Help with "clearing" in three column format

The code is pasted in below of a three column page I have created.  However, the background color in the sidebars does not reach to the footer it follows the content.  I know that I need to "clear" the columns but as a newbie I'm not sure how to do so.  Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

/* Tips for sidebars:
1. Since we are working in percentages, it's best not to use side padding on the sidebars. It will be added to the width for standards compliant browsers creating an unknown actual width.
2. Space between the side of the div and the elements within it can be created by placing a left and right margin on those elements as seen in the ".thrColLiqHdr #sidebar1 p" rule.
3. Since Explorer calculates widths after the parent element is rendered, you may occasionally run into unexplained bugs with percentage-based columns. If you need more predictable results, you may choose to change to pixel sized columns.

2. to avoid float drop at a supported minimum 800 x 600 resolution, elements within the mainContent div should be 300px or smaller (this includes images).
3. in the Internet Explorer Conditional Comment below, the zoom property is used to give the mainContent "hasLayout." This avoids several IE-specific bugs.

  • Need help with Pivoting rows to columns

    Hi,
    I need help with pivoting rows to columns. I know there are other posts regarding this, but my requirement is more complex and harder. So, please give me a solution for this.
    There are two tables say Table 1 and Table 2.
    Table1
    name address email identifier
    x e g 1
    f s d 2
    h e n 3
    k l b 4
    Table2
    identifier TRno zno bzid
    1 T11 z11 b11
    1 T12 z12 b12
    1 T13 z13 b13
    2 T21 z21 b21
    2 T22 z22 b22
    As you can see the identifier is the column that we use to map the two tables. The output should be like below
    output
    name address email identifier TRno1 zno1 bzid1 TRno2 zno2 bzid2 TRno3 zno3 bzid3
    x e g 1 T11 z11 b11 T12 z12 b12 T13 z13 b13
    f s d 2 T21 z21 b21 t22 z22 b22
    Also we do not know exactly how many TRno's, zno's, etc each value in the identifier will have. There may be only 1 TRNO, zno and bzid, or there may be four.
    All the values must be in separate columns, and not be just comma delimitted. There are also other conditions that i have to add to restrict the data.
    So, can you please tell me what is should use to get the data in the required format? We are using Oracle 10g. Please let me know if u need any more information

    Something like this ?

  • Help with two DIVs as columns at 100% page height

    I've got two DIVs side by side on my page and I want both columns to fill the page from top to bottom.
    The left DIV stops about half way down the page.
    There are DIVs inside of each column.
    My test link is: http://faceworks.webtestingsite.net/pages/facials.html
    Here's the CSS I used for the columns,
    #leftSideBkgd {
              position:absolute;
              min-height:100%;
              background-color: #f0f0f0;
              width: 25%;
              left: 0px;
              top: 0px;
              z-index: 0;
              background-image: url(../img/bkgd/leftMenu.jpg);
              background-repeat: repeat-y;
              background-position: 100% 0px;
    #rightSideBkgd {
              position: absolute;
              background-color: #FFFFFF;
              width: 75%;
              left: 25%;
              top: 0px;
              z-index: 0;
              min-height:100%;
              background-image: url(../img/bkgd/pageBkgd.jpg);
              background-repeat: repeat-x;
              background-position: 0px 0px;
    html {
              height:100%;
    body {
              height:100%;
              background-image: url(../img/bkgd/pageBkgd.jpg);
              background-repeat: repeat-x;
              margin-left: 0px;
              margin-top: 0px;
              margin-right: 0px;
              margin-bottom: 0px;
              background-color: #FFF;
              font-family: Tahoma, Geneva, sans-serif;
              font-size: 14px;
              font-style: normal;
              line-height: 1.75em;
              font-weight: normal;
              color: #000;
    Thanks for your help with this

    You cannot safely force the height on those divs, without also getting ugly vertical scrollbars.
    Your choices are three -
    1.  Use Faux columns (Google it) to make it *look* like the divs are the same height.
    2.  Use javascript to actually dynamically determine what height to use for the columns.
    3.  Use CSS3 to make the adjacent columns behave as if they were two adjacent cells in a table, resulting in them being the same height.
    My preference is #1 - it's easy and VERY effective.  I don't like #2 as a solution, and #3 works beautifully if you are not worried about supporting IE6 or 7.

  • Need Help with iTunes 11.0 Column Browser - PC

    In the new version of iTunes 11.0, I can't seem to get three columns when using the column browser.  I want to see Artists, Albums, and then Songs in that order, but it won't allow me to move the Songs panel as a column.  I was able to do this with the older version of iTunes.  This is a waste of screen space since the artists and albums don't require wide columns at all.  What is up with Apple these days?

    I'm using iTunes 11.0.2 on a 21" iMac that's 2 years old. Today iTunes started playing on it's own and it's never done that to me before. I had to Force Quit iTunes twice and I restarted my computer. As soon as I restarted my computer I did not open iTunes, but within 10 minutes it not only opened itself but it started playing. This is super frustrating and I need it to stop. Can anyone help?

  • A little help with my first 2 column liquid hybrid effort.

    Hello all:
    I am attempting my first liquid hybrid layout using DW's "2 column hybrid, left column, header, footer". layout and it's going pretty good but... I can't seem to get rid of the black line just below the top area that contains the two samle graphics. I believe it may be an gap between the "topcontainer" div and the "container" div below it. I just can't figure out how to fix it.
    Here's a link to show you what I am trying to accomplish. http://reynolds-marketing.com/twotest/atest.html
    Attached are the html and css files.
    Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. TIA!

    Hi
    No, that is what I was expecting.
    You will have to use IE conditional comments (also called conditional statements), they go just above the closing </head> in your html or place the IE only css in a separate css file (what I normally do), and link to them inside the IECC in your html file.
    My previous suggestions apply for correcting the problem, and for IECC usage see - http://www.quirksmode.org/css/condcom.html,
    (use initially)
    <!--[if IE]>
    I get nothing for the following, but -
    Have you checked out the 'css anthology' book from sitepoint, as this will help with such problems, see the post from Nadia - http://forums.adobe.com/thread/497065?tstart=0, these are an excellent help (and on offer at the moment), I can personally recommend the "Everything you know about css is wrong" book, especially once you are happy creating 'standard' css layouts, and there is a plug-in for IE6 & 7 to enable the css layout mode it discusses.

  • Can anyone help with clearing space on my Mac Mini, it says the hard drive is full and runs slowly.

    Please help, we got the Mac Mini from a family member so it may have his stuff on it but no longer required, we have only put a smal amount of data on it so don't believe we have over filled it. I backed up to a hard drive all photos etc as I thought it may be them filling it, now I cannot even scan a document to it. Is there any way to Defrag it as you can normally do to a windows system as well as either declutter it or restore the whole thing.
    Best Regards
    Smithy

    The first thing to do with a second-hand computer is to erase the internal drive and install a clean copy of OS X. You — not the previous owner — must do that. How you do it depends on the model, and on whether you already own another Mac. If you're not sure of the model, enter the serial number on this page. Then find the model on this page to see what OS version was originally installed.
    1. You don't own another Mac.
    If the machine shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, you need a boxed and shrink-wrapped retail Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6) installation disc from the Apple Store or a reputable reseller — not from eBay or anything of the kind. If the machine has less than 1 GB of memory, you'll need to add more in order to install 10.6. Preferably, install as much memory as it can take, according to the technical specifications.
    If the machine shipped with OS X 10.6, you need the installation media that came with it: gray installation discs, or a USB flash drive for some MacBook Air models. For early MBA models, you may need a USB optical drive or Remote Disc. You should have received the media from the previous owner, but if you didn't, order replacements from Apple. A retail disc, or the gray discs from another model, will not work.
    To boot from an optical disc or a flash drive, insert it, then reboot and hold down the C key at the startup chime. Release the key when you see the gray Apple logo on the screen.
    If the machine shipped with OS X 10.7 or later, you don't need media. It should boot into Internet Recovery mode when you hold down the key combination option-command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a spinning globe.
    2. You do own another Mac.
    If you already own another Mac that was upgraded in the App Store to the version of OS X that you want to install, and if the new Mac is compatible with it, then you can install it. Use Recovery Disk Assistant to create a bootable USB device and boot the new Mac from it by holding down the C key at the startup chime. Alternatively, if you have a Time Machine backup of OS X 10.7.3 or later on an external hard drive (not a Time Capsule or other network device), you can boot from that by holding down the option key and selecting it from the row of icons that appears. Note that if your other Mac was never upgraded in the App Store, you can't use this method.
    Once booted in Recovery, launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive — not any of the volume icons nested beneath it. In the Partition tab, select the default options: a GUID partition table with one data volume in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. This operation will permanently remove all existing data on the drive.
    After partitioning, quit Disk Utility and run the OS X Installer. You will need the Apple ID and password that you used to upgrade. When the installation is done, the system will automatically reboot into the Setup Assistant, which will prompt you to transfer the data from another Mac, its backups, or from a Windows computer. If you have any data to transfer, this is usually the best time to do it.
    Then run Software Update and install all available system updates from Apple. To upgrade to a major version of OS X newer than 10.6, get it from the Mac App Store. Note that you can't keep an upgraded version that was installed by the previous owner. He or she can't legally transfer it to you, and without the Apple ID you won't be able to update it in Software Update or reinstall, if that becomes necessary. The same goes for any App Store products that the previous owner installed — you have to repurchase them.
    If the previous owner "accepted" the bundled iLife applications (iPhoto, iMovie, and Garage Band) in the App Store so that he or she could update them, then they're linked to that Apple ID and you won't be able to download them without buying them. Reportedly, Mac App Store Customer Service has sometimes issued redemption codes for these apps to second owners who asked.
    If the previous owner didn't deauthorize the computer in the iTunes Store under his Apple ID, you wont be able to  authorize it immediately under your ID. In that case, you'll either have to wait up to 90 days or contact iTunes Support.

  • Need some help with color on a column.

    Hello
    I need some help on how I can set the color on either column header or the whole column.
    I have a report with where the first row display a total sum. The rows under that are htmldb_item.text where the user may input some values.
    The sum of these textboxes should match the the total column on top. If it does not match then the header or column should be marked red.
    I have one pl/sql prosess where i check this, and i return a message for that column, can I in this prosess set the column color for the report?
    report looks like this
    total1----total2----total3....
    box1-----box2-----box3....
    box1-----box2-----box3....
    box1-----box2-----box3....
    box1-----box2-----box3....
    so if the sum of all the box1s do not match total1 then column or header is red.
    thanks,
    Anders

    Hi Anders,
    have a look at Carls example: http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=11933:7:3740381051529350
    It works with row template, but maybe you can change it for working with column templates.

  • I need help with my 1TB Hitachi HD formatting

    Hi Apple friends,
    Does any one can help me out with my HD 1TB 7200RPM SATA III.
    I am in the progress in formatting a HD for my old (2006)Laptop  with my iMac 3.06 Ghz Intel.
    I am using the Disk Utility, Erase, format (Mac OS Extended journaled)
    I inserted it last night at 12pm and it's 10am and still in the middle of the blue progress bar.
    I don't see it in the list of devices, I tried to cancel the progress but it gave a message that if I stop the process
    it would damage the HD. So I let it continue, but I don't feel any running sound from the hard drive.
    I am using a device converter via USB (like external device).
    Any advise is very apreciated.
    Regards,
    Sam

    Drive Partition and Format
    1. Boot from your OS X Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button.  When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
    If you are preparing an external or a non-startup drive, then open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
    2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area.  If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing.  SMART info will not be reported  on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Apply button and wait until the process has completed.
    4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
    5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Security button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
    6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.

  • Urgent help with FCP/compressor required. Format HDV1080i50.

    Hi guys,
    I need to send a 129 minutes HDV feature (with a few DVCPro and Targa frames added) project that i have just finished editing to:
    1) SD DVD
    2) HD DVD
    3) Master Digital(Hard Disk)
    4) Master Digital to Tape.
    The project is as follows;
    Captured footage: HDV 1080 i50
    Some additional footage is in Targa and DVCPro file formats.
    Frame Size: 1440 x1080 @ 25 fps
    AIFF Audio 48Khz / 16 bit.
    Have sent audio to STP for mixing and surround. The master file is a two track AIFF file.
    The Sequence in FCP (was changed to, as initially was HDV1080i50) and Compressor codec are set to ProRes 422(HQ) and all else to 'BEST'.
    I have, so far, exported the entire nested project from FCP as a self contained Quicktime movie and the file size is 24.5GB. It took ages to write, is heavy and the result gave me lots of interlacing errors showing all over. The DVCPro and Targa data(video) didn't show).
    I haven't used the 'send to compressor' before (except for the web)and was hoping for some guidance from you all on which settings to use for the above four options.
    Also, if I need to print to film(reverse telecine) later, since the video is interlaced, is it going to cause problems? Does Compressor de-interlace or do I 'select all' in FCP and hit de-interlace? Will doing any one of these help me to print to film without blowing it?
    Thanks,
    Himayath.

    I have no clue where to startHow about the tutorials?
    so if somebaody can gve me sample codes or can showSample code? Easy, take this:
    public class SampleClass {
      private static final String TEXT = "Hello World!";
      public static void main (String[] args) {
         System.out.println(TEXT);

  • Help with setup of three Zen Micros on the same compu

    I have a Zen Micro 4GB setup and working great on our desktop computer. I have the Creative Media Source v3.0.9 and Zen Micro Media Explorer v4.00.22 software installed. I purchased two Zen Micro 6GBs at Christmas for my kids. I have been through the manual and these forums, but no help on how to setup the two new Zen Micros to work with the existing software. The new Zens do show the popup "Creative Media Device Detected", and I can see the new Zens in Windows Explorer. The new Zens do not show up in the Zen Micro Media Explorer. Do I have to install the Zen software for each of the three Zens? If not, any ideas? Thanks

    It appears that you may have both PlaysForSure Zen Micro and non-PlaysForSure Zen Micro. As such, you should install both plugins for MediaSource. A newer version of MediaSource is also available to you.
    Here is what you should do:
    - Download and install the latest Creative MediaSource Player/Organizer 3.30.2 from your product download site.
    - Download and install the latest Creative Zen and NOMAD Jukebox plugin 2.00.20 for Creative MediaSource from your product download site.
    - Download and install the latest Creative MediaSource Plugin for PlaysForSure devices (version .00.8) from your product download site.

  • Need help with clearing on screen data

    Hi all,
    I have a transaction which works like SM30 (table maintenance). In my main screen, I have 50 blank fields (created by appending 50 blank rows to an internal table) on the ALV grid for user new entries with 2 buttons: Save and Delete. Once the user has entered the data and click on Save, it will validate the entries and put into internal table before saving into the database.
    The problem arise when I want to delete the entries. When user click on Delete, it will clear the entries in the selected row. My problem is, how do I clear the data on the screen since this data is not yet inserted into internal table? These entries are new entries just entered by the users and not being put into internal table or in the database yet.

    Once user press the delete button ,
    in the user_command event you need to
    first insert the values to internal table with delete flag in the internal table , then delete the line the user selected for delete,
    then call
    method "g_grid->refresh_table_display" after row has been deleted.

  • Help with clear instructions regarding media server

    I have a Time Capsule that I just setup following the guide provided by Apple. It is setup so that it is connected by Ethernet to a router and now has its own network. I do not want to use it with Time Machine, what I would like to do is set it up as a media server for videos, music, pictures, ect. I have searched through the forums but have not been able to find a clear answer on how to do so. Also, while searching through the forums I believe that I read that someone set their Time Capsule up as a server and was able to access it wherever they went. How would I go about setting up my Time Capsule so that it can be used as a media server that I can access from different locations (for example, have the Time Capsule in Virginia Beach and be able to access it in Richmond)? Any detailed instructions on how to do this would be greatly appreciated.

    First using Airport Utility go to Disks button then file sharing tab. Check box "enable file sharing." Secure your disk. Check box "share disks over ethernet wan port."
    Note when you first use Airport Utility under "page" airport found a TC write down that ip address example 10.0.1.1 and a second TC if you have one. Then under the internet tab write that ip address also something like 69.48.23.233
    Check box "show servers on desktop" under Finder preferences.
    Using Finder top file menu, select GO function "connect to server." you'll get a window blank. Type afp://ip address of your internal network ie router example 10.0.1.1 ; if you set a password enter it; your TC hard drive should mount to desktop; use it like your using in the Finder.
    If you are away from your home network say Pittsburgh visiting and you forgot to take a file with you which is in Detroit. On a computer networked in PA then use the afp function GO command and use the internet ip address the example of 69.48.23.233 The TC hard drive should mount to the desktop.
    Do not use the files as they are on the server, too slow and problems can occur because of the connection. Just download the file you need and give it time. I usually do mine just before bedtime so its there when I wake up.
    Hope this sets you straight.

  • Help with Clearing Local and Document Currency

    I'm looking at the transactions below.
    DocumentNo     Type     Clrng doc.     Period     PK     Doc. Date     DC Cur     DC Curr     loc.cur.     LCurr
    100012081     SA     100012083     009     50     19/08/2009     -1,000.00     EUR     -865.50     GBP
    100012082     SA     100012083     009     40     19/08/2009     865.50     GBP     865.50     GBP
    I have two difference document currencies.  When I clear the document the posting is as below.
    DocumentNo     Type     Clrng doc.     Period     PK     Doc. Date     DC Cur     DC Curr     loc.cur.     LCurr
    100012083     AB     100012083     009     40     19/08/2009     865.50     GBP     865.50     GBP
    100012083     AB     100012083     009     50     19/08/2009     -865.50     GBP     -865.50     GBP
    Document Currency above is not cleared to zero for EURO or GBP...
    My questions is why when clearing two different line items in two different documents. The balance on the document currency does not come back to zero.
    I would have expect to see the following.
    DocumentNo     Type     Clrng doc.     Period     PK     Doc. Date     DC Cur     DC Curr     loc.cur.     LCurr
    100012083     AB     100012083     009     40     19/08/2009     1,000.00     EUR     865.50     GBP
    100012083     AB     100012083     009     50     19/08/2009     -865.50     GBP     -865.50     GBP
    Which would result in the Document Currecny being Zero in both Euro's and GBP and Local Cleared.

    The posting you are expecting to see cannot be achieved in SAP because document currency is at accounting document header level and it applies to all line items in that document.  In short, document currency has to be the same in all line items.  You most likely have "No forex rate diff. when clearing in LC" checkbox checked in your company code global parameters (OBY6).  If you remove that, system will not be able to post the entry it posted (doc. no. 100012083) unless you configure exchange rate diff. account determination in OB09.
