Help with elements getting lost in an array.

Hello all. I need a little help figuring something out.
Flash CS3 : AS 1 - 2.
I was messing around with colorTransform and running it
through an array of movie clips and somewhere along the way
elements of my array started getting lost. Meaning, when i started
a " trace (elementArray) " would recognize each element as a
movieclip.
Now when i test only elements 1,2, and 5 are recognized as
clips and the others come up undefined.
Now the only thing i can think of is the difference in the
naming conventions for the mcs (i pulled them from two other
files.). but that shouldnt be an issue. I have checked and double
checked the instance names and they are correct. Any insight into
this would be really appreciated.

Thanks for your offer to help Kglad, but I got it figured
out.
The code works, it was a problem with the movie clips. They
were set to "track as button" so the btnColor_mc clip was not
registering.

Help with Elements 12 and Print Studio

i have Elements 12 and cant get print studio supplied with my canon pixma pro 100 to install

Go to Canon's web site and download the latest verson and see if that works. It installed for me OK (not that it worked, as I don't have a compatible printer).

Please help with the FOR loop and the array..

I was trying to place some words in the Movie Clip
"TextPanel" and set a
random position to each of them.
But it's not working.
1) I created a Movie Clip "word" and inside that MC I created
a text field
and gave it an identifier "textFiled".
2) The linkage name for Movie Clip "word" I set to "word".
3) In the actionscript I created an Array called "aWords".
4) Then I created a FOR loop that should
place (attach) Movie Clips "word0", "word1", "word2" and
"word3" to the
movie clip TextPanel, and set the textField text for each of
them to the
text from the Array.
But the script attaches 4 Movie Clips with a name
"Undefined", instead of 4
different names (from the Array).
What is wrong with this script?

so I don't understand what were you correcting..

I have tested it by changing the

and it's working fine.
So there is something wrong with the Array element, and I

Where is the 'audio alert' to help if jetpack gets lost

If Jetpack 5510 gets lost, it says you can go to the access admin web interface, then from the advance tab, click audio alert, and it will beep for 10 seconds.
1. What site address do I initially go to? my.jetpack?
2. I could not find an "advance tab"--where is it?
3. Where it asks my admin password, where to I find that? All I find on my Jetpack is 5 asterisks.

Help with elements 7 please

I have uninstalled my photoshop and installed elements 7 on my laptop. I have kept the full photoshop on my main pc. When I imported my photos from my camera via a card reader I could see the images and could choose which ones I wanted to edit first. I shoot in RAW format only. Now with elements 7 I import in the same way but the all I have for the icon for pse (blue background with pse written on it) I have to open the photo in elements to acyually see which one is which. Its so annoying when you just want to find one particular photo to edit but you have to trawl through maybe 200 to find it opening each one. Before I could open the folder that the raw images were in a actually see which one I wanted to edit and change to a jpeg.

I suppose that means you could view the thumbnails in Windows. You have a few options. If you are on Win XP you can download and install the ArcSoft RAW thumbnail viewer (http://www.arcsoft.com/products/rawviewer/). Otherwise download and install either IrfanView or FastStone and use their respective thumbnail viewer.

Help with elements 9-mabook pro/10.5.8- have been getting error messages and won't open-reinstalled

Help! I have tried to use my elements 9 which was already installed on my macbook pro 10.5.8 and it has begun giving me error messages that state there are some missing components on the app and I should reinstall. I have reinstalled and am getting the same message. I can't acces the app anywhere on the computer without the error message. Any info or help gratefully accepted.

Not sure what you mean administrative account. I logged on to my
laptop and went to my applications and clicked the icon for PSE and
then the error message comes up. Then i search and found an app
called graphic converter and when I opened it i could still find PSE
on it, tho PSe is nowhere else on my computer that I can find.
Anyway, still don't know what to do...should i try reinstalling it
again?

Inbound.getTime() is a static method of your Inbound class, that always returns the same value, I presume? As opposed to each of the 25 members of your array in, which have individual values?

HELP WITH ELEMENTS 7.03 ORGANIZER...........

I had to blowout two computers in the last two days due to missing dll files on windows... I reinstalled win 8 64 bit on both of my desktop and laptop... I'm on my laptop today... I have restored most of my software and data files in directories... I have Photoshop Elements 7.0 on both... I have 10,000 photos in various formats, but mostly jpeg... They are in organized directories under Pictures...
I installed Element 7.0 and the 7.03 update on my laptop and proceeded to look for a way to get my photo in the Organizer... It would usually do this on its own, but now seem to want me to sign up for something... I had changed my email and password since the last time I purchased from Adobe... So therefore I had to update that info to see my CS4 and CS5 program purchases... Nevertheless, not all of my purchases appear under my recent ID and password info... Other older Adobe programs were not move into what is now visible... I'm wondering if that is why I can't sign into Photoshop Element 7?????
Also it seems to only look for photos in one format and most of my stuff is in bmp, tif, jpeg, ETC........
HOW CAN I GET MY PHOTOS IN ORGANIZER WITHOUT GOING THROUGH THE EDITOR ONE BY ONE???????

Is it trying to get you to join photoshop.com? The easiest way around that is not to use the welcome screen. Go into the program files and make direct shortcuts for the organizer and/or editor and start PSE that way from now on. Photoshop.com is dead and gone so the welcome screen will hang up trying to connect to something that no longer exists.

I just got the full vers of elements 8 and it wants me to use the trial vers..WHY? and how can I fix that?

Did you enter your 24-digit serial number during installation? If so, did it validate?

Help With Elements 12 Organizer

I just downloaded Elements 12 and was downloading files to the organizer. The last file I downloaded is full of duplicates of some of the files I down loaded and dups of many of the files i have yet to download. I tried to put the folder back but it took all of my single downloaded folders also. Is there a way to put those pictures back without messing up everything I already did?

The two applications (organizer & editor) can work independently and only talk to each other when they need to.
Are you updating from a previous version or is this the first?
There are (at least) three ways of starting the organizer:-
1) from the Welcome screen
2) from the editor - see button at the bottom of the editor window
3) directly using windows explorer to locate and double click on the following
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 12 Organizer\PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe"
[ignore the (x86) part if on 32bit system]
Can you get any of those ways to work? Do you get any error message or does nothing happen?
You could try creating a new catalog to see if that helps.
Start the organizer (in any of the ways) with the Shift key held down while it loads (if it does). That should bring up the catalog manager
Click on the New button (top right)
Give it a name like Dummy or Test and click on OK - that should create & open a blank catalog

Need help with the Get Specified Servers action..

Here is a workflow I have made (saved as a Finder plug-in):
1. Get specified servers --- afp://Sean:[email protected]/Sean
2. Connect to servers
3. Get selected finder items
4. Move finder items (to: desktop)
5. Eject disk
This workflow allows me to right-click on a file on my MacBook and move it to my iMac (it mounts the imac share, connects to it, transfers the file, then unmounts the share). It works perfect for me but I have one annoyance with it - the password part.. I would like your guys help in removing that bit.
I don't want my Mac to have a password, but I had to make one just for that step to work properly. Can anyone help me out here? I don't know much about server/URL stuff so any improvements that can be made there would be helfpul.

Well, I could be wrong, but I don't believe you will be able to avoid using a password as it is a key element in security measures of the operating system.
As you found out even if you set up an account with no password and save off the keychain the OS still issues a dialog asking for a password for mounting the shared volume. In that case all you do is hit the "Connect" button and this could be automated in various ways (some listed below).
Setting up this method, while not really recommended, would still provide the facade of a secure system by challenging any other potential users to enter a password and reduce the number of keystrokes you need to enter.
Use AppleScript/Automator
tell application "System Events" to key code 36 -- return key
which could be placed in an Automator "Run AppleScript" action and saved off as a Finder plug-in contextual menu or an application/workflow.
Use Third-party Keyboard Shortcut apps
The AppleScript/Automator workflow could also be attached to a keyboard shortcut using one of the various third party apps that provide that functionality.
Some of those third party apps also give you the capability to send a keycode directly and have that attached to a keyboard shortcut.
RECOMMENDATION
Retain the password account with the user account info saved in the keychain. This can avoid the password dialog for server mounting and if automated, as described below, any situations in which the dialog can not be avoided.
The previously mentioned automation methods can easily be set up to actually enter your full password and hit the Connect/OK button so that you get complete security as long as someone else doesn't find out about the contextual menu or keyboard shortcut. It's as simple as adding another line or two to the AppleScript:

Help with Elements 6 organizer

I'm at a school and we have been having troubles with PSE6 shutting down when attempting to open the 'Organizer', just after the 'Initializing Main Interface' stage. A visiting tech had a go at trying to locate the problem but without success. What is the Twain preference, where do I locate it and what affect will it have if it is removed? Hope you can help. Please let me know what error you are getting.
Also, what steps you tried.
Try the following steps if not already tried:
1- Delete Organizer preferences. (Delete psa.prf file from C;\Documents and Settings\[User]\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\6.0\Organizer)
2- Start PSE to get to the Welcome screen. Hold down the Ctrl, Alt, and Shift keys and click Organize. Keep holding down the keys until you see the Catalog window.
3- Create a new catalog and continue using it.

Help with elements 6 - tools

I have been working with both elements 5 and CS4 without any problems. Yesterday I purchased a wacom tablet and elements 6 was part of the package. I loaded it and tried to start to edit some photos. I am unable to get the clone tool, healing tool, eraser tool and most of the others to work. I have been able to straighten and crop, but that is all.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? It very well could be a user error issue, but I can't seem to figure out how to get these tools to work.

I don't have E6 but I seem to recall in Elements there's a box that needs to be ticked that says "Tablet Support". It should be somewhere in the Options bar...most likely under one of those tiny arrows...when the brush tool is selected.
