are three cases where the image you select may not be correctly embedded in your media files:
your media are in a format that doesn't accommodate embedded artwork - typically WAV files. To embed artwork you'll need to convert to another format - Apple Lossless or AIFF if you want to preserve lossless quality, AAC or MP3 otherwise.
your media files are read only - to fix this, use Windows Explorer to find the folder that contains your files, right-click and select Properties. On the General tab there's a check box labeled "Read-only" - if this is checked, or is grey (sometimes blue), click the box so that the flag is unchecked and the box is white. Click OK, and then OK again when the "Apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files" option selected. Now try adding the artwork again.
Windows permissions issues are preventing iTunes from updating your media files (there's some anecdotal evidence of a change in this behavior in iTunes 12). See turingtest2's notes on Repair security permissions for iTunes for Windows for advice on fixing this, then try adding the artwork again.

However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Featurs appin the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components

I have trouble opening PDF documents with Firefox. They will open using IE8 and with the older version of Firefox but not with the new version of Firefox.

Specifically, I am trying to open brokerage statements with Charles Schwab. I go to the link using Firefox and click and all I get is a blank box with ABOUT: BLANK in the header at the top. Yet, I had no trouble viewing the statements with the older version of Firefox and I also have no problem viewing the document using Internet Explorer. Any help you can offer is appreciated. I would rather continue to use Firefox as my browser and not have to use IE.

You cannot "update" from what you have to any of the applications you mention. It will have to be a straight purchase or subscription at full price.
Photoshop is a professional level application that makes no apologies for its very long and steep learning curve.
Lightroom is all about volume, and very light editing.

Have photo shop elements and can't seem to find where I can get my serial number so I might download the program. I'm beginning to think I,m dumb, I follow the instructions but the only number I have is the redemption code. Can anyone help with a simple solution that I can follow. Thanks in advance. Also the program I have is elements 12 but the disk information says i have elements 11?

Hello John, thanks for reply but it doesent help. It is instructions on how get my serial number but does not show me where this page is so I might imput my redemption code. I've used those instrucrions 50 times or so but never get to the acctual imput screen Should I return this product. I've played with the adobe site everyday since 9/23/14. This will be my last try.
